A quick find in a very quiet location, hard to imagine a race track just over there. TFTC
Rustic indeed! Mrs B & I headed here making this our last cache find for the day before heading back to Mildura for dinner. Upon arriving close to the GZ, "The Boss" announced, *"Nope! Too icky. Off you go and fetch!"* Well I did eventually after much cursing while wondering aloud: *"This area gets flooded. Where the [insert rude word] would you hide a damn cache around here?"* Cue to take a peek at the hint which made no sense until . . Bingo! So that's what it means!TFTC
Today we headed out of town to Wentworth and then worked our way back through Merbein and surrounds to Mildura. It was a clear sunny day, but wind kept the temperatures down and at time we were greatful to be in the car. Some lovely scenery was encountered from desert like scrub through farming land and the banks of the Murray. We managed Earthcaches, a Wherigo, multis and trads as well as puzzles. We also encountered a number of great cache containers.A busy but enjoyable day.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache TheVersteegs.**SKI Pair****
Second day of our river cruise. Jumped off the boat for a morning walk with this cache being our first find for the day
Southern Autumn adventure Day 59. Mildura Trip Day 8. Everyone from Canberra has now headed off and I have a couple more days here. The day started with some Labs and a few caches near Mildura and Gol Gol, before I headed over to Merebin again to target another Riverside area flush with caches. I had a very enjoyable walk around a billabong with some very interestingly themed caches and then another series that I was happy to be able to drive along. It was another great day with rain threatening on and off, but I managed to stay dry while out of the car (just for the big walk). I then headed home via a few more of the outer region caches that always seemed a little out of the way, but I had time for today.
Thanks for the cache TheVersteegs

After emptying the container of water and letting it dry out overnight, we’ve returned today to place a new log and swaps into this cache
All good to go for future finders!!

Out looking for some of the caches in Merbein Common that were in the recent flood zone. I’m impressed that this one was still there!!
Emptied a bunch of water, and will bring a new log down tomorrow to replace the waterlogged one.
Great little spot along the river, TFTC!

Another big geocaching trip to Australia with woolwood9.
Our main focus was on the "On Your Bike" Wherigo series, which we really enjoyed.
Biggest disappointment was solving all the Paddle Steamer puzzles, then driving within 4km of them before finding the roads all completely turned to sticky slush and unusable!
We visited many other good caches and other trails on our trip and had a lot of fun!
Really appreciate the effort put into this cache.

While travelling through the area we picked up a few caches along the way and this was one of them.
Caches and contents were very good. Left TB and Took TB.

Found by Mary and David at 12:50. What a lovely area. D found this one too. Dropped off "Running Susi" TB. Our thanks to TheVersteegs.
Full time nomads visiting Mildura to finally tackle the Paddle Steamer with iluvtrekking. Of course we have to stop in town and find some caches here before we go 'bush'. Great weather and a fun day out today, good company with lots of laughs and ooh ahhh at the clever caches we found. Plenty of fave point to give out today.

Another cache find on our 2022 South Australian Adventure, yes I know we have wandered over the border. Never mind, it is a wonderful day and we have joined forces with FelixII so we are off to see what we can find. Thanks to all the COs for taking us on this geo-guided tour.
No luck in the dark.
Some logs say co-ords inaccurate too, although I could not find a log with better co-ords...
Oh well, next time..

Not sure why I wandered back into the common after the last visit and I’d looked for this cache prev. Today, read a few logs and realised it was a fair distance from where I’d been searching. And technically not within the guidelines That may help future finders. The usual cohort of rowdy hoons down at the river

Out on hot summers day caching adventures with Wollaston. How sad folk had no choice but to make such a place a home, so tough, no wonder it was called the Great Depression.
Container condition good
Log condition good, added new plastic bag
Thanks to CO’s for taking time to set out and maintain hides and for showing us your very special part of the world

*Staying in Mildura for a few days*
In town with Happy pants, Happy Feet, The Empire, omegaman1971 and Rebel Acts for a few nights and to clean up the Paddle Steamer Geo Art Trail and a few other series if time permitted.
We headed out to grab a few local caches after completing The Turtle Series. We made our way to GZ where we made the straight forward find. Such a great variety of hides and containers. I have seen many wonderful sights, a fantastic variety of hides and taken many photos around this fantastic area
Thanks for the cache TheVersteegs. Appreciate your efforts.
Stamped log and returned as found.

This was a great opportunity to get away with some caching friends in Mildura. The plan was to hit some of the local trails and geo art. There was many other hides discovered, with some really great containers and hides in the area.
Found after a short search.
Thanks TheVersteegs for placing the cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy the find.

