Went back to check after getting a question if it was still there. Definitely gone.
Oh dear… third time, and still no cache in hand! Took my caching buddy trin_007 with me this time, and still no luck. We even picked the brains of some local cachers at an event recently, however still couldn't find it. Think it's time to message the CO and see what we're missing….
Dr Pepi and I had a very good poke around this one (sadly NOT 3rd time lucky for Dr Pepi). After receiving some tips at the Kenmore event we thought we would be sure to find this today, but all our efforts were in vain. Considering the information we were given, starting to wonder if this has been 'relocated'???
Foiled again! This one may be turning into my nemesis cache. Took a friend this time but still no dice. Hopefully will be third time lucky...
Sad face for me today. Wide search area as phone had difficulty under bridge. Looked for quite a while with no luck. Will have to come back to this one. Looks like I'm not the only one this cache has defeated on their first go.
Last time I came hear there was lots of long grass and bushes to get through. I searched but could not find the cache. My son and I came back today after getting a hint from a friend. The grass and bushes had been cut down. The area had been cleaned up quite a bit. It was not where my friend said but on the ground a metre away from the area. We signed the log and connected it again. I suggest the CO look at where I have placed it in case it's not where they want it to be.

You got to love it when you are blind!!!!!!! I search and search. Nope, nothing! And then: "How did I miss that!!!! Must be BLIND!". Haha. TFTC!
Found it! This was out first micro cache to find so didn't know what to look for. But think we got it
Finally!
This is my third and final visit here! I came by for the FTF race with a few other caches, and we just couldn't come up with the goods I must say that I must have looked all over GZ on that night, and just didn't see it! I don't feel so bad for the other cachers didn't see it either!
2nd visit was not so bad, as I later found out the cache had gone missing. Now that it has been replaced, and was passing by, it was the perfect opportunity to swing by and pick this close to home one up. In fact as I was at mount ommaney this was indeed 'halfway home' for me! Cache is in good order and returned to is home.
Thanks for the cache and enjoyable FTF race Landlg!

Took a while to find it. Got a couple of weird looks from the moggils passing by.

We looked everywhere under this bridge scaled the wall looked under rocks but to no avail.... Might just be our rubbish eyes might come back later ...
Oh yeah!!! Glad to have this one off my DNF list. I had a early morning start with work but still wanted to get this one so with a even earlier start on the bike I found GZ quickly but with only a small amount of time before I had to be at work I was glad I spotted it quick. FTF woohoo of new log lol, just hope it stays in place it just may need securing a little more but all good. Log signed and placed back as found tftc
Despite a number of DNFs by other more experienced Geocachers in recent times, Chimpa and I decided to give this one a try. We tried all the obvious places and many not so obvious. We tried up above as well, but still we could not find this rascal.
The lone fisherman ignored us. We did see the remains of the possum mentioned by Crew 153 back in October 2013 - cool if you like skeletons!
Has this cache gone? Has it been muggled? We will wait and see if anyone else finds it before we try again.

Even with a PAF I was unable to find this one, may pay for the CO to visit? or is it just my night blindness?! or cache creep?
At dfo buying new school shoes today and took a stroll with the geokids. It was sprinkling rain so there was no-one else around. How did I miss finding the cache last time? An easy find today!
This little fella has been too close for too long! I finally made the trip down to have a look.
I did quite a bit of looking in obvious spots without luck and then started again when I noticed something out of the corner of my eye. Nice hide.
Thanks Landkg

Nice to grab a cache on Christmas Day, and let the geokids try out the new scooters as well at the skatepark.

Just had to grab this as I strolled past casually carrying a large inflatable boat on my back. Nice quick find and cache is dry, front page of the log was full but plenty of room on the back to sign. TFTC
This one we found quickly before setting off up the river to find another one. Found quickly, signed log and returned it. TFTC
With a little time to spare before heading for a nearby island cache we ducked off to grab this one. Got lucky and had a quick find. TFTC
On my way to pick up the family from the Sunny coast I stopped off along the way. I think this would be halfway home for a lot of folk A massive storm was fast approaching and I didn't want to get in its way so I made my way quickly to GZ.... oh great, muggles fishing... they didn't look around even once and kept on their business... I pretending to chat on the phone whilst glancing around... across the water.... back to the wall... wander here, wander there... it wasn't long before the little fellow was found... and easy stealth extraction and just as easy to replace... and still... not a glimmer of movement from the 2 fisherman down the bottom Easy peasy
Drove past this one way too many times so was good to have it marked off my list

I was in the area and wanted to get a find for my 82nd day of a streak and after failing at another one nearby I headed to find this one.
I headed towards where the GPS was taken me and I came across a dead possum which appears to have got itself in a jam. Luckily it was not smelling yet. I searched around it but couldn't locate the cache and then shifted to the other search area and soon spotted the cache. It was not until I was leaving the area and checked the cache on the phone that I found that I still had the old coordinates in the GPS. I would have missed out on the possum if I had the correct coords in the GPS.

