After some much needed rest we decided to stay put in and around Bundaberg to grab some caches and do a little exploring.

After a short walk down the trail from Mott Street we arrived at GZ. The cache was in hand quickly thanks to the hint, but it was filled with sand so we emptied it out and replaced it back afterwards.

Thanks for bringing us here.

A short stroll from the geomobile saw us signing this in no time.. sometime mid-morning today. Thanks baileyz for showing us somewhere we wouldn't have found without geocaching. Finding this cache earned me the dragon souvenir!

I found the track in, and followed it to GZ. Took a little while to find the cache, as it wasn't the type of container I was expecting. However, these aren't very waterproof, and the logsheet was damp inside its ziplock bag. Happy to report that no crawlers were encountered..

TNLN - Thanks Bailey'z!

After the previous night’s slow 2 hour crawl through traffic from Brisbane, an excellent steak in Gympie, and a few caches, we fetched up in a sneaky spot not far out of Bundaberg where we set up camp and settled down for 4 hours of quality sleep. This morning we awoke to our alarms and Seff’s deeply subtle ‘get your asses out of bed’ blipping of Victor Del Prado’s remote locking system. We soon packed up and headed off to our first cache of the morning which was found by torchlight. Once we arrived here we did at least have the luxury of sunlight, but we still managed to make a bit of a meal of finding it until Swellerfungus put us out of our misery and one step closer to eggs bene. 05-May-18
After a very short nights sleep, dreaming of being run over by the silent airplanes of Bundaberg, we woke up bleary eyed but full of eagerness to get back on the hunt. It was still dark as we left at 5:30am and we cached all day until 10:30pm (all with only 4 hours restless sleep)! That is what a caching road trip his all about! At 10:30, as we were readying to find another nights salubrious accomodation (aka a spot of ground in the bush) the rains began to pour. This caught us all by surprise, and meant we could;dnt stop - so what else to do but drive 3 hours to home!

It is interesting how you interpret a clue or a comment. We tend to make so many assumptions. Mine were all wrong until I changed my way of thinking. All well with this cache. Thanks fro the fun.

With a long weekend in play it was time for another road trip for The Bromance. With Crookedpete off doing his best Jack Sparrow impersonation on a sailing boat somewhere off of Hervey Bay, the full complement of JezNDez stepped up admirably to fill his shoes. A destination of Bundaberg was set and we headed off from Brisbane Friday afternoon to begin our adventure.

Our first 70 km of travelling took 2 hours thanks to the abominable traffic heading out of Brisbane and it was around midnight before we located a sneaky spot to set up our tents off the road, not all that far out from Bundaberg. With a little over 4 hrs of sleep we quickly struck camp and headed out before sun up to hunt down our first caches of the day.

At least the sun was up by the time we arrived at this one although this did not stop us wandering around in various circles before we were eventually able to add our names into the logbook here. TFTC

We are nomads. Having left Perth WA in February 2014 we now live in our caravan and go wherever the will or caches take us. Wink

Now settled into Bundaberg for a few days, today we headed to let Geocaching be our tour guide.

Lucky for us that meant we found your cache. Razz

We walked around in circles for a good while trying to make sense of the clue but with the threat of rain over our heads, we managed to find the cache before getting wet. Thanks for the fun Bailey'z

Sneeky cache but now found

26-Feb-16
As I parked the car a woman with a dog crossed the road behind me and disappeared into the trees along the path that I wanted to take so I politely gave here a minute before I headed along the track and kept a respectable distance behind her.

Arriving at the area I did a quick look and decided that I would read the hint. I'm glad that I did as I would not have found the spot without it.

I was signing the log when another woman with a dog came past and I gave her a cheery greeting and she replied and kept walking although the dog did come over to greet me. I bet she wondered what I was doing standing in the bushes.

I replaced the cache quickly incase any more muggles appeared and headed back to the car.

Hi there Bailey'z. We found your cache "Crawler Country" at 11:42:00 AM today. This cache makes our find count 11237.
[Blue]
We thoroughly enjoyed our trip around the suburbs today. We started the day off by nominating a cache some distance away and then taking a route determined by our GPS to the next closest cache until we ran out of time and energy.

We have been caching now for over ten years and it is really sad to note that the trend of placing small caches without swaps is increasing, especially in a spots such as this - where a much larger container could have been placed. Doesn't anyone want to place large, kid friendly caches any more. [?] Sad
[/Blue]
Coordinate Accuracy: We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking. Wink
Cache Condition: The container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

My plan for today was to grab as many as I could around town on the geocycle. I chose a fairly central parking spot and set off hunting. Smile

This was a pleasant surprise. There were some fun tracks in this little bit of bush. I really enjoyed my off road excursion in here.

The GPSr was a bit vague under the tree cover so the hint was a huge help in finding this one. [^]
