Logs
Trees have grown up and the view was all trees. Bottom of the camo container is breaking up and hard to secure. Log is almost full. But happy to find the cache and score another smilie. TFTC Parkos.
Up driving around these windy roads with sunshine58 and campari59, we decided on a whim upon passing to turn down this road and not long later this cache was there. Had to park slightly up the road and campari59 kept the car ready lest she have to relocate while we gingerly walked back along the road to the wall. Luckily none passed on that short trek. When we got down to business, it still took some time. Not a fan of rock wall hides. Eventually spied the very well weathered cache, as suspected. Thanks parkos for making us stop and enjoy the view here while not enjoying the rock wall here.
Okay, this took a little longer than it should have. Forget low. Forget levels. Around eye height. About 3 m out. You are looking for a...rock! Tftc
Fortunately for me it was a quick and easy find. Thanks to past logs I knew where to look and the cache stuck out to me pretty quickly, though I reckon it would've been reminiscent of my first cache hide back in the day. Thanks for the cache Parko's!
Out for a solo run, and enjoying the area.Im uploading a photo of the log, as I lost my writing implement between here and my last find. And now I have to go back and find my writing implement.TFTC!
Find 40 of 40 on a full day of caching, driving down from Maleny on the old road into Landsborough, then getting the bikes out for a 30km ride around Landsborough and down to Beerwah and back, then driving back up via Peachester picking off as many caches as we could on the way. An excellent day out with some brilliantly constructed caches to enjoy.
Last of the day, got parked up then started the rock inspection. Didn't take too long.

Finally after about 3 previous visits, this today was a quick find. I had been going on previous clues which had been left in the logs of other caches - that being "down low" and "on the second level". Well on arrival there were only two levels. The down low hint did not apply at all. I wonder if this cache has suffered from some cache creep?? How could we have missed it the other occasions?!
Parko's I found your cache What a Rock'n great view! on 6/7/2022, 11:45 am. This is my find 3687 and find # 3 today. Wonderful views, tricky place to park. Found it after a brief search. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN

After a paddle around Lake Baroon we (Willis007, Nayfee and Triple turmoil) decided to grab a few caches around the Maleny area. There were a few trads, and puzzle cache and a few oldies to help with a challenge or two. We jumped into two cars and off we went.
It was just Triple turmoil and myself now as we made our way home. Making the most of the daylight still left and knowing the traffic will be stupid on the freeway we thought we would grab a few more caches. This was a quick find, though parking was a little tough. I dropped TT off at GZ so she could search while I turned the car around. A local ambulance driver wasn’t sure what was going on so she waited and watched on before she saw all was ok, nice.
With log signed and cache replaced as found we were off to grab a few more. Thanks for placing this one here, it was an easy find for us today and yes some good views.

Today was a kayak challenge mission on Lake Baroon with Chamad, Willis007 and Nayfee. That only took us a few hours in the morning, so that meant we had the pleasure of plenty of daylight left to slowly (with lots of changed routes) make our way back to Brisbane.
By this point in the trip, it was just Chamad and I left. We waited for an ambulance to use the nearby driveway to turn around. At that point, Chamad said "quick, get out and start looking while I turn the car around." The ambulance travelled so so so slowly up the road after turning around, possibly thinking that we were in a domestic argument and I had been kicked out of the car!
Because we knew what we were looking for, the cache was quickly spotted and we were on our way again. Together.

It was indeed a great view. Cache spotted quickly, almost exactly what I was expecting. Parking was a bit of a nightmare though! TFTC Parko's
Loving my early finishes on Fridays! Today, Mr CuriousQuest and I headed towards Landsborough to find a few caches. I had failed to find this cache on a previous visit. Today, I located it very quickly. Not sure how I missed it the first time! Log signed, cache returned to its spot and we headed off to thee next one. TFTC
Out on a Friday afternoon with Selva Girls to pick up some caches. Took a bit of searching to find. TFTC
Difference view of Glass House from where we live. This was a tough one as signal kept bouncing around.
Next find along the road as we made our way back to Toowoomba. We were both a little apprehensive about parking in a private driveway and were hoping for a very quick find. We were in luck quickly spotting what was needed. TFTC and the amazing view Parko's
Pulled off to the side in the driveway on the way to Flaxton. Admired the stunning views before and after finding the cache. Thankfully not a lot of cars were coming by so I didn’t look too suspicious and was allowed to look around. Soon spotted the cache and signed log. Favourite point for the location of this one. Tftc!
I was out today on a country drive with my youngest daughter clocking up some hours on her L PLates. We pulled over as close to gz as we could and I walked back to start the hunt. Lots of choices here, and I began to methodically search. After about 5 minutes my eye fell on something a bit different...yep got it I signed my name and returned as found. Tftc Parko's!

