Yes the cache has gone, so its time to close it.
The landowner prefers that it is not re instated -it creates more work having to definite between cachers acting suspicious on the surveillance camera and the other kind of dodgy person that is causing the problems. This road is to narrow and popular to safely move the cache.

Interesting road I have never been down before. Nice big Kauri at the top. Found the anti gravity device easily enough. Had a good search around but no cache. Hard to believe that we are the only cachers that have been past here in the last 9 months. Most likely the 1st to log a DNF. Suspect it is gone but happy to be proved incorrect.
Brain not working today. Look over the spot a few times until the brain clicked into gear.
waterproof log and info sheet added, log bag removed. Remember to act like a cacher not a theif.. i have it on good authority you need to smile for the camera;-)
Out looking for fresh air and a few caches before work time. Came across gz..and i thought goodness..wonder what's in there? Anyway..GPS was diving all over..so I cast my eyes around and the cache popped out at me. Clever
Out for a night cache. Nice and quiet at this time. Had a look for a while, met more than one spider but came across it eventually. Tftc!
Had some free time to kill today so thought I would add a few smiley faces across some "out in the west" caches. I was a bit worried about this one because there were new chains and locks on the gate but then I found it and the spider is still there guarding it. TFTC
Another great find while in the area.
Thanks for setting up this cache.
Liked the hint - made sense when searching.

Please take care retrieving this case. Auckland Council is concerned with security issues at the site including stealing of the gates.
We found this one guarded by a spider almost as big as the cache itself. Log signed and no-one was harmed or disturbed tftc
This is a busy road, its hard to not look suspicious when you are standing by the fence! let me in, no I am not dumping rubbish. GPS a little out for this one? decided that could not be many options, after increasing search area, the cache was soon spotted. Thanks for the hide
Found quick and easy no problems, is this the truth or a lie? It is in fact a big fat lie. Gps had me at other end of road, read logs and reversed back up road, another lie, turned around and drove back up road. Surveyed the area, well it is a historic place, thought like JB12 it would be a could not find, but on hold on! that does not look right, cache in hand. Back in car and down came the rain, last cache for the day.
wow, another just because smilie here thanks. enjoying a wee spin on such lovely country roads.
Mr ANZ is pretty tall (or our party was pretty short). Obviously an issue with rubbish around here
Today we were embarking on finding 50 in a day km apart for a challenge. The day started well, but soon became apparent that our planning wasn't going to make the day easy. We ploughed on but after 7hrs and only 25 finds, we decided to abandon our efforts for another day, with a better plan. This was a nice 20th find for the day. All quiet down here today. Took a while to locate. SL. TFTC.
A nice placement just because we didn’t need to use the nearby assistance device, TFTC.
cache re worked, good to go.

some sort of logic, they decided to tidy up around this fixture alone, and succeed in removing the caches hiding place - although luckly not the cache thanks to the timely arrival of Gorbygorbachov:-) have to re think this one ( liked the re hide by G.. but not secure enough)
I searched... I searched.... I was about to give up after having to grapple with very large spiders at night along with some small wetas, then I spotted the cache container laying on the ground to the left hand side of the gates!! So after singing the LB, I hid it carefully in much the same pozi as I could, co-ords might be slightly out though but most cachers will be able to spot it.
Found after a wee search. I've seen historic cemeteries before, but not a historic landfill. Kinda weird really. Thanks!
I got a couple of queer looks from some passing muggles going for their morning exercise.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
Took ages sidekick only found it once the location was extended away from where the gps was telling us.
Another nice little parking area and another nice little hide. Co-ords a bit out for this one but common sense prevailed. TFTC
Too much broken glass and little hands made for a fretty Daddy so we didn't spend too long searching here. Got a couple of strange looks from passing cars - it is very hard to look innocent with two little girls in front of those gates!
Managed to spot quite quickly. I was amazed at the amount of litter on the ground in the area. For a while, I thought I was back driving in the UK. TFTC.
Out and about for a Sunday drive (yep, I know its Saturday) and finding a few easy drive-by caches. All of these hides in the series are well thought out and have parking etc, so a good little series. Although some of the hints made no sense at all, even after I found the caches!! Thanks.
Decided there was time for some quick cache finds on my drive home after wandering around rural West Auckland this afternoon. Cache wasn't in the first spot I checked, it was in the spot just like it just 10+ metres away. Cheers for the cache placement!
I think that gate must be the Most Searched in Auckland...same as everyone else, took me a while with a few GPS tricks, but got there in the end, cheers V.
I found this with my dad sorry about the very late log we are doing all my late logs today during the school holidays
Spent awhile searching on the gate before locating cache. A quick easy find when we looked in the right place
Must have inspected evey mm of that gate at least twice before finally locating the cache.

thanks sp8sm8, i am glad for a change there is actually some one honest enough to say it took a little longer then "quick find" every one seems to note.. ( i have started believing the opposite actually when i see that now lol)
Decided on making a short detour on the way home from Bethells and attempted to grab this one. Managed to make it a bit harder on ourselves than we should by relying too much on the GPS. Extended the search area away from where we were being told to go (but in an equally logically place to search) and soon had the cache in hand. TFTC
Seeing this new cache get published a few days ago and already having plans to come out this way on the weekend, decided id get this one on the way home from a days caching at Bethells. With both evilno9 and i both looking, we ended up overthinking it and it took way longer than it should have! TFTC!
Found orginally as part of phasevisitor team, now created own account, re-logging as yorkshirekiwi83.
We needed a cache for the day to continue our 31 days of caching streak for August, so decided to head out after work for one of the new 'Just Because' caches. The road was busy and we ended up over-shooting JB5, so we decided to continue on to JB6, where the road was much quieter! Cache found after a short search, TFTC!

so nice to see a nice normal member gets to share in the joy of a FTF for a change, it does feel good.. in and ideal world it would be nice to think that some of the big number people might be considerate enough to back off and let a few more go sometimes... Mr allitatorsnz
FTF ! Very excited as this is my first FTF ! Joint find with Ric !
Ric saw it had come up as a new local placement, so we jumped in his car (had more petrol than mine),and as we both live near Swanson dashed up to Kay Rd ! So cool to see blank log !
Was raining but didn't even stop to grab a jacket ! Thanks Alligatorsnz !
So good to have more out this way !

We hadn't had our cellphone with us this morning, and had been inside (for lunch) for a while when we noticed a new Just Because cache. It wasn't too far away so we decided to take a quick trip in the countryside.. . Just Because. When we reached GZ we spotted signs of searching so knew the FTF was gone. Confrmed when we found the cache. Signed log at 1pm.
Congratulations on the FTF Supernanny and Ric1942!
