Dayboro QLD Mega - Day One:
The first day of our mega road trip with buhfuhguh!
I picked up buhfuhguh from Canberra airport this morning, with a goal of Sydney for the first night. We started off with getting every type we could think of within ACT, before heading off towards Sydney.
Only a couple caches along the way, as we had limited time to get there and the main goal of the trip was the distance after Sydney.

Grabbed this cache for a quick county find! And a quick find it was, many thanks

Day One of my Dayboro Trip with Loci612. With my landing at the airport from a rather long time stuck in my own state of Victoria. With my eyes set on collecting as many LGA's, types and interesting D/T's as I can.
With a whole week ahead of me of caching and driving I was keen to smash some caches out in Canberra before Loci and I headed off. Thanks for the cache and the little adventure.

Yeey! Mi very first cache in Sydney! My first time in your lovely city, and after the unfortunate DNF, we finally got one!
#This Day#
After the mandatory 14 days of quarantine, we were finally able to go out yesterday and celebrate with a full day walking and geocaching. Me and [Molnarim78](http://coord.info/PRXRMN2) walked maybe 30km in total, non-stop from morning until evening, trying to find as many nice and rare caches as possible while still trying to stay away from the rain.
Today, was our travel day... just a few caches to find before heading out to Sydney!
#This Trip#
We are back in Australia this year, even through this rough COVID times. Very happy to be here, indeed! For the first time we get to see a bit of Adelaide and a bit of Sydney, that is two new cities and two new states in which I need to geocache!

I came here Tuesday and I didn't find the cache, this one is one of my favourites so far
Took me a little while to locate, this was my first ever find! Really well hidden, really cool to find it
Really enjoyed taking a moment to chill out at this restful spot. Hint was helpful and the cameo was perfect. TFTC
A lovely quick late night find.
The camo wasn’t what I expected here, but works remarkably well.

I've been looking at finding caches in more local government areas (LGA's) around NSW and VIC recently and couldn't believe there was one in Sydney in which I hadn't found a cache. Great excuse for the geoSon to get some more night time driving hours for his L's. With the torches out, it was in the first place I looked. Immediately recognised as I'd seen this container type before. As previously mentioned log is full but I managed to squeeze my name in.

Nice camo cache. The first time I’ve seen this kind, and I’ve wanted to for a while. Log full. Thanks!
#1667 Second of four finds on the final day of the August Streak Challenge. Quick find TFTC
Found with my wife while down in Sydney to see Hugh Jackman. After dropping off the boys we headed down. First stop Bondi and the LEGO store. Next to the hotel, but a quick detour to here, for this cache in a county I have not made a find in yet. Fixed. Quick easy cache.
Thanks for the cache!
Thanks for the cache!
The GPS was slow to settle in this location but the cache was found quite quickly because of a common style of hide and a container type that we have seen previously. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks sevabo & skyejam for the cache.

Final cache of my tiring day. I found the cache exactly where I first placed my hand, and very rapidly signed and placed back. Then a power walk up the hill, and I managed to catch the bus on time - phew! TFTC.

This is the first time I've wandered about in Burwood. I had some business this morning in Summer Hill and decided to take a bus onward to Burwood Station. The whole area surrounding the main street is Asian - and I had a good browse in some interesting shops. There's even a Conservatoire of Chinese music there. And lots of neat looking eateries and wonderful smelling bakeries. Good coffee too, though you have to search for that. This is a tea area.
As I wandered on, I passed many older style Aussie houses and gardens, all fun to look at.
Got eventually to this nice little park and had no trouble in a quick retrieval of the cache.
Thank you, sevabo & skyejam for bringing me here - and for the snippets of local history.

Out for a night cycle to grab the new nearby Mary Mackillop cache. This one and the other nearby have been on my to do list for sometime so a perfect opportunity tonight. Hit the GZ and soon had the very nice CIH. TFTC sevabo & skyejam #799
Very nice cache! Came by with he geopup. We had a sit and signed the log as the strong winds dislodged purple berries from the tree, which landed near us. TFTC!
A quick drive by sit and grab. Second time I'd seen the cache container today. TFTC.
Found it straight away. The container appears to be home made rather than the commercially available version- a favourite point for craftmanship.
Heading home with Trodectus from the city and decided to make a short detour and try for this cache. We parked nearby and walked to GZ. Arrived GZ and had a good idea where the cache was hidden. After short search, CIH. Log signed and returned. TFTC
Found with Coybear2000. We were heading west and decided to make a short detour and try for this cache. We parked nearby and walked to GZ. When we saw what was there we had a pretty good idea of where the hide could be and we soon had CIH. We signed the log CB + TD and replaced it. TFTC.
sevabo I found your cache Wyatt Ave on 16/2/19, 10:21 am. This is my find 2271 and find # 2 today. A little bit of a search and then found the well camouflaged cache. Thanks for the cache! TNSLLN
Found relatively easily - first find of this sort of container - ingenious. Tftc

With GreyHams we had planned to head out for a three day trip into NSW for some counties, all the way to Bogan Shire! We had 14 counties on the route but a change of plans meant only the two days were available so plan B had us heading towards the coast and up towards Sydney.
All a bit of a last minute change but all good, GreyHams had a plan! Off we set, we had 5 counties on the list and would see how many more we had the time for. The new route had us driving up towards Bungendore to Tarago and then across towards Nerriga to Jervis Bay. A good trail of caches and we searched for them all, a few DNF's but mostly a successful trip through with a variety of caches found and some really great locations visited.
The rain set in about Nerriga, light and steady, and we both ended up more than a little damp at times, super fun when looking for a cache in the wet bushes! Mostly we cleared a nice path along the way with a few caches down some side tracks, a few puddles to play with along them and the only Mystery along the way... Well thanks to GreyHams for knitting that one out!
Stopped in Berry for a nice Thai dinner and then on to Kiama where we stopped for the night.
Woke to more rain but continued on North stopping at each county along the way for a cache and anything else interesting. Thankfully the rain did end up clearing... in its place there was the thickest of fog to navigate through, no worries about that on the Motorway with the traffic and almost no visibility!
Slightly turned about in the fog we did end up off track but worked out well in the end with a new course set and off to conquer the counties along the way into and around Sydney. A surprising 25 counties visited in the end, much more than expected but happy with the result and a good couple of days away to do it in. Thanks to all the CO's for your caches, apologies for the generic log, any additional cache information has been added to the end of this log.
Quiet spot after the drive in, easy parking close by and a quick find.

Thank you for this cache. A nice clever one. The log is very fragile, about to tear and is completely full. Needs urgent replacement please.

Cache 4448 on 12 Jan 2019
Greetings from Canberra. Bobl27, HypoHippo and I had to come to Sydney to collect a computer, so I took the opportunity to seek out some new counties while in the area. If all goes to plan, I should get 7 new counties for about 2 hours work. I have picked out easy finds though to minimise time and hassle for the family, and to save wear and tear on my sore ankle.
This cache: quick easy find, log needs replacement!
Thanks sevabo for the cache and the fun!

OCBM this morning. Parked next to GZ; walked over and found something below knee height. As I signed the last spot of the log a replacement will ne needed. TFTC sevabo & skyejam.

Secured a park close by and BabyJMan spotted something amiss very quickly. Log is running out of space but still a few spots for signature.
Thanks Sevabo!
