Logs

09-Nov-15
I cannot see any information that suggests to me that steps have been taken to resolve the issue/s associated with this placement - one or more of the following applies:

- Cache Owner unable to maintain cache
- No response from the cache owner.
- No cache to find or log to sign.
- It has been more than 28 days since the last owner note.
- Cache has been abandoned by cache owner/cache in disrepair

As a result I am archiving this cache to keep from continually showing up in search lists and to also prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the next 28 days, just contact a reviewer (by email and include GC number in cache name) and, assuming it still meets the current guidelines, the reviewer will be happy to unarchive it.

If there are components or remnants of the cache and you haven't already done so, please return to the GZ and collect the cache (or remnants). We don't want to litter our environment with Geotrash.

Should you wish to replace the cache after 28 days has passed please create a new cache listing so it can be reviewed as a new cache.

Seems abandoned to me.

MAINTENANCE REQUIRED?
[navy]This cache would appear to be in need of owner intervention, therefore I am temporarily disabling it so as to stop it showing up on search lists and to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary.

Geocache maintenance is a cache owner responsibility. Your prompt attention to any log that indicates things could be amiss will be greatly appreciated by all geocachers, see here http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#cachemaintenance
The guidelines advise; "if you can't check/fix it straight away then Disable it till you can." and here's how; http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235

Please respond to this situation within 28 days to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness.

If you require more time, please be sure to post a "Write Note" log (not an email) explaining the situation and how much more time you require. For ongoing issues please ensure you visit the page and post a note every 28 days so as to keep everyone up to date, or the cache will be treated as an abandoned cache and archived without further notice.

And don't forget, once you have addressed the issue, post both an "Owner Maintenance" log, see here; http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404 and an "Enable Listing" log, see here; https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 to get your cache up and running again.[/navy]

No luck, maintenance probably required given recent logs

07-Aug-15
It's missing

A few DNFs getting racked up here, and very few logs in a fairly popular caching area point to either a difficult hide or a missing cache.
BernieH and I climbed the target tree as best we could without any luck.
Since the cache appears to have been moved and may not be there at all I think an owner check is warranted.
Thanks anyway KOCATOOS

07-Aug-15
Out this morning caching with gmj3191, a chance to get out of the house and away from the list of chores that I have been allotted for attention.
This location/hide is highly questionable with half a dozen DNF's and comments about moved containers. Spent some time searching for this, maybe in the right spot, maybe not. Seriously needs a check by the CO.
Thanks for placing this cache KOCATOOS

22-Jul-15
Thoroughly searched the tree pictured in Julius Pompei's comment up to a height of 3-4 meters but came up empty. Also searched the tree indicated by the original GZ in case someone had returned the cache, however still found nothing. Probably muggled considering the recent DNF's.

07-Jul-15
No luck. Look at the GPS coordinates provided. Nothing there

03-May-15
Sad to report that we couldn't find this either, although we only climbed one tree and not very far up. Previous logs just had us confused about where we should be looking and what for. We'll tackle this another time. Thanks anyway KOCATOOS.

02-May-15
Sadly couldn't find anything in these trees today.

18-Apr-15
Looked in a lot of trees but could not find

13-Apr-15
to hard

09-Apr-15
Found by Julius Pompei on 9/4/15 found with AngusGEO.

Great camouflage but didn't really blend in with existing tree and the hint didn't apply. We believe it had been moved from its original position so we removed it and placed it in a more appropriate tree that blended in with its camouflage. We took a photo of the new tree. The hint now very much applies and the difficulty may slightly be increased.

Found this one pretty easily after doing a similar cache just earlier

Having an overnighter in Melbourne, I decided to do a few caches around town before heading to nightshift later this arvo. I jumped out of the car here expecting a climb in the rain, but after a short search I spied the little container nicely tucked away. Thanks KOCATOOS

09-Feb-15
Fuzzej and I spent 10 mins searching the wrong tree, only to wander over and find the cache easily. Not very well camouflaged where it is now. Right spot?

09-Feb-15
Searched and climbed the tree the co-ordinates had us at to no avail. Wondered over to another nearby tree and found the cache with my two feet on the ground (I am quite short). Not sure whether the cache has been moved as the camp suggests its in the wrong tree. I have a photo of where we found the cache, still seems weird. Anyway found it with ryanofoz, signed the log book and replaced it back where we found it.

08-Feb-15
Haha loved this one!!!
It was a hot day and we thought we might give this one a shot when we got to the tree we looked at the difficulty and it said 3.5 so we thought we would be there for a while.....
But then Tom found the cache pdq (pretty darn quick) so we signed the log book then headed home to have a drink and some food like MUFFINS!!!!!!

25-Jan-15
Found it. Second one on our list.

22-Jan-15
Easier than I expected. No climbing required for someone of my height. TFTC.

