I was here on the same day as Astro but the number of people out me off even though i could see it.

So I put a watch on it and after seeing Astro's log I made the effort to get down here.

Found in the spot Astro left it.

Will reassess ASAP

20-Oct-13
Well that was interesting.. I looked and looked and looked. I could see the thing. I managed to climb up but could not figure out where the log book was??

What to do?

So I had a sniff around and found a container that I think fits the "home" in the nearby water sprinkler pit.

I signed the log and replaced the container in the pit.

Dearest Kitty, you may want to have a think about this one. I certainly earned the stars today. [:X]

TFTC to ~*KittyKat*~ from TeamAstro.

By wearing my Fluro vest, I felt more confident carrying my device towards the cache..

Thanks ~*KittyKat*~ for the cache Smile

Only an occasional muggle walking by today (impending storm expected). Needed my special "tool" to get and replace (plus a little bit of stretching!). Thanks ~*KittyKat*~

23-Sep-13
This is one of 7 D/T combos I still need for my second 81 Matrix, so this morning it was a case of picking the low hanging fruit first.....
The picking of the fruit proved to be a relatively simple exercise but the cache return turned out to be a whole lot trickier.
My tip to future finders: Do NOT go here at 8am. Every man and his or her dog is out at this hour and this being a high retiree area, they are in no hurry whatsoever to move on. This morning I was on a fake mobile call for nearly 20 minutes before there was sufficient a gap to put the cache back in place!

Still, it was an enjoyable cache and the views over the marina (especially on a calm 24C day) are quite beautiful.
Thanks for taking me here ~*KittyKat*~

Not sure about the terrain rating. Found quickly, easily and safely.

Found quickly. TFTC

14-Sep-13
We were expecting a bit more, considering the terrain 5 rating - all hyped up over nothing Sad! Didn't even get the ladder out for this one (but did use a step) Wink.
TN Left TB. SL.
Having said that, all the muggles were much more interested in the marina than in what we were doing [8)]. This is an interesting view of the marina we hadn't seen before Smile.
Happy 50th birthday Locus Cache Big Grin.
Thanks ~*KittyKat*~.

We went over-prepared. Ready to face the toughest of terrains. The cache was in our hands without any significant effort. Nice place. And from what we know nice circumstances in which the cache came to be! Thanks! TN, LN, SL.

01-Sep-13
I brought a ladder and a 16 year old daughter. The daughter climbed on my shoulders and gathered the cache. Bring a daugher. They are useful for something.

Up before the crack of dawn. Whipped down here before the locals began to stir... (Oops, not quick enough, they're everywhere!) Set up stand, grabbed cache, signed in car, back up, stand in boot and away.

Thanks for the cache, ~*KittyKat*~

17-Aug-13
Dinner came, phone dingled in that tone that makes my heart skip a few beats, while trying to convince Rodney that "dinner will wait" and "why are we still here?", I dashed out the door followed by a chorus of "Go get it Lioness" only to get out the door and have no idea which way cos the phone wouldn't load fast enough!

I bolted around the corner to follow a shady looking bunch of people to find that DPA had already monkeyed up to get it! Blast!
Had to wait for the locus(t) to sign as she swatted the stampers away then I got it, heehee.
Nice!
GREAT plan Kat!
Wink
Now, what did I order for dinner again?

This cache was cool. we were wondering why everyone went outside, someone said quick while they are still out there so we went to find it. tftc sl

Mr Tardis was at the nearby event eating dinner when all the phones went off with a new cache email notification. It was quite funny to watch the first to find hounds rush out the door. Meanwhile Mr Tardis finished his lovely dinner.

After dinner I was in the second big assault group who went out to grab this one. I didn't really earn the 5 star terrain rating with the cache being handed to me. A well timed cache and Happy Birthday Locus.

Signed the log. Thanks for the cache ~*KittyKat*~

17-Aug-13
it was nice to have a new cache published in the middle of dinner, I didn't realize as I don't have notifications on my phone. we were wondering what was going on and caught up with the second or third lot that went to get it. Lucky I had an 11 year old with me that got lifted up to get this one. tftc sl

Absolutely hilarious, now to pick myself up off the floor... Happy Birthday locus cache!

