Back in Nelson this afternoon, just bought some new tyres for my bike in Richmond along the way, so after fitting them it seemed like the obvious thing to do was go break them in by going for a quick cycle to find a couple of nearby caches. Nice spot here and a quick find, TFTC
It is my last full day in Nelson so I left the Tahuna Holiday Park with the aim of finding the last of the closest trads and then making my way North up the Rocks Rd towards the Nelson CBD.Nice quick find. TFTC. Eder-Ents
A nice quick find here today after a scramble over the rocks. Lots of nice boats. Tftc
Down in Nelson with Supernannny and Jag on a caching holiday. As I was still looking Supernannny found it...Have never done a geocaching streak.
Found it on our last day here...with Jag50 and Net61.
I remember That Streak Challenge in Aug 2013.
Never Again!
Was hard work...plus I was still working back then .
Remember the song, too!

Back to caching in the city -so different to caching in the countryside. We are starting to think about dinner, but decide to cache for a wee while longer.
I can remember this challenge and I did keep the steak going and so have all the souvenirs.
In Nelson with TwigNZ, YetiNZ, Mr-Mcgoo for a few days of caching and meeting up with other cachers from Nelson. All logs signed as NMTY and apologies for the late log.
Kia ora rawa atu for the cache Eder-Ents.

(# 7910) A caching trip to Nelson with NZ_B, TwigNZ and YetiNZ. Day 3 of a 4 day trip interspersed with exploring and humour. Took a while to find.
The log was signed as NuMpTY (or NMTY) for NZ_B, Mr-mcgoo, TwigNZ, & YetiNZ. Thanks for bringing me here.

Day 3 of my Nelson trip, along with NZ_B, YetiNZ and Mr-Mcgoo. This is something we planned a while back and have very much been looking forward to
During our time here, all found caches were signed as NMTY (regardless of whether 2, 3 or all 4 of us hadn't found it previously), or with individual names for Challenge Caches according to whomever was claiming the find.
Last night we had planned out our day to start near the top of Boulder Bank and work our way back towards Nelson. The only problem was the sudden publication of 4 new Caches, and what with New Zealand's foremost FTF addict amongst our number, we had a bit of a debate as to whether we would stick with Plan A or switch to a mad-dash Plan B. Plan A won out so here we are.
It's now getting late in the afternoon and thoughts of food are starting to creep into our caching, so we compromised by heading into Nelson CBD to grab a few caches before we go and check out some eateries. The port area seemed like a sensible place to get a few more caches under our belt.
A quick and easy find for those of us who hadn't been here before. No issues to report with the cache or log so everything was replaced exactly as found after signing.
Thanks for setting this one up.

Some time ago a group of us from Wellington decided that what we should do is come down to the Nelson region for a long weekend of Geocaching. So we did. With minimal specific agendas, and lots of unfound caches in the area, the goal for this four day break is exploring, having fun, and finding geocaches. Here is one we found.
This was day three, and another fifty plus day that had us focusing around Nelson town, starting at the northern end and working our way south.
The log was signed as NuMpTY (or NMTY) for NZ_B, Mr-Mcgoo, TwigNZ, & YetiNZ

Thanks to Eder-Ents for placing and maintaining this cache. I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with CO's like this placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues.
[DGSc-Bulk] tagging to help me generate a list for GC30AD8 - DGSc Challenge.

Long after the streak of 2013 we're still enjoying these caches. Clear hint, easy find, tftc!
We were staying at some very near by accommodation after walking the Abel Tasman and before returning home. With this cache on our temporary doorstep it would have been wrong not to search for it! Located it easily enough and enjoyed looking at the many boats here too. TFTC!!
A quick find and #5 for the morning. Probably our last today as the two young boys have had enough being dragged around... TFTC
This is our third visit here but the previous time people were sitting by GZ but this time all good. TFTH and a favourite point for the location.
TFTC. Might have been a different story if it was raining and the rocks were slippery.
Always down for a bit of pre-Shift clambering in my work clothes. Nice easy one though. TFTC!
Found the container broken and logs full. Replaced container and temp RITR logs to keep this one rolling along. Cheers
Its a trip over the hill to Nelson for the local Event and an Earth Cache for another souvenirs. Its a cool damp day with the rain settling in by the end of the event. But had a great day exploring.

When the husbands away the wives will play haha - Straight out the door for a Saturdays geocaching adventure with Missnboyz. Our first cache of the day here. An easy spot in a lovely location. Been nearby a few times on trips out on the boat but never had time to tick it off the list until today. TFTC
What a stunning morning. In Nelson for the day due to work time to walk some serious miles and see this sea side city cache lid is broken
We found this cache during our holidays, nearby our Motel!
Thanks for showing!
Best regards bhudi from Germany

Doing a few caches around Nelson before we had for Christchurch tomorrow. We always enjoy a wander around marinas. Mr S got this one. He’s a bit more steady on his feet for clambering than Mrs S is. Lol.
Thanks Eder-Ents.
Thanks Eder-Ents.
I quite like looking at the boats parked up here. There are some people on deck their yacht not far from GZ but I doubt they noticed me sitting next to the cache and then reach for it. Like others have mentioned the cache is missing it's lid but the logbook is in good condition. Thanks Eder-Ents, definitely needed the hint to make a quick find here.
We are down in the Nelson/Motueka area for the weekend and a family gathering. Managing to find some caches along the way. Overall we found caching quite challenging in the area as it turned out with a larger number of DNF's than we are used to. This one was closest to where we were staying. SL. TFTC.
Easy to find however there is missing cap on the tube that's why is wet inside. Need some attention.

