We are sorry to be archiving this cache but due to health reasons we are no longer able to maintain this cache. Happy caching around Melton.
Located it on a sunny afternoon looking at the Rotary Park Avenue of honour. Great cache. TFTC. TNLN.
Foind the cache vlever hiding dpot. No log or pen. Added paper and signed but didn't leave a writing stick. TFTC. Great spot and amazing tree although got a bit wet wading through long grass after rain
This one we sort of found - well we found the container and I am pretty sure it was the container as it had a green Official Geocaching Sticker on it. The container was in great condition and I think it was where it was meant to be, but unfortunately it was empty - so no log to sign. Team Plowfive.
Had a day off today and decided to get some caches around Melton. Last find of the day and what a great old tree this is. I wish I was a kid again as I would spend all day here climbing it. TFTC
Such a beautiful tree at GZ. I'm so glad I was able to enjoy this lovely Saturday afternoon there. Tftc!
On our trip to Melton we decided to take my grandparents! 3 boys were excited to take their great grandparents geocaching! Thanks
While visiting from Michigan USA, I took 3 muggles caching in their own back yard. This was our first find together..they loved it! We had a nice walk through the park in search of the caches while catching up on the 10 years since we've seen each other. TFTC
Discovered that I had not logged this find, while clearing my GPSr found list, so now logging quite a few caches and this was one of those, not forgotten but as it was a large container in a quite easy to find hide Thanks The 2 Wanderers, these walking trails around Melton are popular
An afternoon walk doing the trail. Wow. I love gum trees. I got carried away taking photos here. Definitely fav for me!
I returned to the cache today and left an emergency replacement log because the incumbent log is full, a 2B pencil with rubber because there was nothing to write with, and, finally, a pencil sharpener.
Thanks for the Cache, The 2 Wanderers. My calculations took me to the tree and my geo-senses did the rest. The cache is in good shape, and there a small number of treasures. SL TN LN.

This morning, I'm on my way up to a weekend of events by the Murray, but in true Geocaching fashion, have begun by travelling at right angles to the direction of my destination. I think it's going to be a long day...
What's almost as good as a nice little cache series? An addition that brings back fond memories of a nice little cache series. I parked in the recommended spot, and enjoyed the stroll down to a very pleasant little rest stop on the trail. Thanks to The 2 Wanderers.

I had to go to the pool shop today, so I took the loooooooong way around to ensure I could collect a few caches on the way. Wow what a tree! It was so magnificent that I decided to up the terrain rating by climbing up and around and exploring some more. Luckily that's not necessary to find the cache, which I did, signed the log, and upon returning started sliding backwards down the embankment. Haha maybe I should have my own terrain rating for my clumsiness!

Ventured out to the area to find a few caches on a wonderful Labour day holiday.

Clever hiding spot. Such amazing travels today what a great idea. Left a gold bell
The GPS cut out on me as I got within 4m of GZ but checking the usual spots had me signing the log and off again in no time.

TFTC. We had decided to stay in Hillside with team Stacie&Mitch for another night with the intention of completing the RRR trail and then because we were close the TSS trail. This morning with two thirds of team Stacie&Mitch (two grand children ) we set of for a day of quality time with number 1 grand daughter and number 3 grandson.
We stopped in the area for a bite to eat before starting on the Killarney Lakes Adventure. After lunch we walked and drove to the various caches on the trail. Definitely a great spot to walk and ride bikes.

We decided to do some caching in the Killarney Lakes area on our way back to Adelaide. Fortunately the weather wasn't too hot for a walk this morning. It was nice to see water birds around - but no beavers. TFTC

Passing through for the event while on the way to Warrnambool, so will take the opportuity to grab a cache or 2. Teamed up with TR!, Snap Happy, Suss_Vulture and Princess Diana. After a short search the find was made by suss so all could sign the log.
Thanks The 2 Wanderers for placing & maintaining the cache for us to find.

Find No. 1155. Found with FUF009 at 4.18pm.
A trip to Melton to attend Intervening Days V111 Event. Once that was over it was time to do some caching before heading home.
Our gps took us to the area but not quite the right spot. We had plenty of places to look and with three sets of eyes lookin all around. it took no time before FUF009 came across it.

Find # 2670 @ 1618 H
Found with Tyred n Cranky
After attending INTERVENING DAYS event, hitting the shops we decided to head out to this small group of caches.
This one had us hunting in the wrong spot for a little bit, think the tree cover was playing up with the GPSr but a little logic (and seeing the amount of trampled leaves) I soon had the hide in hand.

Yay, finally some water in sight! In fact, this is really pretty, with major gum trees and the creek distracting from the nearby road. The cache was soon spotted and signed by all of us.
It contains an interesting temporary log, but it does the job.
Thanks for bringing us here!