Second time trying to find this sucker! Job well done hiding this. Beautiful views!
This time could actually locate GZ and it looks a little different to ones around it.

Second visit to this spot and still no cache in hand - UGH we hate rock walls - third one done today and all three were DNF's! Oh well we will be back again one day....
Parked up on driveway near wall a 5min search revealed the cache which was well hidden. It is worth the drive for the amazing view around this area! TFTC
Had a few more DNF's than normal while looking for caches in this area.
Not sure whether they were missing or I just couldn't find it [?]
Anyway, this was one of them ...

Found this cache a few weeks ago but forgot to log it. This was the third attempt at finding it so it was extremely gratifying to finally discover it. Talk about a needle in a haystack, or a piece of hay in a haystack! I think I picked up half the rocks in that rock wall before it turned up.
Thanks for the cache, it’s a beautiful spot.
Thanks for the cache, it’s a beautiful spot.
Impossible to find! If I’m supposed to look for a rock in the rock wall then forget it. Gps didn’t work so no help. Clues no help either. Location is always busy with cars so always the chance of being seen. Help to find this one would be appreciated as this was my second try. So frustrating !
It took us a while to find this one, despite Nyssaflutterby having found it before and also spotting it before 1minniemoo and I!
Awesome views from here. What a view to wake up to!

Our caching the area with NyssaFlutterby and Wombles&Co today, and we headed here. Although Nyssa had done this cache before, she had no recollection of it when we pulled up. Parked in the same spot Brother Colin had parked before us, and headed over to begin our search. At first I thought the Terrain rating might suggest it was not in the logical spot, but soon realised my error and we began our search in the right vicinity. Searched here, searched there, searched everywhere. The suddenly Nyssa moves away stating she has seen it and watches us try and work out where she has been. After watching us for a bit, she came back, and then couldn't find it again either!
So we all searched again but at least knew which height it was, and finally we found it again. The extraction was our next hurdle but eventually we had ourselves a sneaky little cache. Names signed - including Nyssa's in case she actually hadn't done it before - then we replaced it in the same spot, careful to camouflage it as it was when we found it.
Thanks for the cache Parko's.

I head up to Maleny regularly for work. And each trip I like to find a cache or three. Now to find a couple on the way home.
I parked the van in the nearby driveway and made my way to GZ.
Eventually I found it tucked away behind a rock or two.
Thanks for the cache.

Had an extensive search but traffic was very heavy today and felt very self conscious, so have abandoned for today.
I am on my way home from Maleny after a couple of days work.
I have a bit of time for a search for this cache, unfortunately I did not find it.
Another day then.

Out on a maintenance run and cache is still there waiting to be found. Happy caching
This was our second search for this elusive cache. I brought some helpers this time thinking some extra eyes would increase my chances of finding it. But no luck. So disappointed!
At least we saw the most amazing sunset and enjoyed the great view. Will return to search again another day

Easter Saturday. The Slow Puncture's were out with their rare caching friend, Adriano76. Rare because whilst he signs the logs, you will not find his presence online. He is just there for the thrill of the find.
Previously, we had been here. Previously, we had been disappointed. We were determined to re-dress that situation today. The search continued as it had done that previous time. Within 5 minutes, Kerry had found it. It was just as we expected it would be. So why couldn't we find it previously? To quote the Beach Boys: "God Only Knows". But now we are happy
This was the 11th of 20 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***Parko's***, for showing us this place.

