Did you know that planning has started for a Mega Event in Wellington in 2018? Check out the details on the [Wellington Event NZ (WENZ) Website](https://sites.google.com/site/wenzgeo2018/home) or visit the event's page on [FaceBook](https://www.facebook.com/groups/590545297801072/).

Thanks to the Cache Owner who has gone to the trouble of creating this cache, determining the coordinates and then averaging them to make sure they are accurate, placing the cache and registering it online for our enjoyment. Without Cache Owners doing their bit, there wouldn't be a fun hobby that we all love - so again a big THANK YOU. For our bit, all we need to do is find and log the cache that was carefully placed for our personal enjoyment. As we log it we should consider that the Cache Owner also needs to maintain it - when the log sheet fills up, they must replace it. When the container becomes full of water, they need to empty it. When the container is broken, they need to repair it. When it goes missing they need to find or replace it. Well..... the great news is we can do our bit too - make sure your log doesn't take an entire page - just a name and date. If full of water, empty and dry the cache as best as possible. Be careful when handling the cache and make sure you replace it where you found it. If it has a bag, seal it. Just remember - the Cache Owner showed respect to you by placing the cache - please respect them and fellow cachers that follow you by being careful with the cache. And if you have a spare log sheet and the cache you are at needs one, please leave it behind. Finally, if the cache does need maintenance, please let the Cache Owner know - you can log a Maintenance Log or you can drop a line to the Cache Owner. Above all - have fun and remember the Geocaching Code.

TFTC, greetings from Czech Republic.

Logbook is soaked.

Three days after the remnants of Cyclone Cook had passed we rode up this cycleway from Clive to Fernhill. We are a little unsure as to which caches we found on our way up so beg for indulgence if we have logged some and not actually found them. What was evident was the trees, blown over, how high the flood waters had been and how wet many of the logs were (to the point of being a mushy pulp. We thought we knew where one cache may be but there was a grumpy possum in the hidey hole so we looked no further and haven’t of course logged that as a find. It may be a good idea for cache owners to check their caches are OK. However many thanks to all those who have contributed to the trail. TFTC's

TFTC, nice walk around our sububrs.

03-Feb-17
We left Kapiti with its cold, windy often wet summer behind to find some better weather in sunny Hawkes Bay. Looking for a few caches of course, and sometimes finding them in areas we have not been before. This was one we picked up on our journey. A quick find, Tftc. A hot walk to find these caches today.

Gee !!
If feels kinda weird claiming a find on this cache [:o)]
It was also one of the easier finds along the trail Red Face

I am good at DNF's Big Grin
And proud of me record breaking number of DNF claims [^]

No point in trying to find a cache,
not finding it,
sometimes after hours of effort,
and not telling everyone is there ?? [:o]

DNF's are nothing to be ashamed of !!
Rather they should be celebrated for where they take you and the annoyance they sometimes cause Razz

So TFTC,
I BYOP'ed,
and while not the FTF,
enjoyed this cache find in not YACIDKA Wink

TFTC !!

Found this one quite quickly. Then investigated the other side of the road with the intention to drive back to park up and do the ones on the other side. It transpired this took much longer than expected so did not get to do that on this trip. TFTC

Out with my girls on a cold and windy day, we stopped by this cache to give it a go. Found easily due to good GPS coordinates. I ran through here recently as part of the inaugural hawkes bay marathon course. Tftc

14-Jul-16
I decided to drive to this one though I had brought my bike to go the other way but my family from Auckland turned up in Napier for the Brass Band Championships. They will have to wait for another day.

Cheers for the cache.

25-Jun-16
The Three Amigos had planned this trip over several weeks we had a lot on our to do list all the bike trails all the puzzles in town except one we haven't solved all the night trails and all the wherigos plus any trads in between. There was one thing we ran out of while here and that was time so I guess we will be back another day.
I'm pleased we found this cache after several DNF caches along this trail
The rain arrived half way thorough the trail and we were a bit disappointed that some of the caches were missing and have been missing for some time looking at previous logs.
By the time we got back to the car after riding into a cold head wind and rain it was getting dark we were all stuffed maybe we should ride our bikes more lol.
Cut and paste logs for the rest.

