Archiving as it keeps going missing and no good spots here for a new hide (happy for someone else to prove us wrong).
We checked on this today and it's missing, so disabling until we decide whether or not to replace it.
Tried again today. Had another Geocacher help look and a friend no luck looks like it’s not there.
School holiday trip to Auckland/Coromandel with the family. After a couple nights at Hot Water beach time for a few days in and around Tauranga. Staying in Matua...Time for an explore. All quiet for a quick find and sign here.
MrsTG impressed by the Birth Of Venus (Botticelli) painted by Owen Dippie on the side of Harrington building (we had read about it; but the roadworks prevented access from the cache side so had to drive right around and enter Harrington street from the other end). MrsTG has seen the original. Fantastic to see it on the side of a building...

Been after this one for a while now. Trouble is I don't know my left from my right and nearly ready to flag this find away until I decided to give it one last poke.
Today I will leave Tauranga and turn back to Auckland. Before the bus leaves I had time for two Geocaches. That was the first one. Found it quick and went to a dry place to log it.
Thanks for hiding this one!
Thanks for hiding this one!
Staying just across the road with hubby for the weekend, as it was our wedding anniversary. Had to stop for this one on our way out. It's a shame that there appears to be maintenance being done on the building- it is fenced off, but I would have loved to have had a look.
Cache quickly found- spotted on approach, but I don't think any untrained eyes would have noticed anything amiss! Log full, and I didn't bring any spare, since this was supposed to be a wedding anniversary trip . Just managed to squeeze my name in.
TFTC!

Grabbed after breakfast this morning on my last day in Tauranga. Say and signed the log while trying to avoid the builders working on the site opposite. TFTC!
Found it today, lots of people around but managed to get it back without anyone noticing
I was nearing the end of my geocaching adventure ashore in Tauranga from the Norwegian Jewel. I’d enjoyed touring the mission, found some fun caches, walked a lot, and managed to avoid a downpour. I was happy to sit for a moment and admire the old post office. In my hometown, it would have been leveled and probably replaced with a parking lot (grrrrr). Thanks for showing me a building well worth saving...and for the easy smilie. A short time later my bus took me past GZ. A young couple was suspiciously close to the cache. Geocachers?????
We went straight to this one when we got off the bus. Easy quick grab before moving onto the next.
Strolled around the Waterfront after having dinner nearby. No problem finding this in the dark. Clear hint. TFTC
I was in the stroller for this one. But this looks like a great spot to stop for a drink and a few crackers.. Mummy... MUMMY... Over here... "You're Welcome"
In Tauranga with Ayden4aSmile visiting the inlaws. Took a moment but after we sat to admire the amazing old building cache was in hand quickly.
Just went and arranged our marriage certificate for February and thought I’d do a quick cache! Nice easy find thanks
One day after a beautiful wedding of our friends on Manaka Island we took a nice walk through the city and found this cache. TFTC
Forgot pen so took a photo of log as proof of find. Nice quick and easy find. Thank-you.
There was a bit of a red herring close by but found this after we expanded our search a little. Tftc
A nice tricky hide. I like when they are not completely obvious but also not so difficult it takes ages. Thanks!
After walking in circles for a while and pretending to check the phone I finally found this one in the first place I looked, but I didn't look properly. Many thanks for the cache, I have had a great time wandering around this evening. Lots of cars and muggles about. The creeper on the garden smells beautiful.
On our way back to the motel, we passed the old post office and grabbed this little treasure....a perfect day ended with another nice cache...TFTC
Found while visiting Tauranga aboard the ms Amsterdam. A quick find with no muggles in the immediate area. Nice hide in a great spot for a cache. TFTC.
On a trip over the Kaimais to escape the fog/rain & enjoy some lovely mid-winter BOP sunshine instead. Had a great day caching & now about to meet some friends after they finish work for a spot of night caching out at Welcome Bay. Thought I'd grab this one while it's dark & fairly quiet. Took a moment to twig to the correct corner & then it was a nice quick find. Cache signed & replaced as found, on my way again! TFTC
Third of three quick finds in town. Nice quick grab on a the way back to our car. TFTC.
On our way back to auckland today after watching the rugby last night and thought we would stop off here and stretch our legs.gps was very jumpy so we were searching for a bit in the wrong area but we made the find eventually.
This is my fave one found so many!!! Interesting things we found a hedgehog, kitten, even a time capsule we loved the geo was not what we thought it was. it was not to hard and not to easy mediam
Out with Iammrwalker and a bit of a night mission around Tauranga. With only limited time available for us our main focus for the night were the two new UV caches here, and of course anything else we were passing by. A fairly successful night in the end however some hides took a while for us to locate.
Have been here a couple of time before but both times the cache was gone. No troubles tonight, though I did think the policeman who gave me a good stare down as he drove past was going to stop for a chat. Glad to turn this one into a smilie at long last.

