Think this one has gone walkabout. The bridge was recently water blasted and painted.
I'm back up in my home town of Whangarei for the holiday period and today joined up with fellow Auckland cacher yorkshirekiwi83 and local caching friends tikitour for a hot summers day of caching around the city. The logs were either signed with our caching names or some combination of the letters T,V & Y for our caching names - depending on who had previously found the caches. Wandered up to GZ and was standing at the right level to immediately spot this nano! TFTC!

Have finally gotten around to doing the loop and finding a few caches along the way. Last one to complete the loop. TFTC
Sister tikitour and I headed off for a walk around the loop, I picked up a few geocaches along the way. Nice to see the bridge up close . TFTC
After a 2h visit of Claphams National Clock Museum i found a couple of caches, this was one of it

Had visited this spot once before but the cache had been muggled at that time. Glad to finally cross this bridge off.

Made the most of a sunny Monday and went caching with PageHeart and AdamsFamNZ. Had a lot of fun watching the youngest of the AdamsFamNZ find this one all by herself
We saw the bridge opening while we were waiting to cross it. The kids and I enjoyed walking both under and over the bridge looking at the way it opens. They were amazed at how huge it is. The cache took us longer to find than it should of as we were looking on the wrong side. An enjoyable little cache. Thanks for this little adventure
Found 2 caches, a wee nano and a plasic one on the ground. I took the plastic one away, it was wet and yucky.
Did a walk around the city basin and earned some smiley's while Ms KR went to the Art Gallery
Thanks for effort put your hides.

I finally got to watch this bridge in action after crossing it and signing log. Amazing design. Tftc
Was in town for the night for work, so took a walk around the river.
Got to see the bridge go up, which was great to see.

This one was a nice quick find and we had the pleasure later on in the evening of driving over it when it was all lit up. TFTC
Decided to walk from the dog park to Okara Park shops while the rest of the family went to do some shopping - I was more interested in caches after a long drought after injuring my foot, despite the rain and wind. Found this one in seconds - the signing of it took considerably more time, but fairly sure it didn't go back in any wetter than it was (was a bit damp along one edge). Think it was this one where the log was full - I squeezed my name in underneath someone else's (although not a 100% sure it was this cache because this wasn't the only container of this size and colour today). Have yet to see this bridge open to see what it looks like then. Looks cool at night too what with all the lights. Thanks for the cache Riser5, my second find for the day placed by you.
Walked across one side and back on the other. Interesting design & mechanism on the bridge TFTC
Dragged the Mini Mob around the loop walk today so chance to grab a few caches. The Cache rate has been slow this year so need to make up lost time. Mini Mob scootered ahead of me and was standing at GZ for a while. Told him to look for it but blind as a bat I think. Grabbed it quickly. Fantastic view here watching the bridge. TFTC
Found it while out walking with miss 1. Forgot our pen though so unable to sign
Found with Redants while on our Far North Road Trip to the Winterless North. We found ourselves in some interesting places that we would not have visited had we not been searching for caches. Thanks to all the cache owners.
I had seen this bridge in a construction magazine but hadn't known it was here. Parked on the other side and walked across to this cache. TFTC.

We found this cache on a 2 week trip around Northland, visiting such locations as Opononi, Kaitaia, Cape Reinga, Russell, among many other places. We were lucky enough to see the bridge lift when we got here. TFTC
#215 Quick find during a walk to see the two new bridges in the Hatea Loop. TFT(a-luring)C.
Found the cache and then UP went the bridge. Is every find celebrated with a bridge-raising?
After the Keep New Zealand Beautiful event we kiwicouple and I headed down the path to quickly find the cache on the bridge. Impressed with the path around the area, looks like it would be a really nice walk, must remember to do so some other time.

After the CITO we drove along to the New Bridge to find this cache with yorkshirekiwi83. It has been a while since we were in Whangarei and we haven't seen the bridge before today. TFTC.
Don't know if this one is still here? Couldn't find but could have been under the dead pukeko covered in maggots
(932) Third time lucky for this one. How did we miss it the first two times. Cache hound spotted it. Yay for her. Was team hunting with Matt tuc76 TFTC
Nearly gave up but finally got it. A case of over-thinking it. First chance of seeing the bridge. Cache intact.

Do hope it is still there but no luck for us today but will be back. Stopped looking as I slipped over.
Hmmm - we maybe kinda over-complicated this one and tried a few dodgy one-armed moves...
When found it was a bit of an 'a-ha' moment!! Thanks to tikitours for there support here

As flowernz said we definitely overcomplicated this one, found it after retracing our steps. quite impressive bridge from all angles !!! Then we did find it and oh dear so sorry riser it came apart in my hands when I was trying to open it in the rain......have replaced it as best as I could but it does need fixing....TFTC
Nice wee stroll with max and Sheryl after lunch today. Getting my cache for the day as off home early tonight, so unable to attend the local event. Nice quick find here thanks .
Never mind a little rain... Pure & simple decision- the bridge was such a pretty sight all lit up that a walk over & around was a must do tonight, and so was this cache since I was walking right past. TFTC
Down for the event, couldn't be bothered saving caches for the 31 days of August as I'm hardly ever down in whangarei, so I just went all out!
Walked over for the first time, was part of the flotilla at the opening last weekend so had to try it out on foot.TFTC.
FTF Before work, took me a little bit of time to find this one, then it all made sense. TFTC
Got excited about being FTF but seems I missed the that title. 2nd will have to do. Quick find but busy with muggles driving and walking. TFTC.
