The one cache I decided to find in New Plymouth and it is most likely gone ... Like others I found its former location at least, so I am logging a find, but no worries if you disagree.
Thank you for the cache!

Visiting New Zealand for three weeks. Having circled most of the South Island in two weeks I sailed across the Cook Strait and zigzagged around the North Island, from Wellington to the west coast and Hamilton, then past Rotorua and Taupo to the east coast and back to Auckland and Northland.
Thank you for the cache!

Container obviously gone for months, only magnets left, seems to need replacement ...
The magnets are still attached to the hint item, but no box(es) remain. We have logged a find but if you wish to delete the log as there was no logbook, fine with me. But there is no cache left.
We found the grey and some lonely magnets(see ants photo) and are calling it ‘found’ but if the CO wants to delete our logs we understand.
Once upon a time there was finally a sale between CHC and NPL, and I managed to grab a seat! The anticipation of the holiday was killing me, as this was to be the first time I set foot in Taranaki, the last unchartered territory in NZ for me. Since the wait for the dates was unusually long, I even got a chance to do some planning and pick a few nice caches to look for. I was hoping to go for a few walks also.
Today, the weather was not looking too good, but I decided to wear suitable clothing and just suck it up. I still managed to find a few good ones!
Not much space to post a letter - this one may need to be checked! Nice spot to visit, thanks for bringing me up here!!!

A pleasant walk to GZ today. Cache found quickly thanks to the previous logs. Thanks for the hide.
I'm from Norway, travelling around New Zealand for almost 2 months, using geocaching as my tourguide. Today I spent the day in New Plymouth finding lots of good caches. I was in the Brooklands park and saw the animals in the zoo, took a walk at the beach, saw the nice bridge, climbed the Paritutu Rock, saw some sea-lions and finished off the day watching the beautiful lights in the park. Yeah, I also bumped into Lionfish when I was looking for a geocache there, what a lovely surprise to meet some fellow cachers and have a chat. I absolutely love New Plymouth, unfortunately I could only spend one day here, as I have to hurry over to Tongariro and do the crossing while the weather is good.

First one of this type. Easy find. But unfortunately it no longer stays on where it was. Very little left to make it hold. So had no choice to where rocks are behind table. Definitely needs maintenance now. Tftc
Looking for a regular cache with recent finds to drop a travel bug off to.
Ventured to this one just before dusk, aided with the light of my smart phone. Got to say, this place gets dark fast and I wondered if it would be to much of an ask. As it turns out it was not an issue.
Logged the find and dropped off the travel bug.
Cheers.

Cache had fallen from its natural position. I managed to put it back where it had obviously been before but many of the bonding agents are now inside The cache, the external onces are few and week. A bit of glue needed otherwise it's fine.
Cheers.

Out for a evening cage with luchadora a nice little hide never been to the spot before on a nice sunset tftc
Found it. Never knew about this lookout before, may have to bring the mini catchers back for a picnic. Cache in perfect condition. TFTC
Found with my boy while pokemon and rock hunting in the park. A good walk to get to it, thankfully a nice sunny day to dry up most of the mud. Great clue, books are nice and dry. Thanks for the cache!
Third work trip to New Plymouth in as many months. I didn't think I'd have any time for caching on this trip having another meeting in the middle of the day in Palmerston North, but thankfully that was cancelled so I could squeeze in a few caches on my drive home.
Always keen to grab letterbox caches where I can as there isn't that many of them about. Pulled up and made my way to the gz where the cache was an easy find. Strange lookout which I suppose had a great view when all the surrounding bush was a bit younger but now that it's grown seems to hide everything except the mountain. Which was looking great today with no clouds in the sky. TFTC

