Found while on a short break to the Gold Coast, on this Hot spring day. Temps in the high 20's, With high humidity, so very sticky. Answers sent to CO. Some interesting art in this area**Thanks For The Earth Cache** La Kedi. This is the 3rd cache of 5 for today making a grand total of 4566 at 3:21PM on this Friday the 15th of November in the Year 2024
Thanks for the EC guys. Some very interesting sculptures in this park, not withstanding this marble. Found on a trip to qld to escape the cold down south. Cheers
Out and about for a bit of late afternoon caching. An interesting sculpture in a lovely park on a beautiful evening. Sent answers to CO. Tftc
I had booked to stay the weekend at the Gold Coast as my daughter was performing over 3 days with her team at the Dance Eisteddfod at HOTA. She had an early start on the Sunday and after dropping her off to get ready I took a walk around the markets before the performance began. I procured a cup of coffee and a bag of GF donuts and took a walk around the lake.I did a very similar thing last year when we were here and sent off the Earthcache answers to the CO. They got back to me later to let me know my answers were not correct but by then we were on our way back to Brisbane. Knowing we would be back again this year I decided to wait and try again. So today my task was simple - return to the monument and locate the correct number. Simple. Answers were resent and approval given. Wombeyan Marble Earthcache now complete! Thanks La Kedi!
Today I was down the south coast for an appointment that was not much fun. Feeling a little deflated from it all I decided to take my time and do a couple of caches to ease the pain. This was a good chance for me to get in and do a couple of multis that I seem to miss each time I am down here and with no time restrictions I was happy to plod along.Working my way home and feeling a little better I stopped off to grab a couple more before taking the rush hour traffic home. There were a few in this little area and even an earth cache wow. So I used my time wisely here and got all in the area.IN this little area I grabbed a couple of caches and also this earth cache. This was very different and unusual, but I did find it interesting . Thanks for bringing me here and answers have been sent.
Visiting here for the first time. Nice area with all the art work. Almost matches the shape it's named after with some imagination. I guess that's art for you. Answers sent to CO. Thanks.
This earthcache was what attracted me to come to this part of the world this morning while holidaying across the river at Surfers. A lovely lump of marble here that originates from an area I have visited often over the years. Thanks for showing me this interesting sculpture. Answers have been (or will be shortly) sent to the CO.
Interesting sculpture. Answers sent to CO. Doing a nice Sunday walk around the area. On a caching holiday from Mackay. In the search of old caches and ones to fill DT grid spaces. Found Thanks for placing this cache for our enjoyment.
A couple of nice quick finds in the area topped off by this earthcache. Answers sent. Found with alphag_25 while on holidays from Mackay.
Out in the rain today, trying to bag a few caches and not get too wet. On our hols from Newcastle with the geo hound and hoping for better weather before we go home! The sculpture does fit the bill in terms of shape. TFTC!
Over the ditch playing bridge and visiting my brother. Great area. Overall no but I can see the use of the shape. Thanks for a different cache. FP given
Over playing some bridge at the convention center but have plenty of time in the mornings to pick up some of the nearby caches. Thanks La Kedi for the earthcache and bringing me to this lovely island. Very interesting sculpture.
Going on a lovely stroll around the grounds I decided to do this earth cache even though I usually avoid them. This was nice and approachableA photo attached of my view gathering my answers
I am on the Gold Coast and did a quick geo mission today. Interesting sculpture and great to light another Earth Cache. TFTC.
Thanks for placing this cache. Went for a walk with the kids while in the area. Tftc
Tftc. As I wondered around the area after other caches, of course I visited this cache also. Answers sent to CO. Thank you.
Thank you very much for working out this educative Earthcache and for luring us to this interesting place which we otherwise probably wouldnt have visited !....../ ).....' /---' (_____.TFTC .
Had a lovely time at HOTA and was not left with much parking left so only this cache today but as I am chasing EC’s I’m happy

