Would have loved to have attended this one, but was not in town. Sounds like it was a blast.
Attended this with my Dad fitzy_1965 and sis Stardust2410. Finally catching up with my logs. Had fun playing with the other kids and eating all the yummy food. See you next year !

The kids were very happy when they heard that the Trivia Event was on again - not sure why - all they did was run around and eat hotdogs !! Another fun event which we unfortunately had to leave early - oh well next year ! 25 out of 31 tick !!
Thanks Sol de Lune !!

The Spring Time Trivia Time event is a great event and we appriciate all the hard work that goes into creating the brain teasing questions that are just off the tip of your tongue. Thanks Sol de Lune and Zazaza7 and to all the people that brought yummy food and drink. We didn't learn anything from last year and once again we showed up unprepared, we hadn't even looked at the website. Not having done any research before the event we were suprised that to find out we didn't do too badly, maybe we had a few lucky guesses After the trivia it was nice to talk and share stories, we even managed to swap a couple of PT's and drop off a TB (Junk yard dog). All in all a very lovely morning with great weather to top it off.
Whoops...
I did it again, forgot to log!
Was a great time socializing with so many new faces - and those I hadn't seen a while!
Thanks Sol and ZZ7!

Having arrived home in time to get to this event I decided to get up and come over to the southside to take part. I know I missed lots of answers, including one that made a few people laugh. I know I had a great time, I hope everyone else did too. It was great meet lots of people, I hope to see people around the traps. Thanks.

2013: 237 Days In A Row - A great event, and a great morning out. Thanks for organising the event and we really enjoyed the trivia (even if we didn't go so well) Next year we'll have to study a bit. It was nice catching up with everyone, and bring on the Canberra Mega Event!
Thank you so much Sol de lune and Zsazsa7 for a really fun event! It was nice to chat and hang out with you both too.
I'm not actually sure what Amethyst Pig and I ended up scoring in the trivia in the end! We enjoyed the process though!
I did notice that you brought your own chair Agent Basil, I worked out who you were as I heard you make a passing reference to your special introvert event (which I didn't find out about it time, doh). I was a little to introverted to say hi
It was cool to meet Winterdragon and trade pathtags with a fellow dragon, oooh those dragon pathtags designs of yours - beautiful, I've been admiring them.
Good to see my buds STORMCATCHERS chilling there, having a chat to the Mega organisers (sounds fun) and I hope I continue to meet a whole lot of cachers to hang out/cache/puzzle with and swap stories. I am able to recognise more and more faces!!
Speaking of recognition, last year I was promised I would feature in the quiz, what does one need to do to be a recognised prolific enough cacher!! Next year eh Sol
It was so good to relax and chat into the afternoon with the group who stuck around. As we were leaving there was a geocaching alert that Tankengine had replaced a certain cache requiring a boat which gave Boot_65, the_Proton and I some laughs.
Got to feel like a winner by taking a leftover mudcake "prize" from "mornos" to a friends house to share.
PS Noiky is the worst at clues.

We were a bit late starting but the quiz was only a few questions in so managed to catch up, not that it helped our score at all!! This event was huge fun and so well organised - kudos to ZZ7 and Sol for managing to keep everyone to time. Liked how the questions were a good mix and levelled the playing field for oldies and newbies. Congratulations to the 4-1st place winners and hugs to seconds and thirds who missed out on prizes because of the tie. Thanks for a great event and it was nice to catch up with old friends and new ones whom we met today
Another fantastic event by Sol de lune and Zsazsa7.
The weather was perfect, with Spring being ready to show up early to visit these cachers. The trivia had us trying to remember some obscure facts, and some we probably should have checked out before leaving home. With an OK memory of the front page I had a couple in the bag, but the four winners were very deserving, great work all.
Then it was time for a wonderous morning tea spread, something for everyone, and then a little more. And then it was time to talk, and talk and chat, and talk and enjoy the morning, and the early afternoon not heading off until 2:30pm.
Thanks for the event again Sol de lune and Zsazsa7, looking forward to next year already!

Thanks for a fantastic time. First event attended. Learnt a few new things and had a chance to put faces to names both real and caching names.

Thanks to everyone who made this day so great! Congratulations to our 6 winners in the trivia. Great to see you all and swap war stories and quite a few funnies too!
If anyone took photos would you mind posting?
Additionally I have in my possession one child’s batman outfit and the pink plastic bowl that had the sugar almonds in it. Contact me for pick up.
Thanks Sol, great day for it too. The complete package.

