We are on another short (three day) caching holiday in Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains, staying for two nights in a park cabin at the Ingenia Nepean River BIG4 Holiday Park at Emu Plains. Hoping to collect the new Adventure Labs, Letterbox, Traditional, and Puzzle/Mystery caches that have appeared around Penrith & surrounds since our last visit to the area back in May 2023. Will also be returning to the lower Blue Mountains for some new caches and to attend a Winter Solstice Event at Mount Riverview, and a Post Winter Solstice CITO Event the following day at Cranebrook. Photos will be uploaded to logs on our return to home base. This was the 3rd of 11 finds for the day (day 1), and 3rd find of the holiday. After finding a Letterbox cache just off West Street we left the geomobile parked on West Street and followed the bush track down to this Traditional cache. Quickly found the cache, and just as we did a diesel freight train came roaring past, then a inter-suburban electric coming in the opposite direction. TNLNSL, then replaced as found. It's a great place for train spotting. TFTC muninjitsu.Find #6853
I'm at a conference in Glenbrook for ten days. I came out for a walk with Boofs this evening, and this was the second cache that we found. Thanks for the cache, muninjitsu!
Visited it during 28-days geotrip to Australia, N.Caledonia, Vanuatu, Fiji, Am.Samoa, Fr.Polynesia with Marci, Ch. Sometimes we logged as "MT" or "Jonea" or "MTCh". Thanks for showing nice caches and places. MT-Jonea from Brno city in Czechia EU.
Parking at the end of West St i took the route across then down to GZ,enjoyed the walk and view, cache was soon found after a short searchThanks for the cache
Somewhere in thereNo idea what kings throne refers to, just rocksMuggy to next level muggy, only thing missing was mugglesWill try again another day when wife n kids aren't in car
Being on this side of the Great Western Highway and with some time to spare I decided that despite the fact that it was 38 degrees I'd walk slowly down to this cache. The track was a bit shady and it wasn't too far. I soon spotted a place where I could see the railway and the bushland opposite. That's the place to begin my search. With it being really hot and lots of potentially good snake hides I broke a piece off a stick and began to walk around poking my stick in possible hiding spots. I'd soon walked a sort of circuit and ended up where I started, but from this angle I could see the cache!TFTC # 5771
On the last day of my first half year of geocaching, a nice stroll somewhere in Lower Blue Mountains, TFTC even if its wet up here
Caching with oldmorty on our way back to Sydney.A leisurely stroll along the track to the throne.Soon spotted the cache.TFTC
Fading light, short walk down to the king’s throne but didn’t see the king. All good with the hide too
Took awhile, with Geokiddies and Geowife having had enough. But with one DNF already under our belt, had to press on for the find. One muggle out walking, but didn’t catch us.
Have had my eye on this cache for a while. I just hadn’t come to find it. I woke up this morning and was like, let’s go and find the kings throne. With all of the heavy rain yesterday I thought the cache would be wet as and the trail. The trail was a little wet but not that bad. My gps was playing up at first but then came to its sense and told me where to go. Very nice hiding spot and lovely area. Thanks for placing this cache

A great way to start our Blue Mountains mini getaway! Cache was a little exposed but we will ensure it is tucked away nicely before we leave here. Tftc!
So much for no muggles! Bunch of teens hanging out... I guess we come back after school holidays are over...
Needed a quick find today towards the Fill the Calendar challenge cache. This one fitted the bill nicely.
I was very luckily to come across this one fairly quickly as there was quite a large area to search. TFTC
If there's one thing that weird me out in the great outdoors... I'll bet you couldn't even guess! Spiders don't worry me too much, nor snakes, I mean, I'm not going to stop for a play date with them but I'll just take a slight detour and be on my way. The one thing that'll set me scrambling hurriedly away is ants. This one time... at band camp... (no, really, at a playground as I watched my kids play) I was bitten by an ant and had such a bad reaction I couldn't put shoes on for 2 days. Imagine ringing your boss to say "sorry, I can't work, got bitten by an ant!" Thankfully she was a good boss.
Speaking of detours; twice today on paths in/Out from GZ I had cause to think "Oh, wrong path!" Thankfully the detours were easy (around the gate clearly only thereto stop vehicles and a little side path around the fallen tree.)
TFTC.

Thankfully a quick find at GZ. Short walk along the trail. All good with the cache. TFTC
Day 56 of 365! This years resolution is to find at least a cache a day. Not only for the thrill of the chase but I’ll also get super fit as well!
A great walk this morning from my Granma’s house in this lovely forest even in the rain. A nice quick find for me. Tftc left a TB

My third find for the morning and a second fire trail walk in. After reaching GZ there was a short search before locating the prize I was looking for.
Retrieved the cache, signed the log and replaced as found. tftc
Cache and contents all in good condition.

Couldn't find it. Looked for 20 minutes. Lots of garbage left around, so it might have impeded our search.
Tftc - not sure what the kings throne is about? Be aware of a snake, small but will grow
Lovely walk in an area unknown to us. Would be noisy at the cache with trains passing, quiet today. Quick find once at gz. TFTC
#3676 (6 of 10 today)
I had part of a trackable, **baby&Mrs gopher** had the (more important) other bit, and we were able to meet up at **thomo31's** place to reunite them.
That done and some pleasant cache-talk later, it was time for me to head out in 45+ degree heat to grab a few caches.
Off to a bad start with two DNFs in my first three attempts, but then things picked up and ended up with ten finds for the day, including a First2Find on a cache by **thomo31**. How's that for synchronicity?
Thanks to her and the gophers. Enjoyable day, great company to start the day. Pity it was sooooooooo hot!
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Was worried because this cache hasn't been found in almost six months.
But it's finally getting cooler, so dared a small bushwalk with a possible DNF at the end.
OK, found the railway line, but I'm still a bit from GZ.
Started the search. My poached brain probably didn't help, so it took about 10 minutes before I found the right spot. No problems here - CIH.
Completed signing duties, watched the trains go past, then replaced and back to *The Hademobile*.

Out raging on a Friday night with Team CDRSS + 1 although technically this one was found in the early hour of Saturday morning. I made the discovery of this cache. SL #1985 on streak day 1052 TFTC

Had some time after an appointment in Glenbrook and there was a cache that I have not got yet. Hmm doesn't look to hard (no bush bashing) in good clobber. However it has been raining for 4 days straight so it was very mushy and had to go round some big mud puddles. Tried attacking from the sealed track, but no too much bush bashing that way, so went around the back way and it was exactly where I would have expected, and nicely hidden. TFTC muninjitsu. I thought, this is a big enough cache for TB, so I may come back and drop one in.
Ai, tis tru to be 6m out. Tftc. Twas a hard one. A hardy hollow is not a hole in the rocks, i lernt the hard way. Tfth
Wondered in and made the find but always had a feeling I was being watched even if I couldn't see anybody else around. Tftc tnln
A very wet and rainy day what else do you do but rug up and find a cache in the bush with the geokids.
Took the Geosteed out for a ride and headed off to this one first. Nice track heading in and out and a good hide. TFTC
Had intended to get out here with the family for a bike ride along the fire trails. School holidays so today was the day. Found the throne and the treasure after a short search. Sat on the throne for some morning tea but no trains came past in our window. TFTC.
Parked at the suggested "West St" and wandered down to GZ. If I had my 4x4 in Sydney I could just about have driven there but the "Red Ant" Hyundi I30 does not have the clearance so used the old legs instead.
Thanks again muninjitsu for placing this cache for us to find.
