As this cache has been out of action for too long, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Hi
It appears that this cache has been inactive for quite some time. Is it going to be replaced or should it be archived to make room for possible future caches? If the cache owner does not contact me within Three Weeks, I'll assume the cache needs to be archived.
While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other cachers from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can't do so forever. Please either repair/replace this cache, or archive it so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location. Also, if you haven’t done so already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.
I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and am looking forward to seeing your cache up and running in the future.
Thanks for your understanding,
Regards,

Only time for a quick look here before heading into the park proper. No joy but will come back and be a bit more thorough next time.
Out for a caching mission on Easter Sunday. Trying to catch a few caches in South Auckland for a wider spread of smiley faces! Enjoyed some plane spotting whilst searching for this one.
This Was a nice quick park and grab in my way home from work to pick up a junior cacher from school. Lovely views from GZ today. TFTC Bartfound
Needed to find a cache today in order to continue my daily streak, as required by my current GIO Licence stage, and I was on my way home after a busy day at school, setting up my classroom for the new term and getting ready for my students. I could detour past this on my way, and as I had a DNF here previously when the cache was muggled, I decided to come back to turn that frown upside down.
Hint initially threw me off, but then I decided to look at the hint from a slightly different direction. Cache was quickly found after that. Had to pick my moments to retrieve and return- one or two people using the park this evening!
TFTC Bartfound,, and for replacing it! This was day #47 of 50

Felt a bit conspicuous searching for this one as there were a lot of muggles coming and going and it took a bit longer to locate as it wasn't quite where we expected.
Great hiding spot in a beautiful location, we will be back for a walk here sometime soon. TFTC.

Got distracted by the hint item. Cache sense got me there in the end. My mother's middle name was Philomena so this one gets a favourite point. TFTC
Decided today to take our family's geodog "Harry" with us on a geo explore of Totara Park and The Botanic Gardens. Had a very successful day only missing 2 out of the 13 caches we were searching for. We'll come again to this delightful location for those we purposely missed and those we could not find. Cache in good order thank you.
So Railwalker and I (Walk-Away-Renee) finally did it! We finally created a joint account! It takes having a kid to make this happen. Now we are finally merging our stats. So, using GSAK we are logging this cache and it should be dated by the oldest time found by either one of our accounts (so look for a post created by either RailWalker or Walk-Away-Renee). We greatly appreciate your hard work for making that cache possible. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to us.
Once again thank you for your time and energy put into this cache/event. The hobby of Geocaching would not be possible without the likes of you to support the community!

Walk-Away-Renee found this cache as I was on the opposite side. Signed as History Majors 2007.
Hello, this is a temporary boring log. I plan to edit and go into more detail once I am back in the USA. Found with Railwalker and signed the cache with our team name, HistoryMajors2007. Cheers and thank you for the cache.
A quick trip to Auckland this weekend and a day set aside for caching with tmann421.
A nice quick find for us here. TFTC

Out to explore a new area of bush.... looked like we could get at it form this angle but then realised what looked like bush was all grass and over run with mountain bikers this high up ..so a quick loop of the car park we had to stop on the way out to nail this viking.. should have walked to the most likely spot i saw when i first got out of the car but insisted on being distracted by the clue before coming back to the right spot just as Mrs A got out of the car expecting a harder find...
Looked in the wro g place for a while and almost gave up. One more quick look elsewhere did the trick. How obvious.Tftc
Muggle central this afternoon as the xrace is on at Totara. We have been truly drenched during the race but now drying out before prize giving so time to grab this cache.
Geokid wanted to have a look for a cache at night using a torch - this one seemed perfect for that request so off we went. Nice easy find for the kid, TFTC
Tftc. Glad to see cache back in place. Easy find this time after an earlier dnf as cache was missing.
Arrived early, a group of us are meeting nearby to attempt a nearby puzzle cache http://coord.info/GC60RAM called "Take Five"
As I sat signing the log, pazzabella and geocchi caught me, "busted"
A quick find, but I did some reading of some of the older logs, so went straight to the hide. Thanks for the hide, watched a few planes fly overhead, and the view of Rangitoto is special

We arrived here to find a suspicious couple right in our line of sight. And seems they already had pen in hand, they were only too happy to sign for us too. Thanks Rebel, Rusty and Bartfound!
I came to this one after doing Take5 with many other geocachers. I was the last of our group today to come here. Everyone came before Take5 and I came afterwards. I signed this with a fellow geocacher (from Rotorua?) Sorry, I don't remember your name! Then I was getting the rush-on from Rebel98 and rustynz to carry on to another cache! Whoo hooh! Excellent day!
After doing Take5 with a group we returned to the carpark to claim this cache. Happy to capture this one before heading off to find another group cache some distance away.
Easy find on our second attempt. First time cache had been Muggled. Thanks for replacing it!
Found this cute wee cache with Mrs and Mr team Benny after a very hot walk up through the Park from the Botanical Gardens side. Great views from here - TFTC
We stopped to pick this one up after finding Take 5. The cache was in hand by the time I got there (I was a little slower walking up the hill than others!) so I just had to add my name to the log. TFTC
Found today with a mixed group after completing take five, have not been to this side of the park before, I got there in time to see formalities complete. Tftc.
Had parked nearby to attempt the mystery cache, so just had to cross this off the to do list.
It was nice and quiet so searched without any interruptions.
TFTC.

On a trip to Auckland with Davidson Clan to take part in a Browns Island excursion. Picked this one up while we were out and about getting Take 5. Not initially where we thought it would be so the hint is more hinder then help, Cheers again Bartfound
On a road trip to Auckland with Phillip Perry meet up with some others to do the nearby cache Take 5 and got this cache while here good to change a previous DNF into a smiley thanks for replacing.
Quite an easy find! We're here everywek for a mtb ride, not got a chance for a quick geocaching. TFTC!
No luck today. May have been muggled or looks like cleaners have been through recently
I was driving past this one on my way to work this morning and thought I would give it a look. Seeing the previous logs said that a lot had not found it, I wanted to maybe prove them wrong....but I didn't. Time for the CO to re-check perhaps?
Attempted this a couple of days ago, but since I was passing again today, this time with reinforcements in tow in the shape of Biartch79, we thought we would stop for another look. No go again today.... am certain we looked absolutely everywhere, and GPS put us within 22cm of GZ (of course, we expanded our search much further than this though!).
Is it still there? Might need a maintenance check.... either that or we are just blind, and a shame to the caching community!!!

No find here today.... Looked everywhere I could think, read past logs etc, but nada. Might have to PAF and return for a second attempt!!!
spent an hour didn't find it. Mind you this was our first day finding things ...but we did find two others...newbies!!. Will try again soon
An elderly gentleman asked if I was going to lock the gate. I said I was just waiting for someone. Waiting for him to leave so I could look for the cache!
Stealth grab after finishing the XRace! Totally wet, sweaty and exhausted but one very happy family who finished it. Tftc, our streak lives on...

Find 07 of 07 for the day and #1822 in total.
Nice looking park and what turned out to be our last cache of the day after we had a bit of a wander around.
Echo 2 - Spice 5

Found this on a trip to Auckland today. Wasn't quite where I thought it might be, but shellabellabee found it for me! TFTC
Caching with Pinocchio59 and came across this cache! Was a relatively easy one to find TFTC!
Walked over to GZ and found it quickly. Enjoyed the scenic views from up here. It was around midday and there was a couple in a car that don't understand that people can see through tinted windows , didn't enjoy that view so much!
2nd cache of the day. A nice simple find though didn‘t bring a pencil so will have to come back and sign log another day. TFTC
