A lovely long weekend and the sun is shining and it seemed opportune to drive out west and hit the trails. So peaceful out here and I spotted plenty of wildlife and even a wee wascally bunny on the hop
I took a wrong turning and ended up here and found me a cache A huge family event meant I couldn't make it to Stanthorpe at Easter, so taking advantage of a long weekend.

We were unable to get to the MEGA Event earlier in the year so decided to come caching in Stanthorpe for the long weekend. This was our third day of caching.
We had attempted this cache yesterday but were thwarted by a council work crew having lunch right at GZ. As expected for a Saturday morning we had the place to ourselves. We made a quick find. TNLN TFTC.

Another night cache. Cache in good condition. Careful on the rocks going down. Tftc
One of our first finds for the day - hope we find many more. Retrieved the TB. TFTC Rainforest Cookie.
Thanks for another colour to add to our granite rainbow. I think we managed grey & yellow on our brief visit. Plenty of grey in some granites but not much yellow. We're just a little early for the wattle if that comes in August, though we have read that somewhere in Australia there's always wattle blooming no matter what the month. TFTC.
Found at 11:41:00 AM, staying in Stanthorpe for a couple of days and grabbing a few caches before continuing on our way North to escape Wagga's winter. We had heard about the Apple series from fellow Wagga cachers so we decided to put Stanthorpe on our list of places to stay on our trip. We grabbed this one while doing the apple series.
Thanks Rainforest Cookie.
Thanks Rainforest Cookie.
Out and about in the Stanthorpe area for a few days so I headed out to grab a few caches. There were puzzles from the MEGA and a power trail or two, thanks to all CO's for placing them. I managed to find a variety of caches in some very interesting locations, this was one of them.
Once the log was signed all was returned as found.

We attended the QLD Mega event in Stanthorpe, which was an awesome weekend!! Tomorrow we begin our drive home to SA, so today decided to do a loop down to Tenterfield, past Boonoo Boonoo and back to Stanthorpe. Has been fun exploring the awesome granite landscapes. TFTC!!
This one came up on the radar as we approached the CITO site. A quick wander up the hill for a quick find.
Found on Day 4 of the Stanthorpe Mega event trip. I started at Stan's Apple 01 and headed around town with Gunnie69, doing some of the Stan Apple caches, before heading west to gather the elementary series. The day ended with me going solo around the Quart Pot Creek.
Thanks Rainforest Cookie for the cache.

MEGA was on so decided it might be a good idea to find some caches. "Some" ended up turning into a few hundred... the most exhausting experience.
Started in the city and pooh corner, ended up leaving a little late for Stanthorpe. Fun weekend, managed to get pushed into swimming across water a few times and finishing off some rum.

Found by Mary & David at 0915. A big day around Stanthorpe today. We're thinking the yellow of the leaves. Our thanks to Rainforest Cookie.
With the drop-off point for the CITO event right by GZ, I expect this cache had almost as many finds today as the event itself! A quick scarper up to GZ had me collecting the cache from a previous finder, and passing it on (with re-hiding instructions) to the next, who did the same. Busy spot! TFTC, Rainforest Cookie. =^.^=
Out and about doing a few more Apples and other caches on MEGA MONDAY and collected this cache.
There was way too much traffic up here on the previous day to try to seek this one.

Found it with Team FIN [kapeka & laalaa]
We had fun with caching few weeks here in Australia ( Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and Australian Capital Territory ). Lots of geocaches and many sort of them too. We saw awesome places, weather was good all the time and people were friendly and polite. Caches were pretty similar like in our home country. Of course there were some exeptions. Nice and huge country!

A great days caching and road trip at the Oz Mega 2015 with Taurus1955 and Misschief18. Lots of experiences and adventures we had lots of laughs along our travels some where I walked right to the cache and others where I needed to hunt around a bit. I have enjoyed the various challenges set by the CO's and the fact that I get to cache with friends and am outside in the great outdoors.

