#372Quick find on a day out hiking, TFTC!

We had come to Mount Tamborine for the weekend while one of the kids had a camp nearby and it was almost time to pick them up. We decided we had just enough time to duck down and grab a few of the caches in the reserve. Hopefully it wont be too long before we can return to complete the rest of them. Thanks Bumblepie

We drove down the road and saw a walking trail heading down into the depths of hell. And then another heading up into the heavens with such an incline that you needed your calves to be holier than you.Today Mrs Woodyrothwell and I had been driving all over Mt Tamborine and had come to a critical juncture. Do we cache on and walk on a trail, or call it quits and head for home for some wine? One of those options contains wine and the other one has already been forgotten.So we decided to call it a day and head for Coomera to see if we could buy a picnic basket. tftc

Today we dressed up in woolie jumpers and treated ourselves to Christmas dinner at the fox and hound pub. This was extra special as it was officially 1 month since our daughters birth and my mum was here from England. Perfect excuse to get some caches in while up the mountain. TFTC ??

No4 for the day. Working off the big lunch.

Took the KG kids out to do some caching now the 12yo has a caching bag of tricks. Took a while but she deciphered the clues and came up with the goods!

Had to leave the accom or geodog was with us today. He was very unsure about someone sharing his back seat too. He thought exploring in the opposite direction was more fun than getting the cache. Luckily I was part of a team today. Tftc

Council was parked near this one, but they soon moved on after we pulled up. While the let the dog out fir a wee walk Ratdog12 and I grabbed the cache

My plan today was to do the PYSHWL series but I got here and found the track was closed. So I quickly grabbed this then headed off to do the OTT series instead. Thanks for the cache

Mt. Tamborine is not far from us and it is always such a pleasure to come to this part of the world. First we walked the Witches Falls Circuit and then spent some time finding some caches. The cache was located very quickly. TFTC Bumblepie

Find #27 for us. We were on a spontaneous morning trip up the mountain and came across this trail. Found this cache and decided to come back another day (when we are more prepared) to find the rest on the trail.

Today oz_bean_counter and I headed to Tamborine to grab the new OTT geocaches. After a fortnight of wet weekends, today was clear and calm and cool and perfect for a geocaching walk! Many times I've been to Mount Tamborine but not for a while, and never before to this area, so it's all a bit new.

We headed down the trail we needed to, and back up, up, up. But with beautiful views, nice company and such a perfect day it was all very enjoyable. Back at the top, I noticed we were just a handful of metres away from this geocache. Well, it'd be rude to not take a few steps and grab a bonus smiley!

It only took a brief hunt at GZ for me to find the container. I had to sneaky-sneaky sign the logbook as a few muggles had arrived, but realistically there was enough bush between them and me, that they'd have never noticed anyways.

Cute story about the name - I did wonder for a moment what the reference was! With this geocache found, we're done on the mountain today and off for another adventure. Thanks for this geocache, Bumblepie

This was a bonus cache found on the way out to the OTT caches. Simple, lovely cache.

Today there was some sneaky business planned out this way with Pprime, Herbz, T4mmmy and Fangsoki, so after breakfast at a nearby establishment, we made our way over here. While I was distracted on a work-related phone call, Pprime stole back his pen from my hair, and quickly had a cache in hand, adding our names to the log.

Team Herbz, 1MinnieMoo, Pprime, T4mmmy, and I were in the area and decided to drop in on this cache after breakfast.

We soon found the beast in good condition. A nice place for a cache. TFTC Bumblepie

Happy day, fun walk. Found this cache with friends

I headed down the coast with The Green Geckos and Muggle65. We had three caches as target today then added 6 more. I found 16 today and unfortunately 2 DNF.

According to the GPS the road ends at the big conservation sign but there’s about another 600m of bitumen before the road ends. There’s a spot at the bottom to turn around.

Drove up the mountain to grab the AL and a few extra caches that we had missed on earlier trips.

We drove down this road over 30years ago when it was a 4WD track all the way down. Today we had to stop at the gate but GZ was very close. Went to a spot that looked likely and quickly had prize in hand. TFTC Bumblepie.

I had this place in mind for some geocaching today. I really wanted to do the series in this conservation area - and I knew there was a cache or two before I set off. This one was found quickly. All's good, everything nice and dry. Made my mark then set off downhill to find some more. Really nice place for a walk. Thanks Bumblepie!

Been coming to M Tamborine for years and never new this part existed. Went birding and got a few caches as well. Excellent clues. TFTC

We decided that it might be cooler at Mt Tamborine today to go caching and it certainly was. An interesting drive down the road to arrive at the parking spot. The others on this trail will definitely be for another time. Thanks Bumblepie.
