Had a nosey at GZ and its very overgrown. Might be missing the obvious but had a string of DnFs out old coach road my caching mind is wearing thin...
Not our best caching day, 3 finds, 3 did not finds. Time to call it a day and continue our journey .
Out on the back roads grabbing a few of the out of the way caches. Greetings from Whangarei.
On a road trip with CamCat1. While searching for cache lots of snails were found also. Cheers
Nice easy find. Nice drive on the backroads. Will have to wash the car when I get home though!tftc
Came out for a back country drive this afternoon these caches are close to home but I always seem to drive over to Tauranga to cache and not through these back roads today I thought I would do these instead most of the caches were easy finds. Tftc
First for today on a day trip down to Rotorua, nice to have the chance to take a few back roads for a change to see the countryside. Parked up and could match the hint to the likely hiding spot so was rewarded with a nice, quick find. Cache is in good condition. No sign of a post office! Must say, your local knowledge of the area is really outstanding, well done. Thanks for the cache.
Lovely drive around with muggle mum today and so good to change this to a wee smilie find thx.
This cache has frustrated me on several occasions by not being there. A week or two ago, I noticed it had been replaced. Today was a dot day so, waking up whilst the family was still stacking zzzz's, I decided to drive out and grab it. Nice and quiet and an easy find of the replacement. TFTC.
Soooooo interesting thanks ; to read all about the Postal Service.
Nice to know the small building pictured had a second life at a school as a library.
You have done a huge lot of research...are you local?
Thanks !

Nice to see this one replaced was able to pick this one up while finishing few others along old coach road.
Was so pleased so see this cache has been replaced as we'd tried to find it in January without success. Was a quick find today since we pretty much knew exactly where to look. TFTC
Found this in a very obvious place with only one signature in the log. Clearly the cache has been replaced however doubt it’s in its original position and not sure if the hint still applies. Well it’s still good to get a smiley face.
We left feilding Friday night headed to Wanganui then Saturday our caching weekend began got 20 caches on our first day then 46 on the second day so far today got 20 now to enjoy this trail and the lovely green countryside. We have never done this area before so good to cache in a new area of New Zealand. Nice find here signed the log and placed it back exactly where where we found it. TfTC new log now has waterproof paper
joining the DNF club on this one. most interesting cache page to read but no smilie. pay to replace or check this thx.
Clue no help to us poms - the lowest I can remember is about 15p! Looked in the likely places - no joy:-(
It's still here, found it today. Just think very low.
I had a great time finding some of your caches today. Everyone different!
Thanks again

Another good hide. Had an idea what we were looking for and systematically searched around where coordinates led us. Quickly spotted. I suspect the "clue may have moved a bit but didn't hinder us. Thanks for the cache
Have no idea what the clues means gps looked after me today...some times those low star babies test you ...but found thanks woody for a great cache and some frustration lol
A bit worried about being so exposed while searching but thankfully the rain kept the muggles away and it was a straightforward quick find. Nice to travel these back roads as something a bit different to the main road. Thanks for the placement.
Was our 2nd attempt at this one. The first time was with our phone. This time with our new Garmin GPS and boy it is deadly accurate. We had found it within seconds. Love the history behind this spot. Thank you
#7377. Another quick stop on Old Coach Road. Very interesting history. Apart from the occasional passing traffic, the place was all quiet today. Found after a short search. Nice hide. The cache was in excellent condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

Another great hide. Totally missed this one at first. But a fast find on a sunny Saturday.
Decided to clean up this side of the bay and we made short work of this one thanks to the hint and accurate coords. I felt this cache was a little exposed so hopefully there's no muggle trouble.
I really enjoyed this one too, especially the history. No one would ever know the history of this unassuming intersection without this cache or doing some random as research - Cheers again WoodyNZ

We looked really really hard for this one. Spent a while here. Checked everything, even went further a field but still no cache.
Lying out in full view when we spotted it so once register signed we 'posted' it where not quite so obvious. TFTC.
Our son is learning to fly so it's interesting to discover the airstrips dotted here and there
We are having a lovely time following Old Coach Rd

We made this harder to find than we should have [after re-reading the hint]; thanks for the cache.
Hint meant nothing to me. Wandered back and fourth for a few minutes and found easily enough.
TFTC.