25-Jun-16
We had planned a trip from Tauranga to Napier area for weeks now, and this weekend was the time to get as many caches as we could find. We called ourselves "The Three Amigos" (and logged as 'T3A'), comprising of myself, Philip.Perry and Davidsonclan. Leaving at 5am Saturday morning, we knew we had a long weekend ahead of us.

We brought our bikes with the intention of completing all the powertrails here, but instead we only managed this one by bikes - but only just! Excuse the C&P logs from here.

Luckily not a DNF, but it could have been as we spotted this from afar as it was nearly falling out of the tree. Replaced a little more reliably.

Quick find - no problems here, Cheers Timbermills.

We've had this Tauranga to Hawkes Bay trip planned for a couple of months now and these caches were all part of that plan. The caches of this trail were varied, some clever, others not so much. Some were DNFs and others spotted from the track. This series was a bit of a battle at times, especially when the rain set in. TNXPro, DavidsonClan and myself have signed the logs T3A, an acronym from our messenger chat 'The 3 Amigos'.

08-Jan-16
After picking up the prior cache in this trail, and a few other day, understanding hide patterns now.
So as we got here and Hyjynx started searching the obvious place, I detoured to where I thought you would place it, after prior finds.
This turned out to be fruitful and cache soon extracted and formalities could be completed.
Cheers timbermills no DNF this time around.

16-Feb-14
Visited the Hawkes Bay for the Mission concert. Enjoyed it a lot and then spent the Sunday to do some cycling on the tracks. Enjoyed it and found a few caches along the way. Some were tougher than others, gathered some sticking seeds from plants, cow at the GZ and even met fellow cashers. All up a great day. TFTC series.

07-Feb-14
Out on a bike ride with Mr TT, a bit drizzly but enjoying the ride, thanks timbermills.

07-Feb-14
The bear and Mr TT went for a bikeride today whilst Mrs TT went orienteering. Despite the grey, showery conditions, this is a great cycleway. Mr TT grumbled about the biddybids on his socks from some of the caches Smile TFTC

02-Feb-14
Early morning walk for a easy find. Thanks for the cache

01-Feb-14
Yay great cache finding day! May want to check as there seems to have been some pruning down

18-Jan-14
Maintaining all the caches along the trail, got to find it in order to maintain it!

Log was indeed very wet, new log and bag in place.

I approached this cache from the top of the stop bank but couldn't get my gps to pick up a good enough signal to lock down a definite GZ so I returned back to my bike and biked down to the bottom. As I did this I noticed the gps picking up a better signal and I now had a more accurate GZ location and I was able to spot the cache quickly Smile

08-Jan-14
I am pretty sure it was this one where the log was really wet. Someone must have had trouble sealing the plastic bag at it had rained. Managed to put S69 only - it was trying to disintergrate. Anyone rading this beforehand - bring paper along with you to help out log. tftc

03-Jan-14
Stayed overnight in the assigned motorhome area of the carpark and enjoyed an early morning walk in the sunshine gathering caches as we went. Met lots of muggles along the way and our geopup mixed and mingled with the muggle dogs, thanks for setting up the series TFTC.

Found orginally as part of phasevisitor team, now created own account, re-logging as yorkshirekiwi83.

Most Christmas holidays involve a road trip of some description and this year is no exception. Today we were travelling from Gisborne to Napier, picking up a few caches along the way. After arriving in Napier this cycle trail caught our eye, so we decided one of us would walk the trail from SH50A to SH2, while the other did a few things in town and picked me up 3 hours later. Another quick find, although the log was fairly damp. TFTC!
