Found by Mary and David at 10:15. We found the cache easily enough, then went wandering along the track. Spotted lots of spider orchids and quite a few enamel orchids too. Our thanks to Rach2.
#5842 Found on our WA Adventure visiting from NE Victoria. Spending part of the day in Bunbury today and was immediately drawn to this reserve to explore some wildflowers. We were blown away by the number of orchids we spotted during our walk with the geohounds. We also spotted about 6 different species as well including the incredible spider orchid! Back at the start of our walk and nabbed this one after a couple of serious orchid hunters wandered out of view, eventually... TFTC Rach2.
Past through here on my way home to avenge a previous dnf. Managed to find a log page lying on the floor underneath the bench. returned to the car and placed it into a mint tin and tucked it away at the base of the tree behind the bench.
WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 53 - Bunbury Day 6. For my last day in Bunbury, I chose to start the day with a cafe breakfast in town. With five to choose from in one block I was spoilt and had a great meal. The first part of my caching day was in the suburbs just south of Bunbury, with the usual mix of success and failure. Over my whole day it was almost one DNF for every three finds. I was happy that some caches have had maintenance recently, so that is good news. My afternoon was supposed to be a country road series, but that was troubled as well. There is a huge new road going in that made accessing some of the areas I wanted a very convoluted exercise, but in the end, I made it to the site of all the caches I had in mind. However, even out here there were more DNFs than I would have expected. I finished the day visiting three challenge caches before going back to finish a cemetery issue and get fuel for tomorrows drive to Freemantle. I have really enjoyed my time in Bunbury, big enough for plenty of services, not too big to be difficult. Not to mention lots and lots of great caches.I made two stops here, as some people came for a sit on the seat just when I first arrived. The bush tracks are closed, but the seat is ok. Cache found as described. Thanks for the cache Rach247833.13 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 2015 Anniversary A#324**Albida**
Went back today and found it with the help of bazza65 . No pen even after scouring the car. Have a photo of the cache if you need proof. Thanks
Found it finally after a few attempts but didnt have a pen , will be back another time to complete log.Lots of orchids out at the moment. TFTC
TaurusSix and I have decided to clear up our remaining unfound caches around the Bunbury area. In reality there are not that many, However they are spread around the place , some are dnfs that need a further investigation, some were disabled that have now become enabled and then there are some we have just not gotten around to yet. So in between domestic tasks and running around with life chores today we decided to pick up a couple of stragglers. The weather was initially rainy, cold and windy but did pick up a bit so we ended up having a couple of nice walks to collect a couple of caches today and ticked a couple off our list.
This was our first of two caches today. It was great to turn a previous blue frown into a happy yellow smiley. Once we had found the cache, logged and returned we enjoyed the nice walk around Manea Park, which was really lovely. The weather stayed nice and the birds were out in full song and apart from a lone muggle dog walker we had the place to ourselves . Thanks for the cache Rach2 .

Very strange, the cache I put here is gone, but the original cache is back anyway there is a cache here
I was walking back to my car from the first cache of the day. I was checking my phone to read up on the cache. Just then someone drove up to me and asked what I was measuring. I just said I was tracking where I walked. They then asked, almost knowingly, am I looking for something. I mentioned a geocache, but didn’t get a chance to explain. They then said people shouldn’t be doing that because of the rare orchids. I suspect he knew what I was up to and did not approve. Each their own.
I continued and sat to finish my reading. Then I set about looking for the cache. And kept looking. And finally stopped when it was clear I was not going to find it.
I am hoping that it has not been deliberately removed by a ‘disapproving sole’, not unlike the one I met on my way in.

Enjoying a long weekend in Bunbury for WAGB Spent the day pottering around picking up caches as I went - after a leisurely breakfast of course! This was one that I stopped off at today. A few cars parked up at the entrance but no-one around at GZ I'll be walking the loop tomorrow - today it's just a drive-by grab of this one on the way past No problems here - TFTC

Searched for a nice looking series of caches in the bush and this group fitted the bill nicely. We had a fantastic time finding these well placed caches due to the ease of retrieval and the excellent paths. Thanks for maintaining this series, Rach2. Top effort.
A quick find on the way down to Margaret River to do the Northern half of Cape to Cape hike. TFTH #keepthestreak

Pommie Parkin2 was missing just one date off her hidden dates grid and with choices limited we decided a trip to Bunbury would be quicker than solving a puzzle that no one else has yet to solve.
I solved a fun puzzle down that way and rather than it sit in the solved and not found basket for too long a plan was hatched. Neither of us had done many Bunbury way so there were so many choices. Plus the 20 odd caches on the way down that neither of us had found.
With a slow full of caches trip down and our 2 must do caches found it was time to head off for some refreshments. Feeling revived we thought we would grab a few more. Being university holidays seemed the perfect opportunity to grab the ones around the campus. No big walks for us today given the heat about however this one was close enough for us not to drown in our own sweat. Looks to be a nice park hopefully I will grab the others on another cooler day.

A surprisingly busy corner today. Who would want to go on a Bush Walk in this weather. Never mind they soon went on their way and left me to the business at hand. TFTC
It took us quite a while to find this cache but we were doing by touchlight. we will have to come back some time and walk the trail.
Thanks for the hide Baffle. Looks like a nice place to walk through the bush and find a few caches. Might have to leave that for another day at 7.30pm it's getting a bit dark and I'm getting eaten alive. thanks for taking me here.
Out on a days south bound caching with my mom ooh yeh. Quick find. Tftc
These caches are what geocaching is all about for us. At Manea Park we were able to combine two of our passions – wildflowers and geocaching. We photographed a wide variety of flora between the showers and despite the cold and damp really enjoyed our walk. Thanks for your excellent series.
This was a nice easy find to get us going. Already had the camera out to capture some orchids. TNLNSL Thanks baffle for this cache.

TFTC! Headed down to Bunbury with Cravo10 to the meet and greet event in dalyellup and collected a bunch of caches on the way there and the return journey.
Had a great meetup with around ten participants ranging in experience from 27 finds to 14000 finds. Had a lot of chatter about the accuracy of smart phone co ordinates and some general how to questions around offline lists and alike. Was great to meetup with everyone.
We targeted a few caches around town before doing some of the pig series and departing Bunbury for Perth.
Thanks for a great day out will be back soon.