Have sent my answers to CO. Over at Hota to catch the ferry to the airshow. Lovely and peaceful over this side. There is a footbridge over the river from here to Chevron Island that doesn't show in my geocaching app - will make the walk to Surfers for the airshow that much faster. TFTC.
At HOTA for a Dance Eisteddfod today and I went for a wander in my spare time. This is a lovely little park with some interesting artwork. This sculpture reminds me of a digger bucket.
Thanks for the nice easy Earthcache La Kedi.
Thanks for the nice easy Earthcache La Kedi.
This weekend, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T), baby Cottontail and I tripped south to the Gold Coast to spend time with family. We spent the high-temperature weekend at Home of the Arts (HOTA), David Fleay Wildlife Park, and Palm Beach.
Today, we commenced the morning with Surfers Paradise parkrun at the HOTA. A scenic walk/run along beside the canals and artwork sculptures, but we really felt the heat by the end. We had a further walk around the area before returning for lunch, and then visited the David Fleay Wildlife Park in the afternoon. An enjoyable experience seeing Australian wildlife.
After finishing my parkrun, I took a cool-down walk around some of the sculptures in the vicinity, which included this EarthCache sample. The Wombeyan marble was admired, and after finding the small information plaque, answers to the questions were collected. Interesting to hear about the Woombeyan caves - perhaps I need to investigate those further. Answers were sent to the CO for verification; Thanks La Kedi and PJATPAC for the EarthCache organisation and placement.

I visited the sculpture on 06/03/2023 but only get down to attempt to answer it now.
I do agree with the stated shape of the sculpture but with its head truncated.
Thanks for this interesting Earthcache.

I think maybe this can be considered that shape if you are someone that thinks outside the..... Square? TFTC!
We were here - Joodie & Joodax
after work walk, wine and relax!
La Kedi & PJATPAC Thanks for the cache and yellow dandelion.
There are works in the world that I admire and love - road and railway bridges, lighthouses, watchtowers, transmitters, etc., when I tune into the wave of the author and quietly marvel and enjoy the moment of geometry and material matching and engineering calculations.
Well, then there's a thing like the Wombeyan Marble, when I'm standing, I can't say I don't like the statue, but I can't grasp it from either end. I have the same thing with paintings and generally with art as such. My abstract thinking is probably pretty stunted .
But that doesn't mean I'm not worth getting to know such creations. We are all different, we perceive different things differently and that is the advantage of our company...
It's great to see that Australia is giving space to artists everywhere to express themselves and make a living. Their work greatly improves the lives of others.

From Czechia with love!
Goldy is off to Gold Coast, with my friend Jimmy along for the ride on a half caching and half tourist attraction trip.
It was good to meet so many locals at our event at the Surf Life Saving Club. Truly awesome to witness the culture, traditions and vibe of a new set of people. You guys were awesome to be around!
I reached 2500 cache finds while on the trip, which was an added bonus.
The humidity though really got to me, Adelaide is freezing so I was not prepared.
A big shoutout to SaintsMadHouse who took us around a nice cache tour of the area to see some highly favourited caches as we were without a car. Love the effort Kez put in for us.
Jimmy and Goldy went separate ways today, Jimmy to Seaworld and Goldy out caching!
I took an Uber to an EarthCache I was eyeing off and walked on foot from there back to our accommodation.
I got GZ and made my observations. I'm on holiday, no time for maths. (I was never good at it anyway). 2 + 2 = 5 and that's all I need to know.
Answers sent!
Thank you for adding to my trip via this cool cache. Interesting to walk along here, very nice and peaceful.
I didn't give away anything of shape or anything in my uploaded image to leave it as a mystery for future finders. It is the stamp against the stone.
I wasn't sure of the described shape at first, until I stood in a certain spot and it became clear. A very cool EarthCache.
Thanks La Kedi and PJATPAC for this EarthCache, which brings Goldy's total find count to 2515 on the 19th of February 2023.
**South Australia is hosting a Mega! February 29th, 2024 in Adelaide. Hope to see you at The Great Leap Forward**

Found during a cycle ride around the district on a visit from Aotearoa New Zealand. Thankyou for setting it up.
An earth cache that I could figure out is the type I like the best. Thanks so much for publishing it.
It’s always good to have to engage with the art. Thanks La Kedi for putting this here
nice little stature, thanks to logging in on the computer, i could collect this cache, even without premium
Found it together with KnobiBilli, nice little park and an "interesting" sculpture
After a Ferry ride from Broadwater we looked through HOTA and Lunch. Found while waiting for the water Ferry back to Broadwater. TFTC. Answers sent.
A trip to the Gold Coast to collect some jackets, meant I could also nab a cache or two… the day started with a DNF but after that it was all smooth sailing…
I generally avoid Earthcaches… I like clean hands… but combine them with some public art and it’s another thing altogether…
Crossing the footbridge I spotted the artwork and though I had the geometric shape down… mmmmm… well… all in the eye of the artist…
Thanks for highlighting this location to me…

We were attending an event at the HOTA and even though it was cool outside, we made the short walk across to this Earthcache.
An interesting work of art. While you can obviously see the intent of the artist in creating a geometrical shape through the etching they have undertaken, the overall mass of the sculpture does make you think of another geometric shape.
Thanks heaps for this Earthcache.

