I was driving past this evening, and it appears the cache may be gone due to construction fencing. I can't remember exactly where it was, but the CO will be able to tell based on the picture I took.
I had been advised that construction on the nearby building was coming and had been hoping that the cache location would be unaffected, but those hopes were in vain. The hiding place is gone. It may come back in the future, but I wont be able to check if the cache is still in place. So, I am archiving the cache.
We looked for this cache in the rain a year ago, and today in fine weather, but were unsuccessful both times.
Don't see too many of these around but very clever hide! Tftc, night time geocaching made this a little easier
This weekend saw us travel down to Christchurch from Auckland to tackle some caches towards our GIO Licence Challenge on Rangitoto Island. We needed to find 125 caches at least 500km from home, which also consisted of at least 50 different owners. Some cheap flights made Christchurch seem like the perfect opportunity to fulfil these requirements. It was a jam packed caching filled weekend, and a bit of a whirlwind visit, but we got to see some cool things during this time.
Totally overthinking this one at first....got there in the end though. Thanks for the hide!

Thanks for the cache. This is my 200th cache so thanks to the CO for making a cool cache that was worthwhile
Had a look for this on our way to the airport. Sat, thought and looked but no find today.
[green]Find #606 [/green]
Second find of the day!
We were out today in Christchurch picking up some local caches. This was the second cache we found. We found the best point of entry to the street from our accomodation.
After parking the car nearby, we headed off to GZ. We looked here, there and everywhere before locating the sneaky hide. I stealthily retrieved the cache, signed the logbook (I had to use tweezers to pull it out) and replaced it as I found it.
Thanks for the well camoed cache in an area nearby.
Took: Photo
Left: A favourite point for the clever hide .
Coordinates were about 3 metres off and contents and cache were in good condition.
Well done for a fun cache.

After arriving in NZ and checking into our hotel we went for a walk and found Westfield Mall. We stopped for a rest while walking back to hotel and found a cache. Our first in NZ and assuredly not our last.

Sorry about the generic logging but I have many to log from the mega in Kaiapoi.
I had a wonderful time at the Mega with my Mum and Nanna, I couldn’t have imagined it any better myself!

Parked nearby and wandered over. Driven past many times and finally stopped today.
Long time dream came true and we could visit New Zealand. NZ Mega was our maingoal and we had time to find others too. We travelled together with Veke68, Katsukka and tanjuli (+husband) and had great time. We used TVVK Fin (that is tanjuli, vipema, Veke68 and Katsukka) in mostly logbooks to save space.
Thanks for the cache.
Greetings from Finland.

Greetings from Finland.
Day #7 geocaching in NZ in good company (=tanjuli + husband, vipema, Veke68 & Katsukka = TVVK-FIN in the logbooks, most of the time), our last full day in Christchurch &NZ . Had a great time, enjoyed the sunny & warm spring day and found a lot of caches + saw so many interesting/beautiful places.
Thank you!!!!
Thank you!!!!
Last day of caching holiday in New Zealand with Tanjuli, Vipema and Katsukka.
Some nice caces more and then it's time to go home.
We logged mostly only TVVK-FIN to save space in the logbook.
Thanks!!

Mega trip to NZ with vipema, Veke68 and Katsukka, logged as TVVKFIN. Last full day in Christchurch, all good things must come to an end . Thanks for the cache.
Day three of the ChCh Mega weekend and today's goal was to make finds on as many different cache types in 24hrs... this was another type for the day.
Just not able to drive past perfectly good cache placements.
Signed as 'SEAC' South East Auckland Crew to save logbook space and time.

Came down to Christchurch for the 2015 MEGA with a group of caching buddies for the weekend. My first MEGA, and it was fantastic- loved every minute, the caching, the events, meeting other like-minded crazies (sorry, I mean cachers!!!). Our group found 283 caches throughout the course of the of the weekend, so apologies for the cut and paste logs- but it's going to take me hours to log them all!!!! All logs were signed as SEAC (South East Auckland Crew), to reflect our home caching base!
HUGE thanks to all involved in putting on the MEGA event, and also to all of the Chch CO's for the effort gone to in their hides- we found some awesome caches, including fantastic hides, and cleverly done camo.... well done Christchurch, you're an awesome bunch!
Third day today, our mission being to find as many different kind of caches we could. Stopped at this one along our route. A cool cache.... and a quick find, luckily! Thanks!

My first trip to New Zealand and travelling with Locus Cache and Team Jacob, we arrived on the day before the Mega and decided to spend some time caching in the local areas. This was easily located and found. Thanks for placing this geocache for us to find.
Dusted of the bike for a nice ride around ChCh great way to explore before he Mega gets to busy. thanks for the cache
parislaura, Team jacob and I flew to New Zealand for the 2015 Mega.
Never having been out of Australia before, this was a very exciting trip for me
Sadly our first 3 cache hunts after getting new SIM cards for our phones and picking up the rental car were all were all DNFs
After that though I had 6 finds
A quick find that left me wondering how the hint applied [?] poor Cindy

After several attempts where there were simply too many people around, a quick find on a Sunday morning right on dawn.
All in good order, TFTC.