After attending the intervening event I was wanting to stretch the legs. It always good to check out different areas and the walk along here was very quiet today. This is my first on the walk. Beautiful old trees around here. Thanks for bringing me here The Seven Secrets
After bumping intoWhitepaws9 at a previous cache, we decided to join forces to pick up the caches around the Killlarny Lakes. This was the last stop on our circuit around the area, and definitely the most magnificent of all the river gums we have seen. After Whitepaws 9 made the find we spent several minutes just admiring this river giant, and wondering how many years it took to reach such an impressive size. After walking back to the cars it was time to say goodbye to Whitepaws9 and head for home. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
After a local event, and the fact that we had a number of the local caches already converted to smilies, we decided a walk down this way was the way to go. So we teamed up with HappyFeet1, Snap Happy, Suss_Vulture and Princess Diana and headed off. This was the 5th to be converted to a smiley.
This one was found easy, signed and replaced.
Thanks for bringing us here.

My second last find of the morning ride, this was a much quicker than the next find which I spent at least 20 minutes at. Sooner or later these great trees end up falling over due to the erosion of the banks, although the river upstream was empty, so maybe it will be later than sooner . Thanks for the cache
Amazing tree here and great spot.
Thanks The 2 Wanderers for bring me here and cache.

Find #1511
I did a drop off at the airport and spent an evening caching in unfamiliar territory out west. Mixed success in this area with some finds and some DNFs. No problems here so the team that salvaged this earlier in the day did a good job as far as I am concerned. I signed the temporary log that they had left and re-hid with the camo. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables that I am taking to the Melbourne mega event. Thanks for the cache The 2 Wanderers.

It has been a while since I done a caching run & being a weekend and the forecast looking promising - I decided upon a run in the Melton area. A quick call to tidder and by 11am, we were well and truly on the way. We couldn't ask for a better day - in fact the weather was supreme, and with NO muggles to contend with. Both tidder and I enjoyed the peaceful walk and the amazing shapes and sizes of the Red gums.
The Hide:
Unfortunately the hide was muggled - it appeared it had been sitting in the open for a few days. We signed the back of the stash note and returned the hide in the more likely hidey hole. Tidder did his best to camo the hide as best as he could.
Overall a worthy series - shall recommend.
Many Thx to the CO

Parked the car and shogun and I made the short walk along the path to this magnificent old huge Red Gum tree. When we arrived at the location, the cache had been muggled and contents along with container were strewn on the ground. No log book to be seen anywhere. We picked up the contents and placed them back in the container. We made up a temporary log which we both signed. We were not sure where the hide was so we went by GPS and placed it in a most likely spot.
CO might need to check on this.

When we came across this cache, we found it had been muggled and contents thrown on the ground.
We provided a temporary log and were not sure where to put it back.
This will need to be checked and a new log to be provided. Thanks

Beautiful tree at GZ, I can see why your grandkids love visiting it. There were plenty of places to hide a cache away as well and I initially proceeded to make this more difficult that it really was before stepping back and spotting the relatively straight forward hide. Thanks for cache The 2 Wanderers.

Our trip today was towards Melton. We spent a peaceful time walking the trail around Killarney Lakes.
This was a huge tree with lots of spots to hide a cache.

I had found a previous version of this cache a while back. But it was a harder climb to get. Great area. Tftc.
Found at 3:30pm, a straightforward one and another magnificent set of trees around here.

We parked alongside the Golf Course fence and walked over the road to this one. There is a fabulous River Red Gum Tree here and it's huge, set on the banks of the creek. Take your camera as it's worth a photo or two.
A great spot for a cache, which is easily found.

In the Melton area this afternoon on a work related task, managed to find some time to whip around and find a few caches, many thanks to for the effort and placement of this cache. TNLN SL
Another cool location. Tree is awesome. Some decent things for the kids to trade, although we didn't as we had nothing to leave. TFTC
Spent the day in Melbourne with tmann421 while waiting for a flight back home.
Collected a few of the local caches and admired the views while in the area.
Another nice quick find for us here in a lovely area.

Great to see a couple of Geocaches on the same road. I would recommend parking the car and walking for a little while
Wow plenty of hidey spots here , and it brings me back to the phenomenon of why is it always in the last place you look ? Took TB left a US $ 1 . TFTC.
We found this cache today at 4:55pm as number 13 of 23 on our Melton Intervening Days Tour. "HA" found this cache at the most obvious spot. A special cache for us as this is our 1,000th find for the year, the first time that we have acheived this feat. Thanks from D & HA B-A.
Found today after attending the Intervening Days event in Melton. Love the tree! TFTC
Found on another caching adventure with Trailrunning, With the day off we decided to head out to the Western Suburbs and do a few caches, the higlight being the TSS caches. Thanks The 2 Wanderers for the cache.
A day off work prior to Christmas break saw Rebel Acts and I going for a drive out this way to pick up a few caches. Nice little run and heaps of fun. Thanks