Great way to spend the school holidays! Thank you!

Suscoe's 9th find of 29 for today as we wandered around the Eastern suburbs.
It was a wet start to the day but the rain turned to drizzle and then it stopped with a heavy sky and no sun for the day.
Not many folks out walking today with the weather the way it was.
A nice quick find here today. Thanks to the Kocatoos for this hide.

30-Dec-14
Decided to make a geo trail on the way home from work and this was on the list
Parked opposite the park and a mere amount of steps to GZ. Which tree to climb. Checked out the photos bought me to the correct one. Climbed the tree, its all in the timing and slim as it is a very popular park for sport and play. Spotted the cache but how to get it. Flipped it out and climbed down to sign it. Should have just used my step ladder.
Thanks for the cache KOCATOOS

In the old stomping ground for a few days so thought I would try snag a few caches.
Quite an easy find, even in the dark.

A couple of potential locations near the GZ, but not too hard to find if you think about it. The camo was fantastic Smile

I love any type of cache which requires some tree climbing! Great camo too! Found with megwlison. TFTC

21-Oct-14
This was quite a difficult find

11-Oct-14
Thx Kocatoos nominated as 'really really cool' by skinny geokid who had no problems at all retrieving!

11-Oct-14
It's fun bot you will have to have some good tree climbing skills and look in the base off all the trees.

10-Oct-14
I spent a lot of time up the wrong tree today. upon arriving home i have read up the other logs and now know where it it. I even considered climbing up there too. Hmm maybe if i think something is getting a bit high up, then the cache isn't there. Instead of me climbing higher and higher again.

Next time i am out riding this way i'll grab it.

05-Oct-14
Wow! It took my kids and I a very long time. We were taken to so many different trees and finally we found the tree! My son needed a boost to get in the tree but it was great fun and we were all excited when we found the tube!

Finally found this ! Took me ages to find but first my gps took me to one tree then another and 3 time lucky I found it even with the photo I went to the wrong tree... thanks to some geo kids who found it yesterday . even after finding the right tree bit of a squeeze but don't give up it's worth it

Barked up wrong tree to start with widen the search with help from photos realized had wrong tree. Had the joys off the squeeze and climb and find definitely not a cache for all ages

28-Jul-14
Definitely barking up the wrong tree. Not an easy find. Good luck finders on this one! TFTC

09-Jul-14
This one was really fun to find and the camouflage was really clever! Love it thanks for the cache!

04-Jul-14
Quite a difficult retrieval and replacement because my arm seemed to bend in any direction but the required way to reach the cache. Cache in very good order and brilliant camouflage and fortunately the builder Muggles intent on their tasks over the road. Do hope I replaced it well enough not to be disturbed by animals. TFTC

01-Jul-14
Nicely hidden cache! Very diffcult with all the muggles.

30-Jun-14
Quickly spotted but let jeremy1991 retrieve it, he could reach it.
Thanks for the cache KOCATOOS.

22-Jun-14
Find 1147 at 00:05. I was out caching with Burge, Scarecrow_01 and Spartacus Al tonight. This was find number 9 of 13. A nice quick park and grab. We had to wait for some muggles in a nearby car to leave before replacing the container but after that we were on our way.

Thanks for the cache, KOCATOOS!

22-Jun-14
After pulling up at the cache we were all but 10m away and knew where it would be. Luckily we had a scarecrow with us and he was tall enough to grab the cache without the need to climb. Tftc tnln sl

Very nicely hidden after reading the description

Dunko and I found ourselves with an opportunity for some late arvo and evening caching today.
So after collecting Dunko we set off, along our route we found all caches we attempted without any issue, logged them and replaced as found. We enjoyed the types of hides and cache’s some we had to wait a short time for people to move on but that’s how it goes. Big Grin
Our thanks to KOCATOO'S for the effort and placement TNLN SL

29-Mar-14
Slink1 and I found an opportunity to sneak out for some late in the day caching. So after mounting up we set off on our way to pick up a few in the local area. We were fortunate enough to find all caches we attempted without too much difficulty, logged and replaced them as we found them. We had a great outing and enjoyed the fun. TNLN TFTC SL.

12-Mar-14
We came past this gz a few weeks ago but decided that we would return and try it another time after finding a bunch of muggle builders having their lunch break in the shade and this one seemed to be a cache that might draw some attention to us. Today the area was clear and I was quickly on to it and had it logged without too much trouble. Another fun cache this afternoon on a caching run through the area, TFTC KOCATOOS, nice camo work also.

King Jr

Found on the way to visit a local hospital - approaching there were a few possibilities. Looked a bit in the first place so expanded my search and saw it as I approached. Looking as the effort you had put into the cammo I was convinced that it was in the wrong spot so I moved it the a far more plausible location near by - I would not usually do this but considering the cammo.....

