Love a good ghost gum Albert Nanageria ( spelling maybe out) was well known for his paintings. Lovely park and place to walk.
Found it! Another nice find on a walk after lunch and a paddle at the local brewery. TFTC!
Quickly found, the cache might need a new logbook and maintenanceThanks for the cache, Greetings from the Yukon and France
Spending time in the caravan at Yorketown. Nice little park. Plenty of caches down this way, so some time spent discovering new locations and sights. Enjoyable little track and walk to this one. Tftc.
We had a bit of spare time in Minlaton before restocking at the supermarket so we attempted a few of the nearby caches.
Many thanks for the cache clan greenwood

What a magnificent specimen it would have been in its heyday. Good one to hide a cache at. Thanks for this trail on the way back to our accommodation at Winlaton.
Just arrived here on the Yorke peninsula yesterday and am looking forward to doing some caches and seeing some great sights. Only did 4 caches in Adelaide which is bad, intend doing a few more than that here. Thanks for placing these Cache's out here. Cheers.
Love these old trees

Thanks for the cache clan greenwood. A quick find now I am becoming familiar with your hides. Coordinates a bit off, but this is never going to matter in places like this. Find #6674 at 12.03pm
Found on my one week's lovely and interesting YP caching odyssey. Thanks clan greenwood.
A short stop here today, managed to find the cache nicely hidden and all is well
With 2.5 days free and nothing to do, what better than to head to the yorke peninsula for a few days. I made a plan of trying to clean up majority of the caches on the peninsula going from cache to cache. Managed to come away with only a few left and 247 finds for the few day trip.
Thanks for the cache

Found at 10.40am whilst continuing our walk along the scenic trail. We were surprised how well laid out towns are in this area, with the golf course part of a green zone around the town.

I was staying at the Minlaton caravan park for a couple of days. Using it as a base to explore the local area.
Having spent the morning on the nearby Fishy trail, it was time to slow down, get out of the car and explore on foot. I drove to the centroid of this little trail and continued on foot.
All caches found without problems.
Thanks for the cache clan greenwood.

I found the cache after a short search.
Signed the log. Thanks for the cache clan greenwood.

A quick find while staying at Point Turton caravan park and out caching with Little Blue Wren.TFTC
A beautiful walk enjoying the songs of many different birds, the sound of the breeze through the trees and the smell of the bush after rains..... I’m in heaven.

Team Froghoppin and I headed down the leg today for some caches.
Most were quick finds, of many shapes and sizes.
This was one of many we logged today.

2020 - our caching curve has been flattened ! ! ! Time to get it into shape
Please do keep sanitising! Keep a safe Distance. Exercise. Cache. Eat. Cache. Repeat. No dancing!
And do still stay home if you're sick!
Support all of our SA regions by hiding many new caches!
( especially around the Barossa/Light area please [:o)] )
and make sure your first aid kit is stocked and in the car ! ! !
A trip over to the YP with team Mattycat , after tackling the gone fishin series 339 to 428 we decided at the road junction it was time to explore some other caches around the area, we settled on Minlaton as we needed to refuel as well. The skeletal gum would have looked magnificent in tos heyday, cache was soon found and and stamped before strolling back to the geomobile
Due to Covid19 we decided not to touch any caches for now. Hope all owners are okay with this. Still needs maintenance. Tftc
Day 204(Friday 20th) of our trip. Caching along the way. In Warooka today. A total of 5 for the day and 4765 for the trip. TFTC
On the way to Millicent Mega and detour and signed the log as EV and thanks for the cache and hide
Need maintence asap.

