Whilst completing the final location for the 4 Waterfalls and a Lookout AL here at Cliento Falls, I just had to call by this cache and find it. After completing the AL and passing some muggles I arrived at GZ. What a lovely spot in the middle of suburbia. After looking at the hint, it didn't take too long to find what the hint referred to. Log signed, and returned back with plenty of leaf litter I emerged from the jungle and returned to the geomobile. Thank you for bringing me here with another of your caches theyoung-1z!

Found it. It is still here even though previous logs say it has been moved. If you're using your it ping you everywhere, you have to rely on the clue, not your phone, to find it. New log paper has been added as the previous one was damp.

Wow! What a story to tell we have about this find! Ill start with this it was attempt #4 for ATLH. While our searches on previous occasions were just as thorough, the cache itself had been missing at those times. So it was a case of re-looking in all the same places on our recent visit with Duppers. Only this time we had PAF the previous two finders (who both gave excellent guidance). Our two sets of eyes gave it a good half an hour, covering a very generous perimeter, but there was no container to be found. I think its fair to say we searched every tree, but the GZ was obvious from the hint and our two finder friends, so we accepted fate and moved on, continuing along the trail admiring the falls and doing the adlab waypoint before reaching the top. No sooner had we crossed the rockface and were heading out, Duppers spied a blue thing out of the corner of her eye, placed in the crook of a tree in the path. Whats that then? Would you believe its the cache?!?! All the way up here? Now THAT is some cache creep! It was definitely THE cache as the sistema had the GC code on it and the logbook had the last few finders signatures in it. We couldnt believe our luck. Clearly someone had picked it up and decided not to take it just before leaving the park. How unreal that we found it after all!! I had to rush off for school pick up so after we signed it, Duppers went back and placed it where it was clearly meant to be. All photos taken for evidence (and memories).Note: cache container found at S26 36.847' E152 57.107'

AtTheLakeHouse and I attended this years GIFF Event at Nambour Library. Following that event, we had already planned to come here to find this cache, as we knew it had been found recently. We walked anti-clockwise around the path, looking for an Archived cache along the way, just in case it was still there. It wasnt. Approaching GZ, our iPhone were telling us different things, so we looked around, without success. We then checked the hintah, thats where its hidden? Unfortunately, even though the spot looked perfect for a cache, there was no cache, so ATLH and I proceeded to search in the many other possible locations where a cache might be hidden. Again, with no success.Eventually, we each contacted a different previous finder, who tried to assist, but again, no luck. I contacted the CO, but there was a short delay in their reply. I mean, they werent sitting on their phones/computers waiting for me to call??? Haha. ATLH was on a time limit, so we eventually headed off, completing the circuit. We went past a couple of millennials, taking social media photos in front of the (barely running) falls, headed up the hill, ticked of an Ad Lab waypoint and continued over the rocks. It was about that time that I had a reply from the COs (only a few minutes after my initial message, to be fair). Just as we were starting to wind up our many and varied conversations, I saw something in the fork of a tree that caught my attention. I walked over to the container. It was the cache! Wow! My hypothesis is that some kid found it and grabbed it, and their parent told them to put it down, so they plonked it in the tree.It was certainly one of the strangest cache finds Ive had. AtTheLakeHouse had to race off, so I returned to GZ, cache in hand, and placed the container where I assume it should be, covered by natural camo. I hope it stays put this time. Thanks for the surprising cache, theyoung-1z.A FP for the lovely location and the memorable find.

I've wanted to look for this geocache for such a long time.In fact as soon as I discovered there was a waterfall in nambour. Say what.Hopefully with an adventure lab waypoint dedicated to the falls now, it will encourage more people to this beautiful hidden forest. This cache deserves way more favourite points.Thank you for bringing it to everyone's attention with a geocache.Waterfalls only a trickle at the moment.Cool spot.Walked to here from town, then walked back.

I imagine this would be a lovely waterfall when the water was more than a small trickle. I took some photos as I waited for muggles to pass by and then quickly found the cache thanks to the helpful hint. Thanks theyoung-1z

I've not really considered Cilento Falls before. I didn't really know there was a lovely waterfall in a smallish park right near Nambour. But, this is why geocaching exists, right? To highlight attractions we'd otherwise miss. This afternoon, there was to be an event on the Sunshine Coast, so I decided to maximise my day, drive up early and smash through some older hides. This wasn't strictly one of them, but it was right next to the track and otherwise, I'm happy to add the smiley.

Just a couple hours ago, a lockdown for in a couple hours had been announced. I parked up, and headed into the park, ready to dodge people. There were so few around at least, and I quickly located the entrance to the track. Along the whole walk, I'd see a total of 3 other people. Safe to say I more or less had the place to myself. And that feels rare for this place, especially in summer months.