We enjoyed a great 3 days in Canberra caching all around and finding a new area not been to before at the Googong Dam region.
We arrived at the Trivia Event at 9.20 am Sunday and added a chocolate cake to the table that was already boasting some exciting treats. It was great to catch up with many of our friends and teams we had known since starting in 2005 and also meet some of the newer teams .The name tags made it much easier for all to identify teams with and a top idea.
We enjoyed the trivia questions as they covered many areas which gave all teams a very fair chance to succeed. We also swapped a few pathtags , enjoyed many good stories told here and there, got some nice group pictures and watched as a 4 way tie for first position evolved for the trivia prizes.
Not sure how many the final numbers were but looked like about 70 people from kids to adults , who all had a good time in the 17 degree conditions.
Many thanks to Sol de Lune and Zsazsa7 for a top location for the event which we had to ourselves and a well organised trivia set of questions. Enjoy your holiday Warren . Also enjoy all the cakes that were left at the end.
Many thanks once again to the organisers and all the teams who made it an enjoyable time with many laughs.

Wow......wasn't the weather just fantastic.......
Very very happy with how the event went. Everybody seemed to have a good time, even if their trivia scores didn't result in winning a prize. Good to see everyone mingling and I hope you managed to put faces to the names you see in logbooks. Congrats to the 1st prize winners......Winglen, Tankengine, mcktcj and (last years winners) Toy Hunters...
Running around with ZZ7 making sure things went ok, I know I cut a few people short when talking to them (apologies for that) and it wasn't until after things were finish that I sat down and spoke to others for more than 5 minutes. And we certainly made up for it as the last of us didn't leave til 2.30pm.
Thanks to all who attended, and thanks for the great food. There was a little left when we finally packed up, but it wasn't too bad. Also, a big thanks to ZZ7 for the assistance once again.
I hope this will become an annual event.....so til next year........enjoy your caching.
Cheers,
SdL

What a beautiful day for a trivia event and meeting if some cachers. Nice turn out today and for someone who has only been caching for a year I didn't do too bad on the trivia. Thanks for hosting this event I had a good day. Now it's time to go grab some caches to round off the day on a high note
Wow thanks for arranging such a great day! Really enjoyed putting names to faces and realising how many cachers we actually already knew through other activities. Trivia was great fun, although we will need to brush up for next time lol. We are amazed at the number of GC and TBs we saw. Thanks to Winterdragon and Winglen for making my daughters day by adding to her path tag collection
Great weather, great company and geocaching what more could we want!!
Great weather, great company and geocaching what more could we want!!
What another fantastic trivia event that was organised very well. Enjoyed wandering around the event site having interesting conversations with different cachers from different parts of Australia. Got the codes to the moveables, trackables and pathtags then the trivia started. Luckily the trivia questions were very similar to last year. After a bit of morning tea and some mingling, the answers and results were revealed and luckily I managed to get =1st for which we were one of four that got that place. Very nice to have that placement once again. A fantastic event that was run very well. TFTE SDL and ZZ7, hopefully we will see you again this time next year!
What a spectacular morning of sunshine and warmth, and a pretty impressive display of goodies for morning tea too. Seems like a quite a while since the last ACT event, and it was as always good to catch up with friends and especially to meet some new cachers. A few discussions of puzzles, some swapping of path tags, and coffee and brownie. What more could one want? A prize to take home surprised us no end.
A very well executed and enjoyable event, Sol de Lune and Zsazsa7. Thanks heaps for organising.

This is my part of my August find could #25 and couldn't have picked a nicer day, a whole bunch of new faces and names I have heard but not met, good to meet them, Sadily I didn't do so well in the Quiz but on the plus side a very good turn out and plenty of nice food to nibble on..
thanks SDL and ZZ7 for the event well done

