Sadly a DNF for me. Walking up to GZ was easy thanks some geotrails. No luck with finding the cache and I had even tried looking for it from a different side of the concrete slabs.
Felt like finding a cache today so why not try a dnf that we've had for a while, sneaky Camo took a while to find but spotted it once we looked at it from a different angle, we added a sticker and a swap tftf
I wasnt planning to get two today, but its a bit out of the way here, so I thought Id pick this one up as well.Good thing, because Twitchers Rest gave me the slip! Here, I eventually returned to the most reasonable spot and there it was, after all!
I did find a snake. I gave it a fair look for a cache on the way in and out but wasnt too keen in getting too close to the ground today or peering in between cracks
Found It!
A nice walk in here. It took a lot of searching to find it, but eventually I looked from the right angle and spotted it!

LEST WE FORGET
I was after a good number of finds as well as a good walk today, so decided to start the *Fernleigh Track* series at Belmont.
Also, being ANZAC Day, I was looking for an appropriately themed cache as well. Unfortunately, of the two appropriate caches nearby, I was only only able to find one of them. But that's better than none.
Got ten caches plus an AL location and a nice walk with only two DNFs.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Arrived here wondering where this one could be. Then spotted something through the undergrowth. Possible.
Started the search and soon spotted the container.
Completed the legal requirements, re-hid and off along the track to my next target.
I should say that I do qualify for the Hider's Challenge - much to my surprise:
* 16 caches hidden
* 11 currently active
* 32 Favourite points
* 11 different D/T combinations
* 4 active x T2 placements (D1 - D2.5)
* 3 different active cache types
HUZZAH!

Parkrun in Belmont and then working my way back along the east side of the lake. Making sure I am home somewhere after lunch. Hopefully the rain holds off better than yesterday! Always look a little more

Thanks for replacing. Can finally tick this one off the list, and its close neighbour. It was certainly a reach, and the lantana is encroaching. Nearly gve it up. TFTC.
I forgot to mention that the container was full of water. THe log was dry in its baggie.

Had a look for the new cache and saw a lot of needles near the gz be very careful
Dropped by with the younger son, and replaced the missing geocache. Good to find again.
Cant reach the geo cache but I found the container a bit behind a concrete slab not accessible too overgrown
Having previously found this one and have checked on it from time to time, I had a look today on my way to Twitcher's Rest. I can confirm it is no longer there.
Spent ages in this cramped area at GZ. No suck luck. Third DNF for the day. Argh!
Not sure if you’re meant to go off track at all, found a spot that looked like it should be it but no cache :/
While I was out this way and heading back towards the picnic spot, I decided that I might as well extend my walk a bit and come to pick up another cache or two.
As I was heading further east I certainly noticed a specific odour in the air. Reading the logs, it would seem that there is a water treatment facility nearby. The smell reminded me of a suburb in Cape Town where they would talk about the "Pinelands' Pong" from such a poo-farm. Yet the facility in Castle Hill where I found a cache called "Hoof-Hearted" has none of the aroma. Must be a difference in the technology and methods of treating the water.
Anyway, it wasn't long before I was on the right track leading towards the cache, and soon I was checking out a likely hiding place at GZ. No problems in making the find, where I added my name to the log sheet and put everything back as found.
It's a good thing this isn't a Challenge Cache because I didn't tick many of the boxes on this one.

On the map the nearby "Twitcher's Rest" looked irresistable, however I found I was unable to drive into the area for these 2 caches, so walked in via the track from the NNW. I'm curious about how others handled this route, as there are repeated areas with water right across the track. I see some people walked the pipe! I jumped rocks for a couple, and went along the side of the water for a couple, but one required the pipe so I shimmied across on my butt. Fun! (I totally didn't think of trying to walk!) Straight after some motor-cyclists came past, all waved and they plowed straight through the water, sluicing water all over the pipe. Ugh OK, not keen to have to shimmy along a wet pipe near a water treatment plant... But all was good, I walked out via the NE path.
Good co-ords had me at GZ easily, where I quickly spotted the cache. Bit damp inside, but the logbook is AOK. Signed log and replaced as found.
As for my hides, I tick none of the boxes except for 8+ favourite points, thanks to my generous fellow geocachers. TFTC!

