Thanks for the great location and bouldering experience we have dropped a trackable for the next adventurous geocacher to pickup! Have fun and stay safe.
On a work trip to Perth for the week, I had mapped out some caches I wanted out this way, starting with the virtual, but it included a couple of others and most certainly a nice old cache that are very few and far between. After wandering around doing the labs, I strolled down the path and arrived within a few metres of this one. It was still a little wet from the rain this afternoon, but a very obvious geotrail from the weekends festivities gave me a nice guided path to GZ, where the container was promptly spotted. I extracted the container, removed the log, added my name and tucked everything back as found. Always nice to pick up a old one, particularly interstate. Thanks for keeping it in the game, we all appreciate it.Cheers Lyn Pat and Nathan.
This cache has been smashed this weekend. Thanks to everyone for finding it. That's such an honour to have so many teams follow in our footsteps.
Thank you! Day 3 of the IGD weekend in Toodyay. Finding some final caches in Toodyay before taking a very indirect route home.
Find 4 of 15 on the Sunday morning of IGD, dodging the showers and trying to get to 20 for the day to hit our 13000 milestone. An oldie but goodie. We found Palemap searching and had a good chat before eventually landing on the right rock grouping. TFTC Lyn Pat and Nathan!
Out with Elliejay2024. She put Plato the platypus. The weather is getting a bit wet and a very lazy breeze straight from Antarctica
Out with Jaypre on the IGD24 weekend in Toodjay. Thanks to Lyn Pat and Nathan for hiding this cacheThis will be find number 272 for me Sent Plato the trackable on his wayTFTH
TFTC. Love the view! This is my 1125th find!In the end, I'm feeling more and moreThere won't be any endNo ice walls, no frozen firmament to clearly defineThe corners and lines of our divine inventionSo paper-thin you see right through itBut I bet when you can't find an edgeBy a map half-writtenIt could feel like the end to have to keep goingThe inkwells of prophecy and cartographyDried up long agoThey're hoarse from speaking of our studied hesitationTo shoulder the weight of our bad-b?having'Cause when Atlas shrugs, whose back is breaking? And I know how it feels to th? handsHeavy as the heavensA weight that could fold you to keep holdingWell, you'll stand like you stood as a babeTalking at the house plantsOn your own, honest and trulyYou'll rise like landPulled up at the sound of some strange commandmentA moon of light reflecting fullyAnd I guess it would feel like rebirthOut of some kind of dying to see yourself so glowing
Today is International Geocaching Day and we are up in TOODJAY at the event put on by West Oz Geocaching Committee to mark this special day and weekend . The geocaching plan today for Taurus Six and I was : Firstly, to collect all the puzzle caches just out of town on the Goomalling- TOODJAY Road, we had solved all puzzles earlier the last few with a little help from CO . Secondly, we need to collect a couple of caches from the two LGAs east and north of TOODJAY to qualify for the challenge cache we accomplished this. For Goomalling as part of the GG series then we hit the back roads to Victoria Plains and collected a few in Bolgart; thirdly , we are collecting all the challenges caches also just out of town, especially now that we have the correct LGAs - we had the pleasure of undertaking many of these caches with PP2; fourthly , we are collecting the multi caches that just came out yesterday having solved them last night and this morning here again we had the pleasure of caching with PP2 ; fifthly , we are collecting all the Adventure Labs around town and sixthly; we will collect any other geocaches that we come across for the day. The weather is looking inclement so we best get as many early as possible because it looks like it could be stormy . All in all a fabulous day of geocaching in this glorious part of WA . Thanks to the organisers and all the geocachers who have placed caches especially for this weekend .
Found fairly quickly following the flattened grass trail. With so many people in town geocaching some hunting areas were clear. Great condition cache and no problems with the log. Simone enjoys a regular size cache as trinkets are left behind for the next to find. We left a little jar of crystals rocks and a hiking rope keyring. TFTC Pat and Lyn.
Today is international geocaching day and we are celebrating it in Toodyay with servers events put on by the West OZ Geocaching community. Out caching with team adinache with the plan of finding all the solved caches along the Toodyay Goomaling road. Then back to town for the evening event and a bit of night caching. Nice to find a old one
Took a bit to get this one as my phone was playing up a bit but, yay. TFTC guys ????