Attended with DogBoyOz. A great time again. No prizes for me this time though as I had no idea about the GC web page? Who goes there
Day 237; cache 237. What a lovely day for this event. Great turn out and some yummy food with a trivia to keep things interesting. I had a great time meeting cachers though my geobub kept me busy. To everyone who organise this event, thank you!!!!!!!!!!! TFTC !
I had fun coming here with mum and dad. Lots of nice food, people and some great trees to climb, TFTC!
Came with mum, dad, trex05 and my baby brother. I like seeing all the geocachers and having nice food to eat. I had fun climbing trees and even made a new friend.TFTC!
A great event, with a good turnout, and I managed to put faces to a few more names. Great to meet you all! I should have taken more notice of the example questions on the listing, as two of them were actually used. Sadly, my pathtag collection has also grown as a result of some swapping that may have occurred.
Thanks to Sol de lune & Zsazsa7!
Thanks to Sol de lune & Zsazsa7!
A perfect day for a gathering of geocachers. Thanks for your efforts in putting it together
Many thanks SdL and ZZ7 for organising such a fun event. Being a newbie to caching I enjoyed meeting the names behind the monikers and joining in the fun. Like many others, I didn't have lunch, so thanks to everybody who brought such yummy food. Sam
I hope everyone noted that I did bring my own chair so I could sit in the Introverts section. Lots of tantalising goodies and I'm not just talking about McPhan's 10'oclock shadow (or his canoe on the roof - bragger). Special mention must be made of those brownies. Well done SDL and ZZ7 on a well organised event, had to leave early for another event but I don't think I did well on the trivia side of things. And what a beaut change in the weather though I did note the localised hot air cell !
Was only at the event for a short while with the geo-daughter but still had a good time chatting with a few others. Seemed to be quite a good turnout. Yet again another great trivia event (even though I only heard the first 5 questions). Thanks for organising Sol de lune and zsazsa7.
What a great morning! Thanks Sol de lune and ZZ7 for organising another fun event! Was wonderful to catch up with some familiar faced cachers I've met along the way and meeting some new ones, while munching on some yummy food. Really enjoyed the trivia this time and was VERY surprised to receive a shared 1st place with 3 others after failing dismally last year. Thank you to everyone involved in that! Enjoy your USA/Canada trip SDL!
7201. [green]Can't believe that ZZ7 had the answers to the quiz open on his PC and I didn't notice. I am waaaaay too honest anyway (where's the crossed fingers emoticon?). Great [s]turnip[/s] turn up and I can't believe the weather you turned on for today. Another exemplary event organised and run Sol and ZZ7. [/green]
[blue]Thanks for the cache Sol de lune and the munchies. [/blue]

A great event all round, even if I didn't win a prize. Still came 3rd though so nothing to argue about here. It was nice to have a chat with people. I've been to a few events now and there are a lot more people at events than even last year! Talked about puzzles, had a few nibbles and answered some questions. A great time all round. TFTE Sol de Lune and Zsazsa7!
#807 - 09:30; Thought I'd get there a bit before the official start only to find there were a few more than just the organisers there already. I thought that said something for the event and I was right. Well organised and very well attended. Was pretty chuffed at getting a share of third in the triuvia, but also a spot embarrassed that one of the incomplete answers was getting specimenX's caching name as she was sitting beside me while we did the quiz!!!! Thanks SdL and ZZ7 for a great event and looking forward to next year already
What a great idea to meet, chat and have some fun with fellow cachers. Looking forward to future events.
Thank you Zsa Zsa and Sol de Lune for a great event. It was lovely to meet you both face-to-face. As a new cacher it was good to put some names to faces, although was a little shy introducing myself. Nice to see Gecko1968 who explained what geocaching was about three months back on training course we both attended. Looking forward to the Mega BBQ in December too. Extra brownie points for Amethyst Pig on the nacho nibbles.
What a fantastic event! It was great to finally meet the cachers behind the names in the logs, and eat some of the goodies brought along for mornos Did my best with the trivia-no prizes for me but that didn't matter-I enjoyed the mingling and the chatting! Looking forward to catching up with a few cachers out and about and also to future events! Thanks Sol and ZZ7 for a very well organised and enjoyable day-well done!

Well, we did show up late. Much later than we expected. After a rough night sleepwise, we were about to leave when we got locked out of the house, and had to call the landlord.
So, we made it there just in time to hear the trivia competition winners announced.
Still counts as attending, right?
Thanks to Sol De Lune and Zsa Zsa 7 for organising

Yay!!!
Was a tiny bit jetlagged, but still managed to roll out of bed for this one (I wish I knew what my excuse for missing last year's was)
More frogs, more moveables to discover, more people to talk to, more food to eat..don't know what more you could ask for! I even peeked at the list, and apparently I didn't go that bad at all!!
Thanks for another wonderful event!