This one is sort of halfway home for me, I cross this bridge nearly every day of the week. I tried to stop here last week but workmen were everywhere, today was nice and clear. Once at GZ, I walked past firstly, then came back around from the other direction and I spotted it. Tftc.

Visited with Landkg to find and to confirm TeanTinda's new coordinates. Found with TT coords. TFTC Landkg. Gorgeous area halfway home for me too ... never knew was here.
TFTC. #111. Found this one thanks to Team Tindas co-ords in their log which were spot on. I think we would have found it eventually but had started off in a very different spot with the provided co-ordinates. A very interesting spot with and the pipes and stuff to look at.
When driving by today there was no sign of workers trucks in the recommended car park, so stopped by for a look.
Yes, they have installed lights here - they've araldited solar garden lights into the edges of the concrete bike path so the path can find its way at night, provided the sun shines at night.
Lots of rotting undersized fish around GZ - obviously not of prized eating species. A pity there's no rubbish bin within 10 metres! The cache? Found all OK thanks, and signed as usual. Quite a little one, smaller than similar items I have ready to deploy on an unsuspecting cache world. TFTC, Landkg.

Visited here today, but workers are busy installing lights apparently, and a rather impressive traffic control gent standing guard within metres of GZ. Begs the question why traffic control is needed on a bike/walkway, but that's bureaucracy for you. Will try again in a little while.
Nice to stop and have a break at this one while on our morning run. Kayaks, bikes, runners, walkers all out and about enjoying this stretch of the river this morning.
Thanks Landkg

Had a few minutes after work and thought I might find this one. Took a look through the logs and found Teamtinda's coordinates, which helped make things quicker than they could have been. Also nice to have just a little cover so that I could search while a few cyclists rode past close by. TFTC Landkg!
Out and about with karenhippo today. Always strange to find myself in these spots, and I'm very grateful for the skills of engineers We made use of Teamtinda's co-ords to make the find. TFTC, Landkg.
It's kinda surreal being under a large bridge. Out with IolantheK, we found the cache with the more recent coordinates. TFTC
Driving around this area with Net88 and I noted I was going to drive right past this icon. It would be rude to do so and thus I took the next exit heading south and parked a short distance away. This is not a place I've ever visited before, but have often wondered what is here.
We arrived at GZ and with less than average GPSr reception, sussed out where it should be. There was some muggles about, but we managed a good look. No cache however. Net checked logs and found the Teamtinda co-ords. I tried those but didn't seem much more likely. Looking more and more and sure enough, I spied the beast. All in good condition. I hoped to get my own set of co-ords, but my GPSr wasn't enjoying the area either. TFTC Landkg

Found this cache whilst out for the afternoon with Captain Terror after a semi nearby event. Neither of us had found this one so we parked the car and started down the path. We arrived at GZ and started looking around. After a few minutes we couldn't find anything that looked like a cache.
I looked back through the logs and found some alternative coords, we headed over to those but seemed to be in the wrong spot still. Though standing at the new coords gave us a closer area to search so we headed over and Captain Terror found the cache after a minute or two. We signed the log and replaced the container where it was found. Thanks for the cache Landkg

I parked in the car park just off the freeway and headed to GZ. My first thought was to check a spot with a little higher terrain rating but I had no luck there. With the help of a previous log I soon spotted the little cache. I often ride and run past this spot and it was nice to actually enjoy the area at a slower pace. TFTC
Thank you Teamtinda for saving my sanity. It has taken four visits to solve this one! The first visit shortly after release was a nighttime visit in the company of some geoyoungsters who seemed more interested in who could be the first to launch themselves into the river, so we quickly abandonded the attempt. Another night visits shortly after saw the same ground covered for no result, the lack of gps signal underneath causing major grief and major reliance on the position on google maps. A third visit, this time in daylight only revealed the same possible hiding places. Finally saw Teamtinda's log with different coordinates and thought well why not a fourth visit. This time with a different place to search the troublesome cache was soon to hand. Tftc landkg. I won't say a favourite but definitely memorable!
Well, I'm now quite embarassed about spending 45 minutes here flipping half the rocks on the hillside a couple of days back. After reading more logs today and a friendly note from the CO, I parked outside DFO and was so confident I didn't bother taking a GPSr with me. As expected, I found it very quickly indeed. Gosh. I'm kicking myself that I probably should have seen it the first time around, but when there is very little GPS reception, I tend to put lots of faith in the map position, so I have added the coords which place it more or less where I think it goes on the map. TFTC landkg and it is indeed a very nice little spot here if you don't do silly stuff like I did the first time around!
Having completed my shopping at Aldi I wanted to get this one on the way home quick enough without the frozen veg thawing. Good job a fellow cacher had been earlier and updated the co-ords as I spotted it quickly and signed the log and my veg was still frozen when I got home. TFTC

"Breaking rocks in the hot sun,
I fought the cache, and the cache won."
A long and hard search produced nothing except lots of bits of rubbish. I assume the position on the map is close and I assume the terrain rating is correct because no one has said otherwise, so I guess I lifted everything except the right one today. Tough one!

