Staying in town for a few days so better get a few caches. Don't come down here very often
Up to Lumsden for the night, then back to ChCh tomorrow. Get some in before I go, and hopefully ahead of the rain... See how that pans out. Nice and easy.. Cheers!
Quick easy find knocking off some of the Makarewa caches on a Sunday morning, TFTC
Heading back to Dunedin after a couple of nights in Invercargill. A rainy start to the day calls for lots of park and grabs. Quick find here. Thanks.
Nice little afternoon adventure for me! If I read the full title I would have found it faster, and with dry feet, too! TFTC!!
On a three week trip to the lower South Island with tmann421 hunting caches.

Monday 2 November. Headed out to Otautau today. Another cool overcast day this morning at 8deg. Toby lets get exploring!
Toby, Zara and I are on a 3 week geo adventure of Cromwell, Southland, Catlins, Balclutha with a day in Dunedin and quick stop in Timaru. With Lenny, my trusty navigator and TBD my companion/mascot. we managed to visit lots of green boxes, now happy faces with the odd sad one. Did some LABs , earth caches, virtuals and wherigos, all chucked into the mix to rack up 500 odd caches. Lots of kilometers, lots of exploring and lots of fun. Thanks to all COs for our wonderful experience.

Thanks to all CO's for placing and maintaining their caches. Cheers

Wow always thought theses shelters were cute and practical glad they have another use to good for all weather tftc
Had planned on doing a few caches on the way home. As it is now ppoorin with rain I started looking for some that maybe under some shelter. As this said bus shelter I thought I'd give it a go.TFTC
Thanks for the welcome and thanks for the hide I found it without too much trouble despite my compass spinning. Greetings from Australia.
#4836. I have been in Southland for a week on a work trip but all that time was spent in Fiordland. I now have two days off and time to grab as many caches as I can find. Hired a rental car and set off on the adventure in glorious warm, sunny, dry, summer-like weather. Spotted the shelter and parked across the road. Didn't take too long to locate the cache. Signed the log and replaced the cache as found. Thanks for the cache southlandicebergs.
Heading for CANZ , but Google maps took me a different way from that I expected.
So detoured even more and grabbed a few on the way.
Perfect time of day for this one - bus has been and kidz all in school.
Thanks for the smilie.

Day three of my long, long weekend in Otago and Southland and I’m loving every moment of it. Woke this morning in my Airbnb in Winton to the sound of rain so I was a little downcast thinking I was back to wet shoes and socks for the day. However, my fears were misjudged as the day was crisp and clear. Left Winton with a good impression and more than I arrived (pre-arrival all I knew that the only woman hanged in New Zealand, Minnie Dean, came from here) and can recommend the Jumbo Takeaways for great value Chinese meals.
Got on the road bright and early to head to Bluff, Invercargill and then through to Dunedin to another Airbnb.
This was my first stop of the day and it would have been a much quicker find it I had got my Norths and Souths right the first time.

First stop on our Southland adventure today. Have seen these same shelters in Northland, so big ups to Totalspan who I presume have sponsored them. A quick find with the good clue. TFTC
For a school bus stop there would've been no chance of grabbing the cache in daylight. Picked the best time was 'now' after tea time and grabbed the box with some feeling around eventually. SL and returned to hide. Some signers haven't logged their visits yet?? tftc
Quick park and grab on our way home. Hadn't done much geocaching for a while but got back into it after Lions v Lambs contacted me after they had found the event bug Mr Potty had sent me from London. Thatcher.
Mr B's turn to jump out to grab this one. found it within seconds. On a 11 day caching trip around the south island. Log signed as b&p.Tftc southlandicebergs. Find # 3890
Its always welcoming down here. Another quick visit catching up with family and a few caches found as we head north back home again. TFTC
Heute mit Darmstädter in Winton übernachtet und vormittags das tolle Wetter und den Sonnenschein genossen, mittags wurde es zunehmend windiger.
Unterwegs wollten wir noch ein paar Smileys einsammeln. Schnell gefunden. Danke für den Cache.