My Easter Monday find. A very nice day for walk home from town through the park. A straightforward find at a spot I hadn't been to. TFTC.
We are in the beautiful New Plymouth to visit family before they take off to the united kingdom, but had to get some caches on our travels. We don't see many letter boxes around so we had to make the effert to find this one. It was a wet day but lucky for us the rain had decided to stop so it was rain coats off and get walking it was slippery in places we just took it slow. The clue was helpful eve though mr watcache eyes were shut, can't believe he missed i and i trusted him luckily he had another look and he couldn't believe he missed it the first time, he ,must of been getting tired after a busy weekend. Mr watcache signed the log and placed it back where he finally found it. what a lovely walk and a great spot for a cache. TFTLC always a pleasure going to a post office and getting that special wee stamp.
On a 10 day holiday of the North Island of NZ visiting from Australia sl thanks for the cache. This is the first letterbox cache I have found in New Zealand. Nice spot.
Another summer visit to locate the unfound caches in the area and turn them into smilies.
An enjoyable stroll around the park towards GZ. It was cool and refreshing under the tree cover. No problems with the find TFTC.

Found it on a trip to the zoo. My eldest daughter found it with ease! Great view from the spot!
Today was day two of a four day ‘camp’ I have been fortunate enough to lead and organize for the ‘SJCgeocamp’ group. The SJCgeocamp group consisted of ten motivated fourteen-year-old boys who had chosen to join me and another adult for a trip to New Plymouth to experience Geocaching for the first time during their school camp week. I really enjoyed researching the trip which consisted of a variety of geocache types, sizes and difficulties in a variety of locations, some more challenging to get to than others. We were after quality rather than quantity and mostly visited geocaches with a high numbers of favorites and by CO’s with good reputations for providing unique hides. Thanks to all the cache owners, the boys had a great time.
We walked through Pukekura Park to Brooklands and back today. The weather was a little drizzly but didn't dampen spirits. Its a shame the festival of lights was not on but preparations were well under way. No problems with the find today.

If the air wasn't cloudy, we could have seen Mount Taranaki.
Maybe in the afternoon.
We found the cache, where we came for.

Found with Trayc.g, logging now as I have my own account. Ive been here twice now, next time I'll come with a stamp
Lovely day for a lovely walk amongst the trees. My first letterbox cache, must acquire my own unique stamp for next time. TFTC
Found today with Gnome62. Nice hide left a diamond. Rewrote last 4 logs as someone had been drawing silly pictures and took silly pictures away. Thanks for the cache
A beautiful place to walk around and explore. Love these panoramic signs that help you spot different trees. Thanks for a great cache
Great cache, had to think at first, took a TB, will take that onto its next journey, very cloudy day to enjoy the view, tftc banjoboy2012
All weekend at womad stood here showing visitors and didn't realise this was right under my hands tftc
We spent a little while fossicking around for this - -- coordinates all over the place. Then decided a little thinking wouldn't go amiss. - - - Aha gotcha! TFTC .
Planning to head up to the Summit of the mountain tomorrow to claim my 6000th find, so needed a few more finds to get the numbers to align. I had spent the morning caching but still needed a few more to get the numbers up, so time for a few more finds before the big one tomorrow.
Had ear-marked this cache as a must get while down here for the weekend. Parked up by the zoo and enjoyed the walk to the cache. We had GZ to ourselves so it only needed a short search to find the neatly hidden cache. Thanks for the Letterbox!

We had to come here for the letterbox since we are close to it.
It was easy to find, thank you for the cache and the discovery.

Nous apprécions nos promenades et nous étions obligé de passer par cette letterbox vu que nous étions à côté. La boîte fût facile à trouver. Merci pour la cache et la découverte.

Took the long way through the park to this cache so got my exercise for the day - thanks! GPSr took me within cooey of the cache then a quick feel around where I thought it was and quickly had the cache found - The nearby seat made for a great spot to complete the signing.
Enjoyed the walk and the cache thanks banjoboy2012. Dropped a trackable here - please keep him moving.

