We had a plan today to pick up as many well favourited caches as possible and if they included Wingaap placed caches then all the better. So off to the Crown at Dayboro and work our way home. We also were on a secret mission which should be successful.Samford valley was very relaxing despite the pressure to find the favorites. This cache may not not be quite i its original position but still in perfect condition. Thanks for the Cache
A beautiful piece of Wingaap art with a log book to sign. On a mission to ensure a souvenier is achieved by the artist. Thanks for a great cache.
After two nights festival camping with the youngest child, we decided to take the scenic route home via Mt Mee and Dayboro. It just so happens that there were a few geocaches along the way. I had to be selective as someone was tired and just wanted a nap and a home shower. The 10 year old was feeling a similar way.
The promise of a pie at the Dayboro bakery was undone due to Christmas trading hours, so I was on shaky ground with my clandestine caching agenda, so Wingaap caches it had to be.
I had marked a few archived caches on a list and we tried to find three of these today. Two successes and one fail.
This was the final one attempted. There was a good pull over area right near the cache. There was a little walk to find the right access point but once we started the ascent, the walk to the cache was easy, not overgrown considering the last find was over a year ago.
Loved the container, and like todays previous find, this brought back wonderful memories of when my companions older brother and I started caching many years ago.
This log book was also in great shape. Our name was entered and it was returned as found and we were on the way to the Samford bakery.
Thanks very much for the cache creation Wingaap. Your caches never fail to impress and we are determined to track down a few more. Cheers.

This one has been exterminated!!! Loving the well worn geo trails as I can’t trust my goal. Tftc
Geocaching in the last part of the afternoon this was the next in line. Finding access this one took a tiny bit longer to spot but relatively quick and we were happy to sign the log before replacing all as found. Cheers and thanks whovian.
TFTC. We had started the day with a Barb caches as we travelled the local roads after the Mega. WE were heading back to Dayboro stopping along the routes collecting more smilies. Very impressed by these hides
We made the decision to spend another week at the Dayboro showgrounds to give ourselves the opportunity to find more of the many caches that have been placed in the area. Finally the rain has nearly become non existent and bar for one short heavy burst it has been a rain free day. The area is still showing signs of all the rain we have had recently with the creek flowing fast and in places the roads are covered. We found all of the caches that we attempted today but one. SL TFTC
Tftc whovian , walked an extra few metres to go up a gentle slope, direct route is not always easiest.
Thanks for adding to our enjoyment of the game

Today with Day 3 of the Dayboro Mega event (final Easter weekend day), I returned back to Dayboro to attempt a solo yet full day of finding the various solved *Geosaurus* and *We* ?? *Geo* geoart, as well as any other interesting cache types. Time was spent south around Samsonvale, north-east around Mount Pleasant, and east around Rush Creek. The rain continued to fall, but it came in patches that still allowed some pleasant geocaching, yet somehow the rain knew when I was farthest from the car, for which it then fell heavily. I met a few more Geocachers during the day, and as I finally lost light, it was time for the final closing ceremony of the Mega, and an opportunity to get dry from the day's activities.
During my travels around the vicinity, I made a stop here, and the cache was a reasonably quick find. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. I loved the cache construction, including the slot for the inner container - nice work! Thanks Whovian aka. wingaap for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Found at 1:01:00 PM GAFF1 in the company of maccamob.
I think this is the last of the "Barb" series for us and once again we had to ignore the T rating and go where we didn't expect to go.. Tough conditions up there - especially in this wet weather, but the familiar holder for the cache was spotted from a distance and then it was just a matter of pushing through the tangled branches and grass to get to it.
Thanks wingaap

Found by Mary and David, in company with pprass, at 13:00. This blended well with its background, and so took a little longer to find. Our thanks to wingaap.

Offered a spare seat on a roadtrip with The Rats and Wilbert67 to the Dayboro Mega, jumped at the chance to accept, and together with Steeba (who flew up), we joined forces to become “the Gong Gang” over the Easter weekend. Aside from the rain and threats of last minute border restrictions, it turned into 2500km of fun, finds and adventures. Thanks to the Gang for the invite, company and shared solves/searches and all the COs for the smiley opportunities. Apologies for the generic log (unless further comments required) but we got through a LOT!! ??
Found this cache as part of our Easter long-weekend road trip to the Dayboro mega event. A great adventure and plenty of finds, teamed up with Wilbert, Mizmaz and steeba for this roadtrip.
Many of our logs are signed with "Gong gang" to represent all four of us who were present. Apologise for the boiler style log.
Not the best day for caching due to the weather but we still had fun slipping n sliding.
Thanks for the cache.

Second day of mega and the weather turned off. We are still out there and caching, just getting wet, but thats all part of the game. A lot of caches found again in the Dayboro area before we left in the afternoon.

Haha love it.
So cool to have made it to the Mega now to get the caches we spent months solving and other nearby caches.
On a trip north to get to Dayboro with Kittykatch, Isopeda and Barb2e. Been lots of fun and laughs.
Signing via stamp as Capital Crunchers.

Just picking up some caches for the afternoon while attending the Dayboro mega. TFTC.
Rainy day so not too much happening today but I still have to find a few. Dodging puddles and ditches with water but I still got a few caches. Log signed and cache replaced as found. TFTC
On a dismal and wet afternoon we worked out a caching run with ilook4geo which included a mix of traditional, challenge and puzzle caches. All containers were OK and each log was dry. Sometimes full caching names were used and sometimes it was just initials. Thanks go to the CO for placing this cache, which was a pleasure to find.
Found with Joolay, Kittykatch and Isopeda on day 3 of the Dayboro Mega. Loved the variety of the puzzles, multies and labs to do. More fun camo. Signed as Capital Crunchers. Tftc
Attended the Queensland MEGA at Dayboro and finding a few older caches too. These are a super series of caches. Quickly found, log signed and cache replaced as found. TFTC
Dayboro trip. Day 9. The first full day of the Mega proper dawned and with it the formal opening was observed early in the morning. We then broke into team to spend th3e day caching, targeting the several geo-art series in the vicinity of Dayboro. I was joined by Fitzy_1965, MinnieK, Nibblericecakes and Gliss. There were showers on and off all day, but the caching went well, with only a few small breaks when it was too wet. It was great to see all the caches in place and despite some of them being fun and tricky, the pre-mega puzzle solving effort was well rewarded.
Thanks.

