Visiting Nelson today, and out with a local cacher who is kindly driving me around. A nice quick find here, TFTC
We've driven passed this cache quite a lot but haven't bothered stopping. Today was the day! I made this a longer and harder search by not seeing and using the bridging object initially. TFTC
Love this one. Took a bit longer than it should to have found this cache.
Found with Nzbirder.

2nd time ive come looking for this. Straight to it today. However i dropped my phone and spent abput 10m looking for it. TFTC
found with kjj162. well this took longer to locate than it should of jumped right out at me tftc
Very camoflaged but very clear to see, he is out in the open when we visited. All very dry at present and easy to extract with a shake rattle and roll, nice one, worth a favourite drom us, thanks miss chick.
Luckily there was a lifeline in the swamp! Cool cache, we had fun locating it and keeping dry! TFTC!!
I got a whisper from the CO at the recent GIFF event, so I returned today to make the find. No idea how I missed this one before. TFTC.
Third of the day, and this took a moment or two to spot. In the end, it was right in front of me in plain view while I decided whether I should shimmy left or right.
TFTC Paddle chick.
A break in the wet weather, and after spending the bulk of the day with RG72 it was time to head off home.
But a bit earlier than normal.
RG had a Big brothers Big sisters meeting with her new mentee, so I got an hour or so to do a wee loop and find some caches before hitting the road and over the hill.

This one took 3 attempts for us, a nice hide. Thanks for the help and the cache.
Cache check, all good. Container has faded an now merges into the environment nicely. Added a hnt
I ventured over the swamp to catch up with this Croc. Cheers.
With the weather looking better on this side of the divide than Marlborough , I headed over the hill for the CITO at Tahuna. Still lots of daylight after the event and with shopping sorte,d I went exploring for a few green boxes in the vacinity before returning home.. Thankfully the weather played ball. Met drizzle at Rai then the rains and wind descended as I was entering Picton. Glad to be home.

Very cool geo!!! Nephew thought it was real and jumped out of the bush so fast haha
When the husbands away the wives will play haha - Straight out the door for a Saturdays geocaching adventure with Missnboyz. Searched for a while here and then Melissa shouts "i see it its a ........"! Well my heart leap out my chest and then i realised we are not in Australia and my life is not in imminent danger. Wooah haha! Couldn't find a log here however but think the resident mouse has pinched it to build a nest. Replacement log added. TFTC FP awarded.
Crickey look out shellsadventure Love the great hide ... we saw a resident mouse who may have taken the log to make a warm nest. Replaced with a new log. Tftc.
We Dipped a trackable in this Geocache. It was cool and TFTC, but there was no logbook inside
Thanks paddle chick for another nice one!
One of these caches you pass by often but don't stop. Well, actually I did stop once but couldn't find it and left - now that I found it I guess I was just looking at the wrong features.
This time it was a quick find and a good laugh.
The logbook container is so deep inside that even tweezers won't really help.
But this is definitely a fun one to find! Thanks for something a little bit different

We are about to move into level 2 and caching will be allowed from midnight tonight so I'm reactivating my caches. Happy and safe caching
New Zealand is under Level 4 lockdown because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
I am disabling all my caches for the meantime to remind people that we MUST break the chain of infection.
Covid-19 is now being spread within the community, person to person. We know that the virus will remain on surfaces like metal and plastic for up to 4 days.
We have only one chance to stop the Covid-19 virus spreading further. This is to BREAK the chain of infection by keeping each household separated completely. During this time each of us MUST keep isolated and only share with the people in our own household.
The best advice is to act as though you are infected... which you might be.
If you touch a cache container, you will leave viruses on the plastic, logbook and pen. Those will remain infectious for up to 4 days. Suppose some other person finds the cache tomorrow. They are likely to pick up those viruses and will get infected.
Playground equipment is out of bounds for exactly that reason- touching surfaces can spread infection.
Each of us has to do our bit to save lives. If the Covid-19 virus spreads, a lot of us will die. Maybe your grandmother, or my 9 year old neice who has who has an autoimmune disease
Stay home, stay safe, let's get to the other side of the pandemic before we go geocaching again.

back for about my fifth visit over the years. Located the cache on the 4th visit but log eluded me. Back today when want to up the finds for the day and it still was a struggle to retrieve and replace log. Worth a Fav TFTC
Very fun find, also lots of fun creatures habitating here!
Clever hide, thanks for the effort you put into your caches. Log almost full. TFTC

