I am archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in a prior reviewer note.
Hi UncleSamNZThis geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived. Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.RegardsTheCoddiwompler
Found the bent tree, but that was as far as my luck lasted. The area is heavily overgrown, with mounds of dead leaves, flax, branches almost knee deep over the forest floor. So if the cache is still there, it's possibly buried quite deep by now.
I made it way harder than I should have.
Hint is good, you tend to just misjudge the distance to GZ from tree. Keep it easy and you will find it.
Fair hide for a flax hide. Glad I can turn this into a happy face.

Thankfully found with a little help from some fellow geocachers (who we had come to visit) as our gps was a bit off.
The hint was very out of date and misleading. Please rewrite the hint. But overall in okay condition.
Found it eventually after serious looking. The hint is misleading, but recommend looking further right from the broken tree if back to facing the wall fun find overall
After reading some previous logs and the description I was a bit worried about this cache but was surprised that I spotted this almost immediately. The log, however, is not in very good shape and was not signable. The next cacher would be wise to bring a piece of paper to sign. Someone had used a leaf, but I only took a picture of the cache to prove I found it, if needed. Thanks!
Persisted with hunting on way back from loop and found it! Coords bit off but could be coz GOS kept jumping around. Was not in flax so have placed back in the nearest flax. TFTC
Log is wet through. Thanks for the cache was a quick find as was lying out in the open. Rehid better
Took Mr 12 awhile to locate this one, just when your about to give up, he spots something out of the corner of his eye, boooyah another smiley face added.
New paper has been added however the old logs are a big ball of mush.

Took awhile to find. Hint a bit misleading. Focused on the location coordinates and found it. Pretty spot. TFTC
Lockdown day 3 and yay! Turned the frown upside down. Quick find by Phil - not sure how we couldn’t find it last time. TNLN SL TFTC
Found! Thanks for the new slip of paper in the cache. TFTC. Time to discreetly fix my wedgie and head to the next cache
This took us a while exploring through the bush, but finally found. Didnt sign the log as it has got wet and turned to mush. Needs replacing.
My No2 grandee found this very easily. TFTC. SL which was on a temporary paper and rather wet.
Took at but of searching but we got there in the end - log a bit damp. Following hint 2 - cache was 4oclock. Cache 1,000 - TFTC.
Another one that Ryan found with his friend and they had no problems here, thanks for placing the cache.
I had to attend some staff training in Botany this morning, so afterwards took advantage of being over here to do a spot of caching.
After finding the Wishing Tree, I came along the other way to this Field of Dreams. Took a little while to locate the cache but got there in the end. Thanks.
Dropped off a travelling Pirate TB.

Found after checking a couple of likely candidate's, managed to sign the log ok, TFTC
Yet another trip to Auckland for me, this time for a nice long break over Queens Birthday weekend. Having had a great day caching on Friday, but a much quieter one yesterday, I was really keen to get out and about today.
I did wonder if the weather gods had it in for me today though, as the heavens absolutely opened up late morning, to the point where you almost needed a submarine to go down Ti Rakau Drive! But suddenly it all cleared up, so I left it half an hour to drain the worst of it away and then I hit the trail.
I had seen a couple of caches I wanted to grab last time I was here, but ran out of time on that occasion so thought I'd take another look today. Having parked up close by, it was an easy walk towards GZ. The Hint only helped so far, as there were several of theses within a 5m radius, so just took them one at a time until I spotted the cache.
I think the logsheet has been fairly wet in the recent past, as it is in several pieces within the plastic bag which has a hole in it. It is currently dry enough to sign, just, but I really would suggest that a new one would be a good idea, and a new bag to go with it. n.

The logsheet is in a sorry state, as the plastic bag has a hole in it so isn't protecting it as it should.
Out collecting a few more caches today.Spent a little while here looking around the bush but we are pleased to have found this one.cache is all good.
Looked and looked. Just about to give up for the day when I turn around and oh hey.. there it is. !!
A fantastic day out cacher hunting with the family, cache and log in good condition, thank you for placing the cache
We've looked for this one quite a few times and had no luck. After some searching we finally got it this time!
It is nearly the end of the school holidays, and what with LordCacher08's birthday and preparations taking up most of the time, as well as work for Mr. Kiwi, there had not been enough caching done in the past two weeks. So it was time to rectify that a little bit. It was a beautiful sunny day and after an afternoon coffee it was decided to get out and enjoy the afternoon sun a bit. But how? How else.
A plan was hatched to come down to this area between Golflands and Burswood to collect a few caches that were along a pathway which we had walked before and had no luck finding the caches along it. Today was going to be different. It was drier for a start.
We approached this cache and started to have a hunt around in the same place that we had been looking before. No luck there. Moved around a bit further (away from the cache) and still no luck there either (funny that). Then it was a closer look at the hint in order to find the correct entry place. Once there, it took a few minutes before Mr. Kiwi spotted the elusive cache. Once retrieved, the damp log was signed and the cache replaced.
On return, Mrs. Liver Bird and LordCacher08 had made friend with some four legged fur balls and were busy introducing themselves to each other. After a brief interlude it was off to the next cache.