17-Aug-13
Found and signed in the second tranche.
Glad we had Ben with us as I wouldn't have attempted if I was by myself.
The first group scedaddled out the door leaving plates of food, had I realised this I would not have ordered!
A great tribute to a dedicated cacher.

Great cache and great fun watching son Michael, using Leanne's back, returning cache to its hidy hole Smile happy 50th Kaye

17-Aug-13
Bugga dinner. There's a new cache and it's just around the corner. Quick, let's go. Aah it's there. Never mind, with ttrogg beneath me (hoisting me up guys) I managed to retrieve cache and bring it down. Locus arrives with equipment, as always, prepared for anything. Not sure of exact numbers hovering around but it can be classed as a mini event. So, basically a very enjoyable group FTF. Thanks KittyKat for the cache and a very Happy Birthday to Locus Cache. TFTC

17-Aug-13
Also found with the second tranche of searchers - a very manly group, who shouted wise words of advice and encouragement to young Ben as he made the retrieval. TFTC KittyKat and happy birthday to LC!

17-Aug-13
Located as part of the group assault on this one while at the nearby dinner!!!! Happy birthday Kaye and thanks KittyKat for a fun diversion on the night!!!!

Not sure what number we were but we came out as another group were coming back and they turned around and helped Jordan up to get the cache. Tftc sl.

17-Aug-13
Was at the nearby event - International Geocaching Day - Party Time - when the word went around that there was a new cache published ... and only 100m away ... the really serious cachers forgot about the plate of food in front of them and raced out the door.

I still had half a burger and chips to go ... so wasn't going to let the go cold.

But was able to finish these and race out the door and add my name to the log book before it went back in position.

Happy birthday Locus, and well done KittyKat the placement and timing of the release of this one was spot on!

Seek3r-ed and found!

Joined in the group find from the nearby event.
Obviously a very good trap as it was successful in attracting locus and many more of us.
Great idea and great timing KittyKat!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY Locus!!!

17-Aug-13
We attended the International Geocaching Day Event and having had a great afternoon picking up caches on the way, we decided to continue the fun on the way home. This time Dr Owl and brisal5 joined us on a very pleasant caching outing.

This one was published during the event. Quick we need a ladder. Now who would carry a ladder to an event?????????????

TFTC KittyKat. I guess we were one of the multitude of first to finds in the first few minutes of the cache being published.

17-Aug-13
Happy 50th for Monday Locus or now known as "The Wise Old Owl" Wink
Some took off like mad idiots during dinner, but I was happy to be the 4th or 5th group to go out. Scargoes and son Michael joined me after dinner to go find. We ended up in fits of laughter as it ended up being harder than it needed. Micheal ended up using my shoulders for support.

Cheers and thanks for the fun Kittykat. Cool

17-Aug-13
First Happy Birthday Kaye. I sat and ate most of me meal before going for this one, might as well have a hot meal while it is hot. lol.

On the way back we meet some of the McKee's and go back to help as I was carrying the ladder, in the end we simply hoisted Jordan into the tree to collect the cache. Smile

Found after the celebratory drink next door.

Thanks

Found with a few of the Event attendees - nothing like a little bit of fun with a ladder SL Thanks from PG06

Day 17 in a row for 31 days of caching in August. Cool. Snuck away from the International Geocaching Event with a zillion others to get this one. What a wonderful birthday surprise kittyKat. Big Grin

17-Aug-13
What perfect timing sitting down at the nearby event when halfway through tea a new cache is published, commitment levels those who left full meals on the table to disappear out the door for the elusive first to find to those that finished their meals and ambled out in small groups to sign the log Tftc

17-Aug-13
waiting for out food at arrive when everyone is heading for the door, a new release not far from here, hopped up to join them and just down the road there was a cache with its little treasures for the finders, this one deserves a favour point : )

17-Aug-13
Well. That was funny - the mass exodus from the pub right in the middle of dinner!! Couldn't hear my phone so it took a while to work out what was going on. Well finished my haloumi pumpkin and chicken salad then went out to see what the fuss was about. Had a second go on locus's special caching tool in one week. It's brilliant!!