I’m in quarantine thanks to covid so I’m finally catching up with my logging of earth caches. For some reason I just never quite get around to sending in the answers.
It’s a lovely day and it would be lovely to be down the coast today. Oh well only a few more days and we’re free.
I did this on our last trip to the GC. The family rested, I went caching. Was a lovely area I had never been to before.
Thanks for having an earth cache here La Kedi

I was up on the Gold Coast for a quick work trip and had a spare afternoon to look for a few local caches. The area was quite busy around here but I was able to have a look at a number of the sculptures as I wandered around the walking track including the one needed for logging this. Thanks for the cache.
Caching on the Gold Coast today.
Picking up a lab cache and a few others just for fun.
Tried to take a picture here but it was hard to keep it family friendly.

Over from Tassie on the last day of our 14-day holiday. While the family had a relax after a big day at Pacific Fair Shopping I snuck out to find a few caches.

Popped in to check out this Earthcache on the way to junior parkrun this morning.
Talk about two (or more!) birds, one stone! We got to stroll through the delicious smelling Farmer's Markets on at HOTA on a Sunday morning, check out all the new infrastructure and development here since our last visit (e.g. the new footbridge!), volunteer at junior parkrun, log the Earthcache and claim our souvenir for International Geocaching Day!
Around the lake here is truly a great spot, worthy of more visits in the future.
Thanks For The Earthcache!

Out caching with the Tough Mothers (Bennyboppers and Lisylou). Cool Earthcache. TFTC!
Found as we walked the sculpture trail. Good to see the close by pedestrian bridge across the canal. Parking was very tricky due to the opening of a new HOTA building. HNB and I
What an interesting looking sculpture here. And a very interesting and brightly coloured building nearby. It was a little grey and overcast this morning but it was good caching weather as there weren't too many people around. Thanks for the earthcache
We found Wombeyan Marble on an early evening cache run. There are some interesting sculptures in this park and as an old cacher once said. “What do
I know about art....”
Thanks La Kedi for hiding this cache so that we could come and enjoy ourselves

We don't know how we have missed this cache for so long! Took a picnic lunch and had a lovely time next to the water after collecting the information. Don't know if we like the new HOTA building or not. Nice sculpture that eludes to a geometric shape but maybe from some aspects it looks like something else. Been to the Wombeyan Caves a number of times in the 1970's. TFTC La Kedi
This is certainly a popular spot. So popular in fact that people were using the artwork to dry out their togs. We also struggled to find one of the answers because there was a lovely pair of wet shorts hanging over the plaque.
It got me to thinking how easy it must be to make any old trollop and call it art. I don’t know why they say artists are struggling to put food on the table because there are plenty of nuftys out there that will pay for your provocative creations. Even a technicolor yawn in the gutter would have some art lovers reaching for their wallets.
I will have to admit that the art-world is too cerebral for my comprehension. I struggle to tell the difference between abstract cubism and the finger-paintings that Mrs Woodyrothwell’s prep class some up with. Still I have to award a favourite point for the lesson and for the ability to pick up someone’s bikini to look at a rock. It’s the best excuse I’ve ever used. Answers sent. tftc

Lovely to come across to the name that brings fond memories to one of our favourite cave in south NSW. Great sculpture to use. Send answers and thank you for bringing us here ️
With my caching partner heading to Gympie today. I was left to myself. So what and I going to do. Decided on 9 unique types for the day. My problem was I don’t have many easy virtual to get. So Gold Coast here I come.
So my day total was, 3 Mystery , 2 Event, Wherigo, Virtual, 5 Traditional, Earthcache, Multi, Letterbox and 5 Adventure Lab. So a total of 20 caches.
I did love this park that this geocache brought me to yo.
Sorry for the generic post
Cache a day to keep the doctor away, or is it to keep me sane. No it’s to keep my streak alive. TFTC *451* streak. *2743* Finds

After walking along Surfers, I headed over to Chevron Island to locate a couple of caches. This earth Cache was interesting especially question 3. . Not sure if standing on other sides would be saying it was what plaque said. Answers forwarded. Hope ok.TFTC
A beautiful park and a lot of muggles were busy swimming while my geo-daughter and I were enjoying the gym workout. At this cache, my geo-daughter was resting on one of the gym equipment nearby while I typed the answers on my iPhone. Answers sent. Thanks La Kedi & PJATPAC for the earthcache for us to enjoy
My family comes here on holiday a lot because the in-laws live nearby and this is a favourite spot of hours for a picnic and a swim I didn’t notice the sculpture before so thanks for bringing me here