On our trip exploring the lower parts of Western Australia, we drove today from Perth to Toodyay! A beautiful town, and this was almost our first stop as we thought we would drive up to the lookout and enjoy the views down. After a short search, we found this one safe and dry and have added our name to the log. Thanks Lyn Pat and Nathan Domsky

After staying in Northam for a NYE wedding I headed out to Toodyay early Ian to clear out some labs. While there I could resist this golden oldie placed by such a Legendary team Made the easy walk down to GZ. Wasnt too keen to get amongst the dry grass but managed to mountain goat my way across the rocks to make the find. Hi Lyn Pat and Nathan, SmplyR3dd has found your cache "Toodyay Today" on 1 Jan 2024 at 08:56.Logs on micro caches may be signed as SR.SmplyR3dd thanks you for placing this cache for me to find. This find brings my find count to 6429.
Good coords but was spooked by a slithery native right by pipeline. A good reminder for me to be alert. Tftc
Nice easy find and it's great to grab another oldie but the container was a bit disappointing, I'd usually CITO that out of here lol. Actually, I think I will. Searched the car for something a bit more permanent and have replaced with a plastic jar and new log book. Photo sent to CO. Tftc
Thanks to Team Tenkae for replacing the container. It does seem like some local kids may be homing in on this one. Thats the price we pay for keeping them available to Basic members. Way back when we first placed it we had used an ammo box. Somewhere in someone's garage is our old container.
All good. Thanks Bella for the replacement cache. We are very thankful that you knew it needed fixing. Cheers
Found the temporary cache that Bella placed and wrote their name with my pen over there impressions as well as my own. Always good to find an old one although would have preferred to find the original. Happy to have my log deleted if the original is in fact still here and confirmed by the CO. Tftc
An old cache I'd often looked at but never quite got there. Today I was somewhat near and headed over. Manage to startle a rabbit at GZ so figured no other surprises. I looked for a bit but no cache and then checked the logs and saw the DNF's so that didn't look good. I was sure I had the right spot and then found some broken plastic container and a pen so figured it had been muggled. A further look found a plastic bottle with a lid so grabbed a piece of paper from the car for a temporary log and put it and the pen in the bottle. The pen gave out but the imprint of name is on the log. Hopefully this will do as a temporary container
We will keep an eye on the cache and see if it gets found again. Being school holidays kids may have taken it.
Following a great overnight in Chittering for the IGD2022 L1.77 and myself headed towards Toodyay for the bakery, grabbing whatever cache were around town. Busy day here today with the great weather. Thanks for the cache!
Up in Chittering for IGD2022. Picked up a host of new caches that keep attempting to spoil my nice clean map. Thanks to all the COs that have placed caches ahead of this event.
Parked at the lookout and followed the concrete footpath down before frog hopping across the rocks. A little snakey on this warm day. Cheers Lyn Pat and Nathan!

Found with Dora the Explorer on a day off from work. Spotted easily enough once at GZ. It is good to see these older caches still up and running. TFTC
Staying in Northam, we drove to Toodyay today for lunch at the bakery and some geocaching. We ended up here as part of an adventure lab, so after I had answered the Ad Lab question, I decided to search for this cache. Fortunately it was found quickly and easily, as it had started to drizzle.
Time to do some more caching together with ilook4geo. No problem in locating the containers we wanted, sign the log in each one before moving on. This was an interesting tour around Toodyay. Thanks for placing this cache go to Lyn Pat and Nathan for placing this cache and for bringing us to this great lookout.
Wandering along today with goingplaces2 meant we found a good variety of cache hides as well as the containers used. It was a fun and productive day with quite a lot more smileys colouring our map. Thank you to each CO who added to our enjoyment today.
What a great location for a cache! Loved being able to look down at Toodyay from up here. Found with Redrobbin25. Tftc
A nice quick find! Lots of rocks to climb! Found with teamlaroche! Thanks for the cache
Day 2 of WAGB22 week, and went to finish the GG Series in Northam and cleaned up the town of Northam, then cached to Toodyay and made a huge dent in that town.
Made 51 finds in total with 1 DNF today.
Thanks to all the CO’s for placing maintaining their hides.