Not knowing too much what to expect, I walked along, hopped over the roacks at the top, zig-zagged down the otherside, and popped out at the falls. That's sure unexpected! A little natural treat, not so far from civilisation. I stayed a while, enjoying the falls flowing, before carrying on.

As I got near GZ, my phone did jump around an awful lot. I would check a lot of wooden places, and kept an eye out for any muggles, though none would come. In the end, I felt like a right bush turkey at times! But, the clues and previous logs helped me out a bit. This was a magical little place to visit, and I am glad I came. Plus, a bonus smiley for the day too! Thanks for the geocache, theyoung-1z Smile

We came up from Brisbane to attend a beta test of soon-to-be-published wherigos, and arranged to meet up with teamdfl to grab some caches beforehand.

We took the walk the wrong way at first (I really should read Descriptions!) and ended up without a clear way through, so headed back up and around for a much simpler way to GZ. Here we spent a long time toodling about, but despite the fact we had a previous finder with us, we didn't get the smiley Sad

Nope. Visited three times looking for this one. Quite happy to keep coming back as its such a lovely spot. Pretty sure we searched every log and other type of hidey spot for this, so we're content that we gave it our best. If you get the chance, do the full circuit walk. Although its a bit overgrown on the other side of the creek, it is actually part of the track and will take you to the top of the falls. TFTC young ones.

Out during school hours for a caching adventure between Palmwoods and Nambour, picking up some hitherto unfound caches.

Having seen recent pics and vids from others, this one looked a great place to visit. After uncovering the nearby archived cache, I headed back to the park and followed the other (wrong) trail, before realising I was at the top rather than the bottom, and with no way down. Oops.

Enjoyed the view from above then went below and clambered over the rocks for a good look at the falls. Must be spectacular after rain.

On the way back I drove off the track and searched around a few spots before making an easy find.

Today I'm out and about with barbbowman and Mrs SP and we're after ILTL series caches in the Nambour area today.

One of the things I love about geocaching is the places it takes you to. We needed to make a pit stop and this park looked really interesting, especially because it had a waterfall. So off we went! We followed the track, across the boulders, down the hill to the pool at the bottom of the waterfall. Wow, how lovely is this! We spent a bit of time exploring and then started the search for the cache. There were so many places to look. I decided to start about 10 m out from where my coordinates had GZ and you wouldn't believe it, I was right on top of the cache! Phew, that was lucky! There was a little bit of water in the container, which we drained, and although the log was a bit damp, we still managed to sign it. Better still, that's another unloved cache we have found, yay! TFTC theyoung-1z Smile

Thursday. Mrs SP was out with barbbowman and Raynersinoz today. Wow! What can I say? What a beautiful area. I never knew this area existed in Nambour and I’ve got geocaching to thank for bringing me to these sorts of spots. I would never have discovered this gorgeous area otherwise. Awarding a FP because of the beautiful area. This one also turned out to be an unloved cache! Bonus. Container was a little damp, but all sorted out at the time of signing the log. Lots of pics taken here.

This was the 10th of 12 caches found on today's trip.

Thanks ***theyoung-1z***, for showing us this place. Smile

I was working in the area today so I decided that I should grab this one prior to going home.

I enjoyed the walk down to the falls.

The cache was found eventually when the GPS settled down.

The log was signed and returned to the cache and the cache replaced exactly as found.

All is good with this cache.

What a lovely circuit lots of water in the falls today. Cache container had water in it but log was dry in the bag. TFTC

05-Nov-17
So geohusband wouldn't listen and insisted on taking the left path instead of the right. This leads one to above the falls - so it was turn around and start all over again from the right path! Once at GZ we were concentrating our search on the one side but it turned out to be on the other (thanks to reading a previous log which mentioned searching on the wrong side). From here it was a quick find in the obvious place.

Mrs RoddyC and I are spending the weekend at the Event at Dunethin Rocks, picking up a few caches here and there . Grannysmith1947 has joined us for the morning of our third and final day.

Parked up and left the geowife in Mitsi reading her magazine while I went walk-about. Arrived in the approximate region of GZ but my GPS was all over the place and it had me on one side of the path but I eventually found the cache on the other side. All good with the cache although there was no zip-lock bag on the log so I put one there for you. Great place for a walk. Its strange because when we are normally in this area there are no parking places to be had anywhere but today the roads seems almost deserted. TFTC theyoung-1z Smile

21-Mar-17
Having just moved to Nambour recently I am just discovering the various sites around the city. I had no idea there was a proper waterfall virtually in people's backyards here, and with the recent rainfall the falls were spectacular. Cache and log were found in good condition. Thanks for a great hide in a great location theyoung-1z.

