lots of trash and broken glass around; not I place I wanted to spend much time tbh
The key to caching is looking down low, filled with ants and a damp log so unable to write on, tftc!
Spent a bit longer than I wanted at this one as my keys fell out of my pocket and I only figured that out when I got back to the car! Thank goodness I found them in the long grass.
Found the geocache but it's definitely not exactly where it would have originally been placed - evidence of that is nearby. Still, follow the coordinates and you'll still have it in hand. 3/3 for the day.

Didn’t really understand what the hint was, but the coordinates were good and with a bit of poking around found the cache quickly with kimbathelion
Wasn't sure of clue but we quickly found it once we got through the grass. Tftc
On a road trip with CamCat1. Quick search amongst the over grown grass, cache was soon found. Cheers
Pulled over to search and a lost soul pulled in behind us. So stopped for lunch before hunting. Log lost it's magnetic-ness
Took the quieter roads on our way home to pick up a few smiley faces. Added some magnetic tape to the cache. TFTC
Came out for a back country drive this afternoon these caches are close to home but I always seem to drive over to Tauranga to cache and not through these back roads today I thought I would do these instead most of the caches were easy finds. Tftc
Gosh.... I can't believe all the bits of rubber all over this massive intersection...
And the smell of burning rubber still lingers....
Had to scratch around for this...but I didn't give up !
Sorry had no glue to re fasten the magnet.....

We left feilding Friday night headed to Wanganui then Saturday our caching weekend began got 20 caches on our first day then 46 on the second day so far today got 21 now to enjoy this trail and the lovely green countryside. We have never done this area before so good to cache in a new area of New Zealand. Nice find here signed the log and placed it back exactly where where we found it. TfTC sorry about yhe copy and past we are enjoying uour caches.
The failed / missing magnet definitely adds to the difficulty of this one as it's not where you expect it to be and is rapidly burying itself. Still, I wasn't going to be beaten, despite disturbing a massive ants' nest when I opened something I shouldn't have, and now I have the satisfaction of turning the blue face yellow. TFTC.
yay a smilie here for meeeeee. had a good feel around and amazing what you find. put back as found as yes mag has gone.
This one was lying on the ground, just pulled it under after I signed, as the magnet doesn't work.
Hope that's where it was meant to be

Waded into the long growth for this cache and had an easy find. The road is being re-sealed so had to miss a couple of nearby caches out as the roading contractors were working too close by. Interesting history. TFTC
Wandered around for a while, but found it quite easily once we decided on the spot.
Quick find here. Container full of water but waterproof log and pen worked a treat. Thanks for the cache
Log very wet..as an old car club member remember this man well..have won a few trophies with name on and he has donated great legend Denny was..is thanks for this exciting cache Woody
All quiet around here today. Long grass made for a more difficult find. Stopped in the shade here to have lunch before heading off to next one tftc
#7378. Another quick stop on Old Coach Road. Very interesting location. Apart from the occasional passing traffic, the place was all quiet today. Quick find. The cache was in excellent condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

Found this one quite easily but cache is not water tight as log was saturated. So we couldn't sign the log.
Lots of kiwifruit bins rumbling past. Located the cache quickly but trouble signing as totally wet. Dried in sun but maybe it needs a new plastic bag. Another clever hide by WoodyNZ.
Kind of timely to our visit was hearing a motorcycle coming from the distance at high speed, he eventually passed us spectacularly then sped off into the distance roar fading as he went, quite an apt soundtrack to our geocache hunt

A busy intersection, a surprising number of people out and about fairly early on a Sunday morning - but then again, it is Mother's Day!
Didn't get the hint, don't know what it means but good GPS coordinates meant I found this quickly.

A wonderful drive in the country picking up some caches along the way. Thanks for the placement.
Found this one on our way home from having lunch with family down in Whakatane. TFTC
Sincere apologies for the very late logging and the cut and paste logs ... long story.
Had a awesome day out with CatsandDragons exploring areas between Rotorua and Tauranga on the back roads. Came across some very clever originial hides that we hadn't seen before.
Many thanks

Today was the first planned trip for the new year in the company of Zorgon to collect as many caches as we could between the north end of Lake Rotorua, to Pukehina and back to Te Puke.
Heading inland and across country to collect a lot of lonely caches we soon located this one without too many problems. the cache soon revealed itself. nice hint
thanks for the placement

I've actually never been on these back roads before so time to pick up some of these caches. Initially we couldn't spot it and thought maybe we were in the wrong place - quickly found though after checking the hint. Nice placement and it was a bit of fun watching my son wade through the waist high grass. TFTC
After finding where north was. Our GPS took us straight to GZ. We made a quick find, then signed the log.
Had no idea what the hint meant.

