Couldn't find!! May have been washed away in recent flooding. Beautiful spot anyway. Thanks from 4562 Eumundi
I reckon this is washed away had a dig through the flood debris but nothing there
After visiting some friends we had a stab at this one, but to no avail. There is quite some evidence of water through here with debris higher than the road level. Won't put it as needs maintenance, but maybe the CO could confirm it's still there?
Cheers.
Cheers.
Out for an adventure today to find old mate CrookedPete his 2000th Cache. Joining us was Seffnjarah who also liked the look of the Mother Bones series! We also decided to grab a few extras along the way to make sure the numbers lined up!
We needed this one for the numbers to align on CP's stats sheet. We parked nice and close and wandered over for the find. We left it slightly better covered than when we found it, as it was visible from the other side of the drain.
Certainly a cute little spot for a cache thanks SpankySpanglePants! Well played.

Plans for a milestone 2000 assault on Egg Rock were thrown out the window when a couple of inches of rain fell at Binna Burra during the week. My caching companions, Fungus and Seff soon suggested the Bones series culminating in the mother of nasty hill climbs to collect Mother Bones. Perfect!
Circumstances during the week, and particularly a very long Friday lunch, meant my preparation was far from ideal. A caĺl went out for help -"Fungus!!" - and everything was instantly fixed.
With my trusty Fungus app and his Seff assistant App packed to overcome any possible logistical and navigational difficulties, the entire adventure ran with military precision. Thanks for getting me to the milestone, boys.
This cache was my last cache in the one thousands - a shady creek crossing on a quiet country laneway. It was almost magical - I think Fungus even heard some fairies. Personally, my stomach had butterflies at the thought of the nasty hill with some old bones on it that was about to slap me back into my place.
Thanks for the cache, Spanky Spanglepants. Great caching handle, by the way. Would love an invite to one. of your parties.

This was the last cache required by one of my caching compatriots before his assault on a nearby mountain to attain a milestone cache find. Driving in to this one gave us a chance to admire/fear the challenge that lay ahead. But first we had to find this one. Thankfully the caching gods were on our side, lulling us in to a false sense of security for what we soon faced, and this was a quick find which we spotted from some distance away. After signing the log we hid it with more cover. Tftc
After climbing nearby Mt Eerwah with Stacevel, ZoolandR, MinkosDes and NeverLostAu we stopped by for a find. I loved how the cows just stood there watching what we were doing. ~ TFTC SpankySpanglepants
After the fun on the mountain we decided to find some grub! But first there was just one more cache in the area to turn into a smiley. I was happy to make another find with the great company of MinkosDes, spinna76, and Stacevel (ZoolandR had already seen this one).
This one is looking a bit shabby but still here to be found. Beautiful location, thanks SpankySpanglepants.

After find the nearby caches on Mount Eerwah the group thought that it would be rude for us to just leave this cache behind and unfound.
So 'spinna76', 'Stacevel', 'NeverLostAu' went in for a find on this cache as 'ZoolandR' had paid her respects on a previous visit. Whilst being stared down by curtain cows in the field we found this cache and signed the log.
I do have to make note here that there was quite an impressive leap of faith performed by 'spinna76'.
There was a tick spotted by 'Stacevel' on the shirt of 'spinna76' when returning to the car. But in this type of area, with all the cattle, it does not surprise me.
Thanks for the cache 'SpankySpanglepants'. It does appear this cache has seen better days and also a little water at some stage.

Yeah.. Second time lucky!! And at night time with torches. With Neilio1970.
2nd time around and with my Garmin 12 and at night with a torch we found this one. Thanks
After making friends with the local livestock it didn't take Net88 and myself long to find the cache. While Net was busy taking selfies with Mr Ed, I went about the ritual signing of the log. We then replaced the cache as we had found it.
Thanks for the cache SpankySpanglepants

Nyssaflutterby and I were spending a few hours up north grabbing a few caches. This was to be the last cache for the day as she had to head back and pick up the munchkins. Nyssa parked spangle in a convenient location and we headed off towards GZ. I got sidetracked by watching some cows and horses and Nyssa was left to find the cache... whoops, sorry Nys!
She found it with ease and received a few phone so I had more time to watch the livestock. We signed our names in the logbook and the cache was replaced as found. A friendly horse came over to the gate and we had a few pats and cuddles before heading back to the car. Thanks for the cache SpankySpanglepants.

Seems to have gone walking.. Found a party popper.. But no cache.,.. Didn't want to go in private property.. With Neilio.
Think it has been stolen or removed. Some items were spread along the roadway. I will try to post a pic.
This is where I need my own system. I have a GPS only, so I need to be more organised
Cache was exposed. Easily found. Nice notebook! TFTC

Had a day in the West Cooroy State Forest with PapaSmurf12 in the smurfmobile. I thought it was going to be an easy day like doing the Evil Forest, but it turned out to be a bit harder than I thought. We started at a rendezvous cache at 6:30am and we finished at 7:00pm at an archive.
This was just before we hit the forest. It annoyed me we didn't get time for this one when we climbed the nearby mountain, but we rectified that on this day.
Thanks for the cache, SpankySpanglepants.