Out to do the nearby loop whilst visiting for the V8’s and the now cancelled KISS concert.

We were caching in some past caching grounds for us, we had near cleared the area out some time ago, apart from this little enclave, so today, making the most of cool, breezy conditions, set off on the trail. We were expecting an army of red bellied's to be swarming out in front of us from the creeky grass on either side of the track, and GZ was approached loudly, and explored carefully, before the nice dry hide was plucked out. We smiled, noting our friends in the recent finders.... TFTC Grahame Cookie
Our stats- (Team737 aggregate)
Total hides - 41
Active 40 (1 event)
FPs 88
DT combinations lee 11 Samuel 17
DT lines - Samuel has 6 in his DT grid
Cache types active - 5

Up this way after spending the morning doing some epic caches down Swansea and Catho way and thought I might have a look a little further north to see what else I can find. This area appealed to me on google earth when doing recce the night before and did not disappoint today. A unique area indeed!
After locating and visiting the cache on the peninsula nearby, I stopped to grab this one. The heavens opened up about an hour previously when I was caching by the air strip but thankfully it did not last at all and in fact it has been a beautiful and mild afternoon since! GZ here was a bit bushy and so I was not keen to pick up any more ticks (see previous log) ...but that went out the window as usual once I dived in and soon located the a-typical geocaching container and the log book within. We do almost anything for a find don't we? TFTC, Cookie!

Oh, BTW...
We've placed **11** caches thus far; 2x trads, 2x multis, 6x unknowns, and 1x CITO.
**10** caches currently active.
**87 total FPs** (55.5%).
**9 Diff/Terr combinations** hidden, 6x (54.5%) hides rated with Diff or Terr of 3 or greater.
We have two lines of only **3** in a row on the D/T grid at this stage: D3.5 (T2.0, 2.5, 3.0). Also a diagonal 3 in there as well.
We have **3** geocache types currently active.

Had two previous visits to this site some time ago and were defeated logging a DNF. Returned today by chance as we were rambling along on a dog walk. Had a look with the phone (not the GPS) and put a hand straight on it. YAH! finally logging a found. Unfortunately the pen did not work and we did not have one being on a dog walk so there you go. We will have to rely on our honest faces. TFTC
my last cache of the day on a great relaxing day out caching and walking. It was a really nice walk out to this cache, I saw lots of wildlife . I found the cache after finding another one nearby. Thanks for the cache GCookie tnln replaced as found sl
We had to revisit the area for another camping weekend and log a few more caches after the OZGeoMuster Mega weekend. It was a great bit of fun and still enjoying the area,
We decided to go for a stroll around this lake and grabbed one or two caches. Thanks! Me old Piping mate.

While still staying at Morisset we travelled around the area with whitewebbs collecting a few caches and this was one of them.
This took some time but after reading the hint we made the find.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Out and about caching in the area with Tassie Trekkers after attending the OzGeoMuster over Easter in Morisset and this was one we found after a bit of a search. TFTC
This was a very rewarding geocache. We cycled here from our accommodation. It was in the first place we looked and the GPS was very precise. Tftc!
A very pleasant ride from Belmont Pines Caravan Park took us past this spot and we were lucky enough to spot the cache in the first place we looked.TFTC
Doing a maintenance run to Twitchers Rest and checked on this one. Somehow water has got into the systema. Log was good. Set it all out to dry in the sun while we went to Twitchers Rest and by the time we returned everything was dry. Replaced as found.
found coming in from fern track, lots of causeways with flowing water, lucky the water pipe followed that way in to cross the water. left via the south way. nice hide and nice new log to sign. TFTC
We were on our way to do maintenace on Twitchers Rest so we thought we would check on the condition of this one as the CO doesn't pass this way very often. The cache had moisture in it and the log book was soaked. Dried out the container and contents (a marble) and left a fresh log sheet in a new baggie. Took the wet log with us as there was no point in leaving it there to turn to mush or mould. The container is in good condition so we're not sure how it got so wet inside unless it hadn't been closed properly one time in the past.
Quick early morning walk on a cool windy morning, brought along a rod and got a flathead on the way in, what more could you ask for - a fish, early morning walk and a cache.
Found it. Also found mud, mud and more mud. Geo-hubby happy, he caught a fish walking along the creek. Me wet muddy not happy, As if that's not bad enough it's starting to rain. great
Not a place I'll play hide or seek but a place I would hide a cache. Good spot and nice walk. Sign with scroggy88 on a pre engagement party cake pick up. That what happens when she sends two fellow geocachers out to do a pick up. Tftc
Felt like death walking in to this one having the cold. However found quickly and replaced with a log signed and a smiley placed. Thank you for the cache. Found with forbiddenground
Walked past this one a few weeks ago oblivious to its existence. Dodged the trail bikes and found it easy today. Thanks
Hi there Grahame Cookie. We found your cache "Hide or SEEK" at 10:47:00 AM today,. This cache makes our find count 10006.