Day 4 at the MEGA, and it's gonna be a big one [^] I'm planning to get 10 different cache types today, in the company of T-Tech and Nurseyjulie.
This is the Traditional, #7/10. I loved coming to Mount Marley today, as there were several different cache types we could get up here, there was a great view to see, we could dump the rubbish we had collected, and so many people were up here enjoying the MEGA! A quick detour as we went to the CITO drop off, and as others were already there with cache in hand, it was a quick find. TFTC, Rainforest Cookie.

Found with Phetlern on a day when we concentrated our efforts around Stanthorpe town as we also attended the events.
I found this cache while visiting Australia from New Zealand and while staying in Stanthorpe for several days for the 2015 Mega Event. Today I joined forces with fellow kiwis Vamber and Yorkshirekiwi83 (signing our logs as "VYV" to save time and log space) for another day of caching around Stanthorpe. This was a nice quick find while driving around this morning. TFTC!

Day 3 of our weekend at the Mega in Stanthorpe and we are out and about in the rain, yet again. Only ducks and cachers would be silly enough to be out in this. Anyway, onwards we went and found this cache quite quickly, a good hide. About with misschief18, B/dale Bandits and Bentley TB

10 in a day was my caching priority for the day. The day had begun before sunrise with a mega attendance heading south from Stanthorpe for a multi, a letterbox, a trad, and then back into town for a lab cache and a puzzle before breakfast. During the day there was a CITO, an Earthcache and an event plus a beautiful lunch at the TAFE college overlooking their vineyard and lake with the town beyond that. Then there was the flashmob event and that left about 2 hours to find the wherigo cache before heading down to pyramid road for dinner and a concert. Tough day but some-one has to do it.

Setting out with Alansee, to reign in some caches close to Stanthorpe, we were treated to a dry day with some periods of warm sunshine. This is one of the caches we found as we picked some more of Stan’s apples, walked beside the river, collected rubbish, followed the trail of a bushranger and waved for the camera at the Flashmob Event.
It was starting to get a bit chaotic on the road - anyone would have thought there was an event about to happen in the vicinity!!
Our thanks to Rainforest Cookie for bringing us here.

Radnoski & Family QLD Mega 2015 Roadtrip
Day 3 - Variety is the spice of geo-life
Finally the day was here to add a "Mega" icon to my list of cache types. Everyone was racing around in search of 8, 9 or 10 cache types in a day. Honestly I was happy with just one but did manage seven (?) different types including a lab cache.
With the CITO so close to this one it would be just plain rude not to grab it. Another cacher was leaving the GZ so we knew which way to head.
Found with: Fangsoki & P'Prime
Traditional Caches Found: 15
Mystery Caches Found: 9 (8 Stan's Apple & 1 Challenge)
Events Attended: 1
Earthcaches Found: 1
Thanks for the cache Rainforest Cookie and thanks again to the committee and helpers involved with making the 2015 QLD Mega a great way to explore the area.

We found this cache while over in Stanthorpe for the Aussie mega. A super wonderful time, and super wonderful caches!! Thanks to all the COs, and event organisers! We had a blast!!
Third day. Met up here with mum, and both my brothers - we're not often all together these days! And went crazy caching!!
Quick find during CITO.
We signed almost every log as 'Team Polak' which consists of hinemoana, sonia26642, /dev/gc0c, and tunfisk - to save time, our hands from overuse, and the logsheets

With Rhyssa6, Dutchie1950 and Triciac2 at the Mega. Whilst waiting for the nearby CITO to begin, we decided to find this cache. It was an easy find. After signing the log, we made our way to the fast growing crowd awaiting the CITO
[green]A massive day of caching for me today but I found the time to drop off a full bag of rubbish for the CITO event that I managed to find while caching earlier. While throwing the bag in the bin I looked over at a heard of sus cachers on the hill. I fired up my phone and what do you know, there's a cache up there. So without further a do I jumped up and found it myself. Signed, sealed and replaced for the next trash collector.

I was having to make it over this way to attend to the CITO nearby, so I figured why not take a look for the cache. Quite a number of others were also in the area to take a look, although they had already signed off up here. So Up I go and soon enough the cache was in hand and my name added to the log.