I had some time off this week due to it being school holidays and decided to go on a night mission to Tauranga. HKCB was keen to come along and suggested we make the two new UV caches our focus and then grab whatever else we could along the way. I picked HKCB up after dinner and dropped him home about 2am. Unlike me, he had to work the next day. Many of the caches took longer to find than they should have, we never the less had an enjoyable night out. A big thanks to all the CO’s for placing and maintaining the caches and making our mini adventure possible.
We had been here on two previous trips but the cache was missing so it was nice to tick it off tonight. We had a nervous moment when a police car drove past VERY slowly taking an unhealthy interest in us, but thankfully we can't have looked to dodgy because they drove on.

Unfortunately it was dark, so could not see too much of the building. Quick find, TFTC
We took a day's leave to make a long weekend to come to Rotorua (from the Manawatu) for a D5/T5 that we qualified for in Chch recently. Making the most of the trip and getting as many others as we can fit in. The Manawatu summer is dreadful this year and we cannot believe our luck on getting two gloriously hot blue sky days. Loving it! Having got what we came for in Rotorua we dashed to Tauranga for the web cam - got here late side tracked like usual. After ages of fluffing we got the web cam and then went for these local traditionals before finding a sushi dinner in town. This was the very last for the day. Was it because it had been a long day that we really struggled to find this. Had a very good hunt in the wrong area. Had a sit down in disgust that the last one of the day was going to be a dnf. And then I had the lightbulb moment and went straight to it. Dah! A happy way to end what has been an awesome day. We forgot sunblock (the Manawatu has had more of a spring/autumn than a summer this year) so we are heading back hot and sunburnt but very happy. TFTC. Giving this a favourite to making the last cache a smilie one.
A nice quick and easy find. Log book is full and we had no replacement with us. TFTC
Decided to celebrate this lovely sunny summers day by doing a few local caches. Loved wandering around town, lots going on even though the shops were shut. Very pleasant cache area, easily accessed, though nobody would notice. We had good time to locate and sign the log in leisure. Cache is all good. Impressive post office - real history now, hard to credit what an important role they once had. TFTC
_holymoly_ with the right idea in the right moment so we also got this little one

Decided to tag-along with my parents on a roadtrip from Auckland to Tauranga, as they had to bring 2 dogs down to have their hips and elbows x-rayed. Knowing we'd have a couple of hours to kill, I managed to convince my parents to let me find a few caches, in particular the webcam at the end of the port.
We were heading back into town for lunch, having come form the webcam cache at the port. I happened to notice a cache right here, as we pulled up to the intersection. Mum quickly made a left turn and parked up outside the post office, while i made a huge detour around to finally settle on GZ. Sneakily hidden in plain sight. TFTC

Very glad to turn our previous DNF back in 2015 into a smiley today. No problems at all today as we found in the first place checked. Great to tick this one off the list at long last, TFTC!
Tried tucking it in a little better than the last person as was fairly exposed. Walking around tauranga city centre geocaching as I go
10.47am. The area was very quiet so a quick find.
