Hi bumandworker
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.

Out and about in Motuekbut on the road up the Takaha Hill getting caches that I won't be able to get with the snail shell on behind.
Seeing that I hadn't found it before and being an avid cacher I had Hobson's Choice here.
Cheers for the cache.

At arrival at GZ, the film canister was laying 1m next to the rock. The next rain could have washed it away. Now it's back in its hide and secured with a rock. TFTC
Nice and easy find. We stopped here as we had a 'clean green' car in front of us and run out of fresh air in our car.
Found heading up the hill over to Takaka. Safe to stop and hunt.
Next person bring extra paper!
Nice job again B+W. Thanks for all the work you do!

One of the many caches during this year's vacation. Thanks to all of you who contributed in hiding and maintaining those caches. You are those ones who made this hobby possible.
Heading off to Howards Hole and decided to stop for this along the way as there was an easy pull out spot. Interesting to see where some of the road damage from the slips is.
Nine days to do some caching for the price of four leave days - who could complain about that! I found a quirky place to stay near Motueka, ad decided to base myself there to cache in the wider area. I had a few on my hit list, and ended up finding a great variety of different caches on the trip.
Day two - after having to wait at the lights at the Riwaka end of the hill for an hour (they were broken and we were not keen to head up facing the large truck, so we called and waited for someone from FH to come ad fix it), I realised that it was too late for my original plan, and decided to take a more leisurely approach to things - and shorter walks. There are always interesting caches to be found!
No problem to pull off and walk over, and not many cars coming past this time of the day. TFTC!!

Up from CHCH visiting family in Richmond...and now a couple days in Golden Bay for some exploring. Our couple days in Golden Bay over; this morning we had a few things to visit in and around Takaka before heading back to Richmond. TeWaikoropupu Springs ticked off, Labyrinth Rocks, tick.......Rawhiti caves, tick. Hot as. Time to start heading back to Richmond.....nice stop off on the way downhill. Easy as...funny wee spot! Cheers.

Found with NZDi. After spending the past month or so stuck at home preparing our house for sale, the looming long weekend called for something special. So three nights were booked in a motel in one of our favourite places... Pohara and early on Friday morning we headed across the hills (firstly the Whangamoas and then the Takaka Hill). We didn't get off to a great start being held up slightly with a flat battery... perhaps I should have taken heed of what the AA man said a few weeks ago when he did a call-out to my address for a similar fault and bought a new one. Fortunately I have become self-sufficient in the flat battery rectification stakes and this was rapidly rectified. Knowing that we were going to a few out of the way places on our weekend endeavours and note wanting a similar experience, I purchased a new battery as we went through Nelson (I couldn't do it in Blenheim because we left too early).
The plan for the weekend was to do some caching in the Golden Bay area on Friday and Saturday, celebrate our 34th wedding anniversary on Sunday with a little more caching but some more traditional anniversary activities, and then do some more caching on the way home.
Our initial plan was to head into the Canaan Downs and do some of the caches in there, but this cache was beckoning before we got there. The CO commented it is best to attack this cache when heading downhill towards Motueka which confused me as the cache appears easier to get going in the opposite direction, which is what we did.
A QEF PnG.

Walksabit and I are continuing our tour of the west coast of the South Island and today we are headed for Cape Farewell. Walksabit pulled over for a photo op and I looked for this cache. Nice spot to stop and take a look around. Thanks for placing the cache here.

Today a scenic route in this area !
On the way around the world I also found this cache.
I strolled over to ground zero and searched for a short time and found the container.
The coords are right on the mark. The cache is in good condition and the log paper is nice and dry. I took nothing, left nothing, and signed the log paper.
I carefully replaced the cache at the same place.
*thanks to bumandworker for your cacheSSSSSSSSSSSS*

Another tick on the hill. Today this was the only quiet spot as the world and his wife headed to the Luminate festival up on top. TFTC.
I'd been trailing a parade of campervans for the last few kms and so was glad to have a reason to pull over and let them move on a bit.
No one waiting here when I visited - would there ever be anyone here? - so I was able to make a quick find.
My last find for a busy, but enjoyable day.
Thanks

Because of the earthquake we had to change our journey. We canceld our tour to Kaikoura and went earlier to Abel Tasman Park. We had a nice Cottage near the sea in Motueka. This afternoon we took our rental cache mobil for visiting the mountains in the near. We found this one very quick. I love park and grab GCs.

Heading to Takaka for the long weekend. Just picking up a few caches on the way. Thanks for the caches it made the trip over the hill that bitt more interesting
Today is another Hunt-The-Souvenir day. But instead of heading out to either of the two local earth caches, TaybeeDragon and I are going to Takaka instead. The forecast was rain, so we brought raincoats, so naturally it was an awesome sunny day.
The plan was to do all the caches on the left of the road as we head up, and then do all the caches on the left of the road as we head down. But the traffic was so light we did them all on the way to the summit.
Yup, this cache is a classic hobson's choice. Shall we do it, it shall we skip it? Duh!