Destination Minnivale and what has become a tradition of sorts... BYO Marshmallows number V. Some fun with friends around a camp fire sharing some drinks, some hint, some tall stories and plenty of laughs.
Off to an early start from Perth with Kyzabra, Granett and I meeting at Mundaring to form our convoy.
The plan today is to make our way to our camp grounds for the next two nights arriving in mid afternoon, all the while picking up caches along the way, this being one of them.
In for the 100 oldest caches in WA challenge. Thanks for placing this way back in 2002

Arranged an extra leave pass day from the boss to be able to head out to the Marshmallow event in Minnivale for a couple of nights.
Teamed up SirFancy for the drive and slowly made our way out stoping for caches along the way.
There were a couple of target caches we were chasing in Ellenbrook and Dowerin.
We got to the campsite at 3:30, set up the tents and joined fellowship for the evening.
A great start to the weekend with 12 finds and 11 Labs.

Geology rocks but Geography is where it’s at!
We came out here to today on a special trip just to replace the container. The log book was a bit damp but we decided it will dry out during the next few weeks at we left that in the cache with the zip lock bag open to give it a better chance.
While here we dropped the 6 trackable items we had from the Kulin canning weekend.
We also updated the coordinates as they seemed a bit off.
You are long for a big rock outcrop and the cache is to the right when looking uphill.
The best path to the cache is the one to the far right. It leads to a chair from the chair it is only 15 to 20m. Beware of snakes.

Nice spot to see the stunning hills of Toodyay. Container no longer sealed and is leaving plastic chips everywhere Tried to give the logbook a sunbathe and wiped the bag it was in.
Bit of a clamber. Cache is broken and logbook wet but it is in a relatively protected position so not too bad.
Container is a little worse for wear and the log is quite wet. We found a dry spot to sign it and placed in a plastic bag. Thanks for maintaining this oldie and bringing us to she such an awesome view. Found whilst on a caching day with I C Nothing and Meme28. Some logs signed as MIK.
Happy to tick this one-off my list!
Out with Kapelula and ICNothing after the Cito this morning in greenmount. It was hard going in the long weeds with the rocky outcrop but K located this one. Replaced the bag but no spare container. Tipped out the water to help.

Caching day with the gang - Kapelula, Meme28 and the geokids. Started with a cito and then moved on to caches we needed. All finds were found in good condition. Signed as MIK
I wasn’t planning on coming to Toodyay today but the allure of a certain multi got me here. After smashing a pie at the bakery, I started finding a few caches around town.
Quick one here after nice granite view walk. Container is deteriorating.

I admired the view and used the handy ablution block before heading downhill to log this find. Thanks for the hide.
On a road trip up to the Mid West. Today, we decided to spend an extra day in the area, picking up some of the Julimar caches and a few others through to Toodyay. We enjoyed the variety of caches as well as variety of placements. Thanks Lyn Pat and Nathan for placing this cache for our enjoyment. Beautiful views and a very pleasant walk to the cache location.
Find #3957 for us today.

Great views. Getting some star photography in. Quick geocache. Nice hide. Very peaceful. TFTC
Staying in Northam after a weekend of camping at Elabutting and Kwolyin. Collecting some smileys before heading home. Armed with Megam01 who is much more nimble and capable of acrobatic moves - youth on her side. Thanks to all the COs for placing the caches for us to enjoy.
Thetopman with julie on a quick visit to Toodyay decided we had time to visit this cache Could not log visit as pen would not write and we didn't have one with us Took pic of cache as evidence of our find and will add it if I can work out how TNLN TFTF
Out and about in the Central Wheatbelt area this weekend on a mission to grab some missing LGA's. After 1200 odd K's, 43 finds, a few DNF's and two nights under the stars, it was mission accomplished.
Had earmarked a detour through Toodyay to pick up this golden oldie. A bit treacherous clambering around the rocks in thongs but got there in the end without too much damage.
Lyn Pat and Nathan I found your cache at 12:29pm, this was the 6th of 7 finds for me today and brings my total find count to 5902. The cache was in good order and I replaced it as found.

DNF today. The hints say around rocks but the whole place is rocks hahaha. The location seems to be very off which confused us a little.
Woke up this morning and told the geowife we should go for a drive, off to Toodyay we said. Stunning day with so much fun and a delicious bakery. To make it a great day we found a stunning view and cache to cap it all off. Tftc

We just had to come here and reverse our DNF from Nov 2017, so we went for an early walk hoping Joe Blake was still asleep. No snakes sighted, found the cache. and now have a smiley . Thanks for this cache and maintaining it, LPN!
