When does the miniature train run? It looks awesome. Good hide but be careful with the kids.
On a drive around Storm King Dam - a nice easy find. Thanks Rainforest Cookie.
Up in Stanthorpe for the weekend to locate some more caches. Got to GZ and in no time found the cache. TFTC.
Having a caching weekend in Stanthorpe so that a few more yellow smiles will appear on the map. The COs have placed their caches in some interesting places and puzzle COs have done a marvellous job with their challenging caches! Thanks all.

I was enjoying a sunny morning's drive around the shores of the dam
I passed by the railway and had to slow down for a closer look
No trains running today, so I headed ....
Lake Side, Lake Side, Lake Side
Steal away, Hide away
The hide didn't stay hidden for too long [^]

Out and about in the Stanthorpe area for a few days so I headed out to grab a few caches. There were puzzles from the MEGA and a power trail or two, thanks to all CO's for placing them. I managed to find a variety of caches in some very interesting locations, this was one of them.

Today we did some post Mega caching finding 83 and 2 DNFs caches. Our aim today was to try and finish the caches on the eastern side of Stanthorpe to Tenterfield and return. We enjoyed the journey that the cache locations took us to.
We appreciate the time and effort gone into placing and maintaining these caches for our enjoyment.

Day 6 of the QLD MEGA for me.
After a fabulous loong week-end it is time to go home.
So after packing the car and saying the good bye's I was off towards home.
A couple to pick up in this area, with this one being a quick find.
Thanks for the cache.

Out caching with Ratdog 12 and her geodog today, i'd love to have the house across the road as I think I'd quite like the view its got and the place down the road makes you see what can be done. Not so sure i'd have a miniature train in my yard but who knows...

Happy Easter!! sharkiefan and I decided to try and pick up as many of the Stans Apple puzzle series as we could today in between events. We had quite a big day, found lots of caches and thoroughly enjoyed the day. Found 16 Trads, 15 Mysteries, an event and of course the reason we are all here... A Mega!!
A bit of a detour around the lake was now in our targets, so around we went. A quick easy pickup here.
Thanks to Rainforest Cookie for the cache. TNLN

I was opposite when I saw this 794 metres away. Saw a car pass so went around to give it a go. An 18 K return drive for no result. Checked both trees within accuracy range but to no avail. Curse that car. Thanks.
Out for the afternoon with Roostaman and Lgoody. Last day for caching so we decided we didn't want to miss out on seeing the area around the dam. We were not disappointed - it was great.

Day 67 of my trip to Brisbane.
Today is a semi-fun day. After the last couple of weeks of intensive sorting of ju.., er, collectibles at Mum's place, moving, and cleaning, I'm in Stanthorpe, staying for a week, on my leisurely way home out of the heat and humidity of Brisbane. I had a good sleep, and have nothing to do today except take the GeoSchnauzers for a haircut, collect their dog food, and enjoy myself. I haven't escaped the humidity after all - it's raining quite heavily, so today is a GeoSchnauzer-less park and grab day. After adventures with GPS and relying on my memory of same, I've finally dropped off the dogs, after first getting on the wrong side of Storm King Dam. Anyway, I've got my trusty umbrella, and I'm off.
No 4 of 23 today. Thanks, Rainforest Cookie. Views of the lake. Nice. I can see train carriages. Strange. Easy grab, I sat in the car to log the find.

[font=Comic Sans MS]Hi there Rainforest Cookie. We found your cache "Lake Side" at 11:00:00 AM today.
This was our 2nd cache find in a caching run of 2 Finds & 0 DNFs today. (So this now makes our find count 9372.)
[Blue]
Today we chipped away at some more of the plentiful caches in the area.
The owners of the nearby property must really be train buffs. We thought that they may own a specialty B&B but didn't see any signs
[/Blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: Excellent. (We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.)
Cache Condition: Container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards

After a big night at the Christmas in July event I set off on another cold and frosty morning in pursuit of a few caches at Wingaap Way (Granite Belt).
I had run into ManicWombat at the picnic area/campground after I had come back from The Junction. On his recommendation I decided to return to town via this back road and was not disappointed
Nice spot - thanks for bringing down this back road.

Great day for a drive in the area. Clear sky, great scenery, and caches to find, what could be better? TFTC
We enjoyed a beautiful drive to this cache with both Eastern and Crimson rosellas feeding beside the road. It took a few minutes to locate the beast but we were rewarded in the end. Nicely hidden and all dry inside. TFTC.
Found on our trip along the Murray finally some sunny day so we could bush camp Thanks for adding to our trip
Relogging this under individual account, previously a member of Gaz'n'Kab account.
Ahh this cache was certainly interesting The branch above the cache, well it had a lizard on it, who was not willing to move a millimetre. The every stealthy Gaz, went behind the tree, and whisked his arm around to grab the cache, and the lizard was a little confused by what was going on A sigh of relief, the logbook was signed, and now to do it all again to return it to GZ Another swift movement, and we were soon on our way again

Certainly a nice spot for a cache. Mrs Griffo, doing the driving dropped me off to search while she drove to the end of the road and performed a U-turn picking me up after a quick find.

I had been to this cache a while back with Team Robins and Fangsoki, just before it was replaced. It is a lovely drive to here, following the road through Girraween and out the other side. The creek alongside the road is quite magnificently beautiful. Today heading through with Net88 after a bunch of rain and seeing this was back online, made the stop. I felt again a bit uncomfortable so close to a house, but I parked so as to provide the best cover.
between showers of rain, there was still water falling off the leaves above as we looked. I soon had the cache spotted, then in and and signed. Glad to have this one ticked off the map. TFTC Rainforest Cookie

Found this cache whilst taking the long route back to the Robins Nest from Girraween with Captain Terror. We pulled the car over and both jumped out to head over to GZ. Captain Terror very quickly had the cache in his hands and before long our names were in the logbook and the cache was replaced as found before we headed back to the car and off for the next one. Thanks for the cache Rainforest Cookie.
This took much longer than it should have. We had to make such a thorough search we were half expecting to find the previously sighted snake and lizard as well. A nice spot beside the dam. TFTC Rainforest Cookie.
Took a drive out to the dam to find a few caches. A red belly black snake slid across the road as we approached GZ but sitting close to the cache was a lizard sunbathing on a log & no way did it want to move.
The cache was just a few feet away.
Thanks Rainforest Cookie

Out driving around the local area to find some caches previously unfound by us, or new. This was a new one and one we were happy to find. Thanks for the new caches Rainforest Cookie. [^][^] A lovely view of the lake along this drive.
Seems its gone missing will go Nd check it out this week and replace or maybe move.
Saw that there were sufficient new caches down in the Granite Belt to go for a drive. Had to have the car at the tyre place at 0830 for new feet then I had to go to Toowoomba. Arrived at The Summit much later than I wanted to and after my visit to the Robins Nest knew I would be searching well into the night. Driving North to south finding these. Under torch light things look a lot different but you can concentrate your search to the torch beam. Quick find very clever hide. Depends on how one interprets the additional Hint.

Our friends rang us from Roma to let us know that three new ones came out and so we left the other caches that we were hunting for and drove in our Sports6 as fast as it could go. When we arrived at the Lake Side we discovered xPhenomes had beat us to FTF. Congratulations! We were surprised that he had not picked up the other two that were published at the same time. Thanks. Doing it at night we worried that the house close by would see our torch light. So we were very stealthfull. TFTC Rainforest Cookie.