Here in Mildura for a few days with Snap Happy, omegaman1971, Happy Feet and Happy Pants.
Once we'd finished finding the nearby turtle series geoart, we were keen to keep on caching into the late afternoon, then on and into the night. "There's another one over here" was the saying heard most today. We found a plethora of different cache types, hide styles and were happily perplexed at some GZs! Thanks for the cache TheVersteegs.

We came down this way to complete the nearby night cache multi. The boys went after this one in the dark, by the light of car head lamps. This would sure be a lovely place to camp; we could hear the ruckus of nearby campers enjoying the good life.

After an 18 month geocaching halt, this March long weekend I tagged along with Mogni, Sir Specture, JJ52 and Allister (caching as the Mystery Randoms) to conquer the Mildura Paddle Steamer and Turtle. We were lucky to encounter good weather, fine caches and a lot of red dust! Many thanks to 4Moule and the Mildura caching community for creating an entertaining geo-destination. TFTC! See you again soon.

A plan was made for a group of us, (mogni, sir_spectre, allister w, BratKat and myself) to head over to Mildura for the long weekend as the borders are now open and we wouldn't have to quarantine on the way back. [^]
Two of us spent a long time solving all the puzzles in the Turtle and Paddle Steamer series along with the other puzzles around Mildura, but they were put away waiting for the time when we could get over to find the caches.
We had a very busy weekend and managed to find all of the Turtle and Paddle Steamer caches along with some of the high favourited caches, an Adventure Lab, one night cache, quite a few gadget caches and a couple of water caches...and then we ran out of time.
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and had a great time finding lots of different caches and we will have to make a return trip to find those that we didn't get around to.
All caches stamped "Mystery Randoms" [^]
We stopped off here for a quick find in the dark after completing the nearby night cache.

A group of South Australians jumped to border in to Victoria for the long weekend. The group was Allister W, JJ52, Mogni, Sir_spectre, and BratKat. All logs stamped as " Mystery Random's ". We left Adelaide and headed over to Mildura. The target for the puzzlers was to clear the highway caches then complete the " Turtle series " and the " Paddle Steamer series " since they had solved all the puzzles before coming over. My target was the D5/T5 underwater field puzzle and also hoping to get up to 13000 finds this trip ( that was achieved ). Once those goals where filled we mainly targeted caches with high favourite points and started on the many multi's that are in Mildura. I highly enjoyed the field puzzles and themed caches from the locals and sorry to say that we only did 1 of the night caches. On the 2nd night after doing 356 caches during the day it bucketed down that night and we had a beer/wine or two instead. We will be back, maybe not this year, but it will be the sooner, not later.

Found with the JAMS crew while night caching around Mildura. It was the Duke and I walking around GZ and then I happened to find it. I thought The Duke( aka Sir Spectre) would have spotted it first with his 15 million lumen head lamp but I did with the daylight his torch had created. "Let there be light" TFTC TheVersteegs
The common is such a beautiful locale! Came out here with Lord Rossatron to do the night cache, thought you would stop and get a few before. Tftc!
Found on a trip from Adelaide to the Mildura area for a few days of caching with Team Waldron, Brisal5 and FeatherWaite. Our main targets were the Paddle Steamer and Turtle geoart series' but we also took the opportunity to seek out a few other caches along the way.
We were fortunate with the weather. After a burst of very hot days, we timed our trip nicely to coincide with the milder conditions before the next hot spell. That helped to make both the caching and the camping along the Murray River and in the Murray-Sunset National Park very pleasant.
We ended up finding all the caches that we had targeted. Most were in good order. Some of the puzzles were quite challenging and there were some very novel and entertaining multi's. Some certainly took a bit of finding and there were many very clever and/or tricky caches and containers that were a credit to the cache owners’ ingenuity.
It would have been good to have had another day or two to complete the remaining caches in the area, but I’m sure we’ll be back.
Thanks to all the cache owners for the hides.

Found during a trip from Adelaide to the Mildura area for a few days of caching with Brisal5, e.gregory1 and Team Waldron with the main aim to complete the Paddle Steamer and Turtle GeoArt series but also to find other caches along the way. We camped out on the banks of the Murray River near Mildura on the first night, at Rocket Lake campground in the Murray-Sunset National Park on the second night, then back to the banks of the Murray River near Merbein on the last night. We signed the logs as B.E.F.W. Thanks to all the cache owners for placing the cache!
The roads are as dry as anything at the moment but we can certainly see that they would be horrible when wet. Made our way into ZgZ and found the well hidden cache.
Thanks TheVersteegs for the placement.
