We found the obvious hiding place for a cache container including a stone "cover" however there was no cache to be found anywhere in the likely hiding places at GZ. After spending 10 minutes searching under the gaze of the travelling public on busy Kiripaka Road I would be pretty sure that this one has gone missing.
I'm travelling around NZ for 7 weeks, using geocaching as my travel-planner. I was so lucky to be offered to stay overnight with thegreatauk and his mom, and that also meant that I could go crazy geocaching with thegreatauk. We had a big day today, we left the house at 6.45am and came back 10.45pm. We started off with the Tiger-caches, then we walked up to Mt Manaia and finished off with the SpotX. We had plans to go to Peach Cove and Eagle Rock as well, but we didn't have the time (or energy) for that. A great day with lots of beautiful scenery and caches.
About this cache:
The first cache of the day. No problem with muggles this time of day, so it was a quick find. Tftc

found quickly on the way back from a walk at A H Reed park. nice to see a big cache. I dropped a nice travel bug here as well.TFTC
Easy find, good access from chair, just consider safely where to park, watch for muggles. tftc.
A quick drive by on our way to AH Reed Park. Surprised this is a difficulty 3, it was a very easy find, thanks
Wanted a drive by and this was unexpectedly easy. Not much traffic around either! Tftc
Easiest difficulty three ever I think though I can see why you need to be careful as it is a very exposed spot. Some muggles were chatting across the street so geowife provided the cover while I made the retrieval. Nice sized cache so dropped a couple of toy soldiers and on our way again. Thanks for the cache.
Out for a quick evening jog and maybe locate some caches. Certainly very open here, but late in the evening, there wasn't so much traffic. TFTC
Na het bezoek aan de watervallen waren we de rivier verder gevolgd. Maar nu moeten we dus weer teruglopen naar het beginpunt. Gelukkig onderweg afleiding in de vorm van deze cache.
TFTC.

Whangarei to Kaikohe
We spent a delightful day driving through the rolling country side.
A great variety of locations & hides were found. Left a TB here
Thanks for placing this cache Riser5

Heading back towards Onerahi after a day caching at Whangarei Heads and Glenbervie. Parked a little down the road and walked back. Only one place this cache could be do it was quickly found. TFTC
Catching up with a few caches on our way out to AGPU for the Hash harriers. This was a surprise and so out in the open too, today being Sunday muggle activity was reduced so just waited for the right times as cars went by. Cache soon in hand and log signed. Thanks for the cache.
This was a very clever hide. Neat to have such a big hide in plain view of muggles. Managed to get it subtly between traffic. Enjoyed this one, thanks
After a leisurely lunch, we stayed indoors until about 4pm, when the temperatures had cooled a little, before setting out to find a few more caches before dinner.
No trouble finding it early on a Saturday evening. No pedestrians and just a few cars. TFTC.

Very busy traffic along here today - many people going back to work I guess. Nice easy 3 star - Many thanks!
I'm up in my home town of Whangarei for the holiday period and headed out this morning to the Parua Bay area, and found a few caches while there. This was a nice quick drive-by along the way, and not many muggles around either. TFTC!
TB out.

Very surprised this one has withstood muggle invasions! Clever idea for naming this cache!
Last morning up this part of the country so a final chance to grab some caches before work in the morning. This presented itself as a nice little trail and so it was.
Having completed the tiger trail I decided to collect a few others, this was located in moments before beginning the journey back to my hotel
Thank you for the placement

Hah hah hah. First thing I noticed was the title of cache page then street name! A fav from me just for that! Easy pickin's this cache, seems the whole neighbourhood was very quiet, this wet, cold Anzac Monday. No-one was around.
Here from Auckland for work....so doing some exploring around Whangarei, Nice quick find
A quick grab while on the way past... oh no! The mowers parked up right in front while away signing the log! But luckily they went inside the neighbouring property's fence to do some yardwork... swapped an extag for a lanyard. TFTC
Thanks from Gravelking
Found it together with juriga on our NZ journey.
Nice place.

On our way to the Falls, could not resist a quick stop for a cache on our side of T Road.... Gosh I lived so close, in Hinau St!
A quick find, SL and a stealthy replacement was harder to achieve than the find. TFTC Riser5!