Out to pick up some caches missed on a previous visit. Very apt, you don't see too many of those in this country. Couldn't extract the log to sign.
Wen't back to this one today after a previous DNF. Didn't take long since we knew where we'd already searched. Got the cache but didn't have the right equipment to retrieve logbook. Thanks paddle chick for the well themed hide.
TregearP and I have driven past here many times but always been against the clock for one reason or another.
Today I had a few minutes so managed to find a suitable park and began the search.
Ha ha. Seriously good camo - I'd scanned the area as missed it looking for some of the more traditional visual clues of a hide. Subliminally I registered the shape and expected it to be something different but when I looked directly immediately twigged.
Getting it out was a bit like some of those fishing expeditions when the fish swallows the entire hook and you need to extract the hook from its throat.
Got there in the end, signed log and replaced as found. All in good order. Thanks paddle chick for an entertaining cache and have an FP.

Out for a couple of easy finds on the First day of the new year. Not quite a park and grab took a bit to find, great container TFTC
We are on a family holiday to Nelson.
We had tea and there was a window of opportunity to head out and hunt for smilies. Nobody wanted to join me. So I am going solo.
It was hard to find in the dark but a cool container.

Out on a stunning days bike ride and a loop connecting the two bike trails. Nice hid and surprisingly well camouflaged . Signed as JTS. Thanks for the cache.
We had sussed this one out several months ago, and we decided to leave it for a day that we might need a quick find. This was the day. Thanks paddle chick for the cache
out with Red Roaming as we tour the world but spending the most time in New Zealand. Logs signed DD & RR or with our full caching names. The weather is lovely
today. We are staying in Nelson for a couple of nights and today are going to Rabbit island among other places. this was soon discovered by RR and yes she needed tweezers! TFTC
apologies for the cut and paste logs.

Quick find of this fun and appropriate cache container - had no problem extracting cache and log due to the fact that we always carry tweezers as well as pens. Many thanks
Travelling around the world with Dartmoor Deliverer to help her celebrate taking early retirement!
NB Dont forget our Devon UK Mega 2017 GC6JZNY this August in the beautiful East Devon area of our county. UK Megas are over one week full of events and geocaching - a wonderful way to enjoy our county!

We came here before but it was wet and slippery and we missed the cache. How could that happen? Today we went straight to it. Great cache thanks paddle chick.
Good find this evening, interesting cache area.
Had to look twice before attempting to go near it, made one laugh when knew what it was.

#2810. After attending a funeral in Blenheim yesterday, I decided to spend the night in Nelson and give myself a chance to make start on the very large numbers of caches in this region. By 4pm when I dropped off the rental car at the airport, I had managed to find 37 caches between Nelson and Motueka (plus one more cache in Wellington to fulfil the requirements for the "North and South Island in One Day Challenge" GC5RJFK). Parked the car opposite and soon found the young crocodilian but took forever to get the stomach contents up to the mouth. Had to race back to the car for an extraction tool for the cache. Signed the log and replaced the cache as found. Nicely themed cache. Well done. Thanks for hiding the cache here.
Ah very cool, I'd been here before quickly but somehow missed it. No problems today, good hide thanks very much!
I am so used to having the GPS in my hand when we are caching, I find I am lost when hubby is using it. Never mind he seems to be getting the hang of it although we were a wee way out with the co-ords at this cache.
What a beast - so glad it's tethered! Log is full so we signed over the top of another entry.
Wasn't ready for this one and so very ferocious but firmly held in place, took a bit of finding but finally drained the swamp and had it cornered. A really nice creation worthy of a fav.
The log is now full and would have replaced it but had no spares. Thanks for your cache, good fun.

As we first read about this cache we couldn't figure out what we will see at GZ.
But then...
Cool.

Parking was a little issue with motorhome. Quiet road however. No luck in the find.
TFTC. Up in this lovely part of the world for a weekend with my fab girlfriends. However that kicks off tomorrow - what could I possibly do today????
I decided to focus on a few caches around Richmond and Brightwater on this beautiful sunny day.
I signed the log 29.11.15 by mistake it was the 27.11.15.
I looked here and there, then there and here with no joy, admitted defeat, took two steps towards the car and thought NO just one more look.and then Immediately targeted in on the cache.
A favourite vote from me.
Thanks Paddle chick for placing this cool cache.

First find of the day. I'd stopped for a look back at Christmas time, but had to flag it due to passenger unrest. On my own this trip so no worries there. It wasn't as swampy as I was expecting today, Spotted something that peaked my interest and soon had things sorted. Cheers and TFTC
don't know how many time I have been here for this one but I has a good clue this time so soon had it sorted, the log was surprisingly quick to get in and out, thanks to the last placer as it could have been real bad, maybe hes not so hungry these day
