After a great morning of paddling, we still had just enough energy to find this one after packing everything up and sorting all our wet gear.
Signing the log on this one proves we got back okay!
Thanks seirra1. I had such a lovely day out on the river today and so many of your hides added to the pleasure.

Not sure where, but could not find it.

27-Feb-21
Hmmm thought I'd logged this.. but apparently not.

1MinnieMoo, Crew 153, Pprime, and I were our finding older caches. I thought I had better get *something* for the day - and this was it!

We parked up and started our hunt. It was the eagle-eyed Crew 153 that came up with the goods. We signed the log and returned the cache to its home.

A great excuse for a stop - and a great job on the cache listing (some of us do read them!) TFTC seirra1 Smile

Out today for a run around the Sunny Coast hunting oldies, with Fangsoki, Crew 153 and 1MinnieMoo. An awesome day poking into some nooks and crannies of the area and finding some outstanding views. Quick find for us as we passed by.
Thanks seirra1 for entertaining me at this location.
Cool *{Overall find #8760}* Cool

Pprime put out a late call on Friday for passengers for his quick run around a few targeted caches on the Sunshine Coast. Fangsoki, 1MinniMoo and I put up our hands.

This was to be the last find for the day and we all headed in different directions and I had the privilege of the find.

Selva Girls and I decided more kayaking cache a must being so hot. And the tide was right to. The plan for me was to correct caches for 3 challenge caches.

We started down in Sippy Downs for me to collect 2 in a clear area. Then onto Coolum Creek and Maroochy River this our 5 visit to Maroochy River and we will have to come back for more.
Total finds for me were 14. So 3 mystery and 11 Traditional. Plus two log sign for challenge I don’t qualify yet. And 1 DNF.

We had a great day. As we got to Maroochy River we bump into more geocacher who already been paddling on the Maroochy before as.

Needs replacing

22-Mar-20
Was somewhat close to here today, and needed more caches with campfire attributes, so a quick detour was made. Found among many, many, many mosquitoes! Container under siege by ants, tether is not tethered to anything, and log is quite wet and would not be removed without substantial damage, so I have a photo if the CO requires.

08-Feb-20
Another soggy find after the rains.
The notes & photos hv been helpful.
Thx all

As others mentioned, the co-ords are somewhat out. Search in the treeline and not next to the road. It was a quick find. What a beautiful spot, we will have to come fishing here some day.

04-Sep-19
After heading too far into the trees, 1MinnieMoo and I were called back by wombles who had located the cache after checking out the photos.

Thanks for the cache seirra1 Big Grin

04-Sep-19
1minniemoo and nyssaflutterby headed into the trees but my phone was telling me to look near the road- it was wrong.
I eventually joined the others and we spotted it a bit further over from where we started looking.

4/9/19 12:38 pm Find #2706
The next cache of Wacky Wednesday for NyssaFlutterby, wombles and co and I, we drove down here and parked the car before wandering over to begin our search.
The hunt did take a bit, for started we walked in too far - well Nyssa and I did anyway - and I was distracted by the ropes with hooks I found. The cache was eventually found by wombles, near the edge of the trees instead.
Thanks for the cache seirra1.

I upset some ants who also appreciated this great little spot - so much that they made it their home. Log signed, cache replaced in its little nesting spot and a hamburger swap left. Thanks for bringing me to the Dunethin Rock area today. Great day out caching and swatting mozzies!

18-Dec-18
What a lovely location! It’s so nice by the river we made use of a table and had our lunch here.
There were a couple of old blokes on the little landing nearby having a fish and a yarn - a lovely scene.
And thanks for the history in the Description above - an interesting read.
Cache is all good and dry inside.
Thanks for this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area Sierra1.

It is just amazing some of the places that caching brings you to that are so close to home. The smell of some plastic is enough to get you out of the house, avoiding the real world problems of teenagers, electricity bills, slow NBN speeds, cheap condoms from China and domestic beer.

I was again surprised to find myself in a little gem of an area that I wouldn’t have otherwise known about. There were obviously some locals in the region but I think I was the only one without two heads. I’m not saying that I ain’t a bogan at heart but flush toilets leads me to believe my inner-city sh$t don’t stink.