Its Souviner Hunt Earth Cache Day- Road trip to Takaka via St Arnaud! Hey What! Lets Go.
Its still early and very little traffic so we end up crossing the road to park for this one. Another quick grab. Cheers

Our last find for the day on a very enjoyable trip to Golden Bay. First glance didn't indicate there was a cache there but after removing some dense spider webbing the cache revealed itself, albeit under rather than on what I expected it to be.
Thank you bumandworker.
Thank you bumandworker.
A wonderful day caching in a new direction that's so close to home yet was never attempted has come to an end. And what a wonderful day it was. For us it would have been better to park going up rather than down the hill. No matter, a smiling finish for the day. Thank you Bumandworker
Woo hoo. Easier than we had feared. Log is a bit wet and was pushed into container a little far down so bring something long and thing to bring it out. Great stash. Good way to break up the trip over the hill. Thanks!!
Looking at the name of this cache we knew roughly which area we were heading and after managing to cross the road a quick find was made. Signed the log as well looked down the valley TFTC
Last for the day as we meander our way back home after a satisfying day out with caches thrown in !! thanks for all the caches we did today
An intriguing question. There is a "driveway" just up a bit. Maybe their property belongs to this locality.
Enough thought for one day. Off to the next cache.

A quick easy find. No implement needed this time, as the lid has gone, and the log was sodden. We replaced it with a waterproof logsheet. TFTC

A day trip to Nelson with my caching daughter nightowl19 and to boost her, and my, South Island cache finds. The day was 'planned' around the earthcaches at the top, and bottom, of Riwaka hill and entailed few inevitable stop offs, park and grabs, small walks etc, you get the picture. In the end we grabbed just over 20 caches and I moved closer, but not yet at, my target of 3000 finds (that will be done tomorrow)
Had a great day including a swim in the sea at high tide at Tahunanui, seeing the Riwaka resurgence and a fish and chip supper on Nelson waterfront, getting 'home' at 9.30 (for the second night in a row).
Temperatures today ended up reaching the magical 30 degree mark, too hot for some caches in the end so the plan was reduced a little bit.
A small 'diversion' on the way through Richmond to try and find ten normal (not Premium member) Traditional caches, as was the intention for most of todays finds as nightowl19 isn't a Premium member.....yet
Been a couple of weeks with no b&w caches, soon change that with this find

It's been many years since we had been to Golden Bay, and a long weekend seemed an ideal time to reacquaint ourselves with the area (and find a few caches as well ).
Had forgotten how dreadfully windy the road over Takaka Hill is and was pleased to see lots of pull-over areas so I could let the cars behind pass. Not long after we started the climb, we came across a tractor which was driving even slower than me. It pulled over to let us pass, but as we kept stopping for caches, we played leap-frog with it several times [:o)].

Quick find on way back home after FTF at Ngarua Caves. Log book very wet. TFTC
I made my own choice and found it on the way to the bay. Good parking on that side and a short walk back. Cache container broken - maybe perished a bit but log still absolutely fine. TFTC #5690
Today was a trip from Nelson to Ngarua Caves with some side deviations showing our German visitor around the sites of the area. A few caches along the way were compulsory of course. Did as the CO advised and stopped for this one on way back down the hill. A nice quick find. TFTC

A quick find on the way to Takaka late this afternoon, picking up caches that have been placed along the way since I was last here. I have found enough b&w caches that as I approached GZ I could take a pretty good guess as to where it was and I was right. Signed log, TFTC
Made the choice to stop and grab the cache as we made our way back to Tukurua, TFTC, #6131
My last cache of the day on the way back to Golden Bay from Nelson. A good parking spot at the little shelter about 100m uphill from GZ, and a nice wide berm to walk along. So safely achievably no matter which way your travels take you. TFTC
We found it on a short walk from car-park. It is a beautiful view.

Seemed an appropriate choice for Mrs Sobad today. Cricket on ... so not way could we do a team trip. Mrs was keen to get to Kaiteri before the crowds and not watch cricket - but we had found all the caches we qualified for there. So she went anyway and found this as a sort of nearby cache - given she had little choice. Carried on up the hill afterwards.
Thanks.
Thanks.
An aptly named cache as there certainly weren't many choices of places to search.
Thanks bumandworker for the cache.

We did the uphill option. No worries in the Suzuki. It does make for a more interesting journey when there are names to read along the way eh. TFTC
After a DNF at the Simpleton's Multi this was a fairly quick park and grab. I've seen these containers in this sort of hide before so it didn't take very long to find. TFTC, Biggles.