10-Feb-17
An early start this morning to try to pick up a few Nambour caches before it got too hot. This was a very pleasant walk and I was glad of the hint to take the right hand path as the GPS would have sent me bush. Not surprisingly with the tree cover the GPS was all over the place at GZ but the caching instincts must be getting better as an obvious hide jumped out at me. I am afraid the cache is not in a sealed bag though and I did not have a big enough spare one with me. TFTC the young-1z

Phone died about 10m away so had to do a bit of searching to find it (but thats what geocaching is all about) had the life scared out of me by an over-protective water dragon but managed to get in and out in one piece...

While attending the Dunethin Rock Event, Mr Just a Trifle went out for a morning of hiking with a few other like minded caching teams. Unfortunately, the weather didn't want to co-operate but they still managed to find a few good caches along some tracks. This was an enjoyable walk in and the cache was found easily enough.

Thank you theyoung-1z for having placed the cache and for maintaining it for everyone to enjoy.

06-Aug-16
It was this time last year that I visited GZ on my own while visiting the Sunshine Coast for the Dunethin Rocks event. Unfortunately on that occasion I was unable to locate the cache and had to post a DNF. At least I wasn't going mad, with the cache replaced shortly thereafter. Today a larger group called in today after a walk to Baxter Falls and retraced my steps. The cache was quickly found this time round and after signing the log most of us continued our walk around the top of the falls to enjoy the scenery. TFTC

06-Aug-16
Found as part of the Dunethin Rocks Menagerie. On arrival we headed down the path towards the falls. I was a little sower, and by the time I arrived the find had been made. Thanks for the cache.

06-Aug-16
My son, T.C.C.505's early morning soccer game delayed our trip to this weekend's Dunethin Rocks event. With some drizzly rain preventing some of the weekends planned activities, we joined some other crazy cachers to find some interesting caches in the region.

A pleasant walk through the forest to this cache and the falls. We then completed the circuit. I even managed a fall on some slippery rocks above the falls.

Many thanks, theyoung-1z

06-Aug-16
Out n about today with a few other geocaching tragics, having completed a short walk earlier into Baxter Falls and now it's raining. The rain has somewhat changed our plans (I use the term "our" very loosely coz I'm just along for the ride and have nothing to do with the plan) but I'm sensing there is a little disappointment as it is now driving by and grabbing caches along the way. Most of us not interested in doing bigger walks in the rain. By the time it is clear enough to go for a walk it is time to head back to Dunethin Rock for the event.

A lovely short walk along the track to the cache and then further along to the falls and keep going around the circuit back out again. Nice to have some falls so close to houses and a park.

Thanks for the hide.

After the kids were dropped off with their Dad, I decided to do something I enjoy and haven't done for quite some time - go caching, before I head to the movies.
After hearing my sister's story of her adventure to get here, I had been putting this one off for a very long time. Today, I saw the park it was close to and thought that I'd have a quick look.
Let me just say - I have found a new favourite place to visit........and the waterfall wasn't even flowing properly.
I have visited this park a couple of times when we have needed to visit the hospital, or have been trying to find a carpark, but I had no idea all of the extra forest land was back here nor that there were trails down here. I took the path to the right and made it close to GZ. I then became distracted by the waterfall location and headed over to explore. Although it wasn't flowing, it is still a beautiful little spot. Unfortunately, it meant that my phone couldn't give me any guarantee of where the location was afterwards as the GPS wouldn't settle....and everywhere was between 30-50m off from GZ. After a bit of a search I finally found the spot and signed the log book.
Thanks for showing me an amazing little spot.

Unfortunately we couldn't find this today. We resorted to previous LOGS and photos to help, pretty sure we were at the right spot but nothing. The log has caved in a bit but we scratched around hoping to no avail. A shame we couldn't find it as this place is a hidden gem. It'll be a pleasure to come back to next time.

After a find and a DNF with Monkeymaker and K8'n'co earlier on we went our separate ways and I headed over to this one. No one else about and I went for a peacful walk to GZ. Despite a thorough search in an ever widening area I was unable to locate the cache.

Wow. It's nearly been 5 years since I visited the other Scrub Bull cache in this area. Time to come back for a looksee.

The "right hand" path doesn't really stick out from the entrance does it? I motored down the hill - nearly going for a huge sixer on a small, slippery wooden bridge. I eventually arrived at GZ.

This was not as simple as I thought it would be. My phone GPSr was being extremely useless. After looking in some areas where the cache wasn't, I eventually came up with the goods.

The container seems to have been changed at some stage for a sistema. The logbook was a little damp but still signable. I put my name in and re-hid the cache as found.

Cilento Park is a beautiful area and gives you an idea what the area was like before all of the development. TFTC theyoung-1z Smile