Nice easy find. All very wet, waterproof log easy to sign. Have dried out as much as possible. TFTC
Good place to sit and rest on the stones while looking (feeling) for the cache.
As mentioned in other logs, lid is broken but I found 3 papers in the container and all dry.

Just got back from my trip and updating my logs. Port Nelson was a highlight for the trip. Gotta go back and check out the area. TFTC
Mplcnous avons profité de notre voyage en Nouvelle Zélande pour faire du géocaching.
merveilleux pays,paysages inoubliables.

SnowflakEm found this one.. Had a walk & swim at Rabbit island, then into watch poppa win his yacht race so a perfect time for her to find a cache. TFTC
Think this spot was very busy when last tried to do. Only a few people around today luckily as felt a bit conspicuous clambering down. As other have said the lid is missing. but log reasonably OK. TFTC
Quick find on a sunny morning. Visiting from over the hill for the Mako semi-final rugby. Shame we were not able to win against big brother Canterbury. TFTC
An impromptu trip over the hill today to visit daughter who was wanting to spend the day with her Mum away from the study books. A bit of shopping and then a nice lunch before heading to the movies to see what was on. Buying tickets - we had 30 mins to spare - just sitting in the car waiting. Next thing I get asked "Any caches nearby"?
This one was pretty close - and only a couple of cars in the carpark. I sneaked around and sat on a rock whilst making the find. Lid gone as previous finders alerted. But log dry and all wrapped up and poked in tight in the container.

Took a wee while... still requires maintenance desperately but added a piece of paper as no room on log and put log in plastic zip bag back inside original case and put back TFTC
Quickly found this one. Log is pretty full and the cap of the container is broken. TFTC
Jenny and I found this cache during a tour of North and South Island, New Zealand. Log signed and cache replaced as found. tftc. Greetings from the UK.
On our South Island road trip to Dunedin, staying in Nelson. Wandered around grabbing some caches. This was a quick scramble and a quick find. Cache is dry but the log is full and the lid is broken. TFTC.
Down in Nelson for a 10 day holiday and one of our annual big treks in the wilderness somewhere in NZ. Thankfully a straight forward find thanks to the hint
Pretty quiet here today, and a pleasant place to sit for a while. Quick find thanks to the hint, was the second place I looked
Headed to GZ and as we pulled up saw a worker having his lunch in the general area. Luckily GZ actually put a few trees between us and we sat down to read the cache description and logs before looking for the cache. First thing we spotted was a stingray drifting through the water. Then looked behind where we were sitting and there was the cache easy to see. Grabbed and signed but it will need a new log shortly as there are only 2 blank lines left. Not sure if the hole in the lid was intentional or not - if not it also needs a new lid. tftc
Found was covered in leaves from tree without cap left uncovered as did not seem intented
Found lidless but dry. Thick terrain should be a bit higher than 1.5. TFTC and greetings from the UK
Not having much luck finding any caches in Nelson very disappointed. Beautiful views and the weather has been great so 2 out of 3 ain't bad I guess!
In the area for a birthday celebration so a quick walk to this cache was a given. Easy find, great day overlooking the marina. Tftc.
Sure I've been here before looking for this one. But today it was most surely mine.
Tried to find the caches around the harbour, this was the start and an easy find. TFTC
Quick find today in a nice spot on a nice day. The container itself is not in great shape, but the log is RITR so all good. We haven't got too many of the streak ones in the past, so great to see them still going strong. TFTC Eder-ents.
Day one of a weekend in Nelson for a spot of caching and other stuff. Got into town early, checked out the Saturday market (a little less vibrant than other times I have been there - guess it is still winter though), a little retail therapy at my favourite bookshop, then into some caches. Just 15 for the day, a few DNFs, multis half solved but not completed for various reasons, so not that successful on that front. But we visited a number of fine dining establishments throughout the day so pretty happy with things overall . Thanks to all the COs for their caches.

Found on a quiet Saturday with not many people around. Great spot I'd never been.

I used to spend a lot off time here as mum and dad used to own the motel around the corner but have not been back since that sold. Was lovely to come back and spend a bit of time here. The lovely border collie which was mentioned in previous posts has come to say hello. Too. Tftc
We were looking for a nice quick find today and we thought this could meet our requirements, it took a couple of minutes to find it as we initially hadn't looked well enough. Such a nice spot here. Thanks Eder-Ents for the cache
Picked this one up after lovely meal at The Anchor. Got to meet a friendly Border Collie and wandered along jetty to finish the evening off. Tftc
