Attempted on a quiet muggle-less Saturday morning, so I was optimistic, but after feeling around, according to the hint, there was nothing there. One of the local wanderers, Gareth, seemed joyous, and blissfully unaware of the activity.
Visiting Christchurch for the first time and thought this would be a good way to explore the city. Only my second find so did take a little bit longer.
We were wombling around the centre checking out the new library as well as the sad cathedral with a family member. Not a caching trip but this was a good one to look for as a memory. No problems with the find before we headed to the Art Gallery for coffee.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Back in Christchurch on the Great Southern Steam Rail Tour, Had time after Breakfast for a walk so grabbed this Geocache on this chilly morning, before we headed off to Kaikoura on our Vintage Train. very few muggles around this morning at this time made an easy find, TFTC
Great description - find without muggles noticing even though there seems to be a watering hole near by (lunch break and plenty food trucks = dangerous combination). Just stayed seated for a while and enjoyed my noodle box. TFTC
Out to Christchurch for a holiday from New Plymouth. Nice quick and easy find. Fourth find today. #217. TFTC.
Easy to find when you follow the directions on the hint. Plus u just pretend your sitting down and slide your hand down. Tftc
Today is the last of four dot days in a row, the last remaining dot days on my “geocaching calendar”. Level 4 lockdown at this time last year prevented me from caching on those days. So as of now, I have geocached on 366 days of the year! Congratulations to myself!
I’m currently in Christchurch for four days so, this being my oldest hometown, it’s kind of appropriate I completed my ‘mission’ here.
I headed into town earlyish on a Sunday morning when there were very few people about. I vaguely recall looking for a cache in this area some time ago, but without success. With the assistance of the hint I found it reasonably quickly today. #3875. TFTC.

Very VERY mixed day today. DNFs with a couple of finds to keep me going. Then my pen stopped working. Why not? Here s pic of the find to prove it. With a ladybird to oversee. Cheers
I write "WRITE NOTE" because it's a time when we can't go on a long adventure, so I travel in the memories of my visits. That's why I'm only stretching the Travel Bug from the adventures in New Zealand. Writing "Found it" is no longer correct, but it wasn't today.
I am sending a beautiful greeting from the Czech Republic.

Found it while I was showing my sister & her partner rebuild progress. Very cool. Alas my pen wouldn't work. My attempted log is #20. TFTC
Yay! Out with KittyCat2006 and decided to drop past here while it was quiet...finally had success having previously tried and failed (did have to use the hint but I'm just glad to turn a dnf around)

I was absolutely useless at this one. Checked exactly where the hint said and everything else, clearly not thoroughly enough. Said to give up as I wanted to go shopping, then the muggle decided to kick it with his shoe and out it popped. Haha what an embarrassment. Tftc
Find #220. Immediate find with Aros71. We were admiring, if that's the right word to use, the crumbling cathedral and scattered assortment of rambling crazies in Cathedral Square when we both had the same thought at once - "bet we're within 5 metres of a geocache!" And we were. Cache in VGC, TFTC.
Food stalls setting up and local hooligans couldn't dissuade me from this goal. Quick find and slow return. Tftc!
Nice quick find with kapitibundy. Great location. Loved the mural of the kowhai and the wax eye. TFTC.
10 years ago I could never have imagined doing a cache in the square could be so easy, oh how times have changed.

Easy find on a visit to Christchurch. Still daylight, but quiet on a Sunday evening so took my chance. Thanks for the cache!
In Christchurch to surprise my close friend for her 80th birthday. We spent some time looking around inner Christchurch and of course we looked in this area too. Things are so different here, but it is nice to see progress happening. TFTC
In Christchurch for the long weekend and squeezing in a few caches whilst we can. This was an easy find thanks to the hint. TFTC
Found with val easy find and good to make the dnf right for this cache ( forgot to log dnf)
Cache was missing. Replaced. A temporary log is in place until I get a more suitable one. Good to go again.
Tried this yesterday but there was some sort of rally going on nearby. Back this morning but failed to find it
I don’t think it’s there, been before with family and found with sister but used her phone. Not there
Work has sent me from Palmerston (North) to Christchurch for a couple of days.
Even though the trip started with a stupid o'clock flight, this is my first time to the mainland since I started geocaching and there is no way I was going to turn down an all-expenses-paid trip to improve my PGC stats! (Finding a cache on both major islands on the same day)
The trip is coming to an end, with the staff coming into the new building tomorrow morning.
Some of the move team are leaving tomorrow night, and the rest of us flying home the following day.
Because of this, we went out for dinner together tonight, but we're a bit early still.
One of my colleagues wanted to see the 'crumbled cathedral', and knowing that there was sure to be a cache nearby, I readily agreed to join in the eScooter ride before meeting at the restaurant.
The compass on my personal and work phones were both a bit off, but like a good geocacher I used my geonose once I was close. I searched a few locations before finding the sneaky little one.
Thanks for placing this here, and for all the other work you do for the geocaching community

Day 3 of our Sth Island (substitute for Seattle) trip. First time in Christchurch since January 2012. Lots of changes since then. Very few people in the square at this time so it was a straightforward find. Thanks.

We made sure to also have a good look facing East.
Hopefully the restauration can start soon.

Stuck in Christchurch during Covid-19 lockdown. This was our 7th day in Christchurch - a really nice town, but a little boring during the lockdown. Thanks for the cache and greetings from Sweden.
There are plenty of space left in the logbook.