Early in the morning with virtually no traffic on a Sunday. Found at last with Geo Jessie, had the chance to have a decent look around. TFTC

10 year old Master Beanso had this in his hand before Mr Beanso had finished reading one of the other logs TFTC
I searched for this one for some time, but came up empty. Nice to see a L4TB cache after so long!! I'll have time to come back. All good!
Had to make a mad dash trip to Christchurch to fix a machine that had failed overnight. Had been to site but required further parts from Auckland meaning I had to come back to Christchurch, book some overnight accommodation, I had 2 hours to spare prior to picking my parts up from the airport. I also needed dinner.
I posted my dilemma on the Geocaching NZ FB page and was inundated with the solution, forget dinner GO CACHING! Food overtook me, had a quick dinner and with the FB pressure mounting I hit the streets!
My first cache attempt had resulted in a DNF!!!!!!!
I initially couldn't find this and had to abandon the search as I needed to head to the airport and pick up my parts and head back to the customer and install!!!
Mentioned this to SplattyNZ whom I had connected with on FB and he actually found this later and messaged me a couple of hints.
After successfully installing the parts and getting the machine going I was heading back to my accommodation in the very early hours and JUST HAD to give this another attempt with a few more clues.
Parked very close and soon had the cache in hand!
Thanks to SplattyNZ for the clues and this would have to rate as one of the oddest hours that I have been caching!

Found on a near zero degree evening after an unsuccessful find just down the road after meeting up with a fellow North Island cacher who is also here on business.
This was very nearly my second DNF of the evening, however after sitting for a while, and after feeling all around and under the obvious structure, I re-thought where it could be and soon the penny dropped.
Many thanks for a memorable caching evening, this gets a fav from me, and seeing as it already has 10 favs, earns me my Geocaching Roadtrip souvenir.
Thanks!

Poor old Cindy, not the most loving owners eh? A few muggles about (as always on this corner it seems) but managed to get my name on the log. Cheers
Nice hide found on a wet winters morning with many muggle passing by but not worried about me. The cache was still dry. TFTH
After the frustrations of shopping for clothes in the crowded mall (people do this for fun???) we needed some geocaching R&R... We managed to extract the log with our trusty tweezers. Thanks for this well-crafted cache.
This cache was one of 350 found on a short trip back to New Zealand, which was principally organised so that I could attend my Great Grandmother's 100th birthday.
I have a great time and enjoyed a great variety of caches, most of which were new (ie published in the past couple of years ).
Thanks for all the great caches.

Nice hide. First find in this city & glad it was so nice. TFTC. Sunday afternoon so few intruders.
Never attempted this one before as we're rarely in Riccarton and always so many muggles around. But Good Friday meant not many people around and a quick find. Tftc
Funny - went at a high muggle time to just scout out for another visit. Best thought was to sit and just have a look at the possibilities. Then saw something that I have seen before when caching and so it proved, 'twas the cache.
3rd cache this evening the other 2 being DNF's so running out of time to find one for the day. This one was luckily in place and easily found after we heard what kind of find this would be at an event. Few people about at 11.30pm but still a few walkers to dodge in the search. Cool wee cache.
It was very quiet on a Sunday afternoon - so enough time for a good search and finally had the object in our hands. TFTC
Nosynel and I stopped for for a rest here while I found this cache she had already found. Fortunately I spotted it quickly, very clever hide! TFTC
Quick find and not many people around 8am Sunday. Getting the log out took a bit of time. TFTC
I had done a walk-by previously but with so many people around I didn't commit myself to a search. Tonight with some information just obtained at the nearby event at the community centre I made a quick find. TFTC (1568)
Oh MrDan01 if I had known you were going to hunt for this I would have come with you. As it was by the time I went and looked it was late and I was tired. Only a quick look before giving up as I had a long drive home.
After being in New Zealand for four weeks we are going home to Sweden tomorrow.
We went shopping and afterwards we watched the Christmas Parade. In between we logged this one.

Out an about for the last few night time caches needed for a challenge - and my GPS did not want to cooperate, as if it was too tired to do anything - just like me! Set off way past my bedtime, fuelled by some caffeine and the thought of even shorter nights coming soon... Love caching in the dark, although usually do so well before sunrise rather than this end of the day. Great fun though! Poor Cindy was indeed in no state to go anywhere tonight, so we had to take Hinemoana's waka instead... TFTC!!

Lots of muggles about but they are all to busy to notice us. Thought we were going to leave empty handed when the 'one more look' gave us the smiley. Found with Aoraki Sheep.
Parked in the nearby car park then it was only a short walk to this one. Looked around for a few minutes before noticing something that looked a little out of place. Found with debsnz
Had looked for this one before with no joy. Today it was a quick find. I had been way over thinking it and the hide is actually very simple. Had just long enough fingernails to extract the log which was fortunate as I never remember to carry tweezers. Amateur!!

