Have to admit after what we thought was a thorough search, we needed a little prompting from the CO. Its Amazing how quickly one can find a cache once theyve been told where to focus! In our defence, there is a lot of camouflage at the moment! Thanks Aussie Fun Seakers for placing and maintaining the cache for our enjoyment. #2449
Motorhoming around in winter and finding a cache here and there. But now it's Spring and we are heading home to Queensland. This was a bit difficult for we oldies to locate but we finally managed.TFTC in such a lovely location.
All the works in this area is now completeI checked cache this morning and all is good to go again Cheers
I will get this cache up and running as soon as the works are complete alongThe channel. About another 4 weeks Sorry for the inconvenience
Due to works getting done on the channel here it is all fenced offThis work will take a few weeks will keep you postedSorry for any inconvenience
Tricky but got there, both in accessing cache and finding itAn absolutely pearla of a day to do some caching while here to celebrates friends birthdays. Just stunning! Thanks for bringing me here Aussie Fun SeakersRegardskbucky
We enjoyed the ride alongside the lake as we followed the path.Today we left Echuca and traveled the short distance to Cohuna with short diversions into Gunbower and Leitchville with a number of other stops for caches as well.We have a fantastic camp right in the middle of town in Cohuna with a grassy sight on the lake. Couldn't ask for more!We spent the afternoon catching up with family after a bike ride round the area.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Aussie Fun Seakers.**SKI Pair****
Checked on cache this morning and have replaced with new oneAll good to go
We finally got the chance to come up and camp at Gunbower Island for a few days. While there was lots of relaxing and fishing going on, there was also some geocaching to be done. During the local Cohuna Parkrun this morning, Chook was well aware that she was walking/jogging past this cache but wasn't going to stop to look for it at that time. Fuelled up by breakfast afterwards, she returned with Chunk and just as well she hadn't stopped during the run because we gave it a good 10 minutes search before we decided to move on to the next one. Chances are the cache is there and just too good for our aging eyes today. Hopefully we will return in less than 7 years (which is the gap between today and our last visit) and be able to give it another shot. Thanks anyway Aussie Fun Seakers.
Mosquitos were bad and the kids got & tired. We had a look around but had to mark this one to try again another day.
DNF at 1:01 PM.
Had a rummage amongst the bushes and grass on both sides of the path, but couldn't find anything - at least this time there was a hint though which we were grateful for.

This cache has eluded us for some time, maybe a dose of cache blindness.
After calling the CO and meeting up for lunch in town, we can finally say our name is in the log. It was suspected the cache has wandered off as families frequent the area finding "Cohuna Rocks".

While we didn’t find this cache, we did find a few Cohuna Rocks to excite the kids!
A quick and easy find, after a DNF last time in town.
Very nicely hidden, no wonder we couldn’t find it in the dark last time!
Blends in so well.

Had a great day out with LittleBoss2 where she clocked over her 800th find. Not a great day weather wise, but a great day cache wise in and around this cache rich town. Our thanks to all the CO's for their part in our tour, and for very accurate coords despite the clouds above.
We had one crack at this, then decided to do the scouts one before returning, where LB2 made a quick find this time. Funny how that works so often.

Away for a couple of days with Bogonghazy. Enjoying the walks around Cohuna. Sneaky hide. Thanks for placing the Geocache
Parked the Lil' Red Truck in the rest area and set off on foot looking for a small beast
Once at GZ it didn't take long to capture the bison. [:o)]
Good camouflage and the hint was helpful
Thank you for the cache Aussie Fun Seakers. A FP for this one [^]
Now to continue our walk to find a scout hall.

I’ve been here 3 days in a row and still can’t find it , hopefully maybe tomorrow’s fresh eyes will see it!
Needed a bit of an extra hint to narrow down our search.
Thank you very much Aussie Fun Seekers!
After giving up and grabbing some lunch we headed back and searched a bit further into the bushes. A sneaky hiding spot. Great camouflage! Thank you.

With the promise of much warmer weather we set out early for a day's caching around Leitchville and Cohuna. As on previous days we found a variety of caches in historic and interesting locations. Great cammo, gets a FP today.
Our thanks to 'Aussie Fun Seakers' for adding this cache to the geo-gameboard.

Thank you Aussie-Fun-Seakers.. Finally found it, with a hint. A very tricky cache but now I have found it, it looks easier.
Checked on cache today The cache is there but grass very long
Made a few changes to D/T rating due to so many DNFs
Added a bit to the notes and added a hint
Co-ords slighty changed a lot of trees so GPS may take a bit to settle
Good luck

I note that the CO has made some changes since this log was drafted. So I won't say what I was going to say, other than to say that the DoD was absolutely incorrect, and light tree cover is no excuse for GPS inaccuracy ever. At least the dog got a walk, but it should never have featured in a 1.5/1.5 D/T filter as it was a time waster on a day when we had a lot of travelling to do.
DNF'd during our COVID 2020 Murray River trip. While Melbourne was in a state of turmoil rural Victoria was still okay, and with 4 weeks leave, and all the borders closed we decided the only warmish place in Vic was going to be as north as we could get. After a decade or so travelling north and west we started on the trips we'd left til later - the Murray River. Starting from East Gippsland we got to Wemen out of Robinvale before they announced Victoria was going back into Stage 3. Now we're working our way back home and avoiding Melbourne. Found this along the way. TFTC. DJ

