Having just followed a week away for work and the MEGA I'm back down in the south for work and more Rep training. So of course what does the serious geocacher do when faced with being in a town that they haven't done a lot of caching, well cache of course, and this evening was to be no exception.
This was my fourth as had based myself at "The Saxton" on the edge of Saxton Park. Nice simple trad here and a pleasent walk around the park/streets and cycleways collecting caches.
Nice quick find here without any issues .
thanks for the placement , thanks for the cache

We weren't/aren't streaking - probably that's a blessing for everyone, but landed on this one just the same.
Cache find was straightforward, all in order. Log signed; cache safely re-hidden, just as found.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too

Quick find after picking rental car at airport. Lid broken. Surprised it's not wet.
A nice sunny day to be caching .searched for awhile finally found the cache which needs maintenance new log plus new lid. Tftc
Flying back from a long weekend in the Manawatu and the chance to grab a few caches to keep me going through the week before I head back ove the hill. Even though it was nice in Palmy today someone turned the hose on in Nelson and after a cloudy misty flight into the airport (the turbulence wasn't as bad as I thought it might be) I got back to the car and the rain started and pretty much rained on and off for a few hours. I managed a couple more Streak caches, two puzzles and some in and around the Stoke area so quite pleased to get double figures (and get drenched)
Second Streak cache in a row. I see some have been archived so I'll never get all 31 but nice to try and geta few anyway. The lid on this is cracked but the R I T R paper is safe and easily writeable (as it should be!)

6656. Our last full day in Nelson and a long drive home tomorrow so decided to take it easy, not go too far or do much geocaching. Ended up doing some biking and walking and found twelve caches. This was cache number six for the day. A quick and easy find in a safe spot after a very short walk from a good parking place. Thanks for the cache. Rodney and Iris.
Nice quick find here - enjoying caching on holiday in the area with Just-Lookin
Had another great day with some very good finds.

This place. Dad managed the factory over the road amany years ago (pre deviation) and my first summer job was under that canopy making sure the holes in cardboard boxes didn't have bits of cardboard left in them. Exciting times. Cache lid stuffed. Cheers

This was one of the most epic weeks ever, and definitely my most epic caching week ever.
Me and mum headed up on a holiday north to Nelson and very wider surrounds. In total during the trip, we found almost 500 caches! (470 odd I think, but final results are yet to be in! ) We covered about 3000 odd km I think too. Crazy! And had our absolute best caching day ever too at 160 found. Spend 9 days travelling, caching, and having the best time ever!!
So sorry about not so epic logs, as otherwise this would probably take me the rest of my life to log, especially with two big events to organise coming up! Eeek!!
Almost every single log we signed as 'Team Polak' to avoid needing to write out both usernames taking up space on logsheet - as well as precious caching time!! Haha.
Consec caching day # 704

For the sake of sanity we set off with sonia26642 for a crazy geocaching trip, aiming to cache until we drop. The main destination was Nelson and the ‘surrounding’ area, but then we ended up covering a few miles in three northernmost regions, plus a few in Canterbury. We were signing/stamping the log as 'Team Polak' or ‘TP’ for the two of us on this trip to save logbook space. We found a lot of different caches, city ones, road side, park side, up a hill and on an island, and we enjoyed every single one of them. It was good to be a professional thingfinder for a few days!
We had great fun and are grateful to all CO’s who placed caches for us to find, and help restore our sanity before returning to our other non-geocaching lives!!
Come and join us the next New Zealand geocaching MEGA event!! Register your interest now at www.nzmega2015.com to receive newsletter updates and be the first to know. It will be a great event, come and be a part of it!!

#7763. Out on the bike to catch up on a couple of caches Troodles had already found during her streak. Didn't take too long to suss out the hiding place. TFTC.
Had looked for this one before during lunchtime a few weeks back, but passing muggles frustrated my efforts. Stopped by on the way to work this time, which was a far better time, although I still needed to pick my moment for the grab.
Time to drive home. Made a wrong turn, and this one was was right where I needed to do a U turn. Nice. Thanks for the hide.
Probably not a good idea to visit in business hours, but using the hint was able to go straight to it, and had the log written up and cache replaced in next to no time. I'm sure no-one took any notice of me.
Thanks for contributing to my streak, now 31 days and counting.

Nice quick find on Christmas Eve. Gorgeous day out for a walk around Stoke. A nice time to nab it. #8 for the day. TFTC
Thanks for taking us through a great area. http://www.geocaching.com/images/icons/icon_smile_cool.gif
A quick find by torchlight on an after-dinner walk while staying in Nelson. It was a good time of day to do it, there was absolutely nobody around. Signed log, TFTC
First cache for some time and first spot I put my hand. Phew. Thanks for placing this cache.
A quick find after night shift. The number of times I pass here and I've never noticed the wall, TFTC.
Found in the evening after having spent the day in Wellington meeting my new grandson. Needed a quick find to keep my post streak Streak going and this one has been waiting such an occasion. TFTC
Found after a bit of ferreting around thanks. I guess the other cache that used to be in this area under the tap has gone now then. Thanks for the cache.
Nice One!!!!!!!!!!!!Doing a bit of "Streakin' Around" before the rains came down. Much fun with my number one caching grandson. Needed a bit of rock hopping to get this one. Thanks
Fast find after House Rules, between the rain showers. Great time, with no muggles. Tftc.
Nice and quiet on a Saturday night round here!! Thanks for another great cache in this series!! Cheers
We decided to leave this one for an evening find due to the muggle factor here so we stopped by on our way past tonight and signed the log. Today is the mid point in the Streak and thanks to this CO and others it has been an easy run so far. TFTC.
Funny how sometimes you can think that a spot is perfect for a cache and within hours there's a notification. The find was strategic for the muggle factor and to keep the streak at full steam ahead. TFTC
A bit behind in the streak series numbers and certainly out of order. However this one was perfectly placed for the drive to work find and day 15 of my streak.
Thanks Eder-Ents for placing this cache.

Oh you mean there!!! Cache found, log signed, cache returned, streak continues!!! Thanks!!!!
I was streaking off to a friends place to get her laptop working for her and this was on the way. Great to have all these new hides so close to home.

One of those caches where you just have to go for it despite the passing traffic! TFTC
Got our streak caches all out of numerical order - but finding them in distance from home order as we headed for Wakefield. Which made number nine number two. SoBad barely needed to turn the engine off here as Mrs Sobad had an immediate find (good coords thanks) before he could get out of the car.
Thanks. Now on to the one she couldn't find last time hoping for three out of three from number seven on the 10th.
Thanks. Now on to the one she couldn't find last time hoping for three out of three from number seven on the 10th.
Needed to be patient waiting for a break between the stream of traffic. A quick dash and grab and then a relaxed signing of the log in the car. Another dash and stash to return the cache. TFTC
(Day 9 ) popped in and grab this one as it was on my way home after night shift, my first of the Streak series....
Ha! An "FTF" of a different kind for me here today - fourth to find Spotted this one had been published overnight when I got up this morning so headed off to see what state it was in. A good spot for it, familiar from a cache that I forgot had been archived. TFTC, Biggles.
Quick find with bullertrout.

Oh no, a DNF!! With no hint i was a bit lost.. will have to return tonight when less muggles around
Wow what an amateur i am needing a hint !! Got it this time, problem was i was focusing on the wrong end! Also much easier at night with no muggle truckers across the road watching me. Our streak is still alive, TFTC!!
Decided on this one for my 9th streak attempt - nice to be spoilt for choices which was a bit unexpected before this whole thing got underway. Found with no problems before the hint was added. TFTC #4973