Wow - Spring really was here! Amazing... That, plus the organisers, and the theme was sure to equate to a quality event - and it certainly was! Met some new cachers, caught up with plenty of old ones, and even managed to be one of the 4 equal winners in the trivia quiz! Thanks for the prize caches - one is deployed already
Thanks for organising Sol de lune and ZZ7! And also thanks to all that provided nibblies - yummy! Excellent event.

Great weather, great company and another great event. Improved on our trivia score from last year, when we came second last. This year, equal fourth last. Based on that trend we should be taking home a prize by about 2030 give or take a few.
It was also great to meet some new cachers and interstate visitors.
Thanks to Sol and ZZ7 for organising again.

Damn - I missed this event. I know you had great weather because I was enjoying it while at a scout activity. Looks like all that attended had a great day. Hopefully I will be able to attend the next event. Congratulations to SDL and ZZ7 for what appears to be a very successful and enjoyable event.
My first geocaching event. Thoroughly enjoyed myself although I was really bad at the trivia.
But I did learn something.[^][^][^][^]
Thanks Sol de lune
But I did learn something.[^][^][^][^]
Thanks Sol de lune
I couldn't make it, but I drove past at about 10.40 am, honked the horn, and it looked like it was a great turn out! Cracking morning for it too.
What a great event! I arrived just as the registration for the trivia was closing, so I settled with hijacking ShinyDragon's quiz instead (I did warn you that I knew nothing about anything!) and then enjoying the fabulous spread that was laid on. It was great to catch up with old faces and meet with new ones, and with WinterDragon's pathtag collection to pick through I was well entertained for the morning.
Finding out about the Canberra/Queanbeyan Mega event also peaked my interest - Queanberra or Canbeyan perhaps? (though I'm now confused about the year - the tag in the picture on Facebook shows 2015 but the text says 2016 - and both years were mentioned at today's event. A two year event? Now THAT's Mega!). That gives me a year or so to absolutely flood Queanbeyan with caches to keep the interstate visitors entertained! .
Thanks for another well-planned and executed event Sol & Zsazsa7 - maybe by next year I'll have absorbed enough local caching knowledge to stand a chance!

Thank you Sol de lune & Zsazsa7 for organising such a fun event. The trivia quiz was fun, but it is as well the losers' scores were not given, or I fear I would have been one of them. It was a great location, with a cache even, for those who had not done it. There was lots a good food and thank you to all those who went to such effort. This was my second event and I will have to attend more.
After this I went off for an afternoon of caching.
After this I went off for an afternoon of caching.
Another great trivia event - as usual I had no chance of winning anything, but the social side was more important than the competition. Thanks to SDL and ZZ7 for organising, and for everyone for bring such a great spread of food along to share. I still feel quite full - too much sugar! Perhaps the highlight was Albida33 missing his own name on the quiz!! (Well it cracked me up anyway). TFTE - and resultant souvenir too for #25!
Arrived late so that I could strategically not look foolish due to my lack of knowledge of most things GC related. And the home page.... don't even go there! Ooops. Might actually see if I can arrive on time next year - providing I have had time to undertake some study.
lots of fun and nice to finally meet other geocachers in this area. Thanks to Mtbikeroz for having someone to talk to and not feeling completely by myself, ahah. Met some other nice people through him. Also told Shoobees about her name and Chemistry series appearing in the trivia questions and she's quite honored
With the calendar checked out we'll be there. Now to work out if I have the ingredients for something delicious to bring...
Oh, yeah - food... I'll throw together a batch of mini cinnamon doughnut muffins and some nacho-style nibbles (refried bean, salsa and guacamole in corn tortilla shells). Hopefully.
Late reply sorry but myself, wasptor, Trex 05 and hot wheels 07 will all be there can't wait
Thank you very much Sol de lune for organising this event. Team Maroon had a great morning meeting other geocachers. Thanks to the success of this event, we are now planning on how we can get to the next Oz Mega Event! Have a great weekend (what's left of it). Daryn, Carlyn and the kids
Thanks Sol de lune for a great morning. We really enjoyed our first caching event and getting to meet other cachers.
Would love to have attended this one but alas I have plans for Sunday already... if said plans fall through, I'll be there, but that's a really outside chance. Sol, looks like a good event: this is exactly the sort of event that appeals to me. Ahh; next time. Good weather to you, and good caching. Thanks for organising it, Sol.
A change of plans, may be! No, the proverbial hasnt hit the fan (see my "Write note") but if things go to the new plan, I will be there. I can not promise though, as I am still dealing with children and animals. Hope to see you all there.
Arrgh, second one in a row now where I have a conflicting appointment and cant make it
Apologies for the late notice, but I plan to attend, all being well. It looks like the weather will be improving for us too. 'Twill be good to catch up having kept a low profile recently. And I even have a new version of my pathtag to share.
Planning to attend to meet some cachers in person and put some trivia to trial...... ut oh, don't judge me lol
Based on previous Trivia Time events, this should be a lot of fun - planning to be there.
Tiramisu pancakes will be accompanied by McPhan all things being equal. (Which we all know they are not but we'll chance the arm on this one)
Social commitments now clarified CW and I hope to arrive late for the announcements. Good luck to all!
Just an update.....
Well, the weather is looking good for Sunday....could still be a bit cool maybe, but with the temp forecast of 4-16 with no rain, all should be good.
I've heard some people are a bit worry about attending as they have to participate in the trivia. Fear not though.....as it is certainly not compulsory to be a part of the trivia itself. You will hopefully learn more about the local caching scene if you do, however feel free to simply come along (with a plate for morning tea) and meet other cachers and spend a couple of hours talking to others who enjoy the game. Just being there and meeting/catching up with others is the main aim of the day........
ZsaZsa and I have finished the questions and printed the answer sheets......so all is good to go on that front.
If there are any changes due to weather, I'll post updates here.....otherwise we look forward to seeing everyone on Sunday morning.
Cheers,
SdL
Well, the weather is looking good for Sunday....could still be a bit cool maybe, but with the temp forecast of 4-16 with no rain, all should be good.
I've heard some people are a bit worry about attending as they have to participate in the trivia. Fear not though.....as it is certainly not compulsory to be a part of the trivia itself. You will hopefully learn more about the local caching scene if you do, however feel free to simply come along (with a plate for morning tea) and meet other cachers and spend a couple of hours talking to others who enjoy the game. Thanks to my excellent swimming lesson time changing skills :p I've freed up this (and future) weekends and am very excited to say that Southern-Miffy (all of us) will be attending. Will bring along something for the table to share. Doubt that we'll have much going on in regards to trivia knowledge, but happy to give it a go. Looking forward to meeting some cachers who understand what we get so excited about!
I would have liked to have attended this one again but it clashes with a pre-planned road trip for caching in other parts. Maybe next year.
I should be able to join you guys for this one! Might bring Nemo4, try and give him a reason to start caching again
I'm planning to come along, but don't expect to know any of the answers. [B)]
Should be fun!

