This one has had its day. Archiving to leave the spot free for someone else. Thanks to all visitors over the years.
Easy find on a Sunday afternoon drive. Lovely area, must come back in the summertime. TFTC
Spent the night at the Tainui Campground, so in the morning a quick search and find. Nice view on the bay, unfortunately you aren't allowed to spend the night right here. Thanks!
Having finished with my work commitments for the week I had some spare time today to go out and find a few caches. I headed off in a south - east - north - west kind of loop. Had a good time with a variety of caches found along the way. No problems with this cache. TFTC, Biggles.
No luck last time I was here, but easy find today of the replacement cache, thanks heaps
TFTC! A lovely local spot that we hadn't explored yet! Good hiding spot too! Nice but cold afternoon to do a quick hunt to help with the MATM
Find number 5515. Decided to have a drive and clear some of the caches that were the wrong colour. A nice little picnic spot being enjoyed by a number of families. I was able to slip in and sign without attention. Thank you for the placement.
Called by again today, yay the coast was clear. Have replaced the cache, new camo mint tin. Please make sure the rock is placed over it. Thank you.

Called by to fix the cache today, but unable to get to GZ with a family camped there for the day. Will disable in the meantime and hopefully get back there soon to fully check and resolve.
Thanks for the cache, Drove up from Miranda Springs, amazed at the stormdamageon the roads
Have been working on the NSEW challenge and this was the target cache of the day being the most Eastern cache in Auckland....
After driving over the really bad roads from the recent storms (can't believe how bad this area was hit) I arrived to an empty carpark.
Short walk across the grass and I soon had the cache in hand...woohoo....
Now to find some more along the way home.

On our way to Auckland to end our lovely holiday. We started in Queenstown on 26th Jan and have had a wonderful time. We found this cache which will be the most northern one we have found in the southern hemisphere.
TFTC!

On our way home from a few days in Northland and we have not been this way for quite a few years. Mr S found this one. Mrs S was not quite in the right area.
Thanks Darby&Joan.
Thanks Darby&Joan.
What a lovely place, after finding the cache we had a walk along the beach and enjoyed the view. It was surprising how few people were here on such a beautiful day. Thanks Darby&Joan for bringing us here.
Thanks Darby and Joan...
Recently heard about the NESW Challenge....it's really cool that I already had 3!
So just had to make a special trip for this one .
When I arrived at Picnic Spot there was lovely older couple on chairs under tree reading books...
Was worried the fork was in that tree !
Luckily not...and I wandered off for easy find nearby.
Had lovely chat with the folk about nearby regional parks which I will come back too !
Off to Hamilton now....

Found on my road trip down the coast with mrcleverclogs, the tide was out so there was more water in the carpark than at the beach. The plus side is no one was around. Now through to Kaiaua for the world famous in NZ fish and chips.
Really cool puddles in the carpark, the water nearly came up past my shorts. Granny found this one for me.
This one turned out to be a bit trickier than intended thanks to the holiday weekend and the muggles that have come out to enjoy this rest spot. Our first approach had a group of men playing frisbee and smoking rather pungent cigarettes. As this cache is the object of our visit down here (most easterly cache in Auckland) we resolved to wait them out - say perhaps when they got hungry. Sure enough off they went and we moved in for the find. All good here and thanks for the cache.
Quick stop on a road trip to the Coromandel via the scenic route such a beautiful little spot... definitely would like to spend more time here! Cache was quickly found, TFTC!
Pretty spot with a lovely view. We thought the lady sitting beneath a tree on the beach might prevent us from finding this one but we were hidden as we found it. Thanks.
I should have learnt by now, that a small walk for C&D and HKCB is not a small walk at all. Yet again I agreed to come along, with no idea what I was in for. Yet again my alarm was set to some silly hour of the morning, and yet again I fueled myself with coffee and sugar to survive the day. A nice early morning cruise up here to grab 'a few caches' aka clear out the whole side of the park! I didn't keep track of the stats because I don't like to scare myself like that but judging from C&D's info it seems there were a fair few kms walked! I still managed to get home in time to head off to work at 5pm and put in a few hours work before finally heading back home to bed.... A HUGE day. Spectacular views, good company and great caches made it all worthwhile though!
The guys let me stop and grab this one since I was the only one that hadn't collected this one. A quick find although the cache was missing its lid, but I spotted it on the ground. So put it all back together and was back on the way home. Thanks for the hide.

With Tigger Etosha. Very grateful for the rest rooms!! With thanks. Greetings from Canada.
NQF once GPS homed in to correct host and then became obvious TFTC and greetings from the UK
After taking a short break from driving, ReCached and I filled up on our water supply and I quickly went to GZ to find the cache. Except for us, there was not a soul to be seen anywhere. TFTC Darby&Joan!

We had a night without the kids so thought we would head out on a short road trip and collect a few caches along the way. A quick visit to the restrooms here then off to find the cache. A reasonably quick find but the cache was guarded by a cockroach that had to be removed first.
found this one on the first day of my NZ road trip, starting from auckland and making my way down to the south island, flying out of christchurch.
arrived here right in time for a nice cup of tea. TFTC!

Found the log book in the post where previous cacher had put it. Replace the cache with a container I was carrying and return it to its hide. Nice spot. Tftc
Only found the logbook without the cache,it is being muggled for sure. Sign the logbook and put it on the post. Pity don't have ant container to replace the cache. TFTC
Found the log book on the ground, container nowhere to be seen. Managed to complete the log in the log book.
Lovely place to stop. No one else was here when we arrived. Very quickly found the cache and then we had a picnic lunch watchedby a cockeral and hen who suddenly appeared out of the bushes
On a geocaching trip around the area, enjoying the good caches on the way.
Nice quick find here.
Thanks for the fun! SL

Found ... Mrs McMike2012 & i were heading out to walk one of the tracks on the Eastern side of The Hunua Ranges ... thought we should pick up a cache or two on the way to our destination ... spent a few minutes talking with a Canadian cycling tourist before heading off to find the cache ... nice & easy ... this was the 2nd of 9 for the day ... TN:LN:SL ... TFTC ... #1,518 for us.
My final full day in New Zealand after 2 weeks from Australia, visiting my sister in New Plymouth, then the mega event in Turangi, and some touristy stuff through the Bay of Plenty on the way back to Auckland. Today's final leg was the short hop from Thames to Auckland, mainly going up the East Coast Road to spend as much time in the country as possible. I think I actually wrote all logs today accidentally with 29/10/16 however. Oh well.
There were a bunch of locals using the BBQ but I figured things would be safe enough as I left the car to walk to the cache location. Once there it was quickly to hand with the hint. Thanks Darby&Joan.

A quick stop to visit amenities here. Many dumped, but happy roosters living here. A nice spot to be dumped too. Found a damp but signable log easily here thanks.
Tricky spot this afternoon as there were lots of BBQ muggles all over the place with their kids etc. We were pretty stealthy and soon had it in hand. TFTC
We're visiting from Florida, USA. That was great fun. Thanks for placing the cache.
On the way from staying the night at Orere Point to Miranda wildlife Sanctuary. So picked a cache to find on the way and this looked like the safest one to stop at for miss 6 to find. TFTC