Not for us and not for want of trying. Like others GPS ll over the place. Given the number of recorded DNFs which are usually a small percentage of actual dnfs maybe the difficulty should be raised a peg or two.
Cold and icy morning but I still had a decent look for 15 mins but no luck Cohuna is hard so far!
What a delight. Got to meet the lovely Lorna (CO) this morning to help find this one. As usual it was no where near as hard as it first appeared. The GPS might have been giving me a little mixed message given the tree cover but it was still right there within the accuracy. Sorry I wasn’t able to stay longer for a chat or a walk along the path. Will have to visit again for the remaining caches! Thanks again.
Thought I had picked a few quick caches as I didn’t have much time up my sleeve but it appears I was wrong. On arriving I noted the string of DNFs which I hadn’t expected for a D1.5 cache. After searching bushes and branches for 20 odd minutes i was unable to come up with the goods. This had also exhausted the time I had before needing to get back to camp.
The Sisterhood of the Cargo Pants were out on the road again today, destination an event in Cohuna. Searched everywhere, this one got us bushwhacked. Nice walk though.
Another cache that was a time gobbler. We spent at least 1/2 hour searching , found a painted rock. Just as we were going to pull up stumps that old famous saying - here is the b........ rang out. So pleased having found it. Thanks AFS .
Very good took a bit to find but on works time so got all the time in time in the world
Checked on this cache today seeing that there are a couple DNF but all good with
Cache sitting waiting to be found.

Spent a long time here with no result. So many possibilities for a micro, and we clearly missed the vital one. Our only DNF today. Our thanks anyway to Aussie Fun Seakers.
That was a tricky little sod!
Also found some painted rocks made by the local Cohuna kids. Collected some up and taking them to Renmark.

Catching up on a backlog of caches found whilst heading back home from our annual Family Reunion held this year in the South Australian riverland town of Bowhill
Loved this park. Could have spent a whole lot longer here but time was getting on
The cache was found in excellent condition considering the recent DNF's at 11.45am
Many thanx to Aussie Fun Seekers

We checked on this cache this morning. It is still sitting there
So all good with it.

Oh dear!!!! Had a big day planned today but didn't get to do all the caches we had planned because we spent way too much time here [unsuccessfully].
Kept saying 5 more minutes [about 5 times].
This one was too good for us. We read the logs, did as a few suggested and stood back and tried to get our caching brains to kick in, but nothing worked.
The only thing I can say in our defence is that our GPS had us at about 4 different spots which meant a very large area had to be searched.
Thanks for the challenge, we'll be back one day!!!!!

Had a really good search and even met Aussiediab a nubie cacher.
We all looked hard in the dark with no joy.

Rex and I headed out for a day's caching with the intention of finding a cache in Leitchville that I had previously DNFd at least twice and we had a pretty good day with just the two of us making 15 finds and only 2 DNFs at the last 2 cache hunts for the day.
Although the trip did involve a policeman and it was ONLY 8.30pm when he stopped to take my details in Cohuna as I searched for a cache near the CFA He didn't even mention the spider web of duct tape that covered the cardboard over Harry's still shattered rear canopy window!
As I have been about 8 months behind in logging, I'm resorting to template logs to catch up.
My heartfelt thanks to the COs who have placed some tricky, funny, exercise required, scary, interesting and devious caches in some amazing spots! [^]
Rex and I have had some amazing adventures and enjoyed some incredible moments thanks to this fantastic hobby
I love the bush sights in Victoria [^] and the history and stories of the determination of the pioneers. [^]

Been and checked cache all good still tucked away. Put a new log in it.
Good luck and Happy New Year.

Suscoe had a big day out to the north west of Echuca today.
Clear skies, beaut weather, a warm sun and caching, what could be better!!!
We enjoyed wandering the roads and little towns as we went.
Thanks to the Aussie Fun Seekers for this cache, the GPS was a little contrary here today. We looked around for a while and eventually the little blighter was located.
We were amused by the fisherman in the Keep Out area at the weir, seemed like he has done that before, a bird had joined him, must be a good spot at times.

Difficult search! Very well disguised, had to widen a little bit more than the co-ords
TFTC. Found with my Westie Besties Maggie and Mollie and help from our Carer Lis Brown on our trip from Shepparton to Mildura.
Found quickly by the the 7 year old geodaughter with our 2 new geofriends. Was clever but not too hard. Previous logs did help a lot. SL and replaced. TFTC!
A lovely walk along the creek. Had to widen our search before the treasure was found! Lovely area TFTC
What a lovely area for a stroll, wasn't too long searching but backtracked around the area a bit before finding it a little bit tricky but we got there in the end TFTC
Taking the geo kids caching during the school holidays, while towing a 24 foot caravan. We'll grab every opportunity to grab a cache. While geo hubby enjoyed the water way we went and had a search for this well hidden little fella.

#1581 We were finally on our way to the Flinders Ranges and beyond, the lead up to the trip seemed to drag out somewhat (must of been the thought of escaping from work). We had left home late (as per the norm) and arrived in Cohuna for a late lunch and a chance to collect a cache of course. After checking a few options, Mr BGF found a possible hidey spot and voila.
