I'm not sure this is still there, but there is a TON of trash in and around the spot.
Found some time today for a passing revisit of this previous DNF.
Meeting up with the little ones today at the new park, and after some play we went on a shortish stroll and snapped up some of the more recent (to me) hides.
Into June already and Winter is here with temperatures dropping later in the day, and curtains drawn earlier and earlier. Time to head to the 'Winterless North' - Yeah Right. A few days away up from Rangitikei and another 4 night stay at Chateau Ngunguru, the works bach. A good time to catch up with the family and grandchildren in Maungatapere, and a few trips to spend time with each other in Whangarei. Highlights of the visit; A few more Riser caches, some more 0B80B8 ones, meeting both of those COs within a few hours of each other on the Monday, and another rare Wherigo. As ever, thanks to all COs for their hides and maintenance.

Perhaps not the most inviting GZ now. I didn’t linger long to admire the aesthetics.
Thanks Riser5

I have looked for this before without success..today the town was busy as boardering on mayhem....so a little time out to cache was on the cards at GZ it was also very busy....by the looks much fun and frivolity has been had sadly it's a mess around here along with that Santa may have even moved in temporarily I suspect ...but while he was out replenishing his or her stocks ..I was lucky enough to spy the cache hanging around ....so quickly and very quietly it was signed and replaced as found then gone in a flash...thanks Riser5 for the adventure,...
We have arrived back in the north fir Christmas. We stupidly thought we'd get a park in the Warehouse / Countdown carpark- along with thousands of others. We drove out and there, right in front of us was a large parking space just for us. After fruitlessly checking out the shop we decided yo look for this cache. Just as the rain came down! It didn't last and we were across the road and in. I felt rather uncomfortable looking all around someone's "home". Luckily, nobody there. But the cache was. Thanks for the placement Riser5.
Day 2 of our three day Geocaching trip to Whangarei. This stage included a large loop to the East of Whangarei picking up solved puzzles and some Old School Caches. We signed the log as BBIC for Bruzie, BFG, Infoferret and CrystalFairy.

There’s a shopping cart in the bush… someone’s off their trolley. Found in a random spot after a few minutes. Won that one, thanks Riser5,
08:10 Day 2 of a 3 day expedition to the areas north of Auckland with Crystal Fairy and Barefootguru, (joined today by Bruzie) most logs signed as BBIC to save space and time. The focus of the trip was to find a number of puzzle caches solved over the last couple of years, plus other caches of interest we passed.
Somewhat random, but BFG spotted it.
TFTC Riser5 for placing this cache, number 11900 for me.

I'm on a road trip to the far north, attempting to complete the PWGT Tahi Geotour.
This is day four, touring around Whangarei via Cape Reinga. In the company of barefootguru, InfoFerret, and CrystalFairy. Signed logs as "BBIC" for brevity.
Will expand on my logs, post photos, qualifying caches for challenges, etc. When I get home. TFTC
A bit of stumbling around before BFG spotted it.

Sunday only one business open so less stares from muggles. I had to pretend I was taking photos of the reflections.

Zigzagging across town collecting early morning cache finds. This was a nice quick stop and we had a giggle at the final once it all fell into place!! TFTC

Back to whangarei in 2022. Pleased to remove another blue sad face into yellow.
Thanks for cache maintenance. Was an easy find this time.

Joint FTF 2043 1/11/2021 on new log and cache with Yvettetb, in the dark when the carpark was less busy and no muggles to spot us. Thanks Riser5 for the new cache.
Thanks Riser5 for the new cache, joint FTF with Nessvab at 8.43pm, found and signed tonight. Quick park and grab, decided to come at night when no muggles around.
Cache was still hiding in place.
Replaced with new cache and dry log, on tree.

Searched pretty much every option at/near GZ, nothing found. Might need a CO check please.
Unfortunately logging a DNF today. To clever for us. Will have to try again another time.
Found this one after a second attempt! Wow that one took some time to find. Log was unusable so I put a fry piece of paper in it to write on. TFFC
After a DNF here previously I found this quicker than a rat up a drain pipe. Which surprised me so my geo eye must have been tuned in. TFTC
Found it when picking up some paint fromWynn's. Looked at a few different ones but finally came across it. Nice disguise on the outside. Thanks for the hide
This cache took a bit of finding. When I found it, at 1220Hr on 5 April 2019, besides having a soggy log, my GPS said it's coordinates were 4m out: try S35°43.774 E174°19.543.
Perhaps it was my GPS that was out?!?

