Cesta je fakt moc pkn a myslm, e ped i tu slavnou australskou Great Ocean Road. Today I drove from Dunedin to Invercargill and chose the Southern Scenic Road. And I did well. Beautiful landscape and lots of attractions around. The morning was beautiful, then showers and strong winds came, but I still went on three shorter walks to the lighthouse, to the waterfall and on the beach to the petrified trees. I found 20 caches on the way and I really enjoyed the day. Thanks to everyone for their caches and greetings from the Czech Republic.
The three of us together found this on our way to Purakanui Falls. Just a little time later a helpful driver helped us changing a tyre of our rental car close by the bridge across Waikawa River. -- TFTC

I'm doing a road trip through Southland. Today's leg is from Dunedin to Invercargill by way of the Catlins and Bluff. Old School Challenge caches are the focus of the trip, but there's a few others to look for along the way as well. Man its windy here. I could hardly get the car door open. cache was a quick find
Taking the long way home. Had stunning views in stunning weather as I made my way up the coast. I had two target caches for the day, both of which I found. Everything else was gravy.
Nice we park and grab. The hint is accurate and like other there was some camouflage to work through but soon had cache in hand. Note for CO - log is very damp, container is intact.
#20737. Was puzzled at first about where the hint object would be; turned out if was in an overgrown location. TFTC.
Found with StreetWalkerNZ as we travel from Dunedin to Invercargill.
Wasn't sure where the cache would be as I approached, then spotted a route to a caching cliche and there was the cache. Cool old wagons. TFTC.

After I had beaten off the local outlaws (gorse) and fought my way through the badlands the cache was duly located. TFTC
Nosynel and I are having a caching trip now after our taxi service for Routeburn drop off and collect became unnecessary due to illness.
A quick find, thanks.

I like the signage. I found this cache during a Mum Taxi service.
Unfortunately they had to abandon their trip an a few hours into the walk due to sickness.
Two of my children are walking the Routeburne. So I offered my services for drop off at the Glenorchy end and am picking them up at the TeAnau end. I invited Jude_E along for company, so we'll be taking a few detours along the way.
Thanks for hiding this cache granville86a I appreciate it.

It Took two times to find it. I don’t live in invercargill so I had to come down here to find it
Found it. It Was Hard to find but I just had to dig. We found it on our second go
Another emotional stop on Team Guwapo and friends trip around Southland for the Rima geotour. Although not part of the tour this is another of the family's quest to find all of Uncle Granville's caches. Brother and nephew were searching for a while before the hitchhikers in the car pointed us to the correct post! Still missing you bro! Salamat!
A nice quick park and grab as I make my way for a dinner date with an old school friend. TFTC # 16,718
I write "WRITE NOTE" because it is a time when we can't go on a long adventure, so I travel in the memories of my visits to New Zeusemad. Of this adventure in New Zealand, I only stretch Travel Bug. Writing "FOUND IT" is probably not right anymore, it wasn't today, but I was here before. And unfortunately I won't get here again.
I am sending a beautiful greeting from the Czech Republic.

Natalie24/7 and I certainly circled the wagon a number of times before we thought about the hint a little more and only then did we make the find. Thanks granville86a for this cache
Left my calling card here. Cheers.
Tuesday 27 October. Checking out Invercargill again today. Lets go Toby!
Toby, Zara and I are on a 3 week geo adventure of Cromwell, Southland, Catlins, Balclutha with a day in Dunedin and quick stop in Timaru. With Lenny, my trusty navigator and TBD my companion/mascot. we managed to visit lots of green boxes, now happy faces with the odd sad one. Did some LABs , earth caches, virtuals and wherigos, all chucked into the mix to rack up 500 odd caches. Lots of kilometers, lots of exploring and lots of fun. Thanks to all COs for our wonderful experience.