After doing a second day on the Gone fishin series, we grabbed a few caches on the way back to Minlaton. This was one of them. Thanks clan greenwood
Cooler today, cloud cover, so we thought we'd gather some caches instead of moss. Out and about with messy61. Brown Christmas Beetles and white snails galore, some slithery snakes and sleeping lizards; sticks and bull ants and long tall grass...but we never did see a unicorn.... Cache found with no critters...kept an eye out for the ghosts ...none to be seen only trees. Found it.Tftc.
Found with dty73 and youban on our Yorke Peninsula invasion! All logs signed DTY (dty73/Tankengine/youban). - Had a great day today, in that we didn't do any of the power trails! That was a very nice change! So a nice variety and some very nice locations! Thanks!
We have a small team travelling to The Yorke Peninsula from Canberra. It was decided by the group before we left that our team name would be DTY, although I act like the boss, I rarely am and so the initials actually stand for - dty73, Tankengine & Youban.
Today the team decided that it was a “tourist day” and we would go have a look around a small part of the peninsula to see what there is. But of course like true geocachers we couldn’t help taking a caching route as we went. We ended up getting a lot more than we expected, but we did have a good time.
We parked close by and walked across to this one to make a straightforward find. There are a couple of ghostly gums that looked really good in this area. Tftc clan greenwood!!!

Was down in Minlaton with LLL51 to watch the football grand final and we decided to get a few caches before heading back to Moonta. [^]
Stopped here as we made our way around Minlaton picking up caches we didn't get on our last visit. Were pleased for easy finds as it was very cold.
Thanks for the cache clan greenwood.

After a rough night at Port Rickaby we headed off very early for breakfast at Minlaton to begin day 2 of our rest, relaxation and rejuvenation week, with caches chucked in, just a few here as we are hoping to get the fishies series finished today. TFTC
We’ve left Maitland after three nights. A lovely town with some beautiful old houses built from what we assume is the local stone. On our way to Minlaton for a few more nights to continue our assault on the Gone Fishn’ power trail.
It’s great to find a few different sized and different types of hides after so many more micros in the bush! But we do appreciate the enormous effort made by all the CO’s on the Yorke Peninsula.
Mr Ski jumped the fence and headed off into the bush for this one. A straightforward find in a lovely area.

Found with FUF009.
We headed out of St Arnaud, VIC early this morning and drove practically non stop to Minlaton with either totally random stops for caches or specifically selected caches.
It felt like a very quick drive despite it actually being about 8 hours all up.
Such a nice change of scenery and nice for both of us to have free range caching rather than the limited range St Arnaud has left for FUF009 and difficult Melbourne caching for me.
All caches found were in good form unless mentioned at the start of my log.
Apologies for the generic log but I just can't do individual logs after the mass of caches that were found. I'm so tired they all have merged into one big cluster.
Thanks to all the COs for their hides. Tftc

On the way to WA, taking a lot of wriggle roads. Doing a lap of the Yorke Peninsula and on the east coast heading South. TFTC and your maintenance of same, clan greenwood TNLN.
We spent the week at Port Victoria fishing in the mornings and then to a local bakery for lunch.
On this day it was Minlaton's turn.
Found and signed with muggle mate whilst the girls went to Kings.

A perfect Spring day for a drive before going to Point Turton with Tassie Trekkers.
Hardly any muggles around on these roads, and many quick finds.

Suscoe was heading northwards today in convoy with Phetlern as our time in Marion Bay had come to an end.
We started the finds at Brentwood, then to Minlaton and then on to Maitland before picking up a couple of caches along the road to Port Wakefield.
It was a sunny day with a good range of caches found along the way.
The roads were quiet today which made for easy stops along the roads and around the towns.
Thanks to clan greenwood for this cache, we were impressed with this area.

Travelling in good company with Suscoe and relocating our base from Marion Bay to Port Wakefield, provided us many opportunities to stop, stretch and add a smiley, or two, to our geo-map. We parked one car & caravan in town and explored the cache rich Minlaton area. Image attached.

First we must appologise for the generic logs.
We came to Yorke Peninsular with Speedmistress who hails from Queensland to cache our little hearts out and this we are doing.
We solved loads of puzzles prior to coming and with all the earth, multi, trads and puzzles there are here we were never lacking in variety.
When we found caches that needed repair we have done our best to do what was possible, unfortunately we have now rum out of spare containers, so no more repairs can be done. We have enjoyed the scenery, the walks, the animal life and the challenges that was encountered while traveling the Peninsular. Not all the caches have been attempted due to time restraints but those have been earmarked for future visits.
We also would like to thank Speedmistress for supplying our geocaching chariot.
A huge thanks to all the cache owners for placing these caches for us to enjoy.