What a cracking spot, and if I wasn’t interested in women, I would love to hang out here and fish, paddle, drink cheap vino, do burn outs and camp. There were quite a few people around but none near the cache and even though I knew where it would be, I didn’t want to upset anyone by appearing normal. I did find the cache in the end but my logging skills have been affected by cheap vino. tftc

Our last day camping at Dunethin Rock Scout Camp.
This afternoon Bill took his kayak out onto Maroochy River. Completing some of the Muru-kutchi Trail before the wind come up & he had to return to camp.
After dropping Bill at the boat ramp I stopped to locate this cache.
Thanks for placing this cache seirra1

Drove up from Canberra, for a much needed holiday staying with my parents in Caloundra ... Up here for a few weeks (Christmas, and most of January Smile
Been finding at least one cache a day since I left home, went to Widgee for the NYE Geocaching weekend, and had heaps of fun up there finding lots of caches with a bunch of great people, now back to caching on my own (or sometimes with my muggle parents if we are out and about together)
We came camping for a few days, at a cane farm on the river bank (owned by some good friends of my parents) - too many bull sharks for swimming, but lots of paddle time in my kayak Smile
Another early morning paddle - find #1
TFTC - Parked my kayak at the jetty, walked up and looked for a while. Nearly got abducted by alien mozzies, had a look out in some unlikely spots and then back in to brave the hoards of blood suckers ... was about to give up, and found it Smile

02-Dec-17
out kayaking with my muggle friend. it was nice to get out of kayak and have little walk. took a little while to spot this one. meanwhile a boat went past and filled our kayak with water. lucky i brought a sponge. thanks for placing this cache here for us to enjoy

We are nomads. Having left Perth WA in February 2014 we now live in our caravan and go wherever the will or caches take us. Wink

Staying a few days in Maroochydore, the plan was to head out to do a full day caching. And yay the plan came together. Alas the mozzie population was out in force and we had to double down on the Bushmans as they were even eating us alive in the car! But..... we did find your cache so all good. Razz

Thanks for the cache found while over on the sunshine coast for a winter break.

Out for a quick walk on my own to grab this one before heading further afield with Dutchie1950.

A nice easy find.

06-Aug-17
I came up to Yandina for the event yesterday and cached my way up and found two more close to the Scout Camp yesterday before lunch. Plan today was to find the 5 I had on my list and leave for home by 0930. Plans changed.
Teamed up with RhoboCacher and Echocage1 with me being the pilot for 11 for me,9 for one and 7 for the other as they had these as found earlier. Left base camp at about 0915 ans back at about 1115. Good company and no DNF's but came close once. Got back to Nanango at 1400. Very good two hours in close proximityu to the Scout camp. TFTC seirra1

06-Aug-17
Out touring local caches with Rhobocacher and Youngoldfella as pilot. Enjoyable outing. Coords went everywhere but first run on the board from Youngoldfella. TFTC

06-Aug-17
Out with YoungOldFella and Echocage1 today for a few of the surrounding caches while we were camping for the event. My plans had changed this morning due to the weather and the pain levels so we decided to these ones. This one was out by 12m for us but not sure if that was combined tree and cloud cover. We found and signed and as we were leaving we saw someone else approaching. TFTC Smile

05-Aug-17
Up for the Dunethin Rock Event today, but first I spent the morning paddle with IolantheK, Brother Colin, Jess & Caro up the creek, followed by some random caching [^]

IolantheK, Caro and I went for a quick walk to grab this one [^]
With all the GPS reading jumping all over the place it was good to have IolantheK there as a previous finder to give us a pointer or two [^]

Found on a night time hunt after the local event at the scout campground, we would have been lost if a previous finder hadn't been with us to give us a hand. TFTC

05-Aug-17
A little tricky here as our co-ords were taking us elsewhere but soon Patrol 14 had it under control. Signed and replaced where found. TFTC

05-Aug-17
Out searching for caches near the Dunethin event today with Richmond Lad, joojoo57, Imbunda and patrol14. We finally located this cache after widening the search and was able to sign the logbook and return cache to its hide.
Lovely view and sad that I didn't bring my fishing rod...

After attending the event nearby, a group of us decided to spend the rest of the afternoon caching around the area. Had to widen our search before finally spotting the clever hide. Thanks and a lovely spot as well.

After settling in for the event I set off to explore the area. This was the first cache I came to and soon found after a bit of wandering in circles. All good here. Thanks seirra1
