Yep, did my August streak last year and even carried on to 100 days, quite happy to regain my sanity beyond that though.

On a geocaching holiday with tmann421 seeking out caches at the top of the South Island. Thanks to all the CO's for making this such a memorable trip.

For the sake of sanity we set off with sonia26642 for a crazy geocaching trip, aiming to cache until we drop. The main destination was Nelson and the ‘surrounding’ area, but then we ended up covering a few miles in three northernmost regions, plus a few in Canterbury. We were signing/stamping the log as 'Team Polak' or ‘TP’ for the two of us on this trip to save logbook space. We found a lot of different caches, city ones, road side, park side, up a hill and on an island, and we enjoyed every single one of them. It was good to be a professional thingfinder for a few days!
We had great fun and are grateful to all CO’s who placed caches for us to find, and help restore our sanity before returning to our other non-geocaching lives!!
Come and join us the next New Zealand geocaching MEGA event!! Register your interest now at www.nzmega2015.com to receive newsletter updates and be the first to know. It will be a great event, come and be a part of it!!

This was one of the most epic weeks ever, and definitely my most epic caching week ever.
Me and mum headed up on a holiday north to Nelson and very wider surrounds. In total during the trip, we found almost 500 caches! (470 odd I think, but final results are yet to be in! ) We covered about 3000 odd km I think too. Crazy! And had our absolute best caching day ever too at 160 found. Spend 9 days travelling, caching, and having the best time ever!!
So sorry about not so epic logs, as otherwise this would probably take me the rest of my life to log, especially with two big events to organise coming up! Eeek!!
Almost every single log we signed as 'Team Polak' to avoid needing to write out both usernames taking up space on logsheet - as well as precious caching time!! Haha.
Consec caching day # 706

#7714. Worked up a bit of a sweat biking up here. Didn't take too long to locate the cache. TFTC.
Getting a little angsty after a couple of lunchtime DNFs today I found no muggles around and thought I would not find the cache either. But wait, that looks a little different and out of place! Could it be? Yes! A good hide not often seen in these here parts.

I had set out to look for this cache last month but couldn't find the access path from Windleborn St from the car. Today I came prepared by first street-viewing in Google maps and this time managed to spot the pedestrian access sign.
All quiet today, just as well because the cache would be hard to nab if someone was in the garden of the overlooking house.
Cache was a quick find. Many thanks for contributing to my streak - day #35. TFTC.

Quick find while out on MTB ride. Nel-mac workers around in the lane clearing out grass etc. hope they dont find cache. TFTC
We spent a beautiful day caching around Nelson. This was our 5th in this series and the first one that give us any trouble. The GPS struggled here so it was not 'as' quick as the others. Thanks for the cache

Another streak ticked off, better late than never. Thanks for that. http://www.geocaching.com/images/icons/icon_smile_cool.gif
Love the container. Found this and TCITS 11 sometime in December but forgot to log.
Staying with family in Richmond whilst on Holiday (Mr G grew up here).
Passing by during the afternoon. Quick find and sign in a great wee spot. Cheers.

Logging this find a significant amount of time after actually finding! Not sure what went wrong but had found the cache a month or two back and thought I'd logged it, but on a weekend trip to Richmond and checking out my unfound caches saw this one again and thought, what the? Loved the cache. TFTC
No cache for the day yet so had to use up my last Richmond unfound. A walkway I know pretty well as Ellie and I used to cut through here on our morning walks when we lived a bit closer. I was a bit like a deer in headlights at gz with that house above. Certainly blinded me for a few minutes but eventually I found the cache back in a spot I had already checked.
Thanks Sidewaze for the cache.

A slight detour today to grab this one in yet another neighbourhood walkway. TFTC #5114
Another "Streak" cache ticked off and another unknown walkway discovered. Too dark to see where it went to though. TFTC.
While trying to be very discreet with neighbours out doing their washing we managed to secure this find. A nice hide indeed, TFTC!!
Another walkway I didn't know about until today. Lady in the house overlooking GZ was pruning her roses but I managed to grab the cache when she had her back turned. Headed off out of her line of sight to sign the log then replaced the cache stealthily en route back to the car. Thanks Sidewaze for yet another great cache!!
Not August any more but still trying to tidy up and collect some of the many caches published recently. Third of four for the morning as I streaked around Richmond. Found this one in the second place I checked. TFTC, Biggles.
As the streak caches built up it was clear our best chance to extend our previous self chosen streak of 32 days was to streak through August and then on. So number 26 is number 33... and a new record. Scarlett O'Haras immortal words are now in mind.
Thanks.
Thanks.
That is a quote Mrs Sobad relates to as well..... but the CO knows that is not the quote she meant!!!

Seeing it was the last day of the streak I couldnt leave this one without a smile. Quick find in the dark. TFTC

I felt that I had to be very stealthy this morning as the lady over the fence was washing her windows. She can come and do mine next. Thankfully the cache is in a good place to remain unobtrusive.

The cache search page is down, so trolled the map page to find todays cache in the series. Wandered up after rush hour. Thanks
As summer progresses i tend to get up earlier. So hopefully in about 3 months i should be finding caches about the same time as the real early risers. Until then i don't mind being second. Tftf
