Was going to try for this one and then saw the previous logs. Thought that instead I would simply check out the arfe for my next visit here.
Thanks for showing me this lovely red gum tree.
Thanks for showing me this lovely red gum tree.
We searched high and low but just couldn't find it today. We had fun looking though.
Had to avoid the dogs nearby but enjoyed the quick walk to this cache. Nice area. Awesome old gum! Thanks for the cache.
Good find! Good hint but didn't give it away. Rlly helped the hint that it wasn't in the dog park. Saved alot of unnecessary time. Great fun!
Loved this. Local bush and creeks are awesome. Last minute decision to look for this after doggie adventures so didn't have a pen. I have a photo insitu if you need it BaLuke. TFTC
Out for the usual day, early start, late finish, memorable adventures with SimsFamily and Neville Devil.
This was where we realised "winter is coming" not the warm starts we've become accustom to.
We were locked in at first then realised our mistake.
Log signed and replaced as found
Thanks for the Cache BaLuke

With a mega early start to the day leaving home before the sun was up. The days plans were to get Ausfox;'s 4000th find. He had picked Gollum's Cave for the milestone cache but needed to find 9 more before that. So with a slight detour he saw this nice cluster of 7 easily reachable caches to get that little bit closer to the his goal.
As we got out to cross the road to GZ the cold hit us full force. It was bitterly cold with some frost on the grass and all.
A little bit further along the path for this one which was found with retaliative ease
Thank you Baluke for the cache

A quick look around but then a dog owner came and I decided to keep moving. It's a fun place for a dog to run around here.
Wasn't as hard as we were expecting with a T4 rating....we really psyched ourselves up.
Nice hide and nice to see the muggles out at play with their dogs in this parcel of lovely land.

Ran into a fellow geocacher visiting from Europe!
However difficult cache to find, I'm worried that the cache may have been moved to a more difficult location based on comments from others. My cousin, also part monkey found the cache, without him we couldn't have found it. Definite climbing required.

Lovely to meet some local cachers here. Thankfully someone else did the climb for me! I fell down a hole on my walk away from this cache. Must be more careful!
This one would be hard to find with some doggy muggles, but given it was early Sunday morning and raining it wasn't too hard. GZ seemed obvious, but it still took a little looking to find it. TFTC.
Should have trusted our instincts, it was the first place we looked at and then searched elsewhere. Came back to finally see it. Good one
Logging this cache for Blobbyloo
At the dog park this morning with our dog and Blobbyloo really wanted to do this cache. There were a two other people in the park this morning but she quickly snuck around out of their view. There were a few spider webs. Blobbyloo then found the cache quite easily TFTC great hide

7/7/17 3:20 pm #2390 After an early day knock off in area decided I would grab a close by cache and fill another hole. This was a beauty and took a bit but found it soon . In my work gear I was inspecting river banks for erosion today lol
Thanks for the adventure.
Thanks for the adventure.

Was great to find no muggles around today, found after a few moments searching.
Cheers for the cache

Out with Lionlord for a few local(ish) caches to see what we could find.
This one had not been found in a while, so it was definitely up for the challenge. We searched high, we searched low, and even though it was not where I had thought, it did eventually make its way into my hot little hands.
Thanks BaLuke - tricky, but found.

We have been looking for ages to find a 4 star Terrain to fill in a gap on the D/T chart and now we have one - its been a good day!
Had a very pleasant day out today with Crusty K9 and Mr and Mrs Bunadoorian. We found this cache. Thanks for the cache, and the good company.
Left a little turtle... this turtle has travelled with us to two other countries but we couldn't find a big enough cache!

Enjoying a chance to cache in and around Diamond Valley. Enjoyable walk and series of hides in this reserve. TFTC TNLN
Staying in Diamond Creek for the weekend so took the opportunity to grab a few early morning caches. This turned out to be much easier than previous logs had me thinking. Please to be able to sign log.
Thanks baluke for placing & maintaining the cache for us to find.