No where to post my letters today. These little post offices were an asset to country communities. Thanks for the history & cache.
No idea. Dunno what the hint meant and cords wanted me in the road, so could be anywhere.
Sincere apologies for the very late logging and the cut and paste logs ... long story.
Had a awesome day out with CatsandDragons exploring areas between Rotorua and Tauranga on the back roads. Came across some very clever originial hides that we hadn't seen before.
Many thanks

Today was the first planned trip for the new year in the company of Zorgon to collect as many caches as we could between the north end of Lake Rotorua, to Pukehina and back to Te Puke.
Heading inland and across country to collect a lot of lonely caches we soon located this one without too many problems. the cache soon revealed itself
thanks for the placement

Our fifth cache of the day. Took a quick search at GZ up so located and had the cache in hand. A nice, quick find. Thanks TFTCSL
I was back in the area again today so had a quick look after a dnf, lets just say the penny dropped for me today ! TFTC.
Out and about on a sunny Queen's Birthday caching weekend. The previous DNF logs made us all the more determined to find this one. Located eventually but only after disturbing every living creature within 5m of GZ. Sneaky hide TFTC.
Yeah yeah, awright it's there. Got the little mongrel this time. Last time your hint confused us because what we think of as the lowest denomination stamp is lower that what most people would know.
Dropped off a black one. lol Will upload some pictures later.
Thanks WoodyNZ.

We are starting to get cabin fever, with this horrible weather. Too bad! We are off for a bit of a stretch.
This is where our wheels fell off and got our first DNF for the day. We spent over 40 minutes scouring GZ and widening the circle. Well 40 minutes is nothing when compared with George Kelly's three day round trip.
The smallest stamp we remember is a half penny. Pronounced "Hapney"
Thanks WoodyNZ

Well we looked and looked and looked again... Nothing!! It must still be there but where??
Looked for 20 min with Jillymc
Clearly it must have been there right in front if us......will be on watch list!!

Drove past while mickl-missa was busy looking, should have stopped maybe. The cache is still in place though, checked again today.
Had a quick look put no luck this time, will try again next time Im in the area.
Finally remembered to stop on way past to check this one.
All present and correct.

I guess it had to happen at some stage today. Couldn't find this one despite spending quite some time 'pawing' over the site. May get to try again some time, although being off the beaten track it might take a while. Will keep an eye on this one and see if others are a bit more successful.
Grabbing a bunch of caches on the way home
Cheers
Had my kids with me - decided to create them accounts since getting home, so they haven't signed the log but they helped my find the caches!

Found with Hapisnaps today. I love the photo of the post office shed from 1925. Working there must have been a blast! (Not to be disrespectful to the importance of the service to the community).
Had a bit of a search before we managed to spot it. Not what we were looking for at first but the coords were good and that was a big bonus. As to the hint...we think we have it sussed in hindsight, but clearly weren't old enough to remember the penny. TFTC

Another interesting spot to visit while in the area today, a very enjoyable day's caching. A quick find here but I never understood the hint.

This was a good one to find as it was a bit different from the others. The first to spot this today was our uncle from Canada on his first caching trip. Thanks for the placement!
Fourth find of the day on our way to explore Old Coach Road and the geocaches on offer. A quick find down this country road - TFTC
After the last few camo jobs, the clue made me think this was going to be another good search to locate the cache. No such troubles on this on thou, as soon had the cache in hand.
'He who laughs last laughs best' --- and it is our turn to laugh at us !!! Much better that way
What a simple cache --- can not believe we could't find it before

To streak or not to streak... That is the question. Not sure I have the desire this side of the August challenge...
I held onto five Pongakawa caches in case I needed an emergency find. Decided to hunt them down today. Have heard from other cachers that these were tricky hides. I must have been on a roll because these were all found quickly.
I think I got the hint... used to collect stamps as a youngster and recall lower value stamps. In any case, walked up and put my hand straight on the cache. There were a few cars passing, but enough space in the traffic to do the business. TFTC... Please give us some more caches out here.