Nervous, excited and willing to try the trivia. Team Maroon is in and will bring something to add to the festivities.
Hi
We are new to geocaching only started in July but our little family has really enjoyed it
We will endeavor to attend this event (I've recently had surgery so taking it one day at a time at the moment...) and will definitely bring something to share. I will make a cheese and spinach cob bread dip.
Looking forward to meeting other geocachers

Will be in Canberra for 3 days and able to attend on our final day.

Who wouldn't want to come back to this event? Enjoyed last year's event so it's good to see another one going ahead. We'll be there with a few treats and hopefully some trackables/pathtags/moveables. See you all there...
I think it is about time I met some more cachers, so I will try and come along. It really is starting to feel like a hobby for introverts at the moment. (:I)
Would be great to meet some other players, and as far as trivia knowledge goes... well, maybe I'll just listen.
We loved last years event and are very keen to attend again. We might bring some fruit unless anyone wants Miss Stormcatcher to make her special mint slice.
Spewin'!!! Looks like I will be unable to attend, so if you want to talk about me, make it nice!
After having a great time at the last one, I would love to be there. However, if horses stay fit and the weather is OK, I will be in Wagga or Harden or Berrima or somewhere watching the daughter ride/event. May be Mrs SDL can understand my predicament.
But if the proverbial hits the fan, I may appear, who knows.
Have fun everyone, Im sure you will.

I've got that weekend off, so looks like I'll be able to make it to this one. Not sure what kind of repast I can requisition right now - I'll have to update the log a little closer to the date.
With a little more attention paid I just realized an event on my birthday... How can I not attend
Sounds like good fun Looking forward to meeting fellow geofreaks and test out my cache trivia knowledge-dunno how I'll go lol! [:o)]. I'll bring lamingtons for 'mornos'
I am sorry I am going to miss this - looks like lots of fun. Will let some new cachers know that it is on though..
Definitely planning on being there, even though I failed miserably last year with the trivia. I'll bring my brownies, as usual. See you then!