Be very careful of holes. Got my foot stuck in quite a deep one and had to remove my foot to retrieve me shoe
Going from Invercargill to Dunedin on our south trip going to do the Catlins heritage scenic route - heading that way we came across this cache - a short hunt and cache was in hand- log signed - thanks for the cache
Heading on on our 2 week south island tour and as usual on tour we like to leave a tell tale trace of our passing on our maps so do a few caches leaving a breadcrumb trail Found this one and the Log was damp . managed to sign ok and we enjoyed the feature Thanks for the Cache.
Cache 122 quick easy park and grab, there are a few hidden holes under the long grass so watch your footing so you don’t break an ankle, what an awesome sign as an entrance to a farm Rock bug added to cache T4TC
On an awesome adventure with KGS in the Catlins today! It involved a 36km detour in each direction, but we had a great time and found lots of caches in spite of suboptimal coffee supply. Quick find on the way back! TFTC!!
Had a great day caching with Hinemoana! Great fun. RIP Granville86a - miss you, and think about you whenever there is a tree to climb or an adventure to be had.
Stopped to try and this cache many moons ago, I remember looking high and low all over the wagon and couldn't stop any likely caches.
This time I read the clue and headed off in the right direction. Avoided the previously mentioned hole and thought that could be dangerous in the dark.
Quick find this time.

Heading out to explore again. Easy find but a but exposed. Farm owner waved at me.
A quick find, and the last of the night for me. Took it back to the car to sign the log and then when I went back to rehide it, I stepped into a hole that went past my knee. No harm done luckily, could have been bad. TFTC!!!
A quick and easy find. Last for the day. Cheers
Easter holidays, and a road trip to Milford Sound. Today we drove from Dunedin to Invercargill with lovely weather most of the day till we reached the south coast.
Thanks to all CO's for placing and maintaining their caches. Cheers

Out and about on the southern part of the mainland on a mission to complete our Jasmer grid.
We’ve see so many wagons today, would love to have one in the garden but a little heavy for hand luggage! Wet and windy today so luckily a quick find TFTC.

Catching upmon some of our missed found logs from our fabulous trip to Southland. Great time had with good friends. This run alongvthe road provided a few more smikeys for us on what ended up being a very long and productive caching day. Thanks granville86a for the wet feet this one gave us
Despite the hint item being obvious and the co-ordinates being good I couldn't seem to spot this one. The Haywood Hornet appeared and put his hand straight on it
This cache took us some time to find but I finally found it where Herts Skip had already looked!
A good area to pull into and we didn't need the GPS, just headed to the most likely place and . . . . found with AorakiSheep
Found with Ruru_nz and some other Guide Leaders the day we checked out a campsite in the Caitlins
Heading to Tautuku for a site visit before a Girl Guide camp next month. We are meeting with another leader from Dunedin and set out early so DownSOuthInv, Saethwr and myself could log some caches on the way. I'm logging late (as I recover from the successful camp), and it seem that the 4th leader in our car is a closet cacher as ycXXXX found the same caches as we did today.
GPS was a bit out for me today, and I spotted this from a distance as I circled the wagons to triangulate.

#4134. Day 6 of the southern adventure. After attending a conference in Te Anau over Queens Birthday weekend, we headed south and stayed overnight in Invercargill. A very heavy frost on the ground this morning. Setting off early to visit the Catlins. This was an interesting old relic on the road side. The cache was soon located and signed. Replaced the cache as found. Thanks for hiding it here granville86a.
Down from Northland visiting. Made a trip east today to see the sights and look for some caches. A really neat old wagon here. A quick find with the good clue. TFTC
Passed the spot a few times and there are a few 'Timpany's' signs going up along the road. A pity they couldn't do some maintenance on their feature at the gate. I picked up some fresh rubbish at the park while waiting for some muggle to leave the vicinity. I hope the 'visitors' to the city are not emptying their vans where they stop. Cache found in hide, was there grass here? It's been sprayed and died right back with whatever they've used. I came up with a rash. SL tftc
An easy find with the hint. Many thanks

Some nice old equipment. Wheel spoke are not looking all that healthy. Quick find.
This was a not a beautiful, sunny day ... no sunny minutes I strolled over to ground zero and searched for a short time and found the container. The coords are right on the mark.
The cache is in good condition and the log paper is nice and dry. I took nothing, left nothing, and signed the log paper.
I carefully replaced the cache right back where we found it.