Heading home via some back country road's as you do when your a geo-cacher
Wasn't sure what the clue was, but it was an easy find anyway. TFTC

Out and about on a sunny Queen's Birthday weekend caching weekend, quick driveby find on an enjoyable rural adventure TFTC.
We are starting to get cabin fever, with this horrible weather. Too bad! We are off for a bit of a stretch.
Loads of traffic, must be a dirt bike track around here somewhere. We didn't see Denny Hulme but we did find the cache. Unfortunately it was soaking wet so we put in a new one, in a little plastic baggie.
Thanks WoodyNZ for another smilie face and an interesting trip along The Olde Coach Road.

Mr hpg was visiting a customer in pongakawa so I came along for ride. He was a fan of Denny so we were interested in grabbing this one. A quick find thanks
Cruised by to locate, unlikely to burn any rubber here, nice to learn about one of Pongakawa’s more famous sons too, TFTC.
After arriving at the GZ and having a quick scan around, we quickly fixed our sights on a logical hiding place. Sure enough a quick scramble soon saw us with the cache in hand. Thanks for another great cache.
I went with dad (kiwicavedweller) he logged his username but i didnt do mine!! nice cache, took a while to find. we acually gave up then came back. TFTC
Grabbing a bunch of caches on the way home
Cheers
Had my kids with me - decided to create them accounts since getting home, so they haven't signed the log but they helped my find the caches!

A good geotrail in the long grass helpful here. Good to have a find after two dnfs. Nice to read the history about Denny Hulme. Tftc

At last, we found one. Haven't had much luck along the Old Coach Road recently This one was readily found by following the geotrail. Now in true F1 fashion, we will race off to the next one while we are on a roll TFTC

Another interesting spot to visit while in the area today, a very enjoyable day's caching and a nice drive up this road.

Another great hide. Fortunately our uncle could help with the hint. Then the GPS led us to the correct spot. TFTC!
Fifth find of the day on our way to explore Old Coach Road and the geocaches on offer. TFTC WoodyNZ.
Followed the geotrail to the cache. Would of loved to see these cars charge around here.
To streak or not to streak... That is the question. Not sure I have the desire this side of the August challenge...
I held onto five Pongakawa caches in case I needed an emergency find. Decided to hunt them down today. Have heard from other cachers that these were tricky hides. I must have been on a roll because these were all found quickly.
The intersection was momentarily busy with passing traffic. The gps was taking time to settle, and I was drawn to two 'stones' before getting a better reading. The trail at ground zone was interesting, but the cache was well hidden. TFTC... More caches out this way please

Enjoyed travelling these back roads on this cache trail great time of night of be out and about not needing to worry about any prying eyes. Caches all nicely placed so as to be hidden from nearby properties.
Shame some cachers are up to their cheating ways again and have been through the area collecting the caches and then claiming them each day to collect the daily caching souvenirs for August. Took photos of a couple of logs although anyone can work out who it was - Guess we should be grateful that he even found them, he has a tendency to claim ones he hasn't even located. TFTC

phone was sending me round in circles went to what I thought was the 2 most likely areas to no avail, then headed upwards and a little rummage and soon spotted, tftc
#179 - Nice series of caches! I really enjoyed finding all of them. Bonus of learning about the local history too!
Partner got the hint right away again!! Went to the most logical spot, and i could see straight away where cache was by all the recent activity!! so i covered it a lil so it wasn't so obvious!

The lodestone in the hint had me stuffed but the gps took me straight to a logical spot & the cache was soon in hand. Thankyou.
Not a McClaren in sight but several buses rumbled past as we were head down, bum up
Tricky one this but there it was sitting and waiting.

On a trip down to Matata and I thought I would stop for a few new caches. Cache quickly in hand and all god. Thanks again for some more history that I didn't know about it. Thanks for a great series TFTC
Stopped at 3 pongakawa cache at 5.30pm, this the only one i could find, geez was tough too.
FTF thank you. First one ever. Nice park and grab which doesn't attract too much attention.