24,093. Found with minniek on our Dayboro QLD MEGA Adventure trip. For today we also cached with albida33, Nibletricecakes and GLISS! to form and sign as MiNiFiGAS!
With the sudden COVID outbreak in Queensland putting the Mega in doubt we decided to head up to the New South Wales / Queensland border hoping that it would still go ahead, and with the announcement that things were mostly returning to normal we decided Plan A still looked good. Day 4. An early start today with an aim of caching our way through some of the Geo-Art around Dayboro (all being pre solved) plus various bonus caches along the way This was the first stop for the day. We parked nearby this one for a quick find at GZ. Signed the log as MiNiFiGAS!, replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next one.
Thanks whovian !! Please forgive the generic logs.

Easter trip away with fitzy_1965 for the cacheQLD Dayboro Mega.
After the Mega Opening Ceremony, we teamed up with nibletricecakes, GLISS! & Albida33, signing logs as MiNiFiGA's. Today was the day to put our puzzle solving hard work to the test. We did not let the persistent rain dampen our spirits, tackling the Horse, Pacman & part of the We <3 Geo Geo-art trails and any others in-between. Then ended the day with a Round 5 win in the Trivia Night.
All caches were found in good condition unless otherwise stated.

Signed today as MINIFIGA! as I teamed up with GLISS! Minniek, Fitzy_1965 and Albida33 to tackle some counties, trails, oldies and interesting caches. Great to be finally in Queensland with our eyes on the Mega Prize. It was a wet day today but we still managed to grab a lot of caches as we navigated the rain and puddles.
This is the first Mega we have had in Australia in over a year. We have navigated lockdowns, mouse plagues, floods and the dreaded Covid to get here. So wonderful to be able to be out caching in Queensland. Such a privilege. Thanks for the cache.

I was heading back towards home now and picking up a few traditionals. This was a quick find after getting up to the right elevation. Thanks for the cache
On our way to Dayboro we took a detour by Sommerset Dam a few nights camped here with the Snakepitters & also my muggle brother who has kindly lent us his tinny for the few days.
We found this cache on our way home from rounding up a few horses.
This was a cache that hubby wandeed off to do on his own, I didn't see it at all but he said that it was worthy of a FP
Thankyou wingaap for placing this cache.
This one took a little longer to find as we were searching a few metres off. In the end persistence always pays off and we had the cache in our hands. TFTC
Had swimming carnival today, which is always pretty full on, so I was after a nice quiet cache today in terms of both driving to and finding without muggles galore. So this fitted my every wish.
Plenty of cars on the road during the drive, but magical when I pulled to the side, not a single car came past until I was back at my drivers door. Sweet!
With my daily mischief managed it was time for home and a well deserved nap.

Walked right past this not spotting it until I backtracked. another clever creation. TFTC
A nice quick find once I started looking in the right area. I’d exhausted the options where my GPS was pointing so expanded the area to find I’d walked straight past it early on. Another fabulous creation. TFTC wingaap
After quite thoroughly searching the GZ that our three GPSrs led us to, we decided to expand the search. As we turned and headed back the way we had come, we instantly spotted something that looks like it needs to be exterminated! Another lovely construction, and a great tribute.

Ah, gotta love International Earthcache Day - gets you out and about! Today we team up with Grannysmith1947 and Miss Millie to add some more caches in an enjoyable romp around the Lake.

Second stop for this afternoon and as Bedmaker had mentioned 3 weeks ago the smell of the unfortunate roo's scattered around GZ made this one a definite grab and run. Only one of the Geokids was brave enough to venture from the enclosed car to grab this with me. Another work of art by the great Wingaap but sadly we did not hang around long enough to enjoy his work. TFTC
On arrival near GZ it appeared the 'Exterminators' had done exactly that to a couple of Skippy's. I had to walk by two unfortunates on my way to GZ and one smelt like he'd been there a few days.
At GZ the smell lingered so it was a quick sign of the log book so I could get back to fresh air.

I had given up... and it wasn’t until I turned round to return to the car that I spotted this bespoke cache... I considered moving it closer to my co-ordinates but decided against it... tftc... have another fave point for a good dedication Cache...
Another great cache on way home from work. Nice and quick but slightly round about to get to it as I don't go straight up even small cliffs
TFTC
What a great series but very scary to attempt pulling off the road with a speed limit of 100k’s & at most times being tailgated. So glad to have completed these as my nerves are shot. TFTC
Very quick find in this series. Love the cache guardians. Davros nowhere to be seen thankfully. Tftc
This was one of our many finds today as we went on a caching binge to get our numbers up in 2020 and try and get our daily find stats up a little higher also. This was not a quick find however it was an easy retrieval, something that could not be said for some of our other finds today. TFTC from the inspectorrexteam. Cache was about 20 metres away from given co-ords and was hanging around, we think it may have been moved.
Out today with Chamad and Team Tyrrell chasing down a few caches on the far side of Lake Samsonvale for the day.
We met up at the first cache out by Cedar Creek and we all got into the one car and we headed off to collect many more.
We had a great day out hunting in this beautiful scenic area.
