Tree is still in place. People working nearby so couldn't check on cache specifically. But location not disturbed.
Recent work at GZ suggests this might be gone, anyway dnf and no hint object at the right coords
Grabbed with Z-MasterNZ after hunting for the nearby night cache- was going to do more but the rain was closing in so we turned back and made it to the car just before the rain started. TFTC
Felt the need to get out to Hamilton for a bit, so up to Whangarei for the weekend.
A quick find just before a shower of rain passed over.
TFTC Riser5, the cache was found in good order Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 4 find of 4 today, making this find #1321

Quick find whilst stopping for a leg stretch en route to Cable Bay. TFTC! Found with Secret7(P).
after a visit in the information center we looked for dome caches. here we the box easily, tftc and greetings from germany.
Auf der Fahrt in den Norden bin ich mit wurftaube auch hier vorbei. Ganz in der Nähe gab es ein Infocenter, wo wir uns über die naheliegenden Wasserfälle und den Urwaldpfad informierten. Vielen Dank!
A lovely hot day to be out caching with Vistra and yorkeshirekiwi83, haven't cached in town for ages so a good opportunity to find some of those that have been on my list for awhile. When we drove up we weren't sure if the walkway was still open as the school has the road closed off with big construction works, but no problem even though halfway is blocked off you can still walk along. nice quick find here, TFTC
I'm back up in my home town of Whangarei for the holiday period and today joined up with fellow Auckland cacher yorkshirekiwi83 and local caching friends tikitour for a hot summers day of caching around the city. The logs were either signed with our caching names or some combination of the letters T,V & Y for our caching names - depending on who had previously found the caches. Parked at the start of the walkway and made a quick find of the cache here. TFTC!

Decided to finish the year and see in the new year in Whangarei, Vistra and tikitour decided to join me and we spent the time grabbing caches around the region, in some cases it was just one that needed to sign in others it was all three of us, signed as TYV (or combination of those letters) or VY when it was more than 1 of us.
Looked like there is some recent construction work going on, feared they had got rid of the hint item, but no the gps was out by 11m though. TFTC

An easy find. Cool camo on top. We're going to the waterfall next but we're going to drive to a closer start point. I don't think my little one would enjoy such a long hike in this heat. We went over the bridge and the kids enjoyed a play on the Information centre's playground. I remember a fun visit to the nearby Horahora Playcentre many years ago. TFTC
We were on our "Amazing Race" work function organised by MAD Mades today and had time to nip up and grab this one. Found with Vanquish. Looked in a couple of places and found a bee hive, so bee (harhar) careful.
Greetings from West Sacramento, California! Papa EGTH are on Day 1 of our 3-week honeymoon and after arriving in Auckland a little after 5am this morning, we stopped for this cache while heading into Whangarei. I needed a biobreak, so we pulled over at the rest stop and then we went after the cache. It was a little off from the coords, but we found it using the hint. Once back in the parking lot, we overheard an American accent and struck up a conversation with the family before heading up the road. Thanks!
HockeyHiker19 and I were on day 1 of our geocaching honeymoon in New Zealand. We needed to pull off for HockeyHiker19's full bladder and took advantage of the stop to go after a cache. Our GPSrs were leading us into the water so we referenced the hint and was able to made the find soon thereafter.
#515 I thought I was holding the most impressive camo ever until I realised it didn't open and I spotted the real cache. TFT(replaced)C.
No luck today. wonder if it still there? As looked like should have been easy find
Easy find BUT after I retrieved it from its hidy-hole it leaped out of my hand, rolled across the grass and INTO THE WATERWAY!
Not an ordinary shallow drain but a narrow and almost 1 meter deep chasm.
Had to use an old dried agapanthus flower & stem to guide it to a gravel bank and climb in and get hold of the rascal pill box.
Just as well no muggles about on a wet cold day and the cache survived its swim.
I have to make time to get to the other hides along this track.

Found as part of my Post Mega northen road trip. Really enjoyed a part of the country I hadn't seen before. Thanks to all those who have placed cacahes to encourage us southerners to come your way!
A good start to the morning for me and a playground nearby for the younger staff member. TFTC!
A quick find while out for an after work walk with Liz. This is the last one for this evening's walk - now we have to retrace our steps back to the car. A pleasant evening although the wind was a bit chilly.
5556. Before leaving Whangarei decided to do a few caches. This was number 5 of the day. A quick and easy find. Thanks for the cache. Rodney and Iris.
1.15pm. Walked from the info centre as I wasn't sure how to get there by road. Will have to the leave those further along for another day which will be sometime in November.
Thank you. David.
Thank you. David.
Back in town and a quick grab before attending the nearby event to mark the completion of the August Cache streak. T4TC!
Lovely stroll across the park for this one. Two muggles play fighting on the bridge as I wondered past.
Out and about in the area for the weekend. Decided to follow the path to the end from the other one nearby here for a bit of a leg stretcher. Quick find. SL. TFTC.
Snooze, you lose!!! I should have gotten my one published quicker!
I knew the area, having placed a cache about 20 m away, so when finding this cache, I picked my one up for relocation!!
Found the cache easily, a nice hide in a very public place. Be aware of the nearby residents when looking for this one. I loved the cache personalisation too.
