I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.

Unfortunately ... COVID 19 makes fixing this impossible. Will go about whatever to unarchive once life gets back to normal.

Well, if you read the logs PPRASS found the original geocache from 2018. I changed the co-ords, then realised after PPRASS was kind enough to message more info, that that was probably the original cache and the co-ordinates I changed to are the second lot of old ones.

Due to COVID lock down, we can't cross the border to do any maintenance so have disabled until we can get back down to Lismore to see the family.

Sad

23-Aug-20
EDIT: Just checked the photo that PPRASS uploaded. I think that is the original cache that went missing around 2018. Your like a terrier, amazing work.

I am impressed PPRASS the co-ords have been changed as per instructions. It is also down for maintenance as missing.

COVID has prevented that, as we can't travel interstate at the moment.

Last log said missing, and it is a super easy find.

You guys deserve the Gold Award for persistence .... you must have had an old download.

We will fix the cache as soon as the border restrictions are lifted.

BE SAFE .... and carry on caching.

Now this is a troubled little cache!
We stopped here to eat out lunch and then go over to find the cache which was an interesting experience.
First of all the co-ords on the cache page were 138 metres out. We then learned that there was a description addition to advise of a change to the co-ords! Now that is not how to change the co-ords. The CO needs to know about the basic "change co-ords" log that is available so that the posted co-ords are changed.
Then at GZ we were frustrated at those nasty spiky bushes that have caused so much harm in the past. We looked and looked and then went to the hint- and what Sign?
We eventually saw a hole in ground and thought - that is where a sign may have been. We dug deep into the ground and suddenly felt something metallic - it was an Eclipse tin - yeah we found it, but wait! As we opened it we found a mush of paper. Water had entered the container, the lid has rusted off and it was a mess Sad
Sorry - but we didn't have a write in the rain log sheet to go in there as a replacement as the cache is going to get saturated every time it rains.
Thanks Ian&Tracey.
Feedback: You need to change the hint as there is no longer any sign there, update the co-ords on the cache page and as soon as this blasted COVID-19 pandemic passes, to go back there and change the hide.

It appears the cache may have gone missing. As it is a super easy find and there is a DNF.
Will put it on "maintenance". IF someone else finds it can you let me know.

Unfortunately COVID prevents us coming to replace/repair, so it might be a while. HERE Is hoping the borders open again soon.

We now live in beautiful Hervey Bay, but visit often to see family.

I decided that when the COVID restrictions ease we must do a road trip. Bev50 and NikkiRB are my constant caching companions so when I mentioned it to them on Facebook we got a ring in pop up wanting to come. None other than LizBeth1998.

Between LizBeth and I we sorted out where we were going to go and then with the help of GSAK LizBeth plotted the route. 58 GC caches and then we added a couple of GA's to top it off.

We were on a mission - Nikki got her #100, Bev50 was on her way to fulfilling #200, I wanted to achieve #300 and LizBeth was going to get her #500. Well 3 outta 4 aint bad, darkness beat Bev to getting her #200 by 10 caches but that is ok because we will be out and about as soon as the border opens.

Hardly got out of the car and one of the group had found it. nice and easy

On a caching adventure with GayeNT, Lizbeth1998 and Bev50. Thank you for your cache

28-Jun-20
Caching in Lismore and surrounds today with GayeNT, NikkiRB and Bev50. Left Tweed Heads at 8:30am to start caching by 9:30am, finished caching for the day at 5:30pm.

We had an aim for 55 or more finds today. This was the 18th (my 11th find) find of 51 (plus 2 GCA caches) caches we looked for. We ended up with 6 DNFs and 45 finds (2 GCA finds) which was an amazing effort!

Nice quick park and grab. Names on log and replaced as we found.

Out today, trying to obtain all these clues for the ‘summer’ promo....
I’m now trying to gain all the last 35 caches, which is harder due to the distance I have cleared.

Parked nearby and made a quick find with this bold hide.
Cheers

Coordinates changed to:
S 28° 48.426 E 153° 15.612

Distance from original: 441.1 feet or 134.5 meters.

As the signpost the cache was on has been removed and there was no really suitable place IN the park, it is now nearby

Geocache was FOUND 2nd May - and needed maintenance..... I guess someone didn't close the lid properly.

Will have to get there and check it out as there are now two DNF....

05-May-19
We couldn't find anything Sad we had a fairly thorough look. It would be great if geocaches had levels of hints starting with cryptic and hard and then stagger to easier clues for more casual geocachers who are doing it with young kids Smile

I was driving through town fairly early this morning so decided on a whim to try find a cache. This was the closest to me so I navigated my way to the park here. I parked by the playground and wandered over, spying quite a few walkers and a couple of yoga doers as I went.
The cache was a nice easy find and I managed to find a blank bit of space to put my name in the log.
Thanks for the cache, I recall visiting the nearby bowling club at some stage, so this was my second visit here Smile

Nice park for kids

Great find, busy park so need to be a bit sneeky or come at a quieter time. Geo kids had a great play in the park. Thank you for bringing us here.

From the nearby horsey store's carpark,
I wandered to GZ enjoying the lack of muggles in this park Big Grin
But me enjoyment turned to horror as I got closer !! [:o]
There's a busy kid's playground on the other side of the hedgerow Sad

Well at least I could see where the cache would likely be Razz
So I wandered past anyway.
Pretending to be looking at the trees,
I spied the cache nearby and soon had it in paw Big Grin

Logbook signed,
nobody paying any attention to me,
I put the cache back,
and wandered off Big Grin

Phew !! That went well Smile

Off for a mini road trip. Lismore is the destination, but a few detours on the way for caches. I had finally reached my goal and after lunch I set out to hunt for a few caches on Evie the geocycle.

This one needs some TLC. The lid is broken and does not stay on well at all. I had two goes at it when I put it back, so I hope it keeps the rain out.

25-Aug-18
We are heading home tomorrow, way down south, and as we returned from Casino I felt we should find at least one cache in Lismore so pulled over for this one. A short walk took us to the one place it could be and I reached for it and signed the log, which is falling apart but still usuble. Thanks Ian&Tracey for the hide in this busy park.

Decided to grab a few caches on my lunch break today. This was #3 on the list. Lucky I'm over 6' or this one might have been tricky. Had the cache in hand and logbook signed in no time. On the way back to my car, one of the local kids offered to swap his bike for my car. He was disappointed when I declined. Thanks for the cache!

As others have said, it can be vertically challenging. I went to do maintenance. Someone replaced it about 2" higher than I had it.

I can't reach it as I am a little vertically challenged. SO I hope the log is OK.

Visiting Lismore to see family. Whilst waiting for them at the park I have grabbed this. Easy find but being vertically challenged my muggle daughter grabbed it for me Smile

I TRIED to replace the log.... someone has popped it back in a safer spot about two inches to the right of where I had it.

I can't reach it LOL.... SO if you are vertically challenged, I am 163cm (5' 4 ish in the old scale), you won't be able to access the cache to sign the log....

SORRY .....

Hope you enjoy the park all the same

With the rising temperature we decided to base ourselves at the Casino RV Base (which is quite similar to where to live). This is a great base and today we cached around Lismore. This was one of the caches we targeted and found. Nicely done. Thankyou Ian&Tracey for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area Big GrinBig Grin