I needed some time to myself, and a decent walk... or several short ones. There's a series in Diamond Creek that I've partially completed, and fits the bill quite nicely.
Well, it took me half the afternoon to mosey out here... wow, is it really the better part of two years since I tackled the rest of the Marngrook series?
This was my main target for the day... the nearby compound was pretty much empty at this late hour of the afternoon, so I had no need to creep around. Not that that is really possible with this kind of hide, it's either do, or walk away. Speaking of which, it was no certainty which way that equation would go, even when I'd surveyed the location. Hmmm... if it's there, then no problem; if it's much further, I'll have to weigh up the risks.
So... fortune favours the bold; up I went... to find that it WAS where I hoped.
Thanks baluke. I swear the hardest part of the find was getting the bloody log back in the container.
Oh, and a new D/T combo in the bag, bringing the tally up to 66.

We found this cache today at 2:35pm as number 15 of 31 on our Eltham Exploration Afternoon II. The dog walkers nearby could not see us grab this one as we leaned in for the find. Thanks from D & H B-A.
Find #1984
I was in Diamond Creek for a wedding and had some time to kill in the time between the service and reception when the main party headed off for photos. Most people went to the pub but I couldn't resist taking the time to check out a few local caches. This was my fifth in this series along the creek. I had missed this one on the way down as they weren't in my GPS and I was pulling coordinates off the phone. I realised as I walked back towards the car. A quick look here out of sight of the dog walkers and I spotted it. A first finder of the replaced cache. Was tricky to replace and glad not to lose it when I dropped to once before stashing it back in place. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache baluke. Time to head back to the wedding before trying a couple of others later.

Checked on this
Still intact but may move it in the future as the dog muggles are becoming so numerous

Suscoe came prepared with the long tool this morning, but it seems this cache is going to be a thorn in our side.
Couldn't see anything that resembled a cache here even at a higher altitude.
So it is still on the to do list and will require yet another trip to the Creek.
Lucky it is a pleasant location.

No luck with this one today. Read all the logs to find out what not to do, but still couldn't spot it.
Great spot and nice hide. Definitely not for the geokids. Lots of dog lovers nearby so some stealth is required....
Spent a while checking through logs and trees. Climbed and crawled around the hill but to no avail. Will continue to keep an eye on for further activity.
Defeated! We were sure we knew where the cache was likely to be, so repeated the oft mentioned approach in logs below and climbed too high. Then we spent some time reading logs, and took an alternative approach.. still no cigar. We will return!
Found today while in Melbourne collecting some pre solved mysteries and some unique DT caches.
Great area to hide a cache.
Thanks for the great little hide BaLuke.

A fresh winters morning out with 4 yr old Master D who has finally decided that he does like geocaching now, as long as he gets to hold the map (ie phone)! A few muggles in the dog park but we managed to find the cache quickly and admire the tree and then moss covered rock on the way back (little ones are easily distracted and amused!) TFTC
Walked around for a while. Passed beautiful puggles. Found by geolishy. Tftc beautiful spot.
"Found" on a short geocaching expedition on a day off work.
Great spot, but I found the log jammed in so tight I couldn't pull out out. Not having actually signed the log, I probably shouldn't log a find, but I recon I left my DNA on it, and that's as good as a signature these days anyway. Maybe if I had some pliers, but it really needs fixing.
Nice place anyway - Thanks baluke.

I made sure I had my boots with good grip on for this one given the terrain rating of 4. I was a bit disappointed to find a fairly easy terrain cache. Maybe it's a lot worse after a load of rain. The locals were at the park with their mutts, but I seemed to go unnoticed. TFTC baluke.
Found by Team Ninja 03/05/15, find number 609.
After walking from the previous cache we arrived at the coordinates and my parents decided I would be better retrieving this one alone! I took the lower approach given the difficulty rating but with no cache spotted I re-evaluated my approach and soon discovered the cache. TFTC!

Visiting friends just around the corner this morning and it's time to grab a couple of caches on the way home. A bit of a walk in the park on such a glorious morning.
Who let the dogs out, woof, woof... No dogs to be seen today and so a quick grab it was.
Thanks for placing this cache baluke