Thanks KOCATOOS - thanks for your effort - I will email you re the location...

03-Mar-14
Looked hard for this one with the geokids a month ago, but no luck.
Stopped on my way to work and found it immediately!

02-Mar-14
Out for a drive today as we had no other commitments for a pleasant change! The Chief found the cache without too much bother. Signed the log and we were on our way. TFTC

24-Feb-14
TFTC - nice camouflage

12-Feb-14
As I pulled up at GZ I was a bit concerned when I read the bit about 'climbing', as I looked down at my work clothes. Still, my 190cm frame has its advantages so I ventured over regardless and straight away spotted the hide, and within a few seconds had the cache without ever leaving terra firma. Quick sign and return, and then off to the next cache.

TFTC KOCATOO'S

02-Feb-14
We initially barked up the wrong tree as the coordinates had us in between. A change of tactics and I spotted something which was also barking up the wrong tree. Thanks for the cache.

02-Feb-14
Strange camo, has this leapt from one species to another. Managed to grab without leaving the ground, and boosted JosieY up to replace it.

Found @ 10:18pm, find # 2935.
Another Friday cache hunt with biggles1024.
We had stopped at this one earlier but we were muggled out so we left to go find some others first before returning once again to this one.
At GZ we started to look around from ground level but we were not seeing the cache so I took a look from a higher vantage point, the cache was spotted then went to the other side and retrieved it.
Thanks to KOCATOO'S for placing this cache.

Find #880
Out for another caching run with Stemicmitsar. A warm, Friday night resulted in many muggles being out and about too. [:(!]
When we first arrived at GZ, a car pulled up on the other side of the road and the occupants remained in the car. We couldn't search while they were there and so we left to find some other caches.
Returning a short time later, the muggles had left and with Steve performing some acrobatics, the cache was spotted and retrieved. It helps to be tall sometimes. SL TFTC

29-Jan-14
wasn't game to attempt this one in cleated bike shoes... will try again more suitably attired!

28-Jan-14
Good hide, had to keep watch as there where builders across the road, but still able to retrieve and sign and replace with out being spotted. Thanks KOCATOO'S for the cache.

04-Jan-14
Had a great day caching and enjoying the outdoors as usual. Many kilometres put on the geoPatrol to add to the numbers. Smile Now it is a waiting game for the next opportunity to get out again.

Many thanks KOCATOO'S for placing this cache.

04-Jan-14
We were out for a days caching with The Coffee's and micaparamedic and decided that with this many eyes it would be an ideal time to try and knock off a few inner city caches.
The boys had headed off across the park to look for the cache over the other side whilst the girls waited for a muggle to go inside. Mrs Coffee had spied the hidey hole so once the muggle was gone she very quickly grabbed the cache and our names were added to the log.
Thanks KOCATOO's for the cache.

04-Jan-14
Out with Team Crackers and Micaparamedic finding caches around the city. I spotted something not quite right, managed to squeeze through to remove the cache.
Thanks KOCA for the hide,
Regards The Coffee's.

04-Jan-14
I love a good tree climbing cache and this was no exception. I was glad to have the mini muggles along for this one as it was a bit of a tight squeeze to get up. After hoisting them into the tree it was a pretty quick find of this very cool container. Tftc

24-Dec-13
I couldn't find this geocache, maybe I'll have better luck next time!

23-Dec-13
That’s one more find for me! Thanks so much for hiding this geocache.

20-Dec-13
DNF at 3:16 PM. We presumed that the tree that we should have been looking in was the Paper Bark tree in accordance with the name hint - but couldn't find anything there. So we checked a few of the other trees with the same result.

12-Dec-13
Took a look around and didn't find the cache, even when comparing the location to submitted photos. Cache could potentially have gone missing, more likely I simply couldn't find it.

24-Nov-13
Found it with GeoHunter. TFTC

The entire park was deserted today and with no sign of life from any of the residents we were able to quickly locate this hide. We seemed to find a similar theme around here!
Thanks to KOCATOO'S for the cache.

It's always a good day to go caching on a Monday so an impromptu plan was hatched and here I am with my caching friend Square_Pegs. The cache was found in good condition. Thanks KOCATOO'S.

Found this one today. This was a very easy find as the cache had been left in an exposed position. I signed the log but didn't swap anything and returned this cache to a hiding position that was not quite so obvious. This may be worth an owner check to see if this cache is still in the correct location.

Thanks for the cache KOCATOO'S.

We found this cache within a minute of arriving. Just as we were about to leave my bike brake wasn't working, but a kind cyclist helped out. And we were off on our way! good times

My GPS took me to alittle from the GZ and I spent time barking up the wrong tree. Once I changed, found it straight away.

The logbook needs replacing. No more space to write. TFTC!
