Enjoyed a BBQ with friends in Gulf Harbour and decided to head out during the last sun hours to get some geocaching done. Took a while to find but made the find in the end.TFTC
Out with a group of friends grabbing caches in Shakespeare Park today. What a glorious day for it.
Great little cache. Lovely spot!
Find #632. Thanks for the cache. 24/08/2014 13:02

2nd visit to try to find this one. Called in once on a kayaking adventure but without my gps so was stumbling around in the dark. Did a bit of research and after a nice run around the park called in, again without a gps, but this time a very quick find. Should have paid more attention to the cache name! Thanks Matt. TFTC
was giving up when i found it, per my GPSr 10m out, but based on the cache name, dead on.
Easily found after continuing south along shore from beach at low tide. Following a group heading off to fish. We headed east up the paddock from here. Just enjoying the stroll. NINO TFTC
Hey there Matt, out for a stroll to check our cache and took the chance to do this and a couple of others, nice hide and in a great spot, tftc. Bryan
A nice walk along the rocks to gz, lots of families in park today

Checked up on all of my remaining caches today to get them all up and running for the Christmas break - happy to say this one is now ready for the next keen geocacher! enjoy!
Found orginally as part of phasevisitor team, now created own account, re-logging as yorkshirekiwi83.
We spent the afternoon picking up a few caches around Whangaparaoa. The tide was well out when we arrived, so we took a stroll around the bay and quickly found this cache. TFTC!

I'm not sure why the pests just don't go around the end of the fence at low tide. I hope the gauntlet of traps does the job. The wind passing through the fence today made an interesting whistling noise. Cheers for the cache.
Went out and checked up and replaced caches that needed to be. This cache is now ready and waiting for the next keen geocacher! Thanks team welshe for this!
Only had some old notes on the GPSr, including that it needed replacing, so only had a 'half-hearted' looked, but surprised that if there was a new one there that I didn't find it. Thanks for the walk NZ Breaker Matt
As promised we have replaced the nano container with a nice new one and removed the shell of the previous one. Slightly smaller nano so we had to remove the end of the log book so we could fit it back in again. Nearly forgot to sign the log but remembered just in time. Should be all good to re-enable again. Thanks for the cache
Brought a couple of Western Springs College teams to the Auckland Secondary School Rogaine championships, so while they were doing their run, I sought out some checks of my own. Didn't realise that this one had been disabled. GPS had me some distance away, but when that came up nought (and couldn't understand the hint), I used logic to find the cache. Still dry even with only a shell as a lid. Had a sift around, but failed to find the original lid. TFTC.
We got a spare nano if you want us to replace it when we visit sometime this week.
Nice walk around the rocks TFTC
The lid of the container is missing :O

Over in NZ for a family furneral next Tuesday, had to get out of the house, and this one had been on my radar for a couple of years. Every time in the past I'd tried, it rained on me. The sun was shining today, for how long????? Pam said go for it.
[;D]I do love Shakspears Park, what has been done here, excellent.[^] [^]
I tried to get to this one from Shakespears Park, forget it.
Back around the hill again, pulled up next to a couple who had just arrived, they were dilly dalling around, so I set off for the GZ, half way there, I turned around, there they were following me. Must be cachers, no one else would be heading this way, sp8sm8 caught up at the GZ.
Life does get easier with 3 pairs of eyes looking.
Mrs sp8sm8 found it, passed the log around for signing.
All good with the cache.

We had planned on a walk to Zombie Apocolypse, but the wind made that side to unpleasant so we came here instead. Met an Australian cacher, sweet and sour at GZ, found this one together and wandered to the next together as well.

As I still had a bit of time before the tide came in I decided to knock this one off. I was successful.
Cheers for the cache.
Picked this up on the way back from the Stringy Tree. Fortunately it was a nice day as I had to spend sometime looking...in all the wrong places!! Nice hide TFTC
We were just about to leave the event "31 Days of Caching - you made it! when this notification came through. It was a quick decision to join forces with slieschke and head out for an attempt for an FTF. A quick check of the tides for the other new cache and off we headed. As it was just on 9.00 pm and the gates were about to close we opted to walk from the car park. One at GZ the cache did not take too long to find and we were greeted with a blank log book. Joint FTF with slieschke. TFTC.
FTF with rosmar!
After finding the other new cache further along the beach we made our way back to find this one. The area to search was obvious but we managed to go right past it on first look. After searching further along returned a second time and the wee hide was located. Rolling up and replacing the log took about as long as finding the cache but we got there in the end!
Thanks!
