This one, despite being in the middle of a deserted area, seems to keep disappearing. Time to put it to bed. Thanks to all the finders and apologies to the DNFers.
We searched for some time, but were unable to relate the hint to anything, nor locate the cache. The room with the view was quite impressive however. TFTC
Too many (mad) muggles whitbaiting to have a good hunt. We will try again another day.
This has been replaced kindly by Bigglesponies.
A 200ml sistema with log only. BYO pen.
Thanks for helping me out with this one guys.

Thanks for helping me out with this one guys.
A new cache container will be placed by Bigglesponies (thanks so much) in a week or so. I will re-enable it once that has happened. Stand by for an update
I am logging this as a find as I did find the log book. (Photo attached). Unfortunately it was laid on the ground and I couldn't find the container to go with it so I took it with me.
If you want to contact me with details of where it was actually hidden I will gladly replace it.

With the road closed I elected to park up so.e distance away and work off my weetbix. A nice walk with people driving passed Humm the roads closed oh well walk is good. Was a relitivetly quick find. And plenty of watching and playing in years gone by must have Ben had. Tftc
Awesome "room" which no doubt has seen many happy adventures. However this place is now quite depressing. Messy, barren, dusty. Time to move on I think. Maybe in 5-10 years this will be a great spot again, but don't think I will do any more cache hunting around here for now. Anyway TFTC.
Mr 8 yr old and I were out and about and made this find. Mr 8 yr old was in awe of the room. TFTC
Found after a brisk late afternoon walk enjoying the mild weather. Nice to see a father with young son feeding the ducks nearby on such a pleasant late afternoon. Tftc.
So sad to see all these houses gone and with it the laughter of the children that would have got hours of fun from the room. We have visited Christchurch many times since the quake yet the enormity of the damage never quite sinks in. Kai Kaha CHCH! Thanks for bringing us here.
Thanks for an easy find in an old part of town I haven't ventured into since we moved in 2006. Sad drive through. Found, signed, returned to hiding spot. Thanks for the cache.
Last morning in christchurch before catching up with a rep and heading home, so needed to collect before returning the car and meeting at 8am.
Nice quick find in the early morning and not a whole lot of muggles about

So I'm guessing this is one of the roads the council says will remain "a little rough" for the next several years? I got the coords 7m out, but the hint is explicit (in a good way ) so an easy find. Love the room with a view (and a massive back yard).

Many thanks for this nice and lovely cache. I took the bike to collect some other caches in the area and of course couldn't miss out this one! The coordinates are a little bit of, but the hint makes it precise
Found with Grackatron! The tree house is amazing! We climbed up it to explore!
These neighborhoods keep the memory of the quakes alive. We may be used to living in our cracked houses and seeing the road works around the city challenge us on our journeys, but the munted buildings and homes are more powerful to me. TFTC.
Westland Anniversary on Monday meant a 3 day weekend to ChCh. Another nice quick park and grab while in the area. Thats an impressive wee treehouse up there, hope it still gets abit of use. We took the Dweezil TB. Thanks for the cache

Not so good here now. I used to run around the river here. It was such a nice run. TFTC
Easy find.
Once we found the cache we had to explore the hut. Very well constructed- one of the many forgotten treasures of the red zone.

So peaceful and not a dog within sight. Found with the hint. Obviously a walking, biking route now and a good one too, with the sections returning to the wild. Thank you.
My first cache found! This is near my home and on a regular walking route for me, it has been sad seeing the changes over the last few years. Nice and easy find, thanks for the cache.
Wee loop home to collect a few caches, that's what you do when you have a spare hour
Why in all things good would you catch whitebait out of the sewage polluted Avon!?! I must have seen about 10-15 of them lining the banks! Gross! I parked near the fort and smiled. Reminded me to get cracking on the one at home. Quick find and I did notice some weird old guy in one of the empty sections with his head in the bushes. Can't be caching, too close
Number 7 of 11.
Thanks for the cache.

On my way to the Women's Expo for a stint on a stand so decided to try for some of these caches in the "Red Zoned" area This is the second one today and second of yours Sharkiefan! This time I had to deviate due to road closures which added 10-15 minutes trying to get here. Also ran into the security car doing its check - it drove by me as I had stopped to check how close I was getting. No one around so quick grab, sign and replace and onto the next one. Wonder if the structure has a building permit!
Quick find while working. Tftc.
Even the boss was nearby and didnt notice a thing. Lol

My first visit to this area since the earthquakes and its all looking quite sad..was tempted to climb the tree..was soon signing the log. tftc
Came into town to enjoy the fun and entertainment of the Open Streets. Pretty cold and blustery though.....made a wee detour to this broken and dusty part of town. Very dreary. Have been through here before - not much has changed. A quick find and sign. A once nice wee spot. CHeers.
TFTC. Well it was a mission to find a wY into here. Giant rhododendrons and bulbs flowering are a reminder of the beautiful, loved gardens that used to be here.
Thanks sharkiefan for placing the cache.

2ND one on a wee detour heading home.Found quickly on a Road almost bare of Houses. So Sad.TFTH
The rain has stopped, so we are off caching. Even more empty sections... Thanks for the hide.
Very cool! Love the room. GPS was about 5 meters off today but with a little help from the hint and geo-sense the grab was made. With all the destruction around, it was nice to see the flowers growing up around the area. TFTC
I liked the room with a view. I used to like cycling along past here. So sad to see it now in it's present state. The strong winds last night felled a neighbouring tree and it is being held up by broken power lines. I walked under both without noticing on my to the cache and only noticed the danger when I walked back to the cachemobile. [8)]
Easy find thanks sharkiefan

A quick walk around some nearby caches and what a room with a view... Very cool. Thanks for the hide in a very sad area.
5384. A quick and easy find to complete our August run of finds since we can't make it to the event today. A very sad area in this red zone. Thanks for the cache. Rodney and Iris.
Thanks for bringing us to this area, sharkiefan - it was such a delightful, almost "undiscovered" part of the city and it is so sad to see the devastation / forlorn look.
A surprising volume of traffic - and some whitebaiters across the fiver. TFTC.

Finished work for the week, so it was off finding a few caches on the way home. Quickly found. TFTC.

I was most impressed by the room with the view. However I couldn't find a safe way to access it. Had to settle for finding the cache next door. TFTC.
The nearby flowering rhodo tree is pretty impressive too! Thanks for placing these caches S
I could have rushed out last night to grab this cache for a FTF, but decided to save it for another day. Talk about restraint! Easy find today. Thanks for the cache.
