No luck here, coords had us over the fence and obvious hiding spot agave has been killed off
Only DNF for the day. We have done No. 1 last. View is amazing but can't get a reading under 9 without jumping the fence. Wind is very strong.
Still couldn’t find it but ouch is all dead and still know where to be seen. Second try but nope.
What amazing scenery!!!!!!!
And the locals are very friendly ️

Our time at Gawler Gateway is drawing to a close again. Peeked at the Geo map and decided to tackle some caches out towards One Tree Hill. Lots were just too far for us to walk today, not so hot but quite humid. Short walks were attempted but no long ones. Then back via a few caches we had somehow missed in the past.
Replaced the mashed up log here. N.B with bisons its easier to roll the logs and place them in the lid before sealing back up.

Yay, finished the series by finding the first one last. Previous comments helped a lot in regards to using other hides in the series to find this one. We looked first, couldn't find so did others in series before returning for a quick find. Tftc

WOO HOO!!! Found it!!
Serenity!! An appropriate name!
Gorgeous views of green pastures, fresh spring flowers & LOTS of sheep in the area!!
Unfortunately the old log was damaged & crammed into the container, so we tidied it up & fitted a fresh page.
With MyEagleEyes, MyLittleSpyEye, NMTR & Watsy3!!

This series is in serious need of fixing, majority of the caches had mushy log books.
Today I headed home from blanchetown, decided to do a few caches around Nuriootpa, then headed further south to meet up with Davidwazza, we cached for a few hours are Gawler before the international geocaching day event.

On International Geocaching Day, it was a day of geocaching centering around Gawler and the associated celebratory event held at lunch. I woke up early to complete the 5 km Parkrun in Gawler, which was a new location for me, and then I met up with gridge98 to drive around the various caches in the vicinity. After a few geocache finds in central Gawler including Clonlea Park, we then completed a few mini power trails such as the serenity series and Meat Trail.
After lunch, I went solo to continue solving multi-caches and collecting some older 2007 caches in Gawler. As it got dark, I drove along the Gawler - One Tree Hill Road to collect the intermittent caches along there, to arrive home just after dark to discover the whole blocks had no power for another few hours. A nice day out and finding in good weather.
Returning to this cache after our earlier search, it was certainly helpful to know the cache type, and found within a few minutes. The logbook was once again mush, and we were unable to sign. I think the whole trail probably needs to be checked on, thanks NorthernDelights.

The only unnatural sound I can hear is someone chopping wood in the distance. Thanks NorthernDelights for the peace.
Disappointing. Spent quite a while looking in all the obvious places and all the not so obvious places. Not only were the coordinates completely way off there was a fantastic hint but you've got to be joking if you think I'm going to be spending my time looking for something so small in a giant prickly patch with not only the horses leering over me but every other car that drives past.
Here is the DOWN LOW on this cache. After previously not being able to find this cache I carried on to the next few in the series which will give you a good idea of what to look for when searching for this cache. Having said that the coordinates are still quite out and the hint really isn't as good as I previously gave it credit for.
Like most of the Serenity series it took awhile to find but got there in the end.TFTC
We are on vacation in Australia and of course we seek some caches.
Thanks for this one!

Nice location, took a while but found it did not log in book due to waterlogged
Out with hevwalker today collecting the cluster of caches along this road.
The coordinates were a bit off, but due to the clue we had a fair idea where it would be.
As we both have done caches like these, we decided to keep our fingers, skin & clothing.

Out & about with clare007 on a Barossa caching adventure...
The coordinates had us in the paddock & looking at previous logs had a pretty good idea of where to look but gave it a miss...

Was about to DNF when kids were stroking horses I spotted it! Paper is waterlogged.
Spent a fair bit of time searching for this one - despite the coords putting us 10 metres into private proprety. Didn't see anything around the obvious location the hint was referring to.
Had to go to Lyndoch today so enjoyed a day caching while out, in total we got 28 caches out of the 30 we went for.
We played with puppys, hand fed a magpie, saw kangaroos, camels, horses, baby lambs.... Did nature and history walks, found caches of all sizes, multis, an earth cache, we even enjoyed scones and coffee with a friend and met 2 other geocachers.
Days like today remind me of why we cache, our country is a beautiful place full of great scenery, history, nature and people. Had an absolutely fantastic day with our 2 youngest children smiling all day.
Thankyou for your cache.

Our last full day in the Barossa so we headed out to grab as many finds as we could. Took all the back country lanes - our type of caching. Extended our search and found the co-ords are out by 11 mts. Thanks NorthernDelights
The last day of our SA caching holiday with richlink dawns and we are off to places a bit farther a field in a quest to grab as many smilies as we can in the time we have left. Thanks for your cache NorthernDelights.
Clue initially tricked us but soon had it in hand. Thanks for this series. We've enjoyed it.
A caching afternoon with Froghoppin and geoson Sebastbat took us to many places.
Ahhhhh the serenity.
Found quicker after we rethought the red herring flavoured clue!

We looked for a while with no success. We knew that the co-ords were out, so we concentrated on the clue, which seems did not help. Will have to return to it some other day. For now we leave a picture of locals that were spotted close to what we believe to be the real GZ.
Catching up on some late, very late and extremely late logs (400 in all)
I would like to thank NorthernDelights for placing this cache. I always enjoy getting out and about to view this great country of ours and caching allows me to do that. Once at GZ, I sometimes find the cache quickly but sometimes it takes awhile to sus out the well camouflaged hide. Once found, log is signed and the cache is rehidden as found.
Once again thanks NorthernDelights.

Heading to Gawler from the Barossa Gold fields we attacked this series in reverse. This was a nice quiet road that is in places very very scenic and this series was a great way to stop and take in more of the views.
This one was the last one in the series for us and for a little while it looked like it might be a DNF as we searched all the likely hides and then even spread out a little bit and then micaparamedic caught a glimpse of something in the sunlight and not long after we were adding our names to the log.
Thanks NorthernDelights for the cache and this many series.

The last one for the series, lol :cP In a backwards fashion. Co-ords seemed a little off, though our device would not seem to settle here. TFTC!!
Mislaid my notes from my day out and about with DiMorgan, please accept this late log

Unfortunately not much to see up here today due to the heavy fog.
Once we found the first one, the rest of these weren't so hard.

When we first searched for this one we couldn't spot it anywhere, resigning it to a DNF we moved on after finding Serenity 2 we thought we might have some idea where to look, sure enough there it was all along, DNF avoided:)