Last week I decided it was time to do a decent caching run and I chose the area from Woodford North to Maleny then down to Landsborough then down to Caboolture and home. Left Nanango at 0530 in fine weather and 20minurtes later as I drove through Yarrman the drizzle started and continued all day till I arrived home at 1930hours. From drizzle to Rain to fog I got soaked but enjoyed the day especially in the very few dry spots during the day.
This was the third one for the day of 28 and 487Klm dirve and 14 hours in duration. I parked just off the adjacent drive way and allowed the GPSr to settle and walked along the wall following the arrow. I was parked off road in a safe spot and the concrete footpath at the base of the wall put me in a safe spot as well especially in this weather. Very good co o rdinates.
Started my search at about the 1 meter away point and soon had the cleverly concealed container and host in hand. Not much traffic around in the rain and fog. There was a scrap of paper as the current log and there were only three spaces left so I placed two new RITR sheets inside a black bison and placed this one in the host. Signed log YOF as that is what I use on small and micro logs to save space on the paper. TFTC Parko's

On our way back from Kondalilla and Balmoral Lookout and Mary Cairncross, we tried this one again. Yeah, a . And we added a little logbook sheet. Tftc
Oh my gosh what a rock wall when we pulled up i was saying i hope we dont have to search the whole rock wall as we forgot to bring gps and were relying on my phone which at the best of times it can be out. So we started looking and i was reading previous logs thinking how how on earth can people find this easily. So we searched and searched many people raced past us but didnt stop thank goodness. I said to hubby please be my lucky charm and he was after a few mins we found one of these that didnt look like the rest.
It does need a new log as the log is full and i just managed to squeeze my name in, TFTC

I was staying in Maleny for the weekend to attend a wedding this afternoon. While the rest of the family slept in and lazed away the morning, I headed out bright and early to do some caching to fill the time.
I think I can safely say that I am not on the best of terms with rock wall caches - you might even say it has been a rocky relationship. We have been estranged of late and I had placed a restraining order on these caches for the time being. Knowing I was going to be in the area I called in on the way past to see if I could rekindle the relationship. Well my chosen wall for the day decided to do its best to woo me back with a surprisingly quick find here today. Some great views on offer was an added bonus. TFTC

This one was pretty fun to look for, the view was amazing as the sun was setting. The paper log needs to be changed tho as there's no room to write on it.
Unfortunately there was no view for us today.
When we arrived here it was raining and the cloud cover was very low.
On a good note we did find the cache.

We tried this one unsuccessfully about a year ago but this time we managed to locate the cache within 5 seconds! TNLNSL TFTC
Second attempt, took reinforcements - 4 sets of eyes better than 2 sets. Still took us 15minutes, was a little bit more methodical and open minded after it didn't jump out at us. GPS was confused, so went with our gps read last visit, and there it was. TFTC and a few sleepless nights.
Thanks to clueless Alfie (who has shown she's not clueless at all) we found this in no time at all! TFTC.

Finally returned to search for this one again and success this time, at last!
Brought reinforcements this time and J found it well hidden by foliage just a bit further from where I was looking. Great views as usual - just a bit misty with the rain and impending storm.
Fitting camouflage. Road still busy even in inclement weather.
Lucky we didn't park across the driveway - someone came down from the hill while we were there.
Now off to Mary Cairncross for lunch.
Took Friendship TB, though not listed as in the cache.

Pulled up at gz. This one took 40minutes. Became a team effort. Found with piratekain and some new caching friends.
Turned up and found Pirate Kian and Timmyg with their geokids already staring at the wall. So CanadianMoose and I joined in. We had given up the search and on our way back to our cars when "do you guys think this is it?" Was heard. Put my smaller and in and it was it. There was a ants nest in full bloom. Have shaken it out and signed the log.
With the koala. Need to read the previous logs for hints. Hard find but worth it.
Looked & looked & looked from all angles. Thought clues should help, but came up empty. We have found camo caches before - hope it hasn't gone missing. Loved the view.
Pulled up to this a little nervous after seeing two dnfs and being at night. The size of this wall also had me sceptical about being able to find first go. But all was well and found relatively quickly. Had to evict the resident snail and reclose container properly. TFTC.
This got the better of us. Great view though. We wanted to leave our travel bug here. Any clues????

Another rock wall!!!
We quite like them actually as they provide a bit of a challenge.
Limited parking so we parked in a nearby driveway.
Sure enough along comes a muggle, who was mustering cattle, just as I was leaving the car.
All good, nice bloke, knew about geocaching!
Took a moment to enjoy the views then it was down to business.
About 5 minutes later the cache was in hand, signed & replaced as found.
Sneaky one!