I grew up in NP and I thought I knew this park well. . . . obviously not well enough. I've never been to this lookout. Awesome spot. Thanks for bringing us here.
Number 2913 1 January 2016 10:22. 907 meter's door to cache. Another path I didn't know about, and an interesting spot. Took the TB, TFTC
Zig and Zagged our way to the cache home.
Found the neat hide and had a sit down to do what we needed to do.
This was our must do cache of the day, as Hyjynx loves her letterbox's.
Stamped up, and signed in, discovered the TB, but left it as its mission would be in jeopardy if we removed it.
Fav-Pont awarded, for cool location / type of hide / and cache type.
Cheers

#10478. We enjoyed our walk through the park to GZ. My GPSr was quite a way off, but Troodles Oregon got her to the right spot. TFTC.
We couldn't leave New Plymouth without a quick visit to Pukeura Park, which has to be the most beautiful park in NZ . We enjoyed the walk to GZ, though did have a navigational glitch at one point. GPSr reception was not the best but the hint helped track down the nicely hidden cache. Unfortunately, rather cloudy this morning so no view today. Loved the chunky "furniture" here - would have taken a bit of effort to get into place.
On the way back to the car, we noticed the café was open, so had a good cup of coffee and a savoury scone to set us up for our journey north to Auckland.
Thanks for bringing us here and TFTC.

Our second visit in the Pukekura Park but still caches to find. I like this park. We took the little clim to get to this nice spot. Anja understood the clue and found the container so it is our first letterbox in New Zealand.

A quick find on an evening visit after dinner in the city. Nice spot, great view over the park. Signed log, TFTC
Needed one more Letterbox Cache for the GIO LL Stage 3 Challenge I am doing and seeing as I was down here, I thought this one would do nicely. Nice walk all over the Park to get here (past the Boot Campers at the Bowl) but it is an awesome place and a great hide. TFTC
nice walk and a lovely spot, hidden away out of sight, found cache and stamped book, TFTC
Visiting New Zealand for the mega and I headed up this way to visit friends here in New Plymouth. They were working and so I went for a long walk of caching. Finding this one was a priority since there arent that many letterbox hybrids. Nice hide. Cheers for the cache!
Great view from here though to Brooklyn zoo area. Mini oddball is on the ball with his spotting today. Breaking finding speed records. Thanks for bringing us here. Now off too the pools. Tftc
We headed on up the track to the lookout and soon located the Post Office. Thanks.
I had this Letterbox cache on my to-do-list for spell September Challenge. Quick find. Thanks for the cache.
#994. The family spent the morning locating caches in Pukekura Park. A couple of weeks ago I spent ages driving to find a letterbox cache in Marlborough that was a regular size. Needed it for a challenge series we are working on. Today we found this one and can't use it for any challenge. Nevermind. It is always good to locate letterbox hybrid caches. I was puzzling at the hint but Mrs GSEL had already worked that out. However I did suggest to Miss E to have a look at the correct hiding spot and she plucked it out from its well covered spot. Signed the cache log and drew a picture in the letterbox logbook as we had forgotten to bring our stamp along on the trip. Nice spot and useful viewing plaque. TFTC
Tftc maunga looks gorgeous with the fresh snow. Lived here 12 years and never been here before!
We might be a little hazy on dates as we were in holiday mode. We walked up here and thought it was really pleasant. Had to wait a bit for another couple to leave, then we swooped in. Took the cute Papa smurf with us. TFTC
Cool Lil spot never been here before so was great to explore another area of the park. Popped in a trackable. ..
#6410. Enjoyed the walk in Brooklands Park this afternoon. GZ was all quiet when we visited. Quick find. Nice hide. The cache was in excellent condition. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log. Thanks for the cache.
What a lovely lookout that I never knew existed. Did not realise how close the bowl was from here... was visiting home and lifestyle expo so took the opportunity to grab a couple of caches and a travel bug
At the Bowl for WOMAD so thought it rude not to get the caches that are in the boundaries of the festival.
This was a nice quick find en route to the festival from the race course come camp ground. Haven't bought my stamp with me so have just signed the log book.

Turns out I was off last visit. Simple find once I consulted the clue. First letterbox, TFTC.
Went for a look in the dark and where my phone said the cache should be I found a user kit with needles tourniquet etc. Rather scary.
In New Plymouth for a couple of days, spent a couple of hours wandering around the park and finding caches. Nice walk up here, Picked up TB. SL TFTC.
Came here while enjoying a lazy stroll in the park, this was one area we hadn't been to before. TFTC banjoboy2012, #7521. Dropped off a geocoin