We are attempting to log at least one cache every day, so we can add to our streak of "Most Consecutive Days Cached", which we started on New Years Day 2014. Our route today took us to and past some really dubious but sometimes scenic locations.
[/Blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: Container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Novelty Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Found at 3:48 PM GAFF1. We are sure we came down this way a few years ago to search for the final of a multi - can't seem to locate it now. We are also certain that we found a way to drive down here, but now it is all closed off
In this area there are still remnants of the defence that was placed to stop a Japanese invasion. There are tetrahedrons tank traps or Dragons Teeth scattered all over the place and when I approached GZ, I thought that it was going to be one of them.
Luckily the cache was not hidden too deeply and I was able to quickly grab it and replace it before the brewing storm hit the area - and it hit really hard just a few minutes later. Actually I think that the Terrain rating is a tad too high, but .....
Thanks Grahame Cookie.
Let's see if we would have qualified for the challenge if it was active:
1. 12 x Caches placed - yep! We have placed 88 (not all active and there are a few events in there as well).
2. 10 x of the caches are currently Active - yep! 63 currently active.
3. 8 x Favourite Points are accumulated from your caches - yep! We have a total of 392!
4. 6 x Different Difficulty / Terrain ratings combinations used by you in rating your caches - Yep! 26 different D/T's
5. 4 x of the D/T ratings of the caches hidden would form a line on the D/T grid - Yep! The longest line is 7 All Terrain 1.5 with a Difficulty of 1.0 to 4.0
6. 2 x Different Types of caches currently active. - Yep! Just 3 though

I remember when this cache was first published as a 'challenge' cache...and I must admit, I had a bit of a chuckle as I wondered if the CO and reviewer had ever read the guidelines since challenge caches based on hides is a big no no! After finishing work this morning, I decided to head out and grab a cache for the day. Having been down this track before to find the previous cache that was here, I wasn't looking forward to it as I remember how muddy the last trip was...and it was much the same again today. Fortunately I found a much simpler entry into GZ which resulted in a much shorter walk to GZ. As I approached GZ, I was greeted by two young kids on motorbikes enjoying the muddy conditions...and once the sound of them was too distant to hear...I wandered in to find the cache.
Gratias Grahame Cookie.

Much quicker find than I had anticipated. No hall of fame for me today, but one day maybe! Pen inside cache busted - did not have spare on me, sorry. BYO to all future cachers. TFTC
Found it easily but now I'm starting to wonder if there is some trick to this after reading the log. Might have to investigate another time.
TNLN but I did notice somebody else had left some panadol and I'm worried that it goes against 'the rules'. Can somebody please confirm? I'm home now but I'm happy to go back later and fish it out.

We walked the track around the water and had to navigate a small lake on the road to get to the cache. Spotted the likely GZ from the road, yep, a cache could definitely play hide and seek in there! Glad to say it was found quickly. TFTC Grahame Cookie.

We rode our bikes out to this one and found it surprisingly quickly. Nice spot that we've been to before a couple of times. Thanks