Thanks so much for the cache ( and the entertainment and cupcakes). And for the 5. It was our first!! Nice to meet you finally Kat.

Luckily for us the planets aligned on this one. We had finished our meals by the time the cache was published, so there was no decision to be made. We were part of the Joint FTF Team! It was fun watching people's reactions to the timing of the cache being published. Kitty Kat, who was sitting opposite us, was rather amused too. Thanks for placing this cache and giving us all such great stories to retell at every event to be held in the future ;D

17-Aug-13
With every FTF aficionado in the house, the only way Owl was going to get a FTF on this one was to join the mob. Fortunately the mob was slow in forming, so while Locuscache headed to her car for the ladder, Owl, Ttrog and Don’t Panic Arthur scouted out the cache. Owl is claiming FTS (first to spot). Ttrog and Don’t Panic Arthur formed an impressive human ladder to retrieve the cache, but they were not fast enough to log and return before the caching multitude turned up. Owl was also FTS (first to sign), but not FTS (first to site.com log). A wonderfully thoughtful present to Locuscache for her birthday.

17-Aug-13
Joined in with the post-dinner exodus to locate the cache. Thanks ~*KittyKat"~ for the entertaining social study in segregating the excessively-obsessed from the moderately-obsessed. Still wondering why no-one brought the logbook back to the venue where we could all sign in comfort???

17-Aug-13
While sitting and waiting for my dinner to arrive there was suddenly a mass exit of people off to get the FTF on this cache. I however sat and waited patiently for a burger that was too big to eat with any type of dignity.

As the night was drawing to an end, I grabbed a bunch of ladies and Skippy to be the last group assault on this cache, thankfully Locus still had her ladder handy, so off I went to climb a tree.

Lots of giggles all round, for a fun cache. Thanks KittyKat for some more fun during the dinner tonight.

17-Aug-13
I was part of the second coming - the ones who finished their meal before heading out into the wilds to find a new cache.

Thanks for the cache KittyKat - it was fun to watch the FTF hounds dash out.

17-Aug-13
I had not finished my meal so waited for the 2nd wave to head down for this one. Took the ladder but didn't need it - we had Ben. TFTC. Big Grin

17-Aug-13
Found It!
Someone said we needed a ladder so Firesafe got his ladder (in a bag) out and we wander over to GZ. I soon spotted the cache and thought "You don't need a ladder to get that!" Just a quick little climb and the cache was in hand!

FTF at just after 1900 with lots and lots and lots of others.
Had just sat down after ordering our meals when the phone goes beep and tells me about a new cache.
Only 117 metres away !!!!
Cache owner sitting 3 seats to my left mmmmmmm
When I attracted Kaye's attention she thought I was joking until I showed her the listing.
By the time we got to the door the word was out.
Kaye went for the tool and Doctor Owl, Don't Panic Arthur and I headed for the cache. Doctor Owl spotted the hide and I boosted DPA up to make the retrieval.
Then the mass signing began.

Many thanks to ~*KittyKat*~ for the excellent timing of this cache.

PS Did I mention FTF #100 CoolCoolWinkBig GrinBig GrinBig GrinBig GrinBig GrinBig Grin
Had been out on a FTF hunt in the wee hours this morning but so glad I didn't stay long enough to share the spoils (Locus stayed almost another hour before making the find!) as this one seems so much more auspicious to have as my 100th FTF.

Thanks again to ~*KittyKat*~ for the excellent timing.

17-Aug-13

just managed to get there in time to sign the log as ftf first group.

thanks ~*KittyKat*~ for the great cache for a crazy cacher

Now a caching event can't get any better than having a new cache published while the event is on!
Although, I must admit that I thought ttrog really was joking when he said 'new cache 100m' Surprised
Luckily for me, because I had been talking (now there's a surprise) so much I had been one of the last to order tea so mine was not yet on the table! Cool
I debated running out on my own however figured that a mass FTF event would be nice so I politely yelled out to let everyone know that a new cache was waiting to be locus cache'd. Can't believe some people thought tea was more important Wink

~*KittyKat*~ you managed to pull off a good one here and I think everyone enjoyed the fun walk out to the cache en masse, no matter which mob they were in, and the added smiley Smile Thank you xx