Parked up in the motorhome by the river, came along here on the bicycle mid afternoon. Reasonably quite near GZ. After a short search came up trumps. Neat camo, TFTC
One of my trickier finds so far, lots of trees to check. Unfortunately lots of rubbish around so took some home with me.
Thought I would grab this being in the area to keep up my streak. Arrived at GZ had a quick look a there's the cache. Nice camo! had a bit of trouble getting the lid back on but fine apart from that. Nice bit of shade under the tree's as well on such a hot day. TFTC.
Log is soaked have replaced log, log is now in a small plastic bag inside cache.

Off on an evening exercise jaunt through town. Been to Wynn Frasers plenty of times, but never been past the shop to the rivers edge. Used the good clues provided and was soon able to locate the nicley camo'd cache. TFTC
We attempted to grab this one but when we drove up to site it appears that to muggles where having coitus in a truck nearby or atleast that's what it looked like. Came back an hour or so later to find the place was empty. Once GZ was located we checked the trees surrounding and were quickly able to find. Nice camo. Tftc
You know what they say, third time lucky. Well this was more like 8th time lucky, not sure hiw this eluded me so long as I found it almost straight away today. Tftc
Picking up.some sparkplugs so had another look encouraged by the last two logs. Finally not too blind, lol TFTC
a bit trickier to find in the fading light but soon in hand once I found the right spot. never knew these shops were here. tftc
Being a Anzac weekend Sunday, the place here wasn't that busy at all. So I parked at the rear and just waltzed into the bushes, after a short search I found the cache and signed away, then away I went. The inlet here was at full tide and it looked quite nice with the ducks there.
Needed some epoxy resin from Wynn's so had another quick look for this one but all I found was a gypsy moth trap. Too many muggles to skulk around the bushes lol sure miss my furry caching buddy! Good company & always made a good excuse for odd activity... .
A quick dive under the bushes soon had this one in hand. My brother worked for Repco here for a while before our local Repco came up with enough hours. Promised ourselves a coke after this cache, so we're off across the road for a quick thirst buster before continuing our caching day. Cool camo, TFTC
All quiet at GZ after hours, pretty cool camo, blends in nicely so it was a Wynn Wynn here for us today, TFTC.
It took a bit to figure out how to get closer to GZ, but once there the cache was easily found. TFTC.
12.30pm. Had a DNF when it was not in place. Thanks for putting it back so I found it this time.
Thank you. David.

Cache was still in the area, had fallen under the leaf litter. Replaced in the correct place.
The following cache was attempted as part of KiwiFruitsNZ trip back to Auckland - involving attempting Riser5's GB1 series - after a well deserved long weekend away. A road trip that we managed to stretch to 9 hours instead of the regulation 3 hours - due to caching (planned) and holiday traffic (not planned!)
2nd DNF for the day, but judging by the previous logs (something we checked after looking for 5 mins!!!) we were not alone in our unsuccessful attempt!

Nice wee find while nearby sorting paint . Felt a bit uneasy when I popped back out of the bushes as some muggles in a nearby car. Nice smile and off I headed .
Find was definitely made easier as in Mr tikitours company while others waited in car - yep - Sunday pm a good quiet time to do this one - Thanks MM
I first attempted this one wet Monday night when I came in to pick my daughter up and thought it shouldn't be too hard. Well grabbed the torch from the car then found it didn't work, so went to change the batteries to find I had the wrong size. So using a key ring torch and the phone, I attempted (note: attempted) to find the cache. Headed towards what I thought was GZ only to meet a possum who made a hasty retreat back up his tree. It then tried to pee on me!!! Argh!!
So after spending half an hour here, searching all the likely hides, I had to admit defeat and retreat back to the car (and the fact the teenager was texting where are you, you're late!).
Back for another attempt tonight, armed with a torch with new batteries and full of information gleaned from the logs. Well, after another 45 min search, I texted a friend for help. Luckily for me he was in the neighbourhood! So after a quick catch up, he lead the way in and straight to the cache! Man do you know how frustrating that is when you've been looking and feeling and you still didn't see it!
So with all frustrations over and more grey hair in place, TFTC!

All the shops were closed late on Sunday afternoon so we could have a good hunt around until we located the cache. Great camo and the tree wasn't the obvious one (or two). TFTC.
Quick run out after the family had left to find my cache for the day. Thought this would be a quiet time with both the businesses closed, we were the only people there so able to have a good look. Good camo....TFTC
(584) New what type of camo to look for, so had cache in hand pretty quickly. TFTC
Up in Whangarei for the night so as to see a Rep in the morning so a little bit of night caching was the order of the evening.
Like a previous logger it was left of where I had started looking Got there in the end thank goodness

I won around about 7:30 this morning, took a while to locate, cache was more to the left than expected.Good shop and the folks there are friendly and helpful.TFTC.
I suggest you up the difficulty rating... Looked for a good quarter of an hour under every tree and bush.