Got this cache on a run to Cooroy State Forest with dahumbug today. Found this one rather easily with GZ spot on. A quick stop and sign the log and of to the forest. TFTC
On my way to Brisbane International Airport to pick up my wifetomorrow morning, returning from NZ, staying at my brother's place at Caboolture, gives me an easy start for tomorrow.
#476 Some of these had been on my todo list for a couple of years, good to have 's on the map now.
An easy find this time in the end, cache & contents OK.
I think this is my [^] first find of your caches, please plant a few more, as there isn't many new caches around the Gympie region.
The container could do with an anchor on it, come the summer floods.

Nice and quiet as I parked nearby and walked to GZ. A quick find and I enjoyed reading the note. Well done on your first hide and I agree, it certainly does feel like magic down there. The sound of the water running and a slight breeze rustling the trees was very pleasant.

A new cache? Well best we go and investigate that. Heading sort of homewards with Fangsoki and Pprime we decided to make the detour to this cache.
As we got close there were some works going on that Fang didn't want the shiny new car to see, so we were parked next to the fancy front fence up the road slightly and walked the rest of the way. It was mostly dark by now and a weekend of course so no worker muggles to get up in our business.
We did what our GPSr's told us and we were soon on the hunt. After a short while though, no luck. I checked my unit, it had changed it's mind. So I headed over 'there' and began looking. It still took a while in the 90% darkness but the cache was eventually spotted.
We cracked it open and had a look at the contents, good quality swaps a dry logbook (ooh, scenty - not something you see every day) and of course the fun note inside which was read. Combined with this quaint and magical area it sure was a great cache. We signed the log, packed it all away and rehid as found. Good stuff. TFTC SpankySpanglepants

With a day out on the trails with Fangsoki and Captain Terror searching for really really really old caches ... and whatever else popped up on the tomtom as we drove past. Like this one. A new one hey? Well it'd be rude not stop and say G'day. We walked down the hill and as GPSrs settled on one spot we started the hunt in what I would call an unlikely location. Until Captain Terror advised that his GPSr had now settled somewhere else. Oh, so had ours now. Odd that. OK, over to new GZ and tada, a cache was located. And a much more likely location too. Checked and rechecked co-ords, and they stayed correct, so not sure why the almighty Navstar misled us - a belated April fools perhaps?
Cache opened up and the musky aroma was briefly savoured (well, three blokes, what do you expect?) and as log inscribing occurred we took a read of the letter. Love and care has been taken on this hide, much appreciated. A great first hide, may there be much more enjoyment for all concerned.
Thanks for placing this cache, SpankySpanglepants. Found in good condition.

Easter weekend 3rd-6th April 2015 in Stanthorpe, QLD.
Pprime, Captain Terror, and I were in the area doing some caches - and decided to drop in on this one.
I was a little wary about taking Mr Ford down the road toward GZ - it looked a little "average" with some works going on at the moment. I am a bit over-protective of the 1 month-old car
We hoofed down and arrived at GZ to start the hunt. Weirdly, all our GPSr's indicated the same area but yielded nothing. Hmmm. Captain Terror found another GZ and I suggested an area to him - that thankfully had the cache in it My GPSr suddenly agreed this where GZ should be. Bizarre.
A lot of cache finds can end up being the same thing - a few nick-nacks, a logbook, and a stash note. This cache had a wonderful little note that actually put a smile on my face. For your trouble of placing your first cache, and writing a simple little note that gave me a smile, have a favourite point
Well done on your first geocache Thankfully, it is safe from the roadworks going on nearby. A very nice little area. TFTC SpankySpanglepants (love that name!)

Yippee! [email protected] I actually arrived here at 2.30pm. Oh! No. Roadworks right at GZ. I'll go look at other things like the entrance to Mother Bones on Eerwah other caches in the area to do with geopartner on the weekend and come back.
Arrived back at 5pm. Oh! goody they have gone for the day. Parked nearby and made my way to GZ.
Soon I was at GZ and had the cache in my hand.
Opened up the log book and read the nice little letter and discovered a blank page which I love to find and the paper smells nicely scented.
Admired the little beanie that some little girl is going to love and the other things in the container which I left for others.
Yes this is a magic place with the little creek babbling nearby and the bush turkey wandering around checking out the roadworks and I stopped to listen to the ambience of the place while signing the log.
Wandered back to my car and a neighbour passed and asked if I was bushwalking and I said yes as well as doing this which I kept to myself with a smile.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks SpankySpanglepants A great first cache and All good with this cache and I look forward to your next one