Travelled from Queensland to meet up with Muff1 for a Geocaching extravaganza on the beautiful Yorke Peninsular. Our goal to Cache, Cache and Cache. Each day our "finds" have been growing in number, some days more productive then others. We have also been careful to take time to appreciate the natural wonder of the areas we have visited. A big thank you to all of the dedicated Cache placers who have made this possible.
Mrs M found this one while waiting for the finish of the Ray Smith Cycle Classic. Cheers. MODU.
Hi there clan greenwood.
We found your cache **"Minlaton Scenic Trail - Ghostly Gum"** at 11:24:00 AM today.
This was our 11th find for the day and this makes our find count 13711.
Penny wanted to go to Minlaton, so our cache run today started at a random there. We then navigated to the one the GPS said was next closest etc, & ended up finding 16 & DNFing 2 today.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** Container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Nothing.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Found with Zobo04, Borisb&Natasha and Bounty Trackers. Heading on our way to The York Peninsula for Easter and to catch up with the rest of our group. Sorry for the late logs life sometimes has an uncanny way of getting in the way. I was busy trying to get in front of KTCvic whom we are meeting up with. So lets get as many caches as we can along the way so for 5 minutes I will have more finds. Nothing like a little friendly competition. Thanks for making our trip fun and TFTC
Found with Gonefishen07, BorisB&Natasha and Bounty Trackers on our way to an Easter weekend on the York Peninsula. We had a great time thanks to all CO's for the fun times. Sorry for the late logs. TFTC
Geo Nerds Yorke Peninsula caching exposition consist of Borisb&Natasha, Zobo04,De Ja Vu, KTCvic, Gonefishen07, Velocachu & Bounty Trackers.
Gonefishen07, Zobo04, Borisb&Natasha and myself Bounty Trackers left on Wednesday morning with one objective, to get Gonefishen07 cache finding count higher than KTCvic who was about 100 cache in front. We spent 2 days straight chasing caches all the way from Gippsland in Victoria to The York Peninsula in SA, where we finally got 8 caches ahead of KTCvic. The smile on Gonefishen face said it all ( I think the comment was made CATCH ME NOW Trenty ).
Along our journey we made a side trip to Gawler to get the multi Fort Knox cache which was on our hit list. What a brilliant cache. Well worth the detour. It will be getting a favorite point from me.
On Friday Velocachu, KTCvic & De Ja Vu graced us with there presence and it was time to start the Yorke Peninsula Geo Art Starting at Hook then Jellyfish, Fish, Anchor, some of Fish Tales,Sammy Starfish and most of the Boat, we then did Sally starfish, and the rest of Fish Tales and then finished with the leftover boat.
Milestone achieved
Velocachu 500
Zobo04 2000
Borisb&Natasha 2000
De Ja Vu 3000
KTCvic 4000
Gonefishen07 4000
Bounty Trackers 4000
Thanks to all the cache owners for the effects in placing such a great series we just loved it.
A BIG THANKYOU to Kate,Rob,Sioux,Katy,Trent,Leesa,Campbell & Zoe for a fun filled Easter long weekend, I had a great time with lots of laughs, thanks again.

It was with great excitement that I headed to South Australia with the Geo Nerds consisting of Gonefishen07, Bounty Trackers, KTCvic, de ja vu, Zobo04 & Velocachu.
I have never cached outside of Victoria, nor in a group and I was really looking forward to it.
Every single one of us achieved a very memorable milestone made even more special because they were achieved with very special friends.
Thank you so much to the many COs for the time and effort in placing their caches. I'm sure it enables many groups like ours to get together, have lots and lots of fun and form life long friendships, all in the quest for little pieces of treasure.