TDBear is a slow learner. Disregarding the logs, tried the phone GPS option first – bad idea. Spent ages fighting flax, even found the stream and water pipe (nice quiet spot, but probably not many ventured this far off the beaten track). Tried again starting from the hint item, checked the time, followed some geotrails, and soon found it. Mildly moist but managed to sign. TFTC
Had to go back and re-check as my 2 o'clock was more like 1. Nice easy find then. Log very wet but just signable. TFTC.
After yesterday’s heavy thunderstorms I enjoyed some dry geocaching in the area. Took a while to locate as used the wrong object given in the hint. TFTC
Finally... I had looked for this one before and spent ages in the flax. This time I ignored my GPS and used the hint and quickly had the cache in hand. Not so much flax diving for me this time. The area was extremely slippery and boggy thanks to all the recent rain! Glad to finally have this one crossed off! TFTC
This time, having found the correct hint item, I ignored the coords and slavishly followed the hint. Soon had the cache in hand. Pretty sure I had looked here before. TFTC
Teamed up with Aiden29 and Merlot58 to find some caches in the East today. Flax is not our favourite type of cache hide. After expanding our search area, Merlot58 found this cache.
It is well known that I hate flax so I groaned when I saw GZ, but with the aid of the hint and an expansion of the search area I found the cache after a shorter search than I thought we were in for
This was a bit more difficult than we expected. Initially we focused on the wrong starting point, so after a fruitless search we expanded our search area and located something else which fit the hint. From there we searched and merlot made the find.
Attempted this about a year ago but was unsuccessful. Back then co-ords put me on something suggested in the hint which this time it also did but after reading other logs I widened my search and found another thing matching the hit only much bigger than the previous. Bingo cache soon in hand. Glad to have knocked this one off. TFTC
All three of us looked for this one, it seemed at the bottom of EVERY flax but no luck
Done in pitch black, with a torch too though, yes, the co-ords were out a little but not so much that they need adjusting, I just expanded my search a little, then the cache was mine! Getting close to dinner time, one more cache for the road and that's that. Cheers Sam.
Not a Feild of Dreams but Riverside of Flax !
Finally nailed it .....Thanks COs for getting me to walk this newish path/walkway to get 3 caches !

After having to hide a little in the middle of the bush while several groups went by; managed to find the cache. This one was a little damp so had to be very careful signing the log. TFTC.
Proved elusive for us today, some geocachers turned up while we were looking but headed off for another.
A hunt at dusk with the aid of a torch. Found it after a brief search. Thanks once again Uncle Sam
Looked but couldn't spot it, must have been close, will try again another time, too many muggles about
I did find it today, the 29th, but mysteriously wrote 1st March in the cache log. I need to adjust my watch! I've often walked along here and thought it was about time to look for a cache. The rain kept all the Muggles away today and the clue with the type of plant was very helpful. Thanks UncleSamNZ.
Sent the kidhaklas first but they couldn't find it so sent in the big guns and there it was clear as day

Found with my Mum, NewlynFam. Have now created my own account so am logging all finds I was present at and helped with.
I had a good giggle at this cache when we had to duck in the bushes to hide from the passing muggles! It was lots of fun!
I had a good giggle at this cache when we had to duck in the bushes to hide from the passing muggles! It was lots of fun!
Needed a cache for today for a 50-day caching streak I'm currently attempting with some caching buddies (including this CO!!! ), and didn't have a lot of time today after picking up junior NewlynFam (who is quite enjoying doing this 50-day streak with me!), so it needed to be a close one. This one fit the bill.
Pulled up to GZ and armed ourselves with mozzie repellant (we have learnt of late!!!) and prepared to do some bush bashing. The first spot my phone seemed to point us at was incorrect, so after trying and failing to find the second hint item- figuring it must have gone-, and having checked just about every one in sight of the OTHER hint item, I retreated in frustration to try and get a better reading. Oh, so that's why... it's over there
Reoriented ourselves and very quickly found the right spot, so thought about clocks as instructed by the hint (junior was actually very good at that!) and spotted a couple of likely hiding spots. It was in the second one we checked..... or should I say, I checked, as Junior NewlynFam was not too impressed at the spider she saw on my back, so she made me retrieve it
Signed and returned, and were just bush-bashing our way out when the world's largest family came strolling by. "Duck!!!" said junior, and I obliged, then we both got the giggles and struggled to keep silent until they had disappeared from view... when we beat a hasty exit and returned to the car.
Thanks for the cache, and the fun Sam- bush, muggles, spiders and all!!!!!!
This was day #24 of 50!

Glad to find it after trying twice with dog in tow who did not want to go the way I wanted to go. I did make it harder for myself too. I think I sounded like a herd of elephants. I have written the incorrect day of finding it - I put 28/11/15 should have been 26/11/2015. Thank you
Tftc. Excellent hints, especially the tree one.

Couldn't resist a Friday cache trip with the work gang with the day so perfect. Visited the nearby bridge cache and after a dextrous retrieval, headed along the walkway here.
Just couldn't get started with this one but there was NO WAY I was going to ask for a hint this time . Four of us poked and prodded in a variety of places, but to no avail. Next time maybe!

Working on completing our calendar matrix, and needed a cache to find tonight. Tried this one earlier in the week, but no luck in the dark, so thought we would try again in some more light. This time, found the more likely spot and came up trumps. Thanks for the hide!
I entered the GZ thinking this was going to be quite difficult but after a bit of scavenging around, the clues suddenly fell into place and there it was. TFTC
After my work meetings were done for the day I had time to go and find a few caches. Took a little while to zero in on this one. Hint helped to get properly oriented. Wasn't too hard after that. No trackable in the cache though. TFTC, Biggles.
I take it you mean the small tree but it has been moved around with other garden rubbish.
Checked flax but no luck

Thanks for the hints, otherwise I'd have been scrambling around forever (in jandals - not ideal Geocaching footwear!)
Didn't bring a pen with me but I walk past enough with my doggy maybe I'll remember to scribe my name in at some point

GPS was wandering abit so Mr P taking the hint literally dragged Mrs P off to the wrong side of the water... returning to the more sensible side I acted as the clock and let Mr P do the retrieving. T4tc