We were in town for some errands and dinner. After dinner it was time to find this cache. We had looked two times before but always had too many muggles around. Found the cache easily this time. Nice hide!
Had to think about this one as there seemed to be things to put us off the trail, we were looking for something to do with a car!!!.... Lots of Muggles around but they were all so intent on getting where they were going. That they didn't notice us do our contortion acts... finally retrieved. And signed. thank you for this cache...
Out for a stroll in the evening, while staying close by, spotted the hide pretty quickly.
Thanks for the hide

I had an idea of what to look for here and bingo the rumors were true. Great hide. TFTC
Good, quick find which was good in such a busy location. If we'd read the logs before setting out, we would have bought the tweezers too. We were on a long haul caching walk so it was a good chance to stock up on the liquids! Poor Cindy! TFTC.
25/08/2014 9:15am Find #3655 I had bought a drink nearby that was near thermonuclear so I wandered up here to checkout the windmill which for years I thought was actually real but it's just ornamental. Up close it's looking a bit unloved. It certainly needed a cache to liven things up.
So with my hot drink cooling I sat down and scanned the area where my GPSr was. I was fixated on something else higher up but then I spotted it. Easy to retrieve I retreated to the car to extract the log. Putting it back took a bit longer as a homeless looking dude stopped off and searched the garden....I thought he was looking for the cache I was holding but no, he found a half full wine bottle and he was on his way. Maybe that's a different sort of caching? No one even looked at him so I was impressed with his bold 'caching' style. Thanks looking4thebroc for the interesting start to my day.

Finally passed here at a time without too many muggles. Armed with a hint obtained at this morning's event it didn't take long to find the cleverly disguised cache. Now off to the CITO to complete the month's souvenirs. TFTC.

Replaced the log. As others have mentioned, a pair of tweezers may be necessary to extract the log.
After the initial DNF, and with a wee nudge from Sonia, I have found this cache - needed tweezers to extract the log (which is full, by the way). Very cool container! TFTC!
So I've decided that it is time to try and tick off some more challenges. This time it's going to be a caching streak, see how many days I can go in a row.
Heading up to Christchurch to attend the first event for the new August Souvineer Challenges. Had an hour and a half to kill before it started at midnight so thought I had better collect my next streak cache.
This was just around the corner so thought I'd go visit "Cindy". After a little bit of waiting for the traffic to die down, I managed to track down the cache with not too much difficulty. Quick sign and replace before spending the rest of my downtime hanging out with the bouncer around the corner.
#2 for the streak.

The first search I was a fledgling geocacher and didn't know where to look. The next time I came back and was unsuccessful. The third time failed again but today was my lucky day. Yay .
Found quite late in the evening after returning Dad back home after his 80th birthday party. Had a bit of difficulty in searching as the intersection was quite a busy one and there seemed to be some gathering of youths at the other end of the carpark. After trying a number places without luck (mainly by feel) checked out another location and spotted the cleverly hidden cache.
Retreating to the car to extract the log - done with difficulty - hadn't factored in bring along the appropriate tool when leaving Wellington earlier this morning, eventually managed to extract and sign. Picking the moment between traffic, the cache was replaced as found. TFTC

Midday Sunday has a fairly high muggle factor, but I was lucky in that I zeroed in on the cache and grabbed it straightaway. Great camo! Tftc
I tried to find this cache at 8:26:00 p.m. on 11/05/2014.
As you can see I did not find it today. This could be for many reasons but mostly it is probably because I was temporarily blinded in the vicinity of the cache.
I will watch the listing and return to do battle at a future date
The chain-link fence probably had something to do with it.

Arrived in Christchurch today. It's raining done shopping and just out grabbing a few caches and getting wet at the same time. It's a nice place to walk around but would be a lot better if it were dry. TFTC.
Found it! Out for a walk after dinner and picked up a couple of caches along the way! Took a while to find this one then spotted a likely hidey hole and the cache was soon in hand! TFTC SL Cheers from Pippin and Muggle Wen from Melbourne!

An Overnight stay in Chch on a clear sunny night - what better way to spend the evening than an evening stroll grabbing some caches. Ok I actually saw this, grabbed it and then put it back, before pinching myself and regrabbing it - now that was the easy part - extracting the log without my tweezers which were back at the motel was the harder part. TFTC
Even after 9pm, and nearing dark, still couldn't zero in on this one. Still too many muggles around, and the torch didn't help either. Seemed to have pretty good GPS stability. Sigh...
#6941. Troodles got stuck in and found the cache before my search started. Last of 33 finds on New Years Day (I think that will be the high point of average cache finds per day for 2014 ).
Returned with StreetWalker after my DNF yesterday, this time it was after 8pm and was much quieter. That made all the difference. I checked out a place I didn't have the confidence to search before, and there was the cache. Nice hide. TFTC.
Called here this morning after breafast at a well-known nearby establishment. Considering how small this was and how many places it could have been, I susprised myself by finding it within only a few minutes. Dead accurate coordinates helped a lot. A nice hide! Signed log, TFTC
Quick find. getting the logbook out was the tricky part. After a bit of inventive thinking and destruction of personal property (my own of course) we managed to get it out.
during my trip around NZ, I have found this cache.