Well, 9am is not the time to come. So many dog walkers, joggers and cyclists. I'll have to pick my timing better next time.
I found myself not too far down the road this afternoon and figured this one could tick the box for the August challenge... [^] I arrived in the area from the Northbound parking spot and walked down to GZ. Hmm... Let's have a look around here then shall we...
I spent a bit of time hunting and had nothing to show for it. A bit more scratching and scanning the structure, still nothing... The GPS was not at all happy under the bridge and was showing 11m accuracy. Yikes, that's no good... So I walked out into the open until it gave me a little more assurance, then strolled back in for another go. This time it wanted to take me a little further in and I noticed a couple more hide options I had not sighted before. Less than a minute later, I had the container in hand... Ah, now that's better...
All quiet on the bike path so I stayed put for business ans tucked it back when done. No reason to stick around now, so I headed home...
Thanks for the plug for DIDO DFO, glad you liked it and hope others do too... [^]
Cheers Landkg.

This was our first cache find in a very long time. I have seen a few logs about a cache a day in August. But 5Meerkats have used the same period for a long hibernation. In fact we have been so slack, even this log is a week overdue!
We found the cache easy enough, but the coords had me looking on the wrong side of the highway, initially. All the kids rocketed off to the skate park, along with Mrs Meerkat so it was a lonely find. Not lonely for long, though, with lots of traffic through here.
TFTC Landkg!

I chose this as one of the easier caches close to home to help earn today's souvenir. After parking near GZ, I looked over the cache page and set off on foot. I have a cache in a similar type area nearby, and was hoping it wasn't hidden the same way. My GPS however directed me to look in another area. My initial search turned up nothing, so I went over to see if my partner had any luck. As I turned around, I saw her standing there with the cache in hand. How she beats me to these always befuddles me. We took a seat on the concrete and signed our names. I returned it between passing muggles.

Have been caching with geomum since she started but have rarely logged online, am finally catching up on some online logging this holidays. This was a hard find because mum was searching for the wrong thing! TFTC Landkg
Oops! made the same mistake as egginthesky, Drove in an access point and realised I was on a bike path. Quickly backed out and down the road a bit to the car park. Just beginning to scratch my head while approaching from a different angle when I spotted the critter. Log signed and returned to it's hide. Good one Landkg thanks.
Fairly quick find for number 5 today. I was looking for the wrong thing which made it a little more difficult
No luck tonight coords want to take me to the middle of the freeway. Searched up top and underneath for an hour. Will be back in daylight to take another look.
**FTF** with stairman1 and geodog. I saw this come up but was quite happy watching Sister Act with geodog when stairman1 said we should go and have a look. Who am I to turn down a FTF so off we went. I know this area well as this my favourite spot to walk geodog. We arrived at the parking spot and headed off. We arrived at GZ and after a quick search stairman1 found the container. I opened it up expecting to find one of our rivals names but a nice clean log greeted us. . Signed the log then headed off back to my nice warm couch. Thanks Landkg.
***FTF*** Found with Goldielover. The lure of a new cache only a few kms from home proved too hard to resist. A short drive and quick walk we soon had the cache out to sign. Would say that we found it at a good time. This area is sooo busy with cyclists in the mornings. Even at this hour of the night a few zoomed past.

Congrats to FTFer's!
*Bing* new cache notification for a publish... and straight out the door i was to race down to GZ. after a bit of a parking mistake (i took what i thought was the parking exit, but turned out to be the bike path) Who did i see, but mr swellerfungus of course!
together we did a quick sweep above, then down below before receiving a call from mr Geo Sapiens as he ran down to join our search.
we searched and searched, and then were convinced that the coords were off, so sent the owner a quick email, before spending way way too much time searching again.
deciding that it was getting too late, we all decided to head off... mr Swellerfungus and I heading over to pick up another close to home cache. I then received the notification that FTF had gone and after dropping the funguy back at his car, decided to head back over to GZ to find the darn cache that obviously wasnt that hard to find...
so, back at GZ again, i checked out the first big object that I had looked at last time i was there, then moved onto the next one, and before i could even begin my search, my hand was on the cache... hmm, isnt that just murphys law..
